Honestly with Lycaon it's a mixed bag?

Like depending on the scene he either shuts it down, like when working for example, or plays off of it expertly, which I can imagine is when he's specifically not working.

So I would just suggest being cautious and know when it's appropriate to do that.

But! To expand on what I said earlier about him playing off of your teasing. I can imagine if you're smaller than him, he would just use his larger frame to tease you back.

In a romantic context he would just lean over and, if no one is around to see, pin you against a wall. He wouldn't do anything, just look down at you until you got too flustered to say more.

Though in a more platonic setting the most he would do is most likely pick you up and walk around with you over his shoulders, because that's the easiest way to shut you up.

With Seth I feel like he would take it to heart too much? Like don't get me wrong, I'm sure he can read the tone perfectly and know you're just teasing.

But something is just telling me that in his brain, his logic is a sort of “why say something potentially hurtful even if in a playful manner?” 

To reiterate, he knows it's all in good fun, but I can see him with this blank face processing your teasing for a moment before playfully rolling his eyes as he tries to brush it off. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

He wouldn't really mention when it starts to bother him, mainly because he knows that's just how some people interact. 

Though I'm sure you would know when to quit it if you do notice it bothering him.

there isnt exactly a "stage" in this pub, so he cant really see whos singing. he quickly makes his way towards the crowd and pushed his way through. after the people realize who he is, its easy enough. his eyes land on one of the most beautiful humans he's ever seen. his eyes are almost crystal clear in this lighting. a warmish brown, almost orange. his auburn brown hair is fully down, embellished with golden jewels and hair tinsel. a strange look.. but it works on him. and his skin..

Pawns? -> Everyone who doesn't seem like a real threat. NPC's, regular Cookies, ect... but they can certainly become something else with enough patience and perseverance. That's the fun part.

hey so i am so so pleased they hired an intimacy coordinator this time around! and you can tell that the actors are much more comfortable too! the intimacy is much much better!!

let's do a lil intimacy breakdown from my knowledge as an IC in training and a director just in general

(this is a long post so it's under the cut)

fact is, there's some awkwardness in the ed/stede s1 kiss, which i am ninety percent sure is due to body placement. i'd wager there was a discussion on set that was like "hey this is a stunning shot, we love what it looks like, let's get the actors in" and they got the actors in and got to the blocking for the kiss and everyone was like "hey this is a bit awkward but we'll muscle through" - cause that awkwardness fits the character arcs.

but it's not actually all that easy turning all the way to one side to kiss someone without moving where your legs are! it's weird! it's an awkward angle! - or more accurately, it's the angle that two people would kiss at if it was a very impulsive, awkward surprise; or if your two lead actors are very good friends faced with playing lovers for the first time and not sure what to feel about that (we've all been there) - there's reticence, but it fits the scene so it's fine.

(Lucius and Pete and Olu and Jim also have moments of intimacy, which for the most part are fine, and I suspect that's a combo of a) their staging is SO MUCH BETTER, b) character choices, c) different directors and d) less of that "OMG WE'RE PLAYING LOVERS NOW" anxiety)

for the record, intimacy direction isn't just for kissing/sex scenes, ICs can come in for intimacy building exercises and additional blocking, as well as things like nudity, childbirth or any similar sensitive work, but I'm going to be talking mostly about kisses in this. anyway!

Beautiful! Kind, lovely, tender! The backdrop is super nice too. Honestly, the Lucius/Pete stuff has really been so nice all the way along; that's great casting! Especially in S2E5, everything reads as very earnest and space is used very well.

Archie and Jim. Now, we don't have anything to compare it to from S1, but I'm flagging it cause yeah, they definitely have similar staging to Ed/Stede from S1E09. I would say there's a much better range of movement in this one, likely because they're sitting on the floor, braced against the bed, so they can compensate for the weird angle better than E/S could. This might come off as a lil rude but it's also more likely that these two actors are slightly more flexible and can make this staging work better than Taika and Rhys.

Cannot for the LIFE OF ME find a gif of their hug, but they have fantastic chemistry! despite only showing up for like 2/3s of one episode. I've seen people whining about how they absolutely should have kissed - and you know what, I would have liked that too!

however, I suspect that what happened here was that one or both of the actors didn't want to kiss on screen, and voiced their objections to the IC, who found a work around. It was likely not cause of any kind of ill will or homophobia, for the record - sometimes you just don't want to kiss people. Maybe you're sick, maybe you're feeling weird, maybe you're just not in the right headspace, but a kiss might be off the cards that day.

This is behaviour we want to encourage, btw. The goal is to ensure that actors feel comfortable and that the shot isn't be all end all. I've done something very similar, we had 20 mins to get the blocking done and the actors weren't at a point where kissing felt comfy, so we did a kiss on the cheek and a hug.

it is better that the actors are comfortable than your ship is fulfilled.

Hey yknow what I was saying about how ICs aren't just used for blocking, they're used for chemistry building? That's what they've HIT ON HERE. This is genuinely a very lovely kiss. It's deeply appropriate for the characters, and it's private and simple. things get a little more raunchy, and hands start moving, but then it's stopped, for a narrative reason, and the chemistry remains with the hand hold. It's really very nice, well blocked and well performed. the hand placement! the tenderness! it's great. there's none of that s1 reticence, whether that was from characters or actors.

I think the intimacy work, much like the writing and the characterisation is much, much stronger in this season, and that's to the show's benefit. I know we're only halfway through, but I'm thoroughly interested to see where things go in the remaining episodes. I will update this post if anything exciting crops up in the final five.

and this is why you need to hire ICs! they make life easier for actors, directors and crew alike!!

Big fckn redesigns here. Well mostly Charlie but Vaggie somewhat too 🥰🥰

Blue fits Charlie soooo much and I cease to see that many redesigns with this color. I still want red to be used in most of their designs because well. They are in hell, but not too present so to make way for other unique colors. Charlie has several physical traits from her parents but also she has some details in her clothes that match with them. When I uhh, introduce their designs you'll see lmao. I also tried to make her have a more roundish design, I jst LOVE those typ of designs omg. I just want the characters with not too many sharp corners pls Viv bro... 😔 oh yeah she's mixed cuz her mom's are darker in their redesigns. Alot of their genetics went down to Charlie so she doesn't look like an exact copy of Lucifer, I kind of hate that trend with hh and hb characters, like did the moxxies dad give birth to him bro 😭 also I kept her bow because it looks so cute and silly on her it just fits, I wish they made it bigger in her show design because it would fit her silliness so much. The wife ever. I had animation in mind more when I designed her, not like in a "How easy or hard would this be to animate" way. But I like to imagine when she's shocked her hair kind of fluffs out plus her actual fluff, when she's mad her bow turns into kind of horns and then her jacket expands like wings. Gave her a more hotel like outfit, she likes to work for fun (ew). Her socks are socks but she has some fluff under them she just tries to cover it up because she hates herself 🤪 (she doesn't hate her bigger body she actually feels much more comfortable chubby than when she was skinny with Adam. She was burdened with the weight of Adam's image of women... In this sorta rewrite she gained weight when she goes to the hotel because she's more happy. I'm dying I love chub Vaggie so much guys please) headcanon: she kind of likes fashion, it's like a fun hobby of hers to stitch together clothing and go out and buy clothes she'll never wear. She taught Charlie how to stitch and she SUCKS so you can jst see it on Charlie's pants.

Second outfits! Charlie's hotel uniform for. Well. Hotel stuff. She usually only wears it when new people come to the hotel, which.... isn't often, if at all. She still likes to keep it just in case. Vaggie's is in her armor. She has several pairs of armor lying around in the hotel in completely hidden spots. It's kind of surprising uhh. Yeah she wears it alot more than Charlie wears her alt uniform but still rare to find her in it. I don't get the whole thing with the exterminators and them not being able to fight according to Carmilla. Which is kinda stupid, I'm not gonna lie. So, instead of that, Vaggie has just let her guard down and has gotten much more comfortable in her surroundings so she feels like she doesn't need to fight anymore, she's just gotten rusty 's what I'm sayin. I have no idea how to draw armor. You can tell...

It was late at base , too late to be exact and you stood working at your desk in your office like a dog , hunched over as you typed away. You mostly stood at work keeping to yourself as you were still going through papers , the bags under your eyes were evident and the fatigue was almost fully shown as you kept working an writing away. You had always stood late doing work , just to take your mind off things and the fact that you had seen so much blood throughout the weeks. You wanted to escape it but this was something you knew you couldn’t. It was something you just lived with and learned to cope with.

You were quiet most of the time , cracking jokes here and there with a witty comment every once in a while but you even knew that you needed sleep but you refused. You knew that if you slept you’d see it all over again , the same moments replaying in your head of your dying comrades and your friends leaving this world. So you kept working to try and take your mind off it until you eventually slept do to exhaustion. Currently at the moment You had been so caught up in your work now that you haven’t even noticed ghost standing behind you, lurking about. The soldier stood there, towering above you , keeping quiet as he did so with an unamused look in his eyes , regardless of the mask you

knew him as clear as day. You saw his reflection on The screen of your computer and you turned around with a tired and unfazed look. You were one of the women around currently at a base filled with men, mostly ones who would tease or insult , but you were no pushover. You cracked jokes, were blunt and spoke when needed, which is exactly what made you fit in for the job. You were tough but even the toughest ones have there struggles.

“What is it.” You sighed as you looked at him.

“You need to go to sleep , you're working around like some stupid emotionless robot and it’s fucking tiring every day to keep telling you this.” His voice was very blunt and clear.

He’s been worried about you but he’s also been angry. He’s angry since you never really show your feelings but most of all he’s angry at himself. He was so used to being an emotionless mask himself that he hated that you had never let anyone behind your walls either. He wanted you to crack.He was angry, angry at the world and angry at you.

“Yknow maybe if you quit being so fucking vuage and maybe let someone in you’d be alright yeah ? But no you just gotta be some emotionaless fucking doll.” His tone was low and slowly changing to one of anger and disgust. This caught your attentions and your eyes narrowed as you stood up from your desk and you glared at him.

“Don’t you fucking project your shit onto me you fucking cuck, you the same like me you fucking asshole yet you refuse to see that maybe I have shit fucking going on I rather not talk about you absolutely fucking oblivious asshole.”

You snapped , you were at your breaking point with him.

He had always tried to get you to open up , always tried to push further to see if you’d crack and give into telling him whatever but that wasn’t it. You didn’t want to tell anyone as you rather forget what you had been through. You went through a lot growing up. You Mother passed away due to suicide and your father was a abusive drunk towards you , leaving so many scars on you to remember for later on. You got put into foster care once your father got arrested for drunk driving and you stood hopping home to home until you eventually just grew out of the system. You never had a chance to grow up really and you had gotten robbed of your childhood. Life wasn’t easy but you walked through like nothing. Ghost looked stunned for a second before his face contorted into anger. He hated that you were seeing right through him and you and him both knew it. He never told you about his past but you knew all too well with just his mannerisms.

"You think I don't have my issues, too?" He glared and you shook your head before listening to him continue on. "Your unemotional mask is just a shield, covering up whatever emotions you have left to protect you. Do you know how pathetic it is to hide your emotions because you're afraid of being vulnerable?" Ghost continued, his expression hard as he looked down at you, his fist clenched at his sides.

“And do you know how much you look like a clown? because I see right through you like clear water. You’re scared , you don’t know what’s happening and you sure as hell don’t know what’s wrong with me.” You snapped again as you went in front of him. Looking him over as you saw his eyes widened. Ghost couldn't believe it for a moment as his eyes widened. You understood him, while everyone else didn't. He was so used to people making comments about him behind his back, about him being emotionless. No one else seemed to get it but you did. You knew how he was all from his mannerism.

Ghost paused for a second as a rush of emotions went through him. He hated being vulnerable, and yet here he was, glaring and expressing himself to a woman he normally wouldn't even talk to. As he looked at you, he suddenly felt weak and wanted you, more than he'd ever wanted anyone before. He’s never dated much , more so one night stands but this was different. He felt understood but he also felt vulnerable. In your case you were just as scared as he was.

“You hide behind that fucking fake facade you call ghost because you were broken down as a child and put back together bit by bit by force and abuse. You take your shit to the feild and get it out of your system until that void in your head reminds you. You think I’m emotionaless you think I don’t feel yet you never fucking saw my work as a cope , I distract myself with work instead of facing the shit I need to face so don’t you dare tell me I don’t understand and that I’m emotionally unavailable and emotionless becasburlyue in reality I’m not and I know what you are , we all know but most of all I know.”

Your words hit him like a semi.

He couldn't believe it. You knew him. Everything you said was true. He couldn't deny it. The muscular , 6ft4 man stumbled back a step. He felt like you had torn his mask off, exposed him completely. He felt like a fish out of water , cold and targeted. "How... How did you...?" he murmured, not knowing what else to say to defend himself. You knew him, his trauma, his pain and in that moment, he was utterly vulnerable before you. “You think I don’t fucking know when I do because I’ve been through it myself” You glared as you looked away from him for a moment.

You knew how it felt , it hurt a lot. The gears couldn’t save you or change anything but it made you feel a bit better but it never helped with actual change. Nothing really did ever help and you just kinda walked on with life after everything was going on. Ghost froze at your statement. Have you been through it? He had never met anyone else who had been through what he had in his entire life. But here, he stood looking at you, staring at you like you were the only thing left in this world. His eyes filled with tears. He was used to never showing his emotions, not to anyone. Not the way you were making him open up But deep down he wanted you to see him for who he really was. To comfort him.

Ghost continued to stare at you, waiting for an answer as you stood silent looking away. His eyes were still wet with tears. If you wanted, you could tear this tough and hard man down. He was weak in front of you, and would do whatever you wanted him to. The once aggressive, rough, mean and cold soldier was crying in front of you, vulnerable and in complete awe that you understood him more than anyone else. He had ongoing feelings for you but he always denied the feeling of that but now he knew and accepted that he wanted you. In every aspect he wanted you.

As you saw the tears in his eyes your gaze softened for a moment and you sighed before walking up closer to him and you gently lifted up his mask causing his breath to hitch in his throat. You were the only one who ever got a pass to take off his mask , you’ve seen his face before but this was different. You saw the light scar marks on his face , his light lashes and eyebrows along with his dark brown eyes. You then stood on your tippy toes and you gently brushed your thumbs under his eyes as you wiped away his tears.

“Don’t…don’t cry okay? I’m sorry….im sorry I’ve been distant with you and that I snapped at you….i'm sorry alright just don’t cry..” You murmur as you felt your whole demeanor change as you went from angry to just lost and hurt.his entire body relaxed in your soft touch. He felt your gentle, soft touch and his heart raced.

He didn't seem to care that you were a foot shorter than him, that you were the one of the few women in an army filled with men, with you alone with him. He was simply content that you were with him, accepting his tears. Accepting him for who he was and how he felt. The hard, cruel man was melting, becoming soft, and he couldn't help but wrap his arms around you holding you into a tight embrace.

He held into you tight, desperate to feel your touch, and to forget the entire world for a few much needed minutes. Ghost held onto you tightly , needing to feel your touch and you felt that you were there with him. He was holding you as if you’d slip away forever.

"Please, don't let go..." he whispered, tears still flowing down his face. He'd never felt this way before. His strong and cold exterior had melted away and he wanted nothing more in that moment than for you to embrace him back. He didn't care what people would say if they saw him like this. He just needed comfort, and to show you that he trusted you more than anyone else. Ghost felt lost and alone, and just wanted a home in your arms.

“Please..." he whispered again, his voice quivering slightly at the feel of your body against him. He was desperate to feel anything that wasn't the cold loneliness he felt inside and the loss and hurt he dealt with as well. Ghost grip was tight, but he didn't seem to care. His embrace grew more and more desperate as his need for comfort grew as your touch lingered and grew on him.

Ghost's heart beat like crazy, his entire body was pressed up against yours, from his chest to his hips. He had his face buried into your shoulder and his body clinging tightly to yours. You could feel the muscles of Ghost's large frame as you stood extremely close with each other and his grip was becoming more and more possessive. He didn't want you to let go. He didn't want the one person he trusted to just push him away. He wanted to be close to you, safe, and cared for.

After a few moments you and him finally pulled away from each other. His face was flushed, and there were still tears on his face from moments prior.He avoided looking at you, his hands were shaking as he wiped the tears away.He was completely lost, and didn't know what to do. Ghost's eyes flickered down to the floor as he seemed ashamed for showing you this side of himself. He was still trembling slightly, afraid that you'd say something about him being weak or not being strong enough to handle things. He didn’t like feeling weak. You noticed this and your gaze softened completely and you lifted ghosts chin to meet his gaze and you gently cupped his cheek.

“You're not weak…just been strong for too long and you are breaking.”

Ghost's eyes widened for a second as you spoke. The cold , hard, and emotionless man in front of you was on the verge of breaking down, and you were offering him support and trying to make him feel better , something nobody has ever done for him. “Your as clear as water to me ghost but that doesn’t change anything about how I feel about you…..fuck it …..ghost , I love you.” You confessed.

Youve had feelings for him for so long and now was the time you thought it was good to tell him since it was already a very vulnerable moment for the both of you. Ghost had feelings for you but fet he was never good enough so he shied away but now he had no words as he heard your statement. For a moment he stood quiet before leaning down and pressing his chapped and cracked lips to your soft ones. It was a surreal moment, the feeling of his warm lips on your was something you’ve only dreamt of.

Ghost was now fully leaning into the kiss, the intensity and tenderness of it growing with each passing second.He couldn't help but pull you to him tighter as the moment let on.The rough hands, which once held a gun firmly, were now tender and caring in their grip of your back. The hard, brutal and merciless soldier was now completely lost in the kiss. His hands held you firmly, and the kiss grew deeper, his tongue exploring your own mouth. Ghost could hardly believe himself, his whole demeanor had completely changed around you but you weren’t complaining.

Ghost then pulled away and rested your forehead against his own and closed his eyes, his body growing completely still as he savored the tenderness of the moment.bHe had never, ever felt like this for anyone in his life. He truly wanted you. He truly wanted to love you.He felt he could stay like this with you for eternity.

do you have any tips for how to get yourself to write, and more importantly, how to like your writing? i used to be so confident and sure of my skills in writing but recently it seems like i can never put down actual words, and when i do they just come out flat. it’s the worst possible time for this to be happening too 😭 i really look up to you as a writer and admire your dedication and your ability to write consistently so if you can, help please!! 🙏

first of all thank you so much for your lovely words!!! i'm beyond flattered that i'm someone you look up to in writing, you're so kind to say so, and i've been pleased with my own consistency recently tbh. it's not always like that, i go through long stretches not being able to get myself to write, which is always frustrating and upsetting.

anyways in terms of getting yourself to write and, more importantly, to like what you're writing, here's what i've got for you my friend!

telling yourself that you're not going to care about it being perfect is the only way to get through it, i think. i do what i call 'flashdrafting' which is the fastest and shittiest version of something. i don't even pay attention to punctuation and full sentences, i just slam through stream of consciousness as much as possible without thinking about it. i get really into the groove doing that and then i move that text to the bottom half of my screen and type at the top, just retyping what i wrote into full sentences and paragraphs, adding details, etc. it helps me not overthink things too much.

i also do sprints in discord! i'm in a couple of servers with people i write with and doing those timed writing exercises helps me not only get a couple sentences out at least, it engages a communal aspect that is really helpful to me. of course this only works if you have like. a server to write with people in, but similar effects can be achieved setting a timer for five, ten, fifteen minutes etc. or just telling yourself fuck it, i'm adding 100 words to this story.

writing the parts you're excited about first can also help, i think. of course then it's a pain in the ass to go back and lay the groundwork for them or connect the scenes but sometimes that helps you realize that maybe you didn't need the parts you weren't excited about in the first place, or it'll give you motivation to get through those parts.

if you feel like you really hate what you're writing, switch to something else. that's what i do. i think it's really easy to get n one's own head with any creative endeavour, especially writing. you probably hate it mostly bc you wrote it. i end up hating a lot of the stuff i write and even if i'm lying to myself when i say it, i get through that by telling myself 'you hate it bc you wrote it, it's not that bad'

and, finally, having people to write with/get excited about writing with/hype your writing up. i cannot emphasize how critical this is. i would not have gotten anywhere in any of my projects if it weren't for the wonderful people - here, on anon or with a name attached, or in my dms, or otherwise - who are cheering me on and hyping me up and getting excited with me. it's hard to feel like your writing is garbage when someone you respect and enjoy talking to is telling you it rules, yknow? and it can be hard to build that kind of community but honestly, it's just about showing up i think. join a server if one exists, start messaging with writers you like, just start posting about your writing. building that community is like. i wouldn't be writing nearly as much as i do as often as i do if i didn't know it mattered to other people too.

i think they watch tv. like this isn't super contentious to me i think it's an activity that wataru absolutely loves sharing with people and mama has a bunch of really specific media she's extremely normal about so watching movies and showing each other their favorite ones etc etc etc is absolutely like an extremely important shared activity for them 

i think when they want it to be a relaxing night they specifically pick something neither of them is familiar with though. sharing media you love can be a complicated process.

in my mind at least during es2 they have somewhat similar frames--mama a bit more muscular with wataru a bit more lean, but they're the same height and generally wear the same size at least for tops with pants being more complicated 

i think the jacket-stealing specifically is really severe with both of them? i think wataru loves stealing her jacket when they either go out alone or together, especially since they share a dorm room which makes it REALLY easy to just pick the wrong one which then ofc means mama has to wear watarus coat 

i think wataru would have to pester mama into wearing one of their shirts but absolutely would do it. and would like specifically pick something a bit more subtle but still colorful that fits her really well Just Because. i think wataru tried to make mama wear a skirt once but it just didn't work out and this is much more of like. fashion show for personal amusement vibes. wataru discovered they CAN share clothes and absolutely loves that so they kinda take advantage of it 

and i think mama likes to do subtler things like specifically picking up one of watarus hair ties for her own braid which like yknow. less obvious to anyone but them

and is not a jab at preferences ever i just get a feeling only s4 warped people’s perceptions (which i dont get because will is still gentler in s4. he just grew up yknow!) even in sfw content. i guess i just don’t see where people (not @ you <3) get the idea he needs to be aggresive to be in control when that isn’t who he is. aggressiveness is a trait they show us he conforms against and isnt the only way to approach control! but it’s like you said people have different things they like depending on daily moods, and growing up, that’s a real to life way to look at it! so duh he’d have friskier days, i understand that view of it

In my "real" headcanons for Will this is exactly what I'd like to see for him. Does that make sense? And I don't know if you misunderstood what I was trying to say, but I agree with you. I think that, and this is from talking to real survivors of SA, that this IS a perfect way to heal and build up his confidence in the fact that someone could give him pleasure and it not be something that's going to hurt him or take advantage of him. Receiving that kind of attention and have it be something completely positive---like think of the healing that could offer and that sort of joyous revelation? That's something that's so beautiful to me personally, and generally how I write Will in most of my stories.

However, I don't see anything less healing or beautiful about someone who's been beaten down taking initiative and feeling powerful in a real physical way. It truly is just how that particular person has responded to their regular life? Imo anyways.

Or....also....this can happen in a completely non-sexual way. Which I have written here. There are mulitple ways this could happen for a person like Will and I think they are all beautiful and worthy of exploration in fic.

Mike, in my opinion, in a canon sense.....is a giver. He seems to have an innate sense of caring for and wanting the people around him to be happy. if you delve past his sometimes prickly and sarcastic exterior, I think he's a person who deep down wants to be needed, wants to do a good job, and in turn would be a partner that would want to give whatever his partner desired. So whether it's them wanting him to take care of them sexually or for them to need other things that involve a different dynamic where he'd be on the receiving end--I think he'd be down for whatever honestly. Imo it makes him happy to please and he shows that with both El and Will in canon. So to me that's an easy one to say! 🙃 I think this generally resonates with readers going for the more dominant version of Mike in regards to Will, but I think there's a lot more to explore there if you sort of wanted to switch things up. I don't think either would really go against his character. And also, I guess----I think that top and bottom really gets misconstrued with dominant and submissive, and they frankly, are two separate things. You can be a top and have submissive tendencies, you can be a bottom and and choke your partner while you're doing it. I mean it's all complicated and so yeah I don't know---I just think that sometimes things get pigeonholed, especially with lgbtq characters. When really, there's just so much to unpack and it can all be good!

No not at all! I mean, people are valid in all of their headcanons of their favorite characters. I personally think for people to have their final opinions of Will will have to wait until season 5 is concluded. BUT yes, I mean---in my personal opinion--Will is a gentler, quieter, and according to an 80s pov is effete in his tendencies. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that and I do tend to disagree with people who have it in their minds that cause he grew muscle mass and shoulders in season 4 that that has somehow changed his personality????

He is very strong in his own quiet way, but yes, he seeks out comfort, he needs that extra love and attention. And that's what Mike offers him. And in turn, his need for that and the way he responds to it is what Mike needs to feel wanted and loved. It's very symbiotic, which is what I noticed starting in season 2 between them, solidified in season 3, and was something that couldn't be ignored in season 4. It's why I started shipping them in the first place! But yeah, of course, as they would grow up and be involved in a relationship with each other the dynamics can ebb and flow and as they get more comfortable with each other and mature they might want to explore new things that would go against their "self-assigned" roles.

Anyways thanks so much! And yeah exploring Mike in a different light and Will in a different light is really just a fun exercise in diving deeper into their psyche, and for me is rewarding as a writer! Of course I have my own personal ideas of canon!Will and canon!Mike but I think the fanfiction versions of these two can be whatever dynamic said writer finds interesting! And it doesn't mean one is less correct than the other.
