Crafting a headcanon that both the pride arts of timbern were taken by an in-universe follower of this particular robin, and specifically has an interest in his romantic life. They post new pics of the two of them on their fanaccount whenever they catch them out and about. They don't even know Bernard is a loyal follower since he, too, is a fan of this robin and his love-life.

mmm throwaway conversation between Dan and Danny that popped into my head that I had to write out:

"You spent ten years being a one-man mass extinction event, then went back in time and fought me, and lost." Danny snarls, arms crossed and throat tight. His mouth pulls back to bare dagger-sharp teeth, and his eyes burn with the familiar thrum of ectoplasm heating up behind his eyes. "If I didn't believe you were half of Vlad before, I do now."

His other self -- and really, can he even call him that? He's half of Vlad too. Two halves severed from each other and welded together to make a new whole, -- snaps his head over to him. Wild-eyed and furious, he looks unlike the man Danny fought before, the one unruffled and untouched, unbothered by the world around him. It's familiar, but not like the way a reflection is.

"What's that supposed to mean." The Other hisses, matching Danny's scowl one-for-one with fangs much bigger and sharper than his.

But there's a reason lions fear hyenas. Danny matches the rumble in The Other's chest with one of his own, and shoves his face close to his. "I don't lose."

Danny enlists the help of Dan and Dani regularly in crimefighting. The JL initially assumes siblings, but Dan volunteers that he's actually Danny's kid from the future. Danny is so shocked by thinking of it that way that Dani thinks it would be hilarious to insist she is the same. the following ensues.

Danny: whoa, what do you think you're-

Dan: dare you to explain me and her and what they're gonna find in our genetics any better without sounding like you're covering for someone.

i'm kind of late to this but i just finished reading the scholomance trilogy by naomi novik and i feel like it is such an underrated urban fantasy?? taking the chosen one trope and turning it on its head with a fmc who has been prophesied to bring death and destruction, who is imbued with terrible power, but cannot even properly use said power to solve any of her obstacles because it would obliterate them and her soul. it takes a tired trope and the idea of an 'overpowered mary sue' and throws it back in your face by showing how all the power and destiny in the world is useless against a system filled with corruption that has burdened you with an easy way out (evil/destructive magic) that you can't take so now you have to work twice as hard as everyone else just to do simple, constructive spells instead of flicking your wrist and being done with it.

The comeuppance I need is for Will to say in season 5 that he doesn't expect himself to be happy and has come to terms with that

so that GA see in action what they didn't mean to request: that he "learn to let go" because his "hopes were too high/he was wishful thinking".

I just want them to see the ending they wished for him and go "this is terrible I'm so sorry I didn't about it this isn't what I meant". I want them to see what they asked for.
