Can’t stop thinking about an au where there are two different sets of seven demigods one all Greek and one all Roman because that prophecy was Tricky and the 14 of them must work together on the Argo 2 and there are only 7 bedrooms because Beckendorf (he built the ship he also has Leo’s fire powers) thought there were only going to be 7 kids on the ship so now they have to share rooms two to a room and all the Greeks are entirely demigods that we already know and some came back from the dead through the doors of death like Hazel did (and yes Hazel is part of the Roman 7)

post-canon au where Ethan survived the battle and got amnesty from the gods for switching sides (and because Percy vouched for him). He takes his newfound freedom to immediately cut himself off from the Greek and Roman gods by becoming a Catholic priest, occasionally killing whatever monsters track him down, but doing a decent job at keeping to himself.

Alabaster is still exiled and he probably could go to Ethan's church for sanctuary, but he's furious at him for betraying the army so he has been pointedly avoiding him to his own detriment.

They've been doing great at keeping themselves away from the rest of the divine world until A Situation arises (idk yet, maybe some demons get the idea to work with some greek monsters). Ethan gets asked by his superiors to deal with it because he is literally the only priest they have who knows how to deal with monsters as well as demons. Alabaster also gets asked to help, but by the gods. Different pantheons/religions aren't supposed to be getting involved in each other's business but Al has been exiled from his pantheon's business so he's free to do whatever (maybe the gods say they'll lift his exile or give him something out of the deal).

Anyway, the point is post-divorce grown-up ethabaster being forced into a buddy cop monster/demon-hunting duo. If you look behind you, you'll see that the doors are locked. Welcome to my TED talk-

Doey would get along with the amalgams because he’s just like them

You know what. You have a point. The difference between the amalgams and doey is that what happened to them was an accident, fueled by someone who was trying to save them and bring them back to their families, but with doey it was the exact opposite. Jack was torn away from his family by a freak accident that caused him his life. And playtime.co, naturally, decided to flow with said accident and created the vessel of dough that would soon be Jack’s, along with two others prison.

So really the first thing doey would think upon finding them in the secret labs (after recovering from the ptsd flashbacks of being in a similar place) would quickly start pointing fingers at alpthys, courtesy of Kevin fronting, having already come to the conclusion that the lizard monster had done the same thing that happened to them. While Michael desperately tries to talk him down, trying to think of an explanation as to why the amalgams ended up that way, whilst trying to hide the fact that he’s scared, they’re all scared, including Jack, who at this point was terrified of becoming just another experiment again.

It takes some time, and a lot of yelling from both sides (alphys just trying to explain while Kevin just wanted to be angry) but doey eventually settles down enough so that alphys can explain. About how the monsters had been on death row, and would have died if she hadn’t done anything, and admits to them that she had hated herself for what happened, and it’s only after she brought herself to tell everyone what she did that she eventually felt better about it all. And by the end of it, all three are shocked, and in the end doey apologizes to her, and the two continue to be close friends.

Something about the fact that the Winchesters never really acknowledge the fact that this might be hard for Castiel. Not even in the physical all angels are continuously brainwashed to never question authority level but just on the level that the angels were his family. And hey it might have just been a little bit hard to have my whole world view upended and now I’ve killed my family in droves all for you but you don’t even care that it might have been just the tiniest bit hard for me. Just as long as you don’t gave to kill your little brother right?

What’s even worse is that the narrative bends over backwards to justify it. Like why should the Winchesters care that these are essentially Cas’ siblings when they are objectively evil? The angels used to be complicated with frustrating and contradictory motivations now if you’re not Cas or Lucifer or haven’t magically completely escaped centuries of brainwashing and devotion and family then fuck you I guess and even when you do fuck you still cause your name isn’t Sam or Dean Winchester

Even fucking Michael, objectively the most brainwashed of all, like I know Michael’s not squeaky clean but come on the Winchesters and Cas have done so much worse to earth and heaven, than Michael ever managed too. They literally have no higher ground. But yet their whoooooole plan revolves around Michael going back to his father and it’s this big gotcha moment and not two traumatized adults exploiting the very real traumatic devotion maintained by years of abuse in a moment where Michael literally had the only other source of stability he had for years snatched away from him and it was looking like his only options where to spend eternity in the company of those two clowns. You do this after he literally already helped you and just fought his brother for you? you don’t even try to come up with another plan? Honestly, It just feels malicious. As if Dean can’t understand running back to your father when every other sense of stability has been taken away from you.

Supernatural has shown over and over again that family is only important to Dean and Sam when it’s their family. Because fuck anyone else that tries to pull the same bullshit for their family you’re objectively wrong and Winchesters have the moral high ground and the right to stop/kill you. they are only ever called on this twice in 15 seasons. But come on not even fucking Cas? Cas?
