Ok this might be such a random stupid take but I just noticed that post-catws we literally never see Steve and Natasha touch each other at all

Like in catws he’s literally grabbing her and carrying her around in battle and pushing her up against a wall and holding her up when she’s injured and she’s throwing herself into his lap to avoid gunfire and kissing him on the cheek and kissing him (!!!!) to act like a couple to blend in while they’re undercover

They’re shown to be very comfortable/not shy about touching each other (especially in a fight) so idk now that I’ve noticed it the lack of *any* physical contact between them in the other movies it kinda feels like we’re seeing a really restrained version of them from then on

I mean tell me if I’m wrong but I think the closest thing we get post-catws is them sharing the shield back and forth in aou even tho that’s not really the same thing (they were just too powerful a duo I guess lol)

Idk if this was intentional (maybe after catws they thought having them touch at all would feel too charged or something bc they saw the same chemistry that rest of us did lol) but at this point I’m kinda just laughing picturing the directors running around like chaperones at a middle school dance on all the sets screaming at Chris and Scarlett to get away from each other lmao

GWYNRIELS = PRODUCT OF BONUS CHAPTER/PRODUCT OF MARKETING STRATEGY

lmao its really sad to see gwynriels relying on a BONUS chapter to confirm their ship is endgame. Are they new into reading? cus every readers should know that bonus chapters are insignificant. Usually its either a deleted chapter from the book after being edited (cus its not that important and is a waste of space but cute enough for it to be a bonus chapter) or EXTRA scenes written after the book is completed because its required for special editions.

And they say gwynriel are mates/endgame because of the bonus chapter? thats so stupid. ITS A BONUS MATERIAL FFS. If that scene is written to show that gwynriel are mates, it means that the scene is IMPORTANT. IF IT IS IMPORTANT, SHE WOULD WRITE THE SCENE IN THE BOOK TO TELL ALL HER READERS THAT THEY ARE MATES. BUT NO, SHE WROTE IT IN THE BONUS CHAPTER WHICH MEANS IT ISNT IMPORTANT FOR READERS TO KNOW ABT IT.

But srsly, why did sarah wrote that scene in the bonus chapter? because sarah didn't write that scene to show gwynriel are mates...for readers with good reading comprehension, we can point out that gwyn have some secret powers in acosf and yes, possibly a lightsinger. Theres multiple of scenes where it is hinted. So the bonus chapter show us MORE abt how gwyn's power affected someone and in this case, azriel.

Bonus chapters aren't for authors to write an important revelation that was never hinted in the book. Even if gwynriel had shown mate behaviour in acosf, revealing that they are indeed mates in a bonus chapter is just a NO. Mate reveals are important and must be written in the books, not bonus chapters. The real case is that, this bonus chapter explore more abt gwyn's secret ability. Thats EXTRA/BONUS info for you. We already know gwyn has secret abilities in acosf and sarah just added EXTRA scenes abt it in the bc. This just tells us MORE abt how gwyn's power affected ppl and how she'll have a role in the next book, but not as the main POV because thats gonna be Elriel, the pairing that has been build up over few books.

Whether you read have read the bc or not, the knowledge abt gwyn is the same. She has powers that affects other ppl's powers. The bc adds more abt how gwyn can affecf other ppl's powers

The same thing applies to elriel's interaction in the bc. In acosf, we can tell that theres tension between them. "something charged between them". Casual readers picked this up. The bc ADDS to the tension by having rhys interrupting the kiss. It would be unfair if the bc is abt elriel confessing to each other bcus casual readers wouldnt know abt that. Therefore, whether you have read the bc or not, the knowledge abt elriel is the same. They have tension. the bc just adds more to the tension.

Azriel has never shown any interest in gwyn. If gwynriel would be endgame, sarah would atleast write abt azriel beginning to develop feelings for gwyn in acosf but she didnt because az just isnt interested in her and sarah has planned for elriel... gwyn just happened to be there. Sarah sure has plans connected to gwyn plotwise, but surely not as azriel's endgame, sorry.

Ranting to y'all because I've got no one else to rant to about something this stupid.

My friend just got mad at me for making a disgusted face when El kissed Mike at the end of season three, and I told them that I don't like the ship (Mileven). My friend started arguing with me and getting mad at me for not liking Mileven as if I was doing something wrong for not liking it. All I did was make a face. I can't explain to my friend how I truly believe to my core that I don't think that Mike actually likes Eleven romantically and that he's suppressing emotions because they'll immediately jump to the assumption that my thoughts are coming from a mindless obsession with yaoi and gay people and that "all my favorite characters have to be gay because I'm gay", which is not the case- But my friend will never believe that. I actually read into the Stranger Things character lore, I think deeply about who they are and I even watch all those stupid interviews with the Duffer Brothers so I can have coherent opinions on the characters; So, I know what I'm talking about when I say "I don't like Mileven as a romantic relationship. It feels forced and like they don't actually like each other." But no, my friend insisted that I'm just too in love with perfect fantasy relationships and that Mileven is actually an example of healthy real-life relationships. Yeah okay, it's definitely that and not THEY ACTUALLY JUST DON'T FUCKING LIKE EACH OTHER THAT WAY??? I didn't say every character has to have their soulmate and that all relationships are fated or whatever: I just think the two people in the relationship should show a semblance of actually loving each other the way they claim. After all, it appears TO ME that Mike and Eleven like each other the same way they like all of their friends, but they feel like they have to be in love with each other because they think that's what they're supposed to do in a heteronormative society. It's giving "I have good feelings for someone who is the opposite gender of me. This must be romantic love", but what they're actually feeling is friendship. But I can't prove that to my friend because I'll sound fucking insane. Like I'm self inserting my feelings or something (I don't feel these) and that I'm just coming up with excuses to my friend when that's just what I'm seeing with my own two fucking eyes as someone who has watched the show almost eight times over.

TTPD x Buddie is what made April, and probably the rest of the year, the best of my life. Like why are the songs fitting so perfectly over the whole Buddie storyline. It is like it was made for them.

Virgil couldn't stand it. Though it wasn't their fault (never their fault those two were perfect). They were the perfect mix of logic and passion and Virgil just whishes he was able to be included in that love that the two of them share. It hurt, his arms ached and burned when he saw them cuddle, tears pricked at his eyes when he watched them share sweet nothings during movie nights, his heart felt like it was being squeezed in an iron fist when the two of them held hands. It hurt the worst when they sat right beside him.

He couldn't help it, after he saw the two of them together, he ran up into his room, locked the door and started sobbing on the floor, not even making it to his bed. He had gone downstairs for a snack, and when he was in the living room he saw Logan and Roman making out on the couch. It made his heart shatter (the pieces of his heart always chipped away the more he saw the two of them together like that), and his eyes prick with tears that he managed to keep at bay until he was alone in his room, skin stinging with phantom touches, not knowing the feeling of loving touch (He wishes he could be between the two of them on the couch, smothered in those sugary sweet kisses he watches them indulge in).

But Virgil knows better than that, he knows better than to wish for such things. He knows better than to know that he's worth their love (he wants to be, so desperately, he wants nothing more than to be worthy of them). Logan and Roman were the perfect match, logic and creativity, brains and passion, and who was Virgil to think he deserved a spot in love with them, he had a perpetual storm cloud hanging over his head. He'd only put a damper on the perfect happiness the two of them had.

He picked himself up off the ground and got into the shower, that way his sobs could be masked by the running water and the playlist he chose to put on. A bunch of breakup and unrequited love songs used to put salt into his wounds.

(How could he listen to anything else, his heart was screaming in pain?). Virgil sat in the shower until the water ran cold and the playlist had played out at least three times. His eyes were red rimmed and his skin was wrinkled as he pulled on a tee shirt and a pair of shorts. It was only about 5:30 at night, well before dinner, but Virgil didn't see himself going to dinner with the others. (He didn't want to face the other two and sit across from them to see them so in love). It didn't matter that much he decided. He pulled out his phone and opened tiktok, the endless doom scrolling was about to begin, and he could at the very least distract himself from the growing hole in his heart.
