𝙒𝙄𝙏𝙃 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙏𝙒𝙊 𝙆𝙄𝘿𝙎 at a sleepover at their grandparent’s place tonight, charlotte and floyd have the rare occurrence of having the house to themselves. they had taken advantage of the lack of responsibilities by opening a bottle of wine an hour ago and were now sitting side by side on the sofa, slightly buzzed and sharing stories from their past. while the blonde was normally guarded about being close to a man since breaking up with her ex-boyfriend a few years ago, floyd was an exception to that rule. it was easy to lower her guard considering she was so head over heels for him, feelings she kept buried deep inside in fear of rejection and the complications of crossing that line. she knew that one day her job as his nanny would come to an end and she would have to say goodbye to the three people she grew to adore. so for now, she enjoys this moment with him while she still has the time to do so. ❝ …and anyway, since then i haven’t been able to go in the ocean. jellyfish are terrible! ❞ she laughs softly, nose wrinkling for a moment before she took a sip from her merlot. swallowing the red liquid, she places the glass on the living room table and turns to him again, brown hues meeting his own. ❝ what about you, huh?  what’s your biggest fear? ❞

if anyone ever thought that gordon ramsay’s handling of intense passionate emotion in a highly stressful and chaotic environment wasn’t unhinged enough and they wanted him to be a worse person who spit on people, they should have roger waters take his place. it would be 100% more chaotic, he would stress himself and everyone else out sooo bad, there would be so many crash outs, he would be angry crying like 90% of the show, and everyone would be so goddamn sick of his shit. it would be so bad and he is not a chef so it wouldn’t even be a case of where his bossiness and perfectionism would help drive them to end up creating a beautiful work of art. like he would just be losing his fucking marbles and be completely out of his element like just totally insufferable and it would end in complete disaster for everyone involved…. he would be nice to the kids tho :)

Bob isn't sure his actions qualify as helping. He had, to Bradley's credit, literally stepped in. It was truly poor, or spectacular depending on the view point, timing. Instead of Bradley getting decked, it had been Bob.

"Sorry for what," Bob mumbles, eyes crossed as he tries to watch Bradley dab at the blood on his cheek. He thinks the cut came from his glasses, now sitting broken beside him on the counter; he also thinks Bradley needs to stop saying sorry. It isn't his fault.

okay 1) we're going to have to wait on the beatles one because I haven't listened to enough of ringo's solo work, 2) if I come up with five for each of them I'll spend hours on this so instead I'm giving you my top song for each of them for a total of five

roger: "the powers that be" – I kind of love how radio kaos fully leaned into the 80's vibe. it's very fun and is classic roger political commentary. of course, I always enjoy the songs where he's just listing examples of things, and I also love the chorus of this one

david: this morning I put on "this is david gilmour" so I'd be better prepared to answer this and literally the first song that came on turned out to be about john lennon and it pissed me off so much I had to stop. so instead I'm choosing "yet another movie"** because we all know momentary lapse is a david solo album

(**however, the live version from delicate sound is a real pink floyd song and it's one of my favorite songs period)

nick: "hot river" hands down. no competition. nick said that he put all of his favorite little bits of pink floyd's sound into it and it shows, AND it's about having sex in a boiling river in hell. what more do you want

rick: "pink's song". this song is about syd, and it was really touching to get to hear rick's perspective on their relationship. he already has a naturally sad voice and it really hit home with this one

syd: "opel". really the answer should be "octopus" since that was the top song on my spotify wrapped last year, but opel (which is really spelled "opal" they misprinted it) is just so.... evocative. when I listen I always get this strange sense that I've been to that distant shore, and the extended acoustic section is emotionally moving in a way that's hard to describe

despite  the  news  that's  been  plaguing  the  town  for  days  now,  one  thing  prevails  in  nathan's  mind:  keeping  up  a  facade.  of  course,  it  isn't  like  he's  being  forced  into  this  charade,  in  fact  his  intentions  are  halfway  to  genuine,  but  playing  pretend  when  everything  else  is  falling  apart  around  him  is  easier  than  having  to  face  the  wreck.  so  here  he  is,  standing  by  the  front  desk  of  the  register  with  two  cups  of  afternoon  coffee,  one  to  give  to  his  beloved  wife  whom  he  is  allegedly  wholly  committed  to  —  except  charlotte  isn't  there,  because  apparently  she  just  left  for  lunch,  so  now  he  looks  like  an  idiot  standing  by  the  entrance  with  two  quickly  cooling  coffees  and  a  mildly  bruised  ego  over  his  failed  attempt  at  being  a  good  husband.  that's  when  he  sees  effie  in  the  corner  of  his  eye,  and  turns  on  his  heel.  “  miss  effie  floyd,  ”  he  calls  out smoothly,  sauntering  over  with  a  picture-perfect  grin  plastered  on  his  face.  “  must  be  a  busy  day  today,  ”  he  remarks,  gesturing  around  him  as  various  employees  walk  in  and  out  and  around  the  bulding.  “  how've  you  been?  there's  been  . . .  quite  a  number  of  interesting  stories  as  of  late.  ”

"Sometimes I'm convinced this fucking town is out to ruin my vibe," Tyler huffed as they passed by another restaurant happy hour filled with people that looked too happy and annoying for her to want to stop.
