hello nerds! my school is doing great comet this fall, and even though i’m a mere freshman, i plan on auditioning. if i get cast i’ll likely get ensemble, but i would love to plan helene so i’m gonna try to audition for her. also, my type cast is slut, so it works. i don’t know the musical super well, sp i figured to tumblerinas would have knowledge for me. any ideas for audition songs??? i’m a mezzo and want a song that’ll show off sultriness, and also my vocal flip. also they said they want acting driven material and a broadway pop sound, so yeah :-) thanks gang!

TO SANSA/JON FANDOM!

Hey everyone! I’m not sure how many of you remember this user, but lostlittlesatellites or batterydeaddotdot was a well-known Jonsa meta-writer in our fandom. Sadly, they deactivated, and as far as I know, we don’t really know why. A big chunk of their amazing work seems to have been lost, which was so sad for so many of us.

But here’s the good news: I recently discovered that some of their metas were saved on the "Way Back Machine" site! So, I put together a list of some of their pieces to share with all of you. More in Gwyn's family

Me and @val-of-the-north tried to smoke some ideas regarding what Gwyn's mother would be like, and what Seath's wife / mother of Shira would be like 🤔 And here are some takes from brainstorming so far!

1) Honestly, I first really needed to figure out: Lloyd is a God of what?

He is uncle of Gwyn, so maybe that would shed some light on at least Gwyn's mother (or father, it depends)! He is.. well, obviously, a God of Law and Caste; so a "concept" God (like Gods of Sin/Love/Struggle/War/etc...). He is called guardian of Law and Caste, and his weapon and shield are named after this! But I mean, what is his "element", if any?

First, he is associated with rings of light, aka halos:

(You can make out something akin to pope's hat, shoulders-down hair and a sash over his right shoulder from the coin if you squint, too, as well as sharp pauldrons! 'Halo' here appears to be not over head, but a figure behind him in general)

'Aureole' is just another word for 'halo'! In Dark Souls 3, Lloyd got kicked out from the position of Allfather, so obviously long-lost ways of the Way of White refer to his reign! Halos make sense too, as multiple miracles created of Way of White's clerics also feature circles + symbol of Way of White is literal white circle, too 🤔

Something more peculiar though, is some strange sacred white (maybe even slightly blueish?) flame, that is said to behave as though it is "blooming":

(With Sanctus it is less blatant, but you still can see "petals" drawn on it, as well as the similar round core but also depicting floating aureoles. And, again, white + blue + golden palette) This is already more unique, since Gwyn's flame is just a normal flame!

Lloyd's Shield of Caste (this is what the ring resembles) also depicts something "blooming" in my opinion!

All in all, it would make the most sense if Thorolund mostly drew inspirations from the powers of their leader, rather than such distinct vibes developing literally on their own! But it is just hard to tell what exactly it is? This made me think of something akin to star light, or maybe a comet or a meteorite? So, should that have connection with the sibling of his that was Gwyn's parent? But how?

2) We needed to figure out Lloyd's sibling now.

So this is where Val SAVED us from the crisis, suggesting that maybe Gwyn's mom was a firmament lady! He also said that in Greek mythology, which Dark Souls' panteon takes inspiration from too, marriage of sky and earth caused the events that resulted in the birth of a Sun! I don't remember much on it besides how it can't be completely accurate because in Dark Souls flame IS time, but the sky/firmament idea seemed really interesting?

And then I took another look at the (presumed) Gwyn's mother AND:

She is depicted with BIRDS around her!!!!!!!!! You know, like air and sky symbols! Val's suggestion started to make a LOT of sense!

So, her and Lloyd would be siblings associated with the sky, but in a more "cosmic" sense of it, but their elements were subjects to a change upon becoming more "earthly"! 'Sky' is where the light takes its influence, whether it is light or sun or moon! Lloyd's element would resemble a falling of a comet or a meteorite, with "blooming" flame and maybe circles resembling ripples of it?

3) Following the idea of "sky married earth", I also smoked a really cursed suggestion for Gwyn's father, who is mysteriously missing from any depiction, unlike this lady!

Which God is associated with Earth in some way? So how about the blacksmith deity?

Titanite Demons are not Demons in the same sense as Lost Izalith's ones; they're creatures that appeared from parts of the blacksmith deity! Kinda like how when Manus died, his soul got fractured into different beings (Daughters of Dark), not all that new concept in the setting!

The thing about Titanite Demons? They are shooting lightning, too! Lightning in this setting is the sunlight! Titanite Demons are also mostly prominent in Sen's Fortress, and there's even one inside a small sanctuary in Anor Londo. And this God died, presumably in violent death, since they got shattered, so maybe it happened during the war with Dragons? And by the end of it, no much means were to immortalise what it even looked like!

4) Soooooo okay, I know you are all tired of me trying to find a good spot for Caffrey in the family tree or the scheme of things in general, but hear me out

I might be onto an idea I actually feel the most satisfied with!

Seath became a "relative" to Gwyn's family on the virtue of marrying a female relative of him, like a term used for him in Japanese ( 外戚 ) suggests! And Shira is the daughter of this alliance: the "daughter of the Duke and descendant of Gods", stated to have royal blood, literally being named 'White', having white hair in concept and golden in the final product, shooting lightnings and following Filianore!

But also a couple of things to notice about her are: the bigger possibility that she is more of a collateral/distant relative (since she is servant of Filianore despite being her family) and.. the way her clothes depict feathers:

I don't think that feathers is something going with dragons by-proxy; King of the Storm is a Drake/Wyvern (they're the same thing in Japanese, it is a translational blunder), who are infamous for evolving, changing and adapting very far from their ancestry depending on.. anything, really, when Seath is one of the Everlasting Dragons (so, the OG ones)!

(I'd say Gwyndolin's wings either honor Velka, or, with this new idea, might honor his grandma! Or even both!)

So, I was thinking.. What if Caffrey was a wife of Seath, but also a daughter of Lloyd? That would make her a bit more distant from being just a sister of Filianore, might explain her wings by internal logic (and not just because goddess Fortuna is commonly depicted with them jsdfjds) with Lloyd's presumed connection with the sky.. and, I guess, might have had good reasoning in the story?

Havel was a Bishop in the Way of White, so, Thorolund and all that stuff already has been established by the time clerics were enemies with sorcerers! It is honestly a very funny mental image that after Seath betrayed his own kind, Gwyn was thorn between two friends who STILL could not get along (mostly because of Havel and the idiots). But, maybe marrying the noble/deity from Thorolund, who was also a family relative, was a way to cease the conflict? (I do not blame anyone who'd divorce Seath though but there WAS an attempt fsdhfds This is what matters. Though maybe she left because ALL Gods but one left (she'd have to live in Anor Londo after marriage), it was never personal...)

5) Also, about Caffrey again.

She is a Goddess of Fortune (or in Japanese, more blatantly stated to have connection with wealth)! I was thinking about gold, and this reminded me of the idea that Fina was also a 'strange' deity that shown clear signs of element (gold) instead of evolving into full-humanoid! Her connection to gold might've been the core of Caffrey's affinity!

But if she is also a mother of Gwynevere, that would mean that BOTH Gwyn and Lloyd fucking fell to her charms 💀 Literally no one asked for this information but now live with it I guess fshfdhsfh

0123: Defenders #15

Cover Date: September 1974 On-Sale Date: June 18, 1974

Woo Hoo! Nighthawk gets a nifty new outfit this issue, after his last one got blown off his body by an exploding melty laser. Fortunately, the beak is a huge improvement and the colors are much easier on the eyes. Our rag-tag non-team gets to fight Magneto and his merry band of evil mutants. Doc and Magneto are even duking it out on the cover!

Doc is giving new member Nighthawk a tour of the Sanctum Sanctorum. After dropping a few jokes that Doc doesn't get and hints about his snazzy new duds, Valkyrie picks up the cue and compliments him.

Val's identity crisis resumes and she is determined to leave the Defenders and find out who Barbara Norris, the body she's wearing, was. This is actually remarkable for this era. Barbara would most likely have been ignored. She was insane and just an extra body lying around for Valkyrie to posses. Life goes on.

Nighthawk wants to help. He can't figure out who Val is, but he can help her with the rather conspicuous winged horse. He calls a lackey and orders them to buy a riding academy with lots of privacy.

Val thanks him and they turn around to see Doc speaking to the empty air. Doc realizes he's the only who can see their mysterious guest so he uses his All-Purpose Amulet to shine some light on the situation. Oh look! It's Charles Xavier, founder of the X-Men!

Charley's usual lackeys are tied up so he needs the Defenders to sub in for him. Doc, of course, accepts on behalf of everyone present and then needs to recruit some muscle. In the form of the Hulk, naturally. The Hulk is confused by Doc's floating astral head, but obliges Doc by following him to the others. Fortunately all the present members can fly and manage to fly to New Mexico and not a very long time.

The gang meets with up with Charley just as the Hulk arrives. At this point, the readers don't know what this mission is and we're not sure if Charley has informed Doc off panel. As they prepare to enter the cavern in front of them, an giant orange cyclops (no the X-Man variety) emerges. Hulk requests he go away in typical Hulk manner.

The Defenders attack the beast. The beast wipes the floor with them, until Charley asks them to stop and reveals the monster is an illusion. Fancy that!

Charley is really looking like his physical inspiration, Yul Brynner, in that middle panel! The next attack is real and flattens the group as Magneto and his evil bunch come out of the shadows.

Magneto imprisons our heroes in a magnetic field. It's a little on the nose, but what else can you expect from the master of magnetism. Doc asks what's going on and why he's doing this. Magneto blathers something about a sleeper inside a giant bell jar behind him and then leads into a multi-page recap of an Avengers tale not long before the Avengers/Defenders war.

To make a long story somewhat shorter, in his encounter with the Avengers, Magneto was clobbered by the Vision and then Thor trapped him in a force bubble which was sent to the center of the Earth. Comet Kohoutek's passing made some tiny change to the force bubble allowing Magneto to break free and find his way back to the a cavern. Naturally, this cavern contains the remnants of some loss civilization, because we don't have a story if it didn't. It even has a library with books that are bound just like modern publishers do. He's even managed to decipher the ancient language with absolutely no frame of reference. Well, Mags is a genius after all!

He reunites his brotherhood of naughty mutants and then reveals what he's up to: making a home grown mutant.

Charley communicates with his substitute heroes telepathically and next we get a full page panel of them escaping. Yay!

Magneto calls his band of naughties together to protect him and we get a large panel of the stand-off.

The Defenders don't fare wall initially, but the tide starts to turn when Hulk realizes that Blob is rooted to the ground, so he removes the ground. Doc then counters Masterminds illusions with his own illusions and we get an old classic, lots of Docs!

Charley manages to set off Nighthawk's jet pack who then crashes into Lorelei taking her out. Unus grabs Val who realizes that he has lowered his forcefield and Unus becomes touchable. She tosses him to the Hulk who is happy to have something else to punch. It may all be in vain as Mags has turned on his homegrown mutant.

The premise was more promising that what was delivered. Perhaps part two will be better. The promise of the cover didn't deliver. It showcases Doc and Mags facing off, but we don't get that. I am intrigued by these two battling. They are incredibly powerful, but can magnetism and magic counter each other? How would one defeat the other. At least Len realizes the Hulk is smarter than most people give him credit. He may not perform brain surgery or solve the unified field theory, but he is capable of deducting and reasoning.

The story is a level above ho-hum. It's entertaining, but not great. I'm hoping for more from the conclusion.

Danios they float around purifying ambient, ecto. Anyone liminal may have 2-3 hanging about them. Danny got one of each color, unlike the rest. And some students are minorly jealous cuz Phantom has one of each color too.

Yellow - Glowlight Danio White - Yoma Danio Green - Electric Green Danio Red - Starfire Red Danio Orange - (ops forgot to add them as one is supposed to be behind this head where we can't see, and Orange and Red are Val's fish) Sunburst Orange Danio Blue - Cosmic Blue Danio Purple - Glactic Purple Danio Pink - Rosy Danio. the fishes are funny and they get the zoomies and fly around like comets from time to time. if you over freed or try to corrupt them on bad vibes/bad ecto them they they grow hug and spit like cells to multiply. they are intangible, so unless you got ecto-tech to touch them they are gonna be a hard to contain. they can be trained to do tricks to music with the right vibes. like lightning bugs they communicate with each other through glowing patterns and vibrations.
