I just imagined a Lower Decks episode called Ret-Khan where they traveled back in time to the 1990s and met Khan Noonien Singh while he was on Earth, and it turns out he wasn't really a genetically engineered supersoldier, just a Spanish actor pretending to be an Indian Sikh (like Iron Eyes Cody, an Italian man who pretended to be a Native American). All that stuff about the Eugenics Wars was just the plot of a failed pilot he wrote, and when he stumbles across the crew's future technology he's inspired to become a terrorist world leader for real. His followers are all down and out method actors, and the Lower Decks crew stops them from conquering the Earth by cryogenically freezing them and sending them into deep space to be thawed out by the Enterprise hundreds of years later (in Space Seed and Wrath of Khan they explicitly say 200 years, which would set TOS in the 2100s, but later continuity established TOS as set in the 2200s, so they'd probably make a joke about the inconsistency). Throw in an Into Darkness joke while we're at it, like the Spanish actor was up for a big role, "but they gave it to some wide-eyed British albino, I forget the name, Handlebar Pump-and-dump, something like that."
