Quackity's a workaholic.

He would spend nights working instead of sleeping, but eventually, when Las Nevadas was developed enough to mostly run itself, that it isn't just work. He could never truly sleep, never wanted to fall asleep, scared of his own mind when not focused on something, only sometimes pushing himself to rest through alcohol or pure exhaustion.

Wilbur on the other hand never had issues falling asleep. It came to him naturally, or maybe it was the constant exhaustion (especially after revival). He could never really sleep though. He would fall asleep, but not rest, half conscious most of the time, or experiencing terrible nightmares and waking up in the middle of the night.

Inspired by your recent art, Quackity would sometimes just stare at sleeping Wilbur. But, Wilbur would often stare at sleeping Quackity in the morning, admiring his lover when he's all soft and calm, and thinking of ways to surprise him with something nice when he wakes up. Maybe he should make him breakfast.

Ok so I love this cause I absolutely adore the "opposites attract" HCs with Q but it'd always be like "well they both definitely have sleep issues" but this is a way to have both and like that's a major slay

Three little hcs regarding their sleeping habits: 1. they both have a tendency to wake up when the other does, just automatically - they're just synchronised (most of the time at least one of them falls right back asleep tho); 2. Wilbur's weak sleep is significantly worse when Quackity's still working - like, he will finally come to bed and Wil's asleep but then Q sits down on the bed (quietly as fuck) and Wilbur's like "hey"; 3. they switch around their sleeping positions, but Wilbur absolutely loves being the small spoon - partly cause he's always cold, but mainly cause he wasn't held enough as a kid/hj

Aaaand in the spirit of the ask, a little headcanon that's tied up with this (plus more at the end):

Common one, but I'll elaborate - Quackity's warm, Wilbur's cold. So, of course Wilbur's cold after revival cause his body's kinda fucked up and all that. Quackity - for a normal human (or a normal animal hybrid I guess idk works with duck too) consistently has a pretty high body temperature. He prefers sleeping mostly undressed (maybe with shorts on but that's not a guarantee/lh), he usually has to unbutton his shirt a bit lower than standard (I mean he's also a whore but it's a 2 in 1 y'know), etc etc.

Now, with Schlatt that resulted in limited cuddling even in the honeymoon phase cause the other also had a higher body temperature, and they'd just end up sweaty and uncomfortable.

With Eret the relationship started with a generic, platonic, positive message ("you matter ♡ -Eret" which they gave out to people in general just as a nice gesture, but nothing romantic) and ended with Q alone at the altar, so it's probably safe to say that didn't really come up.

With Karl and Sapnap though his body temperature was both too much, and not enough - Sapnap, as a demon hybrid, was much warmer, so with him cuddling wasn't really the most comfortable long-term, and while Karl was slightly on the colder side, Quackity wasn't as warm as Sapnap, so Karl would mostly cling to the latter. They'd try to make it all "even", but the emotional and physical distance was still noticeable.

And then there's Wilbur.

In pogtopia they didn't really cuddle much, but whenever they touched shoulders or leaned against each other Quackity noticed that Wilbur would frequently lean in for just a second longer than normal. This came back 10x stronger after revival. With a lot of Wilbur's nerves and blood vessels fucked up, he's pretty cold most of the time. The first time they cuddle he absolutely sinks into the embrace, making a comment about how nicely warm the other is. Quackity doesn't expect it to hit him as hard as it does. He giggles, slightly flustered, and dismisses it as Wilbur just being colder. From then on it repeats, and soon enough Quackity returns the favour by unintentionally hitting Wilbur with something along the lines of "you're like, the perfect temperature". See, Wilbur's always been on the colder side. He'd hear comments about how cold his hands were - not to even mention post revival - and he never really thought much of it, until Quackity's comment just hit him like a ton of bricks, and he just felt so perfectly in place in Q's arms. They just form the perfect temperature equilibrium; not too warm, not too cold - just perfect.

Little bonus: Quackity starts occasionally taking a jacket or sth with him even though he doesn't need it but he knows Wilbur will probably get cold (and need a second jacket).

Another little bonus that connects this HC to a different one about Quackity having sensory issues. VERY tldr is that sometimes he just gets this intense physical discomfort in his limbs (AuADHD moment), and only way to lessen it is intense stretching, OOOORR using Wilbur as his personal ice bag. There'll be nights where Wilbur will try to move his foot cause "it's probably too cold and bothering Q" just for Quackity to "scold" him for moving it cause it was pressing perfectly into his calf and keeping him from losing his mind cause of sensory issues.

Also they both have food sensitivities, but Q's are more broad, and sometimes they'll spend hours arguing(/lovingly) over what to get on pizza, or when they go to a new food place sometimes Wilbur will just look at Quackity who's staring at the idk olives he accidentally ordered in his food (cause he didn't know the dish contained them) and he will just silently slide over his plate so that his boyfriend can peacefully pick all of them out and give them to Wilbur. When Wilbur encounters food sensitivities - say, in a restaurant - Quackity will go full Karen mode and make sure his boyfriend gets only the food he wants.

Continuing the topic of mental health, sometimes Wilbur will struggle with hygiene during depressive episodes, to which Quackity will either motivate him with showering together(/nsx), a shared bath, if he's doing worse, or in the worst case scenario he'll help him clean himself up with a damp cloth (no judgement, no comments even, just love and support)

UNDERTALE ASK BLOG - PRESENTATION

Hello! I’m Myfanwi, 27 years old and adoptive parent of two chinchillas, Thor and Mjöllnir. I have ADHD and I'm currently struggling to have my autism diagnosis.

I’m a French writer (she/they, I don’t care), so my English might be weird sometimes, but I’ll do my best. I’m currently looking for a job in France, and failing it a lot.

I started this blog on February 3rd 2021, and we're still here and active. I'm taking Undertale (canon and AU) headcanon requests from people and answering them with my characters.

The askbox is always open so don't hesitate to participate!

1 - You can ask whatever you want, except heavy sexual things. If I'm not comfortable with an ask, I will say it. You can send as many asks as you want. The askbox is always open, I don't close it.

2 - I’m ok with angst and touchy subjects. I’m also very very LGBT+ friendly (I’m aroace and enby btw).

3 - I don’t do match-ups except during some rare events. I don't do RP interactions (= answering people asking things to the characters directly), only headcanons (= writing things ABOUT the characters).

Brendan Headcanons

This all started because I wanted to play around with shipping Steven with the male protag (because Steven is gay af and I like Brendan's funky hat). Most of his personality I've been making up as I go, so while I do have some traits locked in, I may still add or change things. I basically went to Build-A-PKMN-Protag, grabbed the ORAS boy design, and stuffed him with a decent amount of Ruby, a little bit of Pokemas Brendan, and a lot of projection. And (guided by my shipping and trope preferences) I've been gradually molding him into shape by putting him in Situations.

If you want to see what I've come up with, here are a bunch of headcanons for my version of Brendan below the cut. (I might add to this later when I think of more headcanons)

I'm honestly still pinning down his personality, but so far I've decided that he's energetic, friendly, mostly well-mannered, and just a bit awkward. He's patient and cautious, which helps him stay out of trouble. However, he is also a highly curious person and has teenage boy brain, so he is not immune to bad decisions and silly hijinks. He is easily embarrassed. He is the type of person that is quick to fight for others, but hesitates to fight for himself.

He moved to Hoenn and left home to travel at 17. His journey mostly follows the same one as the player character in Alpha Sapphire with some additions and adjustments here and there.

He quickly became good friends with May after moving in next door to her. They do fieldwork and camp out together whenever they cross paths on their travels (which is often).

He's 5'6" (168 cm)

He's bisexual with a slight preference for men.

His main Pokemon team for his gym challenge and contests consisted of (in the order he acquired them) Delcatty(♂), Sceptile(♀), Torkoal(♀), Lunatone, Flygon(♀), and Sharpedo(♀). Their respective contest categories are cuteness, coolness, toughness, cleverness, and beauty. Sharpedo doesn't compete in contests; all she knows is bite and go zoom in water. Some other Pokemon he incorporates into his team later are Feraligatr, Ninetails, Ampharos, and Metagross.

Brendan's parents gave him Skitty as a gift when he turned 11. His dad wanted to give him a Pokemon to encourage him to become a trainer, but his mom chose the Pokemon. Norman would've preferred a tougher Pokemon.

He mostly enjoys being a trainer and battling with his Pokemon, and he's proficient at it, but he dislikes the constant pressure from his dad to put all of his focus on battling.

I liked Norman's characterization in the manga, so I decided to take it and make him worse. He's strict about adhering to traditional gender roles and comes down hard on Brendan (verbally and physically) when he shows any interest in typically feminine things. (Sorry. Gotta give Brendan some trauma.)

As a result of Norman's abuse, Brendan is a repressed little gay guy who's afraid to wear cute things or participate in contests. He starts to work through this after being scouted by Lisia and getting closer to Steven and Wallace.

Brendan and his mom were both huge fans of contest coordinator Wallace. However, young teen Brendan would deny it and argue that he was just "spending time with his mom" when he would secretly watch the contests on TV with her while Norman was away.

He's afraid of heights. (I thought this would make the Latios date with Steven really funny)

He dislikes excessive violence.

He prefers sweet and spicy flavors. His favorite berries are cheri, mago, and liechi berries.

He initially wears the special contest outfit that Lisia gave him, but when he goes to Petalburg Gym for his 5th badge, Norman confronts him about the contests and destroys the outfit.

When Brendan arrives in Lilycove, Steven and Wallace surprise him with 5 new contest outfits custom-made to match each of his contest pokemon.

This maybe from a while back but for the Old Ford kidnapping lil Shermie and Shrimpy Stan, wouldn’t that just traumatize Stan because Ford looks like Filbrick?

And a guy that looks like his dad that he killed, stalking him and Shermie?

Selfish Shellfish AU - Masterpost

At least I think it's referring to Emilien's drabble HERE about the Shrimp getting kidnapped by an older Ford, where the Shellfish!Shermie and his Stan make a cameo.

Well, I shall leave the answer to that version to Emilien and will give you a completely different version that you definitely didn't ask for, under the cut :)

Everyone knew, Stanford Pines was the best in his field.

Need a person found? A murder to be solved? A mystery to be uncovered? Stanford Pines was your man. He was the type of guy you’d only see in movies or trashy novels; a genius master detective beyond compare.

They said there has never been a case he hasn’t solved or a person he hasn’t been able to track down, but that was a load of horse shit.

Ford cursed as he stomped through the thick forest holding his bleeding wrist. The spell needed a constant stream of fresh blood from the person you were looking for, which made it particularly useless in normal circumstances.

But these weren't normal circumstances and Ford was desperate. It’s been thirty years since he solved his fathers murder. Thirty two since he last saw his brothers. 

Their disappearance has led Ford onto the path of becoming a private investigator and yet it has been the only case he has never been able to solve.

Another branch hit Ford's forehead and he groaned. This spell was a bust as well. He has been following it for weeks now, constantly bleeding out and refilling his blood supply in hope the red thread that's being created would finally lead him to his twin.

There was no doubt in Ford's mind that he was unwelcome in Stan’s life, not after how he had selfishly abandoned him with an abusive father and refused to see the signs. Because of him, because of them, Stan had been pushed to the brink and was forced to kill in order to survive.

Still, Ford needed to apologize. He needed Stan to know that they did care and that they did love him even though they failed him terribly.

And he needed to deliver the last letters Grauntie Mabel and Grunkle Dipper wrote him. Pages upon pages of unsaid apologies, packed away in tear stained envelopes.

Their family fell apart after Stan and Shermie's disappearance and they never recovered. The rift between Mabel and Dipper that had never been fully healed, just messily stapled together by a woman desperate to change everything about herself to be loved again, had reopened and nothing Ford had tried had been enough to fix it.

In the end Ford grew up in a house filled with deafening silence and regret and it was still more than he deserved. It was nothing compared to what his brothers went through.

Ford sighed and wiped away his tears. Crying never brought his brother back. It was an indulgence better suited for birthdays and especially bad nights.

He turned around, ready to call it quits and return home when he suddenly felt a twinge on his wrist. The bloody string tightened and pulled him deeper into the forest, past thick trees and thorny bushes and right into an abandoned clearing where it turned into droplets of blood. The spell broke after fulfilling its purpose, but Ford barely noticed it. His eyes focused on a red withered car in the middle of the clearing.

Stanley must be inside.

Ford tried to speak and make himself known, but all words escaped him. He took a step forward and felt blood running down his arm as his heart started to run a marathon. He felt faint. 

What would Stan be doing here in the middle of nowhere inside a broken car?

Ford tried to smile. Maybe it was just a secret hideout like they had as children. If Stan would give him another chance, they could buy a boat or build one from scratch and sail away from here, far far away to a place without cars with windows made out of plastic wrap and blood dripping down  the floor.

Ford took a shaky step forward. And another. The world tilted and he crashed against the car, one hand ripping the plastic wrap on the back window apart.

A couple of minutes passed before Ford finally caught his breath and looked inside.

There they were. His brothers, all cuddled up on the backseat in a nest of pillows. Ford saw it clearly. Stan was telling Shermie fantastical stories of their adventures. Ford was jealous he missed it.

He smiled.

“There you are. I’ve been worried sick looking for you.”

The skeletal remains of his brothers stare blankly back at him.

Ford gripped the edge of the window, ignoring the sting of broken glass ripping into his flesh and opened the door.

“Right. Right. Okay. Let’s get you out of here first. It’s getting cold.”

With shaking hands Ford reached out to bring them home. The moment he touched his little brother’s body, a shiver ran down his spine and his breath began to fog.

An invisible force crashed into him and pushed him out of the car and to the edge of the clearing. The wind picked up and dark clouds filled the sky as a blurry figure positioned itself between Ford and the car.

“I SAID DON’T TOUCH HIM, PA!”, It howled through the forest and Ford's brain, which has been moving in slow motion since the moment he entered the clearing, went into overdrive.

Behind the figure, Ford made out another tiny blob peaking through the car window. 

Ford grinned, then laughed as he pushed himself up. He still felt lightheaded but everything was so much clearer now. This was good. Fantastic. His brothers' souls were still around.

That meant he could fix it.

“Heh, you still pack quite the punch.” Ford laughed as the figure got ready for round two.
