Now I'm wondering what WOULD happen if AU Delta were as powerful as canon Delta.

I imagine Apollo would be even more annoying after he graduated from medical school lol.

I really love that Delta lets Paris have a phone and keep in touch with his friend, and shows some genuine care for Paris and what's important to him.

The idea of Delta and Lorelai being internet/social media friends is really neat. What would their interactions be like? Also, was Lorelai allowed to have a phone, or did she swipe it from somewhere and has to hide it, like canon Delta with his laptop?

On that note, if Delta were to get news relevant to Lorelai, would he tell Paris? And without Paris asking him?

Yes!!! Sports! Maybe baseball, American football, or flag football for Paris. (I'd say wrestling or boxing, but I'd be worried for his opponent 😬.) What sport would suit Lorelai?

"Those are my lungs." Is Delta referring to the fact that he owns Paris (and therefore his lungs), or second-hand smoke? Just wanted to be sure I'm interpreting that line correctly.

1.) AS!delta would probably end up being forced to mask his powers by his parents. i said psychic!paris would go on to be a dictator but that's EMPIRE. Aegea is just one seaside kingdom in a larger galactic federation and they're not a warlike people. they'd definitely gain a powerful weapon through delta's powers but all the attention it would draw to him would definitely mark him for assassination or capture. so he's forced to hide it. he probably wears psychic dampeners like delta does in rubies. they would blend in with all his other jewelry so it just looks natural on him. no one ever finds out, hopefully.

delta really hates this. when he's younger he acts out a lot to try and show off. but as he matures a little bit, he comes to understand why his parents made him hide it. i mean. you saw how well it worked out for canon delta.

2.) haha i think he gets humbled by the licensing exam! he's just really dealing with the dunning-kruger effect at this point. levon critcizes him for being a know-it-all and delta says he's kinda bossy. he's a little less annoying after he graduates :)

3.) omg i didnt think about it but now that you mention it, lorelai probably IS sneaking her phone. you're really not allowed to have a personal phone if youre in combat right??? so yeah i think shes hiding it. however i think the consequences of her being found out are pretty minimal and if she did get it confiscated she'd just like. get a new one. lmfao.

delta watches lorelai's instagram stories (15 second videos of her doing parkour in the woods) in complete silence at 3am. replies with fire emojis. she hypes him up whenever he posts pics of himself :) its mostly small talk but they get along p well and i think they have good bants. nothing beyond that really. neither of them are online that often.

4.) yeah! i think paris's little panicked reaction when delta asks if she's okay means that delta is in fact keeping tabs on her situation. he'd tell paris if he found out something about lorelai specifically. however, if it was just general bad news about how the plantary situation might develop, he'd probably keep that to himself. no reason to make paris stress out about it for no reason. it's not like he can do anything :/

5.) im biased but i think paris would be good w baseball and basketball. i actually just want to draw him in a basketball shirt ive been meaning to draw streetwear destroyer for a grip. oh also paris canonically fences. yknow how it is w princes.

mage viktor discourse again on twitter and all i can say in my little corner over here once again is, I don't know why the entire fandom takes it as canon that mage Viktor failed to save every world he manipulated.

Canon does not provide evidence of this. This is fanon speculation. It's a fine headcanon to have, but everyone talks about it like it's canon when it isn't. Canon is ambiguous about the outcome of the timelines mage Viktor altered. The little nods we are given point, in my opinion, towards the opposite conclusion, that he successfully averted destruction.

I've written meta on this before but in summary:

1) 'In all timelines, in all possibilities' is worded precisely, it's not 'out of all timelines'; the implication is that every time, Jayce brings Viktor back from the brink, not just in our timeline. 'Only you' doesn't refer to our timeline's Jayce, it refers to all Jayces. Jayce always brings him home. If Viktor continuously put the fate of each timeline in Jayce's hands and Jayce failed over and over, I don't think he'd say those words. And the way he says them matters. His words are tinged with wonder, not sorrow. As if over and over again, he is shown that Jayce saves him, and it continues to amaze him. He doesn't sound defeated, like this is the next in a long line of Jayces he's sending off to die. The feeling is that Viktor's faith in Jayce has not been misplaced.

2) If mage Viktor doomed every timeline, there would be hundreds (or more) mage Viktors. All running around manipulating timelines. I highly doubt the writers wanted to get into that kind of sticky situation. The tragedy of mage Viktor is that he is singular. Alone. Burdened with the responsibility of the multiverse. The emotional gut punch of his fate is ruined if other timelines led to the same outcome, and from a practical standpoint, having multiple reality-bending omniscient mages would rip apart the fabric of the arcane.

There are other points, such as there being only one corrupted Mercury Hammer and our Jayce is the only one to receive it, and the fact that if mage Viktor is as omniscient as he is implied to be, he could easily step back into other timelines and correct course, because it's highly unlikely he could sit still and watch things go down in flames. But these things can be argued elsewhere.

While I love conversations about mage Viktor's motives and selfishness vs altruism, the writers & artbook have expressed that Jayce and Viktor care greatly about Runeterra and want to fix their mistakes to save it, and that their reconciliation is symbolic of Piltover and Zaun coming together as well. Yes, they make disastrous decisions towards each other, making choices for the other or without the other, which has negative consequences for their relationship and for Runeterra - but I think fandom pushes their selfishness even past what's canon sometimes, as if their entire goal hadn't always been to selflessly help the world around them. Their final reconciliation is about bridging the gap that grew between them - the pain and grief and secrets, betraying themselves and each other - to mutually choose each other openly and honestly. Part of the beauty of their story, as expressed by the creators, is that in their final moments, they chose each other and took responsibility for their actions by sacrificing themselves to end what they started, together - and that choosing each other saved the world. TPTB have stated this - that Jayce and Viktor are the glue holding civilization together, and when they come back to each other, they can restore balance. It's when they're apart, when they hurt each other and miscommunicate, when they abandon their commitment to each other and their dream, that the greater world suffers. Their strife is mirrored in the story-world at large.

Mage Viktor is framed as a solitary penitent figure, damned to an eternity of atoning for his mistakes. He paid the ultimate price and now is forced to live his personal nightmare of exactly what he was trying to avoid for himself with the glorious evolution. The narrative clues we're given point more in the direction that he saves timelines rather than dooms them. If Viktor's actions kept killing Jayce, the very boy he couldn't bear to not save each time, it would undermine these narrative choices. Yes, Viktor couldn't stand to live in a world where he never meets Jayce, so he ensures it keeps happening. But in that same breath, he couldn't bear to see a world where his actions continue to destroy Jayce and destroy Runeterra. His entire arc in s2 is born of his selfless desire to help humanity, help individual people. He would not lightly destroy entire worlds. That's his original grief multiplied a thousandfold, and narratively it would lessen the impact of the one, true loss he did suffer, his own Jayce. It wouldn't make sense for him to be alright with damning other timelines to suffer the same catastrophic tragedy that created him. I mean, maybe I'm delusional here, but is that not the entire point? Because that's what I took away when I watched the show.

As I said, I love discussions about mage Viktor, as there's a lot to play with. All I wish is that the fandom at large would not just assume or accept the Mage Viktor Dooms Every Timeline idea as canon, when there is nothing in the actual canon that confirms this. Maybe people need to just, go back and rewatch the actual episode, to recall how mage Viktor is presented to us, and what it's implied we're supposed to take away from his scenes, and separate that from the layers of headcanon the fandom has constructed.

In the last episode of MCD S2, Hyria says ‘Irene had no children, though she always wanted to be a mother’ (i’m paraphrasing here) but in Mystreet we find out Irene sacrificed her only daughter to make Shads relic (which drove him insane essentially)

This therefore kind of implies Irene lied to Hyria and the other DWs by extension…

OR Hyria knows, and lied to protect Aphmaus feelings… which may be less likely who knows.

My favorite small detail from Apollo is something that happened accidentally.

When I decided to make Chairman Meow, Magnus' daemon, I wanted him to have a name that was only for Magnus and wanted it to be the Indonesian word for "protector" (Pelindung). It felt like something child!Magnus would call Chairman Meow as Chairman Meow protected him for quite some time when he was a kid and out on the streets. It also would explain the Chairman Meow name, because having that be his name from the get-go makes no sense.

So, while Chairman Meow is the name everyone knows him by, Pelindung is for Magnus only when he's feeling vulnerable or when he's trying to stop Chairman Meow from chomping down on someone who's annoying him.

After choosing the name, I remembered what Alexander means as a name and, out of curiosity, decided to check what Apollo means as a name. (Apollo was the first daemon name I came up with.) And well...

Meaning: Destroyer.

I did not do it on purpose, but I somehow, in a certain way, named Alec's daemon after Magnus and Magnus' after Alec. I love this tiny detail, even if I laughed myself silly when I realized what I did.

i imagine the best case scenario for him in this instance is that he gets sent back to the planet he was originally taken from and entered into their foster system since they probably wouldnt be able to find any living relatives. he wouldnt be back with his family but he would be with his own species and would not suffer the total cultural estrangement and alienation he does in the canon.

alternatively he could just get passed into the broader imperial foster system on some random planet, which would be more of an assimilationist move.

I REALLY JUST SAT DOWN FOR THE LAST TWO DAYS TO MAKE REGRETEVATOR NPC DESIGNS AND FALL DEEPER DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE. WHAT IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING TO ME

Considering the goofy nature and the endless potential and possibilities that seem to come with Regretevator and its characters, I thought it would be really fun (and a good character design exercise) to make some NPC designs! I tried to remain as faithful as you can get to the Regretevator "standards" with these. Tried to be goofy. A few of them do have lore that goes a bit deeper in my head despite their goofy designs :)

Wack-ass "Biotransference Didn't Happen Like That" AU where the Necrontyr stayed fleshy but still went off the rails with immortality and no souls

The Flayers are straight up eating people to try to fill the holes where their souls once were, and they have the teeth to match now. really good cooks

The Destroyers grow. They are a disparate coven of limit-broken fleshcrafters bearing insectoid mandibles and a dozen eyes lacing across their bodies like strings of blinking jewels. Each sees themselves as a beautiful harbinger of all life's final destiny, just shy of perfect, finding only disdain for the self-imposed disgust of their non-Destroyer brethren.

The "normal" Necrontyr are bound to servitude to the rotten weight of their nobility for eternity now, and now they definitely have the sapience to still feel it. Or, perhaps, is it more painful to watch them all fade as the centuries drain them dry until they're as silent as the canon warriors? Is it worse to watch yourself shrivel or have it all ripped away before you can mourn what you've lost?

Would a good king prefer to watch his capitol's streets slowly grind into silence as the cost of his decree is paid, or might the silence dig so deeply that he would prefer it to go up in an Old One's annihilating flame instead?

My brain is scrambled tho because I have shipped them both with Sebastian as the openly gay one to even out the dynamic. I interpret Alex as closeted and Sam as bi/pan but skewing more towards women. Like he's not opposed to getting with a guy if he liked them but hasn't really thought about it kind of thing.

So how would they end up getting together?

Ok, I think I want Alex to be coming back from college. He lost his sports scholarship due to bad grades and was forced to come home, leaving his secret fling in the city at the same time. He's heartbroken, he's dejected, he's wallowing.

A couple of weeks after coming back, Haley decides she's had enough of his moping and they are going to a bar in the little town nearby to see some people from their high school perform. They're in a band now, and getting some minor success playing gigs at local venues.

Alex is totally plastered by the time Goblin Destroyer comes on stage. That must be why time slows when he sees Sam. Why his smile makes him feel warm and his heart race.

"Holy shit," he murmurs to himself. The scrawny class clown he knew in high school looks so different.

Haley eyes him knowingly. "No. Nuhuh. Not him. When I said we were getting you laid tonight I didn't mean one of the few people from Pelican Town!"

"But he's gotten SO hot."

"He's got a mullet, Lexie."

"Mullets can be hot," he pouts.

And then they begin their set, and Alex is certain he must be drunk as hell because he doesn't even like this kind of music but he's dancing along to it and having the best time. He's amazed that Sam can play the guitar and sing at the same time. He's amazed by Sam's voice, the rasp in it seriously fucking with his inhibition. And even when he stops singing, and just shreds a guitar solo, Alex is still awe-struck.

They hadn't been sure they would stay for the whole performance, but then Alex is cheering along with the crowd after their final song, cheeks flushed with exertion and heart racing.

He hasn't thought about his ex in hours. He hasn't thought about how royally fucked up his life is. And he doesn't want it to end. But Sam disappears.

Suddenly the crowd is too stifling. He needs to get outside. He needs to breathe. Haley seems to be having the time of her life pressed up against a wall with a man she met fifteen minutes ago. Alex texts her that he will be outside, and pushes his way to the exit.

It's cold, instant relief. It's quiet too, just a group of smokers chatting in the parking lot. He turns to walk the opposite direction from them, when someone bumps into him.

"Alex?"

Sam.
