im a tad annoyed that the punch out "all animation" compilations do not, in fact, have all the animations. (and voiceline comps dont have all the voicelines but thats another thing)

like. okay. with exceptions, and excluding non-bout animations, pretty much every boxer had at LEAST:

idle animation

generic being punched animations

blocking low and high punches

uninterruped dizzy animation

punched while dizzy

throwing a punch and it landing

their punch being dodged

their punch being dodged then countered (maybe? i cant tell if it is a diff anim either way the comps never let the dodge animation play out)

their punch being blocked (if a punch can be blocked it has a diff animation to being dodged and no one shows it it drives me insane)

getting knocked down depending on jab or uppercut

attempting to get up but failing (only some have this but still theyre never in comps)

taunts

the ko/tko knockouts (not like anyone forgets these ones)

HHHHAPPY ISATVERSARY EVERYONE. here’s redraws for every single battle cg in the game. 36 drawings this time around, with 11 of those being custom (though admittedly a good portion of those are edits). combined with the portrait redraws i made back in september, i’ve made 114 redraws for this project! jesus christ! just like those redraws, these are completely free to use!! as long as i’m credited and it’s not for commercial purposes, go wild!! do whatever you want!!!

no i didn’t make these for isat’s 1 year anniversary this is just wildly good timing.

i genuinely can’t fit all of these cgs in one post even with the 30 image limit on browser, but i’ll still try to fit Most of them below the cut (without making this post horrifically long), along with some notes that might be important 👍

okay! once again, i labeled all of the custom art as such in the drive(UPDATE. NNOT TRUE ANYMORE. reformatted file names to be easier to mod in auau. apologies!), but if you want a full list, the customs are hatless siffrin jackpot, bonnie jackpot, bonnie special attack, bigfrin attack, and a bunch of alts which are definitely not related to any projects i’ve been thinking about don’t worry about it. and out of those customs, only like. 3 of them are actually completely from scratch.

while i did my absolute best to keep the aspect ratios completely the same as the originals, there’s 3 exceptions that i just couldn’t get to work.

isabeau’s hair in his special attack cg wouldn’t fit in frame if i kept things completely accurate to the og, so i moved his cg down a bit. it shouldn’t cause any issues with modding or anything, it’ll just appear slightly lower than it does in game. alas…

isabeau’s sleeve and mirabelle’s hair made their jackpot sprites a little larger than the originals? i’m hoping this doesn’t have too much of an effect (since the jackpot sprites have inconsistent sizes) but i can’t test this myself unfortunately. aaa feel free to let me know on discord if any problems arise!!

i managed to fix these, so they aren’t going to cause problems now, but my original drawings for mirabelle and siffrin in the final attack scene were a pain in the ass to fix. mirabelle’s sprite was slightly too talk to fit in frame and siffrin’s hat whacked bonnie in the face while i was editing everyone together. i’m only mentioning this because it took like an hour and a half to fix them and finish the scene.

all that aside, these were a fucking BLAST to work on. apparently this ended up taking 57 hours over exactly 10 days. which is a little worrying if you do the math on that but somehow i have not burnt myself out. i will be doing enemies at some point!!! but probably not for a little bit. i think my friends will actually kill me if i don’t take a break.

once again, happy birthday isat. you’ve ruined my life and i wouldn’t have it any other way (silly).

also, on an actual serious note, this little timeloop game has genuinely changed my life for the better? you guys are probably sick of hearing it at this point (or maybe not, i don’t talk about myself That Much. i hope), but i was practically a ghost for about 2 years before joining this fandom. it’s a little surreal to suddenly have friends (plural!!!) and people who Care about me, or even know i exist, honestly. it’s weird!! in a good way!!!

i don’t think i would’ve ever come back to social media if this community wasn’t so welcoming. i’ve met a lot of really great people through this game!!! so, uh, thank you isat, i guess. here’s to another year.

Squizard, The Magic Squid Pokemon.

Squizard is a naturally swift pokemon with hard hitting special attacks. It was a wide arsenal of psychic attacks and support moves. But due to it's tentacles they tend to get "tongue-twisted" while chanting their spells.

They're based off the plectronoceras. A silly little squid ancestor whose fossils have been dated back to the late Cambrian. They had a mildly curved shell which many have related to a 'wizard hat' and thus. Wizard squid heh.

Phandom boy

Danny as Phantom saved Tim's civilian side. Tim had a crush on him ever since.

Danny was not interested in joining anyone. So people left him alone. Phantom didn't want anyone to come to Amity park or places close to it. He said it was not wise and didn't want anyone getting hurt. So Tim didn't get to create an opportunity in peace.

Tim joined a server of Phandom - fans of Danny Phantom. He was so happy reading and enjoying talking to others about Phantom and Team Phantom.

Activities in Spirit roaming the living world grew and Phantom has started to show up more around the living.

Phandom puts a post on the server telling how Team Phantom was talking about needing a good detective to their team that has connections in the living realm.

Guess who has them? Yes you guessed it right!! Red Robin!! A.K.A Tim Drake-Wayne.

You can bet our little smart gremlin applies for the position.

Tim: I was a little too bored lately and can meet my idol too. Yeah sign me up. I should let people know that I am leaving. Let's see, everyone is so busy. Oh well I let them know later.

Batfam starts panicking. Where is Tim? He is not in his normal places and his teammates can't find him either.

Tam knew, because Tim wouldn't be showing up to the office anymore so, that's all. Tam is too used to Tim's craziness and thinks everyone knows. Color her surprised, when Batfamily is calling her about that dumbass.

Tam: Tim, damn you. How would you forget to let people know about this??? And why is he not answering???

I once more believe Battinson Batman needs to be given a child. Or multiple. Multiple children. I am also once more rotating Ghosts Have Wings Au. 

So Batman, still early in his whole vigilante career ends up busting a shipment, nothing too surprising there. Pretty usual honestly. Except for what was in one of the crates already open. Because it looks like some sort of gemstones but… perfectly spherical. Strange. Suspicious. 

But it’s also late, er, early in the morning, and the GCPD is notoriously corrupt, so like, he’s not going to just leave the weird gemstones, each about the size of a plum or so. (Dear Gotham he’s apparently hungry, and might inwardly vow to never let anyone realize what his tired mind decided to use as measurement) 

So he, unknowingly spurred on by more than just a slight bit of ecto contamination, takes the strange spheres back home. Just puts them in his pockets and heads back to the manor that they moved back into after the whole Riddler mess. (He even found a cool cave! With a bunch of terrifying bats, but they made a glass separator! For safety!) 

But in Bruce’s defense of forgetting about them, he’s more than a little tired and hungry and just wants to sleep for a bit, y’know? So maybe he forgets about the gems as he falls asleep in the chair in the cave (Alfred was not pleased!) until he starts digging around for them. Erm. Did they fall out somewhere?? There’s no holes in his belt pockets… 

And maybe these sort of things shouldn’t slip his mind, the spheres had felt Weird with a capital W, but he gets forced to a circus and there’s an… accident. So maybe he pushed it away as not important because there’s now an angry grieving eight-year old living with him and he’s panickedly reading any and all sort of parenting books he can get a hold of because he has no clue what he’s doing. 

Yeah, maybe his back is itching like crazy no matter what he tries, and maybe he threw up the other day, but it’s fine. This is fine.

been thinking about padme and her handmaidens recently because it's so interesting to me that they get stripped back as the films go on, to the point that i don't think they're in the third film at all?? (could be misremembering), whereas in the first film and the first half of the second film, they're a huge part of her life.

and i know people will say that the stripping back is just because george lucas was paying less attention to her, but booo boring doylist argument. i think it's a sign that she's just as obsessed with anakin as he is with her - the closer they get to each other, the more the other people in their life start to atrophy a bit. while they each obviously still have close relationships with other people, obi wan is arguably no longer the closest person in anakin's life, and no longer the person he turns to as a confidant (not telling obi wan anything about the dream, even vaguely, but telling padme every detail even though she dies in it felt pretty significant to me).

and i think it's so interesting that people in fandom talk about sabe a lot (because she was played by keira knightley) because they feel padme should have a close female friend, but i think sabe doesn't appear after the first film for a reason! i know books and comics put her on some mission or whatever, but i like the fact that padme has these short, intense relationships with people and then doesn't necessarily stay close with them, because i think that influences the way her relationship with anakin develops. also the fact that she doesn't have any women to turn to while pregnant, or even any friends to confide in about her general anxieties around the war besides her husband! she and anakin are both entirely dependent on each other as the only person they can be honest with, and i think people underestimate how intense padme is about anakin, and focus mostly on his side.

padme could probably pretty easily command her handmaidens to stay with her all the time and to keep her secrets, and while they may well be doing that off screen, we don't see any indication of that - the only vulnerable moments we see from her are when she's a. alone and b. with anakin, except for the very end when she doesn't have a choice. that feels like a pretty strong indicator of who padme is as a person, and how she's just as intense as anakin - she has people she could easily be very close to, but instead she chooses an emotional nightmare of a jedi as the only person she really opens up to. food for thought.

Finally, after some missions through time, Dan has managed to be approved as "Officially Reformed", and only with some supervision from Clockwork and Danny, will he be free to return to live in the human world.

So with the help of Clockwor, Tecnus and Tuker, an identity was created for him as a Young Adult, who after a few years of traveling around the world, returns to the United States to begin his University studies.

Dante Jackson Nightingale is a Young Adult recently enrolled in Gotham University to study Business and Finance with some elective classes in Engineering, being the place chosen for the high educational level as well as the level of ecto of the city… but the Phantom of the future has other hidden intentions.

During his 10 years of rampant destruction, Dan had a period of "calm", the reason, the strange relationship he developed with Batman, a relationship that was about to bring the angry spirit back to sanity by focusing his obsession on something else…

But it all ended when a surviving and better-funded group of GIW caught Red Hood to experiment on him, so the Batfam immediately went looking for him, and at first the rescue everything went according to plan, but it was until the end where everything went off the rails with the appearance of the Joker… it was never known how it all ended with the explosion of the bat, but it ended up costing the lives of the Bat and the Clown, and some permanent damage to some of the Batkids.

The death of the Knight of Gotham City ended up reviving and fanning the flames of anger and destruction within Dan, which would cause a destruction greater than anything known before.

So, in this new reality, Dan plans to continue with his original intentions with the bat, this time proving that he was a worthy partner for the Dark Knight.

Mairuma continuing to impress in how siblings are written. Of course Clara, who at the start of the series didn't think twice about axes being an appropriate play item to use with her schoolmates, has a brother close to her own age who is ecstatic about almost being actually murdered by his teacher. From here I can only conclude that the highlight of Urara's early childhood was being chased around by a Clara weilding a meat tenderizer. All the pieces fit together perfectly; no notes.
