On Saturday we did a LOT of driving (8 hours in total), and one of the things we listened to in the car was the Footloose Broadway musical soundtrack. The kids wanted to know what it was about, so I gave them a brief rundown of the plot, starting with the fact that it's about a teenage boy who moves from a big city to a small town and immediately gets branded as a troublemaker... Well... I made it all the way until "Somebody's Eyes Are Watching" before I couldn't contain myself anymore and turned to Husband and said, "You know what this makes me think of? ...Jess in Stars Hollow." And sometimes I'm a little embarrassed about this "Six Degrees from Jess Mariano" game that my brain keeps playing, but my Husband's response was: "You know, I was thinking the exact same thing."

It made me so happy. 😂

Have y'all ever played 'Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon'? Well, if not, here's how it goes. You pick a seemingly random actor, and you have to somehow tie them to Kevin Bacon. Not as easy as it sounds, but it really does all lead back to him.

So, let's play a round.

Cobie Smulders, my sweet, sweet angel. I love her to death, but let's tie her to Kevin Bacon: Cobie Smulders plays a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent in The Avengers - The Avengers go on to have Avengers: Infinity War, featuring the crew of Guardians of the Galaxy. Anyways, that was fun. Cobie Smulders will forever have a special place in my heart as she is one of the leads in my all time favorite television show How I Met Your Mother. She plays Robin, which is the main love interest for two of the other character leads.

The show wouldn't be the same without Cobie Smulders absolutely nailing that role, and for that, I appreciate her.

In today's installment of weird shit that pleases my brain - all of the main cast members of The Umbrella Academy have a Bacon number of 2, except Aidan Gallagher, who has 3, and Elliot Page,who has 1. I went with all the first connections that it generated for each cast member and none of them crossed over - even when Justin H Min was connected to Kevin Bacon via Super, a film Elliot Page was in, it chose to connect him via Steve Agee.
