arcane women nsfw headcanons
(vi, caitlyn, sevika, ambessa)
cw: 18+, overstimulation, brief mention of bdsm, choking, spit, i talk about both topping and bottoming with each characters.
vi:
when topping: eats it for her own pleasure: meaning she can have her face buried in between your thighs for hours and hours on end, pushing you back down onto the bed whenever you’d try lift yourself up and get away from the onslaught of overwhelming pleasure. service top when she’s in a good mood, sure — she’d be obsessed with your sounds, the way your walls would flutter around her. it would be making love rather than sex: sweet and tender. but when she isn’t in a good mood? she’d be selfish and greedy. more focused on her own pleasure than yours. her stroke game would be Crazy… ?!?? fast and rough as fuck. like let us breathe, damn!
when bottoming: a shameless MOANER!!! vocal as fuck obviously. she drools, whining in frustration when she doesn’t get what she wants. loves to arch her back. she’d have sensitive ass nipple piercings that would drive her insane if you touched them, crying out if you’d flick your tongue against them. pants like a bitch and breathlessly begs to cum hehehehe
caitlyn:
when topping: would treat you as if you were a fucking science experiment, meaning she’d explore what would stimulate you the most and push you to extreme lengths to see what would truly break you. murmuring ‘ah…’s and humming to herself in fascination when she clocks your reactions, what would make you squirm and twitch like crazy. she’d be pretty cruel, not giving a fuck if you’d start crying. a little ‘poor baby’ would suffice. a freakaleek…. bdsm would go WILDDDD with her, and you wouldn’t expect it too; the way she carries herself so humbly in public.
when bottoming: heavy breather until you’re, like, three rounds in… that’s when the whining and the drawled moans and whimpers start to come out full throttle. power bottom, would communicate if she wanted you to keep doing what you’re doing. “just like that, don’t stop…” would lace her fingers through your hair if you were eating her out, gripping it tightly if the pleasure was truly messing her uppppp! not only your hair, her hands would find purchase in anything to hold on to if you were fucking her good, good.
sevika:
when topping: ohhh this bitch likes to taunt… i mean, taunt taunt you. she’s so teasing, laughing at the helpless look on your face. she’d force you to look up at her, make eye contact as she’s fucking you senseless. would play coy when she’d stop just as you were on the brink of releasing, “oh? is something wrong?” would gently yet patronisingly shush you if you started to cry. oh my fucking god and the smearing??? she would spit on your already weeping pussy and spread it with her fingers, mixing it with your arousal. shit, she’d make you suck her fingers before smearing it all over your face, especially if your face was already wet with tears. she’d love squishing your face, giving it a playful shake whilst knowing you were on the brink of passing out. PET NAMES!!!! bunny, baby, princess, sweetheart would not fail to leave her lips. good at hiding how pathetic she really is, except when she’s eating the fuck out of your pussy, being so driven by your sounds and the way you taste that she’d cum without even being touched.
when bottoming: professional hip buckler. so fucking stupid. you’d see a completely different side to the sevika she usually presents herself as, being a needy and whining mess instead: eyes rolling to the back of her head. loves being overstimulated, babbling words like ‘yesyesyes’ that slur together. if you’d choke her, you’d be able to visibly see her brain kick down a few gears; the foggy eyes, arched eyebrows and slack jaw combo would be sososo cute :(( would nod along like a bobble-head to anything you’d tell or ask her to do, with her lil puppy eyes too. maybe a little bit of a masochist,,,,, shhhhhh
ambessa:
when topping: oh ambessa would know how to FUCK. it would be so easy for her to find your sweet spots, and she’d be vigilant like a hawk about it. she’d hit your g-spot consistently, her movements precise and efficient. she’d enjoy your shyness, your struggle with looking at her in the eye: finding it adorable. would talk you through your orgasm. sweet voice whispering praises in your ear as you teetered on the edge of a searing climax. your waist would be her favourite thing to hold on to, especially if she’s giving you back-shots. her lips would be rested in a satisfied smile throughout the entire thing.
when bottoming: hmmmmm i feel like bottoming would kind of be an extension to her topping, meaning she wouldn’t be a bottom 😭 ambessa is such a dominant, powerful character that it’s quite hard to imagine her as submissive. so she’d just let you pleasure her once in a while, praising you as you’d lap up her juices like a dog, fuelling you to do more. her moans would come from her throat, face falling a little if it felt a little too good.
a/n: fofmfhskejfnsjwjdnnwjw something small whilst i cook up a long abby fic. (i miss writing long story fics🙁) lmk ur nsfw headcanons ab these characters >3<

Placements That Could Indicate Being a Great Author

Mercury Dominance
Mercury rules writing, the mind, communication, and storytelling. So you may automatically have a strong writing ability if you have a lot of Mercury-ruled placements (Gemini, Virgo) or Mercury aspects. Mercury in Gemini can give you quick thinking and strong writing abilities that's especially great for conversational or journalistic writing. Mercury in Virgo can give you a great ability to edit writing and write precisely. Having Mercury in the 3rd represents short-form content, daily writing, and journalism, while having it in the 9th represents publishing books, essays, or novels.
Mercury-Neptune aspects give you poetic, imaginative, and symbolic writing. You could write more fiction, fantasy, sci-fi, or spiritual writing. Mercury-Pluto aspects can give you the ability to write about darker and complex topics. You could write more thrillers, mystery, horror, or be an investigative journalist.
3rd, 5th, or 9th House Emphasis
The 3rd house is the house of communication, language, writing, speaking, and stories. Having multiple planets here can indicate writing and communicating being a big influence on your life. The 5th house is the house is creativity and self-expression. Having planets here can give you the talents of writing poetry, screenwriting, fiction, or children's literature. The 9th house is the house of higher education, publishing, philosophy, and truth-seeking. Having planets here could indicate writing nonfiction books or spiritual and philosophical essays.
Neptune Influence
Having strong Neptunian energy in your chart can bring a vivid imagination. It can bring you a lot of creativity and ideas for any type of book you're gonna write. Neptune in aspect to Mercury or the Moon adds emotional and symbolic power to your writing. It helps you channel stories and write story ideas that just come to you easily. Neptune in the 9th or 12th house suggests being a spiritual author or writing from your dreams or intuition.
Pluto Aspects
Having a good amount of Pluto aspects in your chart can intensify your writing. Moon-Pluto aspects can give you emotional courage. You might write based off of personal wounds, or write about lesser known topics with great empathy. Venus-Pluto aspects are perfect for dark fantasy and dark romance novels. You could be great at writing about complex and obsessive relationships, and stories with revenge plots. Stories about female rage and self-worth can also easily be written.
Uranus-Pluto aspects are great for dystopian fiction, activism-driven essays and stories, and experimental writing. Stories that evolve around freedom, control, trauma, and change are common with this aspect. You could also be interested in writing science fiction or futuristic stories.
Saturn Influence
People always talk about how Saturn is a difficult planet, but let's not forget how rewarding it is. It can bring stability through hard work, discipline, and major blessings (a bit more than Jupiter in my opinion and experience). Having Saturn in the 3rd, 9th, or 10th house can indicate being a serious writer that develops your voice and writing style over time. You could face early setbacks in writing and communicating, but you can gain recognition through perseverance. You could become a published author that's respected for your knowledge. Saturn-Mercury aspects could indicate being a slow but powerful thinker. You may be methodical and careful with your words. You may prefer refined and minimalist writing. You could struggle with self doubt early on, but become a true master of form and clarity.
Personal Planets in Air Signs
Having Gemini, Libra, or Aquarius as your Sun, Moon, Rising, Mercury, Venus, or Mars can help you excel in mental stimulation, research, and communication. Gemini helps you become versatile, a great multitasker, quick thinking, and natural writing abilities that are perfect for any type of writing. Libra helps you be polished, poetic, refined, and write with a great tone and pace. Aquarius helps you with unique story ideas, be innovative, idealistic, visionary, truthful, and write more about topics that can benefit entire communities and groups of people.
Jupiter in 3rd or 9th House
With Jupiter in the 3rd or 9th house, you could have a passion for sharing ideas, knowledge, and stories with the world. You could write large books or create a series of books and novels. It may be easier for you to get published, gain an audience, and attract mentors and people to work with.
Thank you so much for reading this! If you have any questions, let me know!

PROPAGANDA
Agatha Heterodyne
The main character mad scientist in a comic full of them
She's the titular Girl Genius, which is a good start. In the comic, mad science is genetic and called the Spark; she's the latest in a long line of of powerful, mostly evil Sparks who terrorized Europa for centuries, until her father and uncle became heroes instead. She's a bit in between the two extremes. Some of her greatest hits include: building a small army of self-replicating robots, briefly killing one of her romantic interests in order to cure him of a terminal illness (he thought it was a brilliant idea), repeating the procedure on herself, nearly blowing up after glimpsing the fabric of the universe, repairing the sentient castle at the heart of her town, frequently having to shuffle around brains that end up in the wrong body (they are usually happier afterwards), building a giant robot in order to ask the Godqueen of England to dance, and making coffee. At this time in the comic, she recently rescued her town from being frozen in time and is working to kill a horror from another dimension.
Caesar Clown:
Pathetic ass man that gaslights everyone around him in order to use them as experimental guinea pigs as he makes chemical weapons of mass destruction after he blew up an island to escape being locked up. The only thing he has somewhat affection for is his pet that he made from poisonous gas and unleashed it against everyone on an island. Also, he has a weird ass laugh that goes like this “shirorororo”.
He worked with Dr. Vegapunk! When they broke up, he moved into one of Vegapunk's old labs and continued working on weapons of mass destruction to sell on the black market, and kidnapped children the government didn't care about to experiment on them.
He is a master chemist, part of which comes from being a gas-man. He works seemingly only on evil projects and is very selfish. Caesar Clown has no problem abducting and gaslighting children into being test subjects for his concoctions, not caring what happens to them. He is jealous of the greatest scientist in the world, his former boss, and has done a lot of harm in his attempts to become the greatest himself. He is part of an Evil Scientist alliance. He is the manufacturer of an artificial substance that is key in a mutation-making fruit sold on the black market and discarded as the only food available to some poor communities. Many characters in One Piece have real life inspirations, Caesar’s seem to include Julius Caesar, two pirates, Pierrot dolls, and a particular 1940s German experiment-driven man.
This guy took children from their families and altered their DNA to make an army of giants out of them. He made them addicted to a candy so they wouldn't escape from the lab. He created a giant axolotl made out compressed poisonous gas. He also made atificial Devil Fruits but a large amount of them were failures, making the ones who eat them never being able to stop smiling and laughing.

Q&A: A new initiative to help strengthen democracy
New Post has been published on https://thedigitalinsider.com/qa-a-new-initiative-to-help-strengthen-democracy/
Q&A: A new initiative to help strengthen democracy

In the United States and around the world, democracy is under threat. Anti-democratic attitudes have become more prevalent, partisan polarization is growing, misinformation is omnipresent, and politicians and citizens sometimes question the integrity of elections.
With this backdrop, the MIT Department of Political Science is launching an effort to establish a Strengthening Democracy Initiative. In this Q&A, department head David Singer, the Raphael Dorman-Helen Starbuck Professor of Political Science, discusses the goals and scope of the initiative.
Q: What is the purpose of the Strengthening Democracy Initiative?
A: Well-functioning democracies require accountable representatives, accurate and freely available information, equitable citizen voice and participation, free and fair elections, and an abiding respect for democratic institutions. It is unsettling for the political science community to see more and more evidence of democratic backsliding in Europe, Latin America, and even here in the U.S. While we cannot single-handedly stop the erosion of democratic norms and practices, we can focus our energies on understanding and explaining the root causes of the problem, and devising interventions to maintain the healthy functioning of democracies.
MIT political science has a history of generating important research on many facets of the democratic process, including voting behavior, election administration, information and misinformation, public opinion and political responsiveness, and lobbying. The goals of the Strengthening Democracy Initiative are to place these various research programs under one umbrella, to foster synergies among our various research projects and between political science and other disciplines, and to mark MIT as the country’s leading center for rigorous, evidence-based analysis of democratic resiliency.
Q: What is the initiative’s research focus?
A: The initiative is built upon three research pillars. One pillar is election science and administration. Democracy cannot function without well-run elections and, just as important, popular trust in those elections. Even within the U.S., let alone other countries, there is tremendous variation in the electoral process: whether and how people register to vote, whether they vote in person or by mail, how polling places are run, how votes are counted and validated, and how the results are communicated to citizens.
The MIT Election Data and Science Lab is already the country’s leading center for the collection and analysis of election-related data and dissemination of electoral best practices, and it is well positioned to increase the scale and scope of its activities.
The second pillar is public opinion, a rich area of study that includes experimental studies of public responses to misinformation and analyses of government responsiveness to mass attitudes. Our faculty employ survey and experimental methods to study a range of substantive areas, including taxation and health policy, state and local politics, and strategies for countering political rumors in the U.S. and abroad. Faculty research programs form the basis for this pillar, along with longstanding collaborations such as the Political Experiments Research Lab, an annual omnibus survey in which students and faculty can participate, and frequent conferences and seminars.
The third pillar is political participation, which includes the impact of the criminal justice system and other negative interactions with the state on voting, the creation of citizen assemblies, and the lobbying behavior of firms on Congressional legislation. Some of this research relies on machine learning and AI to cull and parse an enormous amount of data, giving researchers visibility into phenomena that were previously difficult to analyze. A related research area on political deliberation brings together computer science, AI, and the social sciences to analyze the dynamics of political discourse in online forums and the possible interventions that can attenuate political polarization and foster consensus.
The initiative’s flexible design will allow for new pillars to be added over time, including international and homeland security, strengthening democracies in different regions of the world, and tackling new challenges to democratic processes that we cannot see yet.
Q: Why is MIT well-suited to host this new initiative?
A: Many people view MIT as a STEM-focused, highly technical place. And indeed it is, but there is a tremendous amount of collaboration across and within schools at MIT — for example, between political science and the Schwarzman College of Computing and the Sloan School of Management, and between the social science fields and the schools of science and engineering. The Strengthening Democracy Initiative will benefit from these collaborations and create new bridges between political science and other fields. It’s also important to note that this is a nonpartisan research endeavor. The MIT political science department has a reputation for rigorous, data-driven approaches to the study of politics, and its position within the MIT ecosystem will help us to maintain a reputation as an “honest broker,” and to disseminate path-breaking, evidence-based research and interventions to help democracies become more resilient.
Q: Will the new initiative have an educational mission?
A: Of course! The department has a long history of bringing in scores of undergraduate researchers via MIT’s Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program. The initiative will be structured to provide these students with opportunities to study various facets of the democratic process, and for faculty to have a ready pool of talented students to assist with their projects. My hope is to provide students with the resources and opportunities to test their own theories by designing and implementing surveys in the U.S. and abroad, and use insights and tools from computer science, applied statistics, and other disciplines to study political phenomena. As the initiative grows, I expect more opportunities for students to collaborate with state and local officials on improvements to election administration, and to study new puzzles related to healthy democracies.
Postdoctoral researchers will also play a prominent role by advancing research across the initiative’s pillars, supervising undergraduate researchers, and handling some of the administrative aspects of the work.
Q: This sounds like a long-term endeavor. Do you expect this initiative to be permanent?
A: Yes. We already have the pieces in place to create a leading center for the study of healthy democracies (and how to make them healthier). But we need to build capacity, including resources for a pool of researchers to shift from one project to another, which will permit synergies between projects and foster new ones. A permanent initiative will also provide the infrastructure for faculty and students to respond swiftly to current events and new research findings — for example, by launching a nationwide survey experiment, or collecting new data on an aspect of the electoral process, or testing the impact of a new AI technology on political perceptions. As I like to tell our supporters, there are new challenges to healthy democracies that were not on our radar 10 years ago, and no doubt there will be others 10 years from now that we have not imagined. We need to be prepared to do the rigorous analysis on whatever challenges come our way. And MIT Political Science is the best place in the world to undertake this ambitious agenda in the long term.

Through a mix of theory and hands-on practice, you'll master the art of raising a simulated baby—aka the 'robot child.' Late-night feedings, tantrum taming, and crisis control are all part of the deal. What you didn’t expect to be part of the deal? Getting paired with Jay Park—the last person you’d trust to raise, well, anything. You’re pretty sure he couldn’t even take care of a pet rock. Now, you’re stuck co-parenting this robot baby together for 40% of your final grade. Warning: Sleep deprivation is guaranteed. And maybe, just maybe, some unexpected feelings for your disaster of a partner. Good luck!
longer drabble under cut! <3

"Y/N and Jay."
Wait. What?
Your head snaps up so fast it's a miracle it didn't pop off your neck and roll away.
You blink. You must have misheard.
"Y/N and Jay," Professor Kim repeats as if she could read your confused expression, voice too nonchalant for the life-wrecking news she's about to deliver: "You two are partners."
The words hit you like a bus. No, not even. The words hit you like a bus driven by a T-Rex that flips over, crashes into a building, and explodes into a million ashy pieces. And there you are—standing right in the middle of the wreckage, somehow still alive to suffer through every second of it—while Jay, smug as ever, whips around in his seat to face you.
And of course, there it is: that look of his that screams 'This is going to be so much fun for me, and so much pain for you.'
"Guess we're parents now, Y/N!" Jay chimes, his voice dripping with so much sarcastic enthusiasm you swear he just got handed an Oscar for Most Annoying Human. If that tone were a substance, you'd bottle it up and use it as insect repellent. On him. Repeatedly.
You blink at him, you're sure—you're praying—this has to be some elaborate prank. Maybe Jay bribed Professor Kim with his rare attempt at turning in an assignment on time just to mess with you. Or maybe the universe just hates you and this is your karma for stealing your roommate's last ramen packet that one time a year ago.
But no, Professor Kim keeps rattling off other pairs like it's business as usual, as if your entire academic career and sanity isn't currently being flushed down a metaphorical toilet, while you sit there, paralyzed, your brain rapidly melting into a useless puddle from the sheer thought of being paired with him.
"What's wrong, Y/N?" Jay teases as he leans over the back of his chair towards you. "You don't want to play house with me?"
You narrow your eyes at him, mentally wielding your imaginary bug spray like it's a holy weapon. "I don’t," you reply flatly. "In fact, I’d rather perform open-heart surgery on myself with a plastic spoon than co-parent with you."
Jay’s eyes light up as his hand goes to his heart. "Aw, you really know how to make a guy feel special. This is why I like our little relationship, you know?"
"Relationship?" You scoff loud enough to make the people sitting three rows behind you to glance in your direction. "The only thing we have in common is a shared oxygen supply."
"See, that’s the spirit," he says, turning back to face the front like he didn't just ruin your life. And somehow, that pisses you off even more. Is it his voice? His stupidly perfect hair? The fact that he breathes in your general direction? At this point, he could literally sneeze, and it would still feel like a personal attack.
Is it too late to switch majors? Or schools? Maybe even countries? Surely, restarting your entire college career as a super senior would be better than spending the next six weeks parenting with Jay. Jay Park, who has probably never held anything more fragile than a Red Solo Cup.
Jay Park, who is just sitting there, all calm and collected, clearly loving every second of your misery.
While you're frozen in pure, unadulterated horror.
Your grade? Plummeting as we speak. Your robot baby? Probably going to need therapy by day two. And you?
You're screwed.
.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。..・。.・゜✭・.・
decided to go for a longer sneak peek than usual bc im very excited about this one heh :) i also changed up my title image formatting..trying out smth new !!!

GENERAL RELATIONSHIP HEADCANONS FOR SENKU
Age Rating: N/A
Warnings: None
Genre: General, Fluff
○ Senku is the most practically-minded and goal-driven man currently alive; romance is neither practical, nor his goal. What I'm trying to say is it takes both a person as unique and as patient as Senku himself to put it into his mind. Any romantic feelings on Senku's end are extremely gradual, and develop over time spent together, learning to trust and rely on one another. By the time Senku realizes how he feels he's too far gone to fight it.
○ Much as Senku can't fight his own brain, he still hopes things will pass over time if he focuses on other things. It probably takes Senku's romantic interest to initiate, picking up on him drawing away and confronting him about it, before anything will truly progress anywhere. It takes Senku some time to ease into the idea of a romantic relationship though, so he'll need some time to process before giving them a proper answer. In the end, he's upfront that his own goals and love of science will always be his first priority, but if they can put up with that he can't deny that he finds them exhilarating.
○ Dating Senku, honestly, isn't all that different from being his friend. For the most part Senku treats his partner the same way after he starts dating them as he did before. Mushy, flowery words that don't mean anything are a waste of time in Senku's mind, and cute little dates are a waste of valuable production time. He's probably the least romantic boyfriend in recorded history. That being said, there are some differences in how he treats his partner once they start dating - they just tend to be more subtle. Senku takes to teasing his partner more often to see their cute flustered face, is a touch more protective socially, and puts up with much more from them then he would most others.
○ Additionally, once Senku has settled into a relationship, he actually relies on his partner more heavily. If he’s dating them he certainly admires them in some way or another, and holding back their talents because he’s worried unnecessarily would be illogical - it would also hold them back from growing, and having a relationship where he and his partner constantly inspire and push one another to be the best they can be is important to Senku. As such, Senku makes even fuller use of his partner’s abilities once they’re together as he’s able to get a much more intimate understanding of the strengths, weaknesses, and limitations. Of course, they always have his support ten-billion percent behind them in whatever task he’s appointed them to, or anything they take on for themselves. They’re partners in every sense of the word, and they work together with full trust behind them.
○ Senku's lack of use for dramatic prose shouldn't be confused for either a lack of communication nor a lack of praise. Quite the opposite, in fact, Senku is an extremely honest and forthright partner. Though his bluntness can absolutely be harsh and hard to hear, Senku's partner never has to worry what he thinks or where they stand. He'll just tell them. While this does mean he's expecting to be able to have the hard conversations at least productively, it also means his partner knows he's not just flattering them when he compliments them. Senku encourages the same kind of honesty and communication from his significant other, too. After all, how can they work together if they can't communicate?
○ As aforementioned, Senku's first and greatest love will always be science. Sharing this passion is one of the biggest ways Senku tries to show his partner he loves them. Though he's perfectly happy indulging in his version of quality time (read as: being in the same room as his partner while he experiments and researches and they do… whatever they want, really) he's elated whenever he has an opportunity to explain something he's working on and how it works. Though he hardly expects his partner to follow every equation and formula, he can't help but feel his heart flutter when they ask questions and try their best to follow - just a little bit.
○ Eventually Senku sharing his love of science as a way to show his partner he loves them evolves into gift giving; specifically, he’ll make gadgets for them of varying complexity. Of course, these creations are always extremely practical in nature (Jewelry? Why would he make them something useless like that? Flowers? What, do they want to try making medicine?? You get the idea.) but they’re romantic in Senku’s own way. Very often whatever gift he provides them with is a direct solution to some complaint they’d brought up at some point or another, even if he won’t tell them that directly.
○ Which brings us to the point of Senku having an impeccable memory when it comes to his partner. Of course, Senku has a sterling memory in general, but he’s extra sure to keep any information about his partner locked away for safekeeping, regardless as to how mundane it may seem at the time. Senku wants to understand how the person he’s learning to love ticks, how they think and why. It’s rather often than Senku will surprise his partner by bringing up something they’d mentioned what feels to them like ages ago - though he always downplays their obvious surprise that he cared enough to remember as if was an obvious thing to do (it is for him, but admitting it would be cringey.) Senku’s genuine interest in his partner makes him a fantastic listener.
○ It’s also that genuine interest that makes him scarily perceptive when it comes to his partner. He’s studied them, consciously and not, and he knows their tells. If something seems to be wrong Senku isn’t the type to let it go, either, and his complete lack of fear around blunt confrontation make it almost impossible for his partner to lie to, or hide anything from him. If there’s a problem the most obvious thing to do is to find a solution and fix it, so that’s his goal and he won’t let up until he’s able to start working on that solution. Unfortunately, this also makes it almost impossible for Senku’s partner to surprise him with anything ever - at least without a little help from friends.
○ It’s almost subconscious, but Senku involves his partner in every consequential project he can get them on board for. It isn’t that he’s clingy; far from it, actually. Senku is perfectly happy to spend time on his own and has absolutely no trouble entertaining himself for extended periods of time. Senku’s partner is more often than not the one seeking him out to spend more time together if anything. All that is to say that it’s less that he requires his partner’s company, and more that he becomes rather attached to being able to share accomplishments with them. The closer they become, the more the idea of finishing a sizable project without their smiling face cheering for the victory next to him makes him feel dissatisfied.
xxxxxxxxxx

updated nifty redesign!! 👽🧽
rewrite under cut ⬇️
-nifty, (real name sato nobuko) was an aspiring science fiction writer born in japan late 1940's
-unfortunatly, she never got to live out her dream as she was married off into a mafia family at 15
-this may have been the mafia family angel dust belonged to ☺️
-neither of them know this☺️☺️
-from then on she was whitewashed and essentially brainwashed into the perfect housewife
-if she disobeyed she got hit, so she did what she was told
- she was eventually driven to the point of killing her husband in his sleep
-this got her sent into a mental asylum where she got diagnosed with hysteria and lobotomised
-she died soon after. despite the murder reasonably being in self defence, murder is still classified as a Damning Sin in heaven's eyes and she got sent down to hell
-she is obsessed with neatness and incredibly hardworking. she will often work herself to the point of exhaustion, in which case alastor will step in and communicate her worries for her
- she never complains, doing so makes her feel useless
-her obsessive tidying has led to finding loads of Banned Objects in guest's rooms
-she is the hotel's maid, chef, waitress, gardener, pest control, room attendant and accountant. they are severely understaffed
-alastor is her best and only friend. he is the only one that listens to her odd ramblings (speaking of odd ramblings, the stuff she says would be less "i like to kill bugs murder death X3" and more,, just odd facts and weird sayings and fucked up things that happened in her life but like,, sugarcoated. like shes trying to convince herself that they were good-kinda like kitty from ghosts abt her sister). she spies for him, it is pretty easy for her to go unnoticed due to her small stature. nothing goes unheard that alastor doesnt hear about
-her and alastor sometimes just go for walks together, with her perched on his arm like a falcon. i imagine a side plot of an episode being them taking one of their walks when they come across a sinner trying to move out of the pride ring, they try to help him hijinks ensue ect ect
-she isnt in it for the money, which is good bc shes not paid much
-she is also not in any sort of contract with alastor, she just follows him around
-a large part of her storyline would be letting her reconnect both with her artistic passions and her japanese roots
-she makes quite good friends with pao (cherri bomb) who sort of takes her under her wing

the miramar news — meet the cast

EXTRA! EXTRA! In times where traditional news are struggling to keep readers engaged and interested, The Miramar News was privileged enough to have a brilliant team writing and publishing some of the most read news on the East Coast. Too bad that the life inside the glass walls of the Editorial Department was nothing less than chaotic and full of the most challenging minds. Meet them now!
hi guys! this is my new project. i've been writing it offline, creating a backlog big enough to start posting soon, and i've made some cute instagram profiles for them! shout out to @se7entyrell for helping and encoraging me! let me know what you guys think! (omg no x reader tags? what's effie up to? 🤭)
Y/N Trace — Assistant Editor
A bachelor’s degree in English from University of California — Berkeley, stand out jobs and coverage on the West Coast, moving all the way to Boston to get a Masters in Emerging Media Studies, landing right at the entrance of The Miramar Times as Assistant Editor in her mid twenties. And that’s just the middle of her journey to the highest step in a newspaper. Reunited with her half-sister Natasha Trace, her new position promises to be anything but calm.
Natasha Trace — Photographer
Every frame was a story under the NYU trained eyes of Natasha Trace. After graduating and acting as documentary photojournalist around the globe, she lured her younger sister to work as Assistant Editor for the Miramar Times. She is responsible for a few art exhibitions on the side, highlighting experiences that don’t always show up on the news.
Robert Floyd — Senior Copy Editor
He is quiet, but very precise with his words and punctuation marks. Bachelor’s in English — with credits in both Literature and Linguistics — and with a Masters in Creative Writing, Bob Floyd was appreciated by his journalist peers. Well, unless some of them weren’t a fan of making information clear — which was his personal nightmare.
Mickey Garcia — Sports Journalist
He is a Miami raised kid, and a sports enthusiast all year long. NFL, NBA, MBL, NHL, MLS, Formula 1, Nascar — you name it, he was in loco or in front of the screen and statistics to report back to the Miramar News readers. When needed, helps his long friend, Reuben, with a few investigations here and there — you know, he doesn’t get to break some sports news just sitting on his chair and waiting for the press releases to arrive.
Javy Machado — Economics Journalist
Inspired by too many rewatches of The Wolf of Wall Street and reads of The Great Gatsby, Javy decided to bring his passion for economy to the journal. Besides reporting all the market crashes and commercial crisis — because the end of the times would always grab some extra clicks —, he works closely with Jake Seresin to create the economics podcast for the Miramar News.
Jake Seresin — Social Media Manager
Good thing Jake was the master of all things Social Media. With a degree in Communications, and stellar and viral moments over the years, he picked a more stable and not very draining spot as Social Media Manager — and part time podcast producer — at the Miramar News rather than a full time producer position in one of those creative content driven companies.
Reuben Fitch — Investigative Journalism Journalist
The wildcard inside the Miramar News journalist roaster, Reuben wasn’t afraid to spend hours digging and researching to discuss crimes, corruption, or any public matter that had his adrenaline spiking and pen moving. Nominated for a Pulitzer Prize with his article piece on the systemic racism inside the U.S Navy got him some traction and opportunities to cover anything his heart desires.
Bradley Bradshaw — Politics Journalist
UVA Political Sciences bachelor, with a Masters in International Politics. Some might say he landed his job just because his godfather, Pete Mitchell, called in some favors, but his record track is consistent with a groundbreaking Politics journalist. His biggest flaw is he is a pain in the arse — just because you deal with politicians doesn’t mean you get to act like one.

MEET MORE CHARACTERS:
Bernie “Hondo” Coleman — Managing Editor
Usually editors are not appreciated by their teams, but Hondo — a longtime friend and collaborator of Maverick — found the balance to keep the engines moving while also cultivating a creative and respectful space.
Pete “Maverick” Mitchell — Editor-In-Chief
One of the most promising, and yet controversial, journalists of the 1980 and 1990s, Pete earned his nickname Maverick from his time as an intern back in New York. From the Big Apple to the Hollywood Hills, to the US borders and across the ocean many times, he finally settled in an office, with an overview of Boston. The Miramar News wasn’t his first choice, but once Hondo gave him the pitch, he was in.
Beau Simpson — Publisher
Responsible for overseeing all the stages of the paper, Simpson is always in his office, away from the chaotic energy of the news floor. He is not a fan of Mitchell’s work as Editor-In-Chief, but as long as the articles and pieces keep being published, he won’t try to kick the editor from the twentieth floor.
Penny Benjamin — The Pub Owner
Penny was never made for the headlines or the lines in the paper. She loved the stories, though. So that’s why, after trying different jobs and locations during her younger years, she ended up as the owner of The Hard Deck, a pub in Beacon Hill, for almost 10 years now. Her audience varies, but there is always a group of journalists by the billiard tables or the bar. And a certain Editor-In-Chief helping with the beers from time to time.
Tom Kazansky — Culture Columnist and Illustrator
Some could say he is a retired columnist, but when some would despise taking a step back from the desk to focus on other matters, Tom found out the Culture and the Arts were more important than the headlines. While he almost never leaves his house in the suburbs of Boston, he makes sure to send his texts and illustrations just in time.
