So just a quick question but what do you think your update schedule is going to look like now that the current arc is over? I'm just wondering considering you've have gone from updating slowly, to quickly, back to slow, and then quick again.

Or do you really not have an update schedule? It's not really that big of a deal tbh, it's up to you as you are the author and no one wants to rush good work. I was just curious is all.

Hello, thank you for asking this.

My schedule is odd due to work and life. I work at a college both as a teacher and as a tutor/staff person in the computer science department. We were just going though midterms, so everything got backed up and thrown about. I also got approved for my two panels(black butler and twisted) and due to the convention schedule I needed to clean that up and focus on the power points.

I should be picking up speed now.

If you noticed a slow down happening during the school year, assume that my work as a teacher is taking priority. This doesn't mean I'm not working on it. In fact I'm in the midst of Lizzie second chapter and breaking down our hell of a butlers chapers(?).

Going to be a few more chapters. Then book 3 will be done.

Hopefully this helps. I'm not done yet. 😊

Hi,thank you for the ask! The top two, Leo Roly and Kriss Mattison my main characters for a novel I'm working on, currently untitled. It's about Leo, a 9 year old boy wittesing his mother, Rachel's death and being taken in by his father,Kriss. The headghog is Kriss's pet headghog Peper. The original plan was to make Tommy, but because of my illness, I can't go to the haberdashery, and unfortunately, the yarn I have is too dark.

But luckily, Alfie is such a caramel color, so I think it will fit.

So far, I've only got the arms, but it's getting closer because according to my pattern, the body is in one piece.

My last post in hero/villain got such a good response, so we're doing another one. This snippet came to mind, and I just had to write it.

(Not like I'm working on a multi-part thing, that's not important at all, nooooooo)

"I think you'll like it here." Villain said, stopping the car. "It's got everything."

From the passenger seat of the sedan, Hero glowered at their enemy.

"You can't stay silent forever." Villain continued, climbing out of the car. "You'll have to talk eventually."

They closed the door, and Hero just happened to notice a little detail that had slipped their nemesis by. For a second, they considered letting it lie. But Hero was desperate, and anything to stall for time so their team could find them was welcome.

So, as Villain reached the passenger door, Hero reached their bound hands over and locked it.

Villain tried to open it, and when the attempt failed they grinned, and felt in their pockets for their keys. Hero felt their heart sink. So much for stalling for time.

But as they watched, Villains smile faded and the patting became more frantic. They tried and failed again to open the door.

"Open the door!" Villain yelled. Hero barely manages to keep a straight face as they shake their head.

"Damn it!" Villain cursed.

That was how the hero team found them not 20 minutes later, struggling to get a car door open while their missing member cackled from inside the vehicle.

Uh...one of my OC's is NONVERBAL. So yeah I'm gonna italicize that Force Sensitive conversation they have with the people around them!

AND, it's gonna be blue because that is the color vibration of the Force they speak in.

Also, I like to emphasize my characters speech pattern with CAPITAL LETTERS. And I love to use slang and pigeon language when characters are speaking to show their personalities. So pry that out of my cold dead hands.

I do this because I'm a visual writer, writing for my visual readers.

And we now have a medium and the means to do all sorts of fun, different things with words. If you need an "analog" example read "House of Leaves" by Mark Danielewski.

Discovering things about dutch through the theraphy blog today. I have only heard roetmop used in it's original context (pile of soot) so I'm seriously hoping that the translator was going for that.

In the English books Will is considering calling her 'Blackie', and for those worried, as far as the Dutch translations go, I think they ditched it in the later translations. In my copy (2018) Will simply says 'I haven't tought of it yet, I call her girl most of the time.'

So the mistake was realised and fixed!

Can you tell me about Leo and his pet(?) porcupine?

Hi! She's actually a hedgehog, her name is Peper. She was originally bought by his father Kriss before Leo came into his life at the beginning of the story. When Kriss introduces him to Peper Leo is immediately in love and spends most of his time quietly observing her doing her thing and is always thrilled to help his dad feed her or clean her cage. Leo once ate one of her *live* mealworms during her feeding time in efforts to understand why she likes them so much, he didn't like it lol. Once his bedroom gets set up at his dad's house and he finds out that Peper in fact cannot move into his room because headhogs are nocturnal and Kriss was nervous about Leo sitting up all night to watch her, has a spectacular meltdown until they come up with a compromise and Kriss gets him a headghog stuffie he can keep in his room. This becomes one of 3 stuffed animals Leo refuses to leave the house without. Kriss definitely has the vibe of somebody who wouldn't even be trusted to keep a house plant alive but Peper is properly taken care of, sufficiently spoiled and deeply loved by both Kriss and Leo. She's like a tiny emotional support animal for Leo.
