shidou ryusei loves biting you randomly, he doesn't even care if you guys are in public. he loves chomping on your cheeks because he thinks your reaction is so cute when he bites you randomly!

shidou ryusei is the type of guy to call out on somebody if they get close to you too much, even if they're just a bypasser who happens to ask you for direction to a place.

"ryu! don't scare them off. they're just asking the direction." you said while his hands are on your waist. "I don't care, babe." he replies in a teasingly way. he is a stubborn man :x

shidou ryusei is also the type of guy to do the sidewalk rule, he wants to keep you safe. he's also the type of guy to hold your umbrella when it started to pour rain. he's a gentleman, gotta love him for that!

on the other side, shidou ryusei is the type of guy to bully other people on roblox. whether it'd be on mic or chat. he prefers on mic since his chats would always turn out hashtags. He's annoyed whenever his chats turns out to be hashtags as the other person will say "sorry, I don't speak tags." it gets him on his nerves.

shidou ryusei will jump on anyone whenever someone tells you your outfit isn't good at 'dress to impress'. he always rates you 5 stars, even if it wasn't much effort. He's super proud of you! Although, he doesn't like it whenever he put too much effort on his outfit, only resulting the people who didn't even follow the theme to be on top 3.

"Are these players crazy?!, they didn't even follow the theme!" shidou ryusei exclaimed while you're beside him, resting your head on his shoulder, watching him play the game. "Calm down, ryu." You murmured and kissed his cheeks afterwards, hoping that'll comfort him.

shidou ryusei will introduce you to sae, sae didn't even ask for it. shidou just wanted you to meet the japan football prodigy, he's really fascinated by him and his skills. he might even ask sae to join you guys on a date, but sae will surely refuse the invitation.

shidou ryusei being the big spoon whenever you guys are sleep beside each other in bed. He always hugs you tightly so good luck on that!

"ryu, im dying!" you weakly whispered as he's hugging you tightly on the bed, the tanned young man quickly looses his arms around you and looks at you for a while. "m sorry baby" he apologizes then smiled at you. He's glad you have patience on him, he loves you very much.

shidou ryusei who made a promise to himself that one day he'll watch you walking down in an aisle, with your pretty wedding dress and the people you love watching you guys getting married together.

I’m totally normal about the Hadestown AU idea for the life series. Here’s a cast and understudy list that I ended up creating in the process :D

Eurydice - Jimmy (Skizz understudy)

Orpheus - Scott (Tango understudy)

Fates - Gem, Pearl, Cleo (Lizzie, BigB, & Bdubs understudy)

Hermes - Martyn (Ren understudy)

Hades - Grian/Watchers (Watchers understudy)

Persephone - Scar (Mumbo understudy)

Band - Ren, Impulse, Joel ft. Oli/OrionSound (Etho understudy on Creepers & Noteblocks)

Workers - Everyone else (Lizzie, Skizz, Mumbo, Tango, BigB, Bdubs, and Etho)

Based on a mix on if the characters were actually part of the story and if they were putting on the theater show. (Main cast being actual Hadestown AU and the understudy part being based on theater shows)

More yapping, thought process, and reasoning under the break!

It’s been pretty common headcanon for Jimmy to be Eurydice because of Hades’ line of needing a canary! That naturally left two people in mind for Orpheus: Scott and Tango. I felt Scott’s personality could match Orpheus best plus flower husbands shows how much Scott would care for Jimmy to go to the underworld for him! Therefore, I put Tango as Orpheus’ understudy. Furthermore, people have headcanoned Skizz with angel wings which I thought could be easily dyed or generally match the canary headcanon. Additionally, I have seen ships of Skizz/Tango and Skizz/Scott so whoever is on playing the role has great chemistry either way!

Grian/Watchers felt quite the obvious choice for Hades and therefore DESERT DUO!! I mean, Scar as Persephone mainly because of Desert Duo but also that he would totally be theatrical and play the part really well. Mumbo as Persephone’s understudy felt like the next best choice because of the Mumbo and Grian pairing but also Mumbo and Watchers pairing with the Watchers playing with him with the coal miner curse.

Both Martyn and Ren were under consideration for Hermes because storytelling and theatrics. However, Martyn is quite involved with creating the Eyes and Ears AU and playing a character that tells the same story again, hoping for perhaps a happy ending, seems like Martyn. Martyn also has to suffer/go through every season of the life series and it’s essentially that they are playing the same game over and over again. Additionally, with the numerous SMPs Martyn has been in, we’ve seen him be warm and caring to a good amount of the members especially Jimmy (ie. Property Police & Big Dogs) and Scott (Mean Gills). This fits Hermes’ personality and actions of guiding Orpheus/Scott to finding his love. On the other hand, Ren has musical talent which would be very useful for the band but I still put him as Hermes’ understudy! Ren would be equally as caring and tell the story just as well.

The Fates was a little more difficult to decide as I kept thinking if Gem or Lizzie should be the 3rd fate. Out of everyone on the list, Cleo, Pearl, Gem, and Lizzie felt the most fitting for the Fates. All 4 have enough heart to bully Jimmy and be kinda wicked (especially Pearl and Cleo). I ended up deciding to put Gem as a fate because Gem has been more involved with roleplay in the series, Lizzie has had conflicts with Cleo (not serious but they’ve butt heads often), and I can just see Lizzie more as a worker. I mean, I just realized Pearl and Gem has their own head butting but they’ve also had plenty of moments where they work well together as well. Gem and Cleo have a pretty decent relationship with each other too, I feel they work together well enough. So I ended up having Lizzie understudy the Fates along with BigB and Bdubs. As far as I’m aware, both Lizzie and Bdubs have singing abilities so they’d make great featured ensemble roles and understudies! BigB’s creaking and being in the neutral zones for most seasons he’s in convinced me to put him as an understudy for the Fates as he fit the vibes and could also bully some peeps >:)

Finally, the band! While not usually casted, I decided to include it cause why not? All those on the band has shown instrumental abilities and I included Oli in it too cause he’s been a big part of the life series with his music composing! Plus, I know Oli and Joel have played together too and it’d be a massive help to have him join the band. The rest of the life series members were then put into the ensemble/casted as the workers, each one also being an understudy for a different role!

This cast of characters have got each others’ backs and they’re going to tell a tragic story together. If I have time and motivation in the future, I might actually draw concept art and/or for this AU! Thank you for reading about my yapping. They didn’t get enough screen time together

Like I always here “jiara is so cute” “jiara is end game” but like carlacia even said the only reason cleo and jj didn’t get together is because THE FANS wanted jiara. Not the directors, not the actors. The Fans. Personally I think jj and cleo would’ve been much better since they both match each others energy and cleo would’ve stabbed Groff if he had tried to hurt jj.

i feel like this is a controversial take, but i dont like that cleo is part of the pogues. rant :

dont get me wrong, cleo is one of my fav characters from the show. cleo and pope is my fav (only fav) ship from the show. but i hate how cleo's character outline feels like its been reduced to 'oh shes pope's gf'

they made her a main part of the show only halfway thru and almost instantly she and pope are on the way to become bf and gf. and see i love strangers to lovers as much as the next guy but really, who is cleo?

she doesnt get her own season, she doesnt have her own separate storyline, the focus is never on her the way it is on the rest of the pogues. how did she adjust to the kook vs pogue dynamic? how did she react to being stranded on a deserted island with people who, are strangers to her, other than just 'ah fuck it we ball' and being brave about it? BRO WHATS HER LAST NAME???

all we know about her past is how terrance is a father figure to her and the only time she shows any emotion other than 'ill cut you', is when he dies, and when shes with pope. atleast thats my opinion. we never see her when shes just her.

in s3 she calls the pogues out and shes the reason they even go to the dock to find kiara, where was that dynamic for the rest of the show? who is cleo as her own person and what does she repeatedly add to the group?

who is cleo? if you asked me that rn, i would say oh shes a pogue, shes pope's gf, but i personally, would not be able to describe her the way id be able to describe kiara or sarah.

i will always shit on the obx writers for how they fucked the female characters but the way they did cleo dirty will always hurt me on a different level. there is just so much wasted potential. when i was watching the show, cleo was introduced as a main part when the cross thing was still happening, and the cross was such a big part of pope's storyline, which was focused on his race right? go back to s1, the way rafe absolutely wrecked pope's face on the golf course seemed to be more of a hate crime, the way he burnt the cross, destroying pope's ancestry is another symbolic event in my eyes. keep in mind this post isnt me saying rafe is racist, this is about a black woman, dont let a white man steal the spotlight.

my point is, i expected there to be something that ties her in with the whole plot, i expected to watch her adjust to how the kooks vs pogues separation was set and how much harder it wouldve been on a woman of color. think back to how rafe calls kie half a pogue and half a kook. kie is as far as i know a mixed woman right? how is a mixed woman the only time we've seen a kook poc? think about it.

i deal with racism and colorism on a daily basis. and personally, i would've been FUCKED outta my mind if i had to deal with the rich vs poor thing too. and i was waiting so hard to watch cleo having to deal with all this because lets be honest, its a reality. where was all this? they half assed a character who had so much potential to add to the show and ill forever be pissed about it.

if they werent going to give her character the plotline she deserved, they never shouldve added her at all.

warning: shidou ryusei x fem!reader, physical touch, uses of nicknames like 'lover' 'pookie' etc. lowkey embarrassing you, you guys are inside the mall btw :x and shidou paid for the photobooth thingy:p

you and the tanned young man are waiting while the other booths are full. as you guys are waiting, you both picked accessories that you can use in the photobooth. "hey, you should wear this!" ryusei suggested. you turn your head around to see a sunglasses that has a 'happy birthday!' on top of glasses. "It's your birthday today, you should wear that!" ryusei insisted, his voice was loud that other people passing by are now looking at you both.

"no, i won't wear that ryu. it's too embarrassing.." you muttered and returned to your original position, looking for better accessories to wear. "c'mon now babe! it looks good on you!" your boyfriend exclaimed, even the cashier is now looking at you both. "Okay then, let's pick other accessories first, okay?" you agreed, seeing your man grinning like a child now. The accessories picked is now in a basket.

the accessories that shidou ryusei chose was a velociraptor headwear, a chainsawman headwear, the 'happy birthday' glasses, a random glasses, and a sign that said "I'm so inlove with her -> ". Whilst you chose anything that was pleasing to your eye:D

When it was you and your boyfriends turn, the cashier instructed the rules of the photobooth. You chose an accessory that you wanted for the first photoshoot, while ryusei chose the velociraptor headwear. Ryusei clicked 'start' at the screen and a timer started to countdown at the screen. You quickly tried to fix your hair while your boyfriend is just looking at you. When the timer went 1 second, Ryusei swiftly held your shoulder and shoved your body on his chest. The camera captured your late reaction, you looked like you were still processing what he did while your lover smiled at the camera.

"why'd you do that, ryu?" you questioned your pookie and saw that there was a timer again on the screen. you didn't have much time to change your accessory and saw ryusei having the sign in his hand, pointing the sign "I'm so inlove with her ->" beside you with the random glasses he chose. You pose for the camera, and it flashed right after you did.

For the third picture, you chose another accessory while shidou chose to wear the chainsawman headwear and helped you wear the glasses that had a 'happy birthday!' design. you kissed his cheek and the camera flashed, capturing the moment.

For the last picture, you chose an another accessory but didn't remove the glasses. You fixed your clothes and hair while ryusei waited for you to get ready. you guys posed, showing a peace sign but at the last moment, your lover kissed your cheek. The camera flashed, capturing the moment once again.

The screen is now loading, you and your boyfriend is now waiting for the picture to print. "We should do this often more, babe." Ryusei suggested. "Mhm, I love capturing our moments." You lovingly replied to him. You and your lover returned the accessories in the basket and got out of the booth once the pictures had been printed.

The cashier has recieved the basket of the accessories you guys chose. "Y'know, you were really cute in that glasses that had a 'happy birthday' on top!" ryusei complimented you while you're just getting embarrassed as people can overhear your conversation and know that it's your birthday today. Ryusei even sang you happy birthday, embarrassing you even more.

"It's your birthday today?" The cashier finally asked you, you were gonna answer but your man cut you off. "Yeah, It's my beautiful, magnificent, gorgeous, smart, and fantastic lovers birthday today!" He was really glad the cashier asked that. "Do you wanna know the story of how me and my beautiful girl met?" Ryusei asked the cashier. "Baby, let's go. I'm hungry" You told him, hoping to leave the poor cashier alone. " I'll tell the story next time. Well then, See ya!" Your lover told the cashier and left him alone.

And now you guys are walking together looking for restaurants around the mall, and he's staring at the picture that the photobooth had taken. He's now smiling, continuously staring at the picture. He loves you very much.
