Lesbians are more minoritised than bisexuals in general but bi+ folk are statistically more unsafe to come out, more likely to experience intimate partner violence, and more likely to have poorer mental health than their monosexual (straight, gay, and lesbian) peers. Lesbians do not systematically oppress bisexuals; bisexual women can exhibit lesbophobia, but lesbians can’t can tangibly harm bisexuals by exibiting criticism prejudice and it doesn’t absolutely can count as biphobia according to research. Bisexuals don’t need lesbians to validate and affirm their sexuality especially when they’re dating men, to create inclusive safe spaces. Lesbians prefer to have their own WLW communities because of their shared experiences and culture (including butchfemme); bisexuals should create their own historically and contemporarily share that too and deserve to lay claim to it in additional combined sapphic spaces. Therefore, lesbians don’t also need the inclusion of bisexuals who aren’t actively in WLW relationships to promote overall WLW shared experiences, visibility, solidarity, and movement—as well as the growth of the community itself.

Ultimately, lesbians don’t have the capacity or obligation to support bisexuals and this is by design of late-stage capitalistism and reactionary algorithmic internet that seeks to prevent collective queer liberation by dividing us; it is essential for us to resist with radical empathy and intentional unity.

One thing that I absolutely love about TFOne's writing is that it manages to avoid a lot of the heavier criticism I've seen regarding MegOp's hero/villain dynamic over the years (trust me, the mid-2010s TF discourse was crazy)

*Spoilers Below*

First of all, the narrative benefits so much from the main 4 cast members all being a part of the same exploited mining class. So many takes on MegOp have Orion being of a higher status (an archivist, a cop, etc) while Megatron is much lower down on the social latter (a miner, a gladiator, often in the context of being a slave).

I've seen many people be put off by this, because it feels as if Megs is being villianized for being rightfully angry at the system that deeply harmed and exploited him, while Orion/Optimus is praised for taking a more pacifistic stance despite him not suffering as much from or in some ways even benefiting from the system he claims to oppose. I don't find their dynamic to be as simple as that, and I do find these takes to be a bit reductive, but I do very much see where they are coming from.

I am definitely one of those people who's very frustrated with the way pacifism is hailed as the one true path of morality, and the inherent implication that taking any sort of revenge on the people who abused/exploited you makes you just as bad as them. Also, Marvel's particular brand of demonizing any form of radical political action, despite the system clearly being broken and corrupt, but being completely unwilling to offer any other alternatives to meaningfully change things for the better.

When looking at what I described above its pretty easy to see how a lot of versions of MegOp's hero/villain dynamic unfortunately fits into that trope. Bringing it back to TFOne, you can see how Op and Meg coming from the same political/social status subverts this. The existence of Elita and Bee only further illustrates that out of the 4 people of the mining class who were all deceived, exploited, and literally mutilated in the same way it is only D-16 that completely loses himself to his rage, even to the point where he loses compassion for his own companions and disregarding the safety of the other miners (when he decides to "tears everything down" and Elita exclaims he's going to "kill everyone").

What I think I love most about the characterization in TFOne is that Orion is the radical one. Not only that, but he is praised by Elita and by extension the narrative for it. He is constantly challenging authority, and is the first to have the suspicion that their society is structured in an unjust way.

Meanwhile D-16, to be frank, is kind of a bootlicker. He fully believed in the system and that Sentinal Prime, as someone with power, had the right to decided "what was best" for those who are weaker/lesser (I wish I had the specific quote from D-16 to support this, but the movie's still in theaters). It illustrate that D-16 already held certain fascistic ideals, and that he and Orion already have fundamentally opposing moral/political values, it simply hasn't been of any consequence yet. It shows that their eventual falling out was inevitable, even if they had decided to rebuild Cybertron together.

It should also be noted that D-16's feelings of anger and betrayal do not necessarily have anything to do with the unjust system itself, but that said unjust system was predicated on a lie. Hence his fixation on deception in the post-credits scene and him naming his faction the Decepticons. Meanwhile, when Orion learns the truth he's just sort of like "yeah, I always kinda knew something was up" because again, he understood on some level that their system was predicated on injustice.

Even D-16's obsession with Megatronus Prime, while initially an endearing aspect of his character, is also an indicator of the questionably large amount of value he puts on one's strength. It foreshadows the "might makes right" ideology that the decepticons follow, and is a key part of their ideological characterization across continuities.

Instead of the narrative we often see in Transformers media were Optimus is idolized by the narrative for being more moderate and Megatron is villiainized for being radical (or so people often claim), it is instead Optimus who is rewarded and praised by the narrative for being radical, and Megatron who is villainized and punished by the narrative for holding potentially fascistic values.

I do agree with some criticism I've seen that the whole thing with killing Sentinel and D-16's final turn into villainy felt a bit rushed and more than a little cliche, but I also understand it both had a limited runtime and that it is ultimately a family film meant to be accessible to children. More importantly though, I think the movie set the groundwork early on that, no matter how this final act played out, D-16 was always going to turn to darkness, and Orion would not have been able to stop him.

Its perfectly tragic, the way all MegOp should be, while also feeling really well thought out from a thematic standpoint. I love it.

Magical Oil Recipes - Baneful Blends Edition

For anyone looking to brew up a potion with a less-than-friendly bent, here are some recipes I've created that you might find useful.

To prepare them, blend the ingredients in such proportions as feels correct for your purposes (or as supplies allow). Use dried material except where indicated. Place a few spoonfuls in a mason jar with a screwtop lid and fill the jar with a bland oil of your choice. (Vegetable oil of the sort you would buy for cooking works fine.) Screw the lid on tightly and shake well to combine, then leave the jar in a dark dry place for 2-4 weeks to steep.

Once steeped, prepare a clean storage bottle (also with a secure lid) and label with the type of oil and the bottling date. Strain the oil through paper towels or cheesecloth to remove the plant material, then bottle immediately. Store away from sunlight and heat for up to one year. Use for spellwork as you see fit.

adjust your pressure curve to a level where you are not pressing against your tablet to achieve your most reasonably-often-used "medium-heavy" line

it's worth remembering that dagoth ur is not a reliable witness for the events of his own death, because while he speaks to what was emotionally true to voryn dagoth, as voryn would have recounted it to someone he trusted completely, he is no longer the person who remembers the events.

if you have to consistently press a smooth object against a slick surface to achieve your second most common lineweight, then you're causing unnecessary stress to both your tablet and your tendons

the most explicit statements which point towards nerevar being dagoth's killer rely on a mix of testimony that is complicated by outside interests or is otherwise degraded by unreliable format. morrowind was a politically volatile battleground at the time, and as time marches on, interests become only more entrenched. even vivec's own most sincere confessions must be viewed through the lens of someone who is subject to the retributions of AlmSi.

in a similar vein, if you find yourself struggling to maintain a consistent pen pressure, create a plateau of sensitivity around the area you're struggling with

the hurdle of probability to cross in believing that nerevar killed dagoth is that vivec can't quite bring himself to say it in his most direct confessional, while alandro, who would absolutely have attested to nerevar slaying dagoth for his heretical madness if it happened, places it after foul murder. perhaps the most believable course of events is the one indicated by vivec's omission of dagoth's death, and alandro's non-mention of a zeal killing in azura's name.

if you find yourself failing to achieve the line confidence you want even with stroke correction, then it may be time to zoom out on the canvas, as it's much harder to draw a straight (or even confidently curved) line across a great deal of space than a small span of it

voryn dagoth believes nerevar to be a traitor because he feels he never betrayed nerevar. it's as simple of a matter as that. if he was loyal until his last breath, then the one who left him to die must be the one who killed him. with that in mind, it makes a lot of sense that dagoth ur would fully believe nerevar to be a traitor who murdered him. left skittish and delirious as nerevar told him to stay behind, departed the mountain, and "sent back" only a murderous tribunal to do away with him.

this is a bit deceptive if you're used to drawing traditionally, as your view of the page doesn't affect "size" of it in relation to your drawing surface

dagoth ur beholds a secondhand retelling of his own life, reborn in his own body and given to the conclusions of his memory, but he cannot change his mind, and he cannot view the events of his own life as they occurred.

and of course, don't forget that having your correction set too high can lead to you fighting against it. you ideally want to set it somewhere comfortable for you, which facilitates the pen movements you want to achieve but are not able to

he has only his own word to go off of.

You should be used to these tourists and their consistent whines but it never seems to get less pathetic. You suppose you shouldn't blame them considering the position they've gotten themselves into, although a bigger part of you just couldn't muster up sympathy for people who are dumb enough to find themselves in the middle of a monster infested lake with a complete stranger at the oar.

That thought breaks you form your daydream and you take a moment to stare at the deceptively clam waters below. You stop your slow rows, bring the gondola to a steady halt and turn to your patron.

"This is your stop."

You fasten the large oar to the hull and step towards the man so that you can look down at him properly.

He looks around at the open water, the mist is so thick he can barely see a few feet Infront of his face much less any semblance of land. He looks back up at you and hesitates before speaking,

"I...payed for the full trip."

You shake your head solomly,

"I only said I could get you on the lake...which I did."

You gesture around to the lake that you both are very much on.

"If you want to get to the other side, that's a seperate trip."

You hold your hand out, clearly indicating what you want. The man's eyebrows scrunch, his eyes go from wide with fear to a heated glare and his hands grip the travel bag he's been cradling.

"You can't do that! We agreed!"

He yells and you quickly cover his mouth with your hand as ripples break in the water all around the gondola. As if he just remembered where he is, the man freezes and lets out a little whimper when he hears tiny splashes in the water right next to him. The small boat rocks side to side as the water vibrates, sounding out the life that dwells beneath it.

The water settles after a few moments of silence and you stand again and look down at the quivering man.

"What choice do you have?"

The tourist heaves out a defeated breathe and digs in his bag to retrieve a sack of coins for the rest of the trip. He hands it to you with an icy glare.

"Is that enough for you?"

He hisses, a little quiver remains in his voice.

You give him a look and continue to count your coins. If you're being honest, you expected more from him. The disappointment must show on your face because he looks just about ready to swing at you before you let out a loud whistle.

Just then several claws burst out of the water and grab him. He shrieks as wet scaly hands cling to his shirt. One by one three heads pop out of the water to leer at his now pale face, drained of any colour once his wide eyes meet the inky black orbs of the creatures holding him down. They bare their sharp teeth as talons sink into his skin making him unable to struggle lest they dig further.

His panicked eyes can only follow you as you start plucking valuables from his pockets and rummaging through his belongings.

From the corner of his eye he can see more of these creatures circling the gondola. Waiting.

You sit down with a huff, slightly rocking the boat as you count and inspect your new plunder.

After a few moments you hear low growls that simmer into whines, you peer up at the multiple black eyes staring at you, waiting for the go ahead. The man's blood is already seeping into their claws and they're practically drooling.

You take pity on the poor creatures and with no more than a final glance at the man you let out another whistle and he's instantly pulled from the boat into the water without time to scream. You huff as the water splashes you, as eager as they are it was a pretty good deal you struck with the creatures, you get the valuables and they get dinner.

As you watch the merfolk fight over their thrashing meal you feel a tug on your sleeve. One of the creatures looks up at you from the surface with intrigue. You give them a questioning look and in response they bring themselves higher over the hull to rather boldly nuzzle at your neck.

You huff in amusement and waste no time grabbing their jaw and kissing their cold but soft lips, caressing their wet cheek with your warm hand. They croon at the warm touch and lick into your mouth.

Another one surfaces the water to place kisses on your neck with a few cheeky nibbles as they cling to your clothes to try and bring your body closer.

You fully indulge in the benefits of your agreement with these creatures as the water around you turns crimson.

🎲 Having multiple squares to Neptune with someone in a synastry chart—be VERY careful. These people may not have your best interest at heart. Or your perception of them could be skewed in some way. Nonetheless, there could be hidden things that could hurt you or the relationship.

🎲 North/ South Node square Sun natives are constantly torn between who they are and who they think they should be, leading to a lifetime of identity struggles. In low-vibrational energy, they deceive by creating a false persona—shapeshifting to fit in or exaggerating their achievements to feel worthy. Can end up living a lie just to avoid facing reality. 🎲 Mars square Jupiter in a man’s chart—he rarely spends money on anything that doesn’t serve his interests. The type of man who buys drinks only for the girl he wants to get with at the club, only talks to her, and acts as if her friend is invisible. This aspect is also common in guys who think women only want them for their money.

🎲 For North/ South Node square Neptune natives, reality is slippery, and they struggle to find clarity in their life path. When low-vibe, they deceive through delusions, gaslighting, and playing the martyr. May lie compulsively (even to themselves), rewrite history to fit their narrative, or pretend to be more lost/ helpless than they really are to gain sympathy.

🎲 8th and 12th House synastry can be tricky in non-romantic relationships. Mars in 12th House - Mars could be secretly plotting your downfall; Pluto/ Jupiter in 8th could benefit from the 8th House person's losses. 🎲 Everyone talks about how Capricorns are obsessed with climbing the success ladder, but Sagittarius (Suns/ Stelliums) are by far the most cutthroat when it comes to business. They often work in silence & in the shadows until they've built an empire. If they're good people with a strong moral compass, this is a great placement. However, I've seen a dark side of this in public figures. These people know how to sway public opinion. They're good at covering their tracks. E.g. Jay-Z, Nicki Minaj (both Sag. stelliums). Taylor Swift releasing new versions of her albums coinciding with other popular female artists' release days (Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, and Billie Eilish, to name a few). Min Hee-jin, ex-CEO of ADOR, falls under the most unhinged spectrum of Sagittarius: a creep & a bully.

• These people often exhibit a 'shoot first, ask later' mentality, especially in conflict or business. Nicki Minaj’s social media meltdowns are a glaring example of this. The Taylor-Scooter situation is a prime example. It was purely business, and Taylor’s own father had significant control over her label. He could’ve stopped the deal, but instead, she took the opportunity to paint herself as a victim and turned it into one of her most commercially successful eras. I'd bought her narrative too and only looked into it after Candace Owens talked about it in one of her Lively vs. Baldoni episodes.

🎲 Nessus (7066) square Jupiter has a complicated, sometimes toxic outlook on abundance. They might pride themselves too much on living a simplistic/ minimal life. They might feel guilty for desiring luxury. Contacts with Saturn may indicate that it was internalized since childhood, likely because of the father. Positive aspects, particularly trine, would be helpful in healing and creating a more balanced approach to material things.

🎲 Destinn (6583) square Saturn is so draining. You have this idea that you're destined for big things, but it seemingly takes a very long time to manifest. It's a tiring journey of setbacks, blockages, and important lessons. Hang in there!
