The Hazbin fandom is consisted of the worst of both worlds from what I’ve seen: Bootlicking fans who can’t accept criticism and haters who act like Viv’s creations are the worst thing to happen since 911 or something like that.

Sometimes, I wish most shows were like the DP and TGAMM fandoms. Quiet and passionate at the same time.

i mean...you kinda just described most decently-sized fandoms. there's people at either end of the love-hate spectrum, as well as a wealth of opinions and takes in-between.

also idk, i'm admittedly a little wary of the whole "omg these bootlickers can't accept ANY critique of their shitty show!" perspective because quite frankly, so much critique of hh/hb comes from a place of bad faith. it comes from people who hate it on principle and will never change their stance, so like...why even bother engaging in an honest discussion if the other side of it won't actually hear and fairly consider your perspective, either.

most of the fans i keep up with are able to acknowledge hh/hb have numerous flaws. they engage thoughtfully with the source material. just because they still come out the other side liking it, or disagree with some criticisms of it doesn't mean they aren't thinking critically. it means they've simply come to different conclusions.

i don't have to trash or belittle a thing that i enjoy, and the older i get the more i realize i'd rather spend my energy cultivating what gives me joy than fixating on the things that irk or upset me. i like hazbin. i like helluva. i think they're fun shows. and god knows it's so fuckin' nice seeing adult animation that's trying something other than "stiffly animated family guy/rick and morty clone". i'm hoping it inspires more weird, off-the-wall independent stuff over the coming years, because i think the industry could use a bit of a shake-up.

If I'm understanding right, "canon" would mean like. dating. And they ain't dating? Two seasons in and these two characters are not in a romantic relationship. In a sexual one, sure, but if "canon = currently together (romantically) in the source material" then they are not canon. They are (were) in a sexual relationship. There is a difference

Things Helluva Boss fans need to except:

1. Stolas and Blitzo meeting as children was not a recon

2. Stella being abusive was not a recon

3. Stolas never raped Blitzo or coerce him into making the deal with him

4. The deal between Blitzo and Stolas was consensual

5. Stolas was never ment to be evil after the pilot

6. Moxxie growing up with a mafia family in the greed ring was not a recon

7. Unhappy Campers was not a “Moxxie episode” nor a “Millie episode” it was an episode about both of them

8. Not all the female characters are “one note” and some of them actually have depth

9. Vivzepop doesn’t hate her female characters

10. Ozzie and Fizz being “good people” and not antagonists was not a recon

11. Ozzie and Fizz’s relationship dose not fetishize gay men

12. Blitzo and Stolas are both equally in the wrong

13. The show is not trying to make Stolas “the victim”

14. Vivziepop had said herself multiple times that Blitzo and Stolas are both in the wrong and that they both have flaws

15. The show is not trying to demonize Blitzo to make Stolas look better

16. Apology Tour is not trying to “victim blame” Blitzo, the whole point of that episode was to point out Blitzo own flaws, he’s not a good person

17. Stolas being a hypocrite was purely intentional by the writers, it’s ment to be a character flaw

18. Verosika is suppose to be spiteful towards Blitzo, he was incredibly toxic towards her while they were dating

19. Blitzo was a toxic boyfriend to Verosika and everyone else he has dated in the past

20. The ONLY reason Veroiska wanted to keep hosting the anti-blitzo parties was because she wanted other people to seek comfort in each other for what Blitzo put them through

21. Ghostf**kers was not a “Blitzo’s episode” in Millie’s prospective

22. Millie actually has depth to her character now

23. Mastermind is not a bad episode

24. Andrealphus is not attracted to Stella, he’s canonically gay

25. Mammon only cares about himself and doesn’t care about Leviathan at all, he’s trying to manipulate her by flirting with her, just because he’s asexual doesn’t mean that he’s being genuine with her

26. Stolas dose receive consequences for his actions, he literally lost everything and was going to be homeless for the next 100 years until Blitzo took him in

27. Stolas and Stella are not good parents but Stella is objectively worse

28. Stolas does feel guilty for making the deal with Blitzo

29. Octavia is not in the wrong

30. The “Karan” client is not a good person and you shouldn’t be sympathizing with her

31. Blitzo choosing to spare the couple on Christmas was not because they were a gay couple

32. Millie being pregnant did not “ruin” her character

33. Glitz and Glam are not incestuous

34. Fizzarolli is not real, he can’t actually be exploited

35. The Fizzarolli body pillow was ment to be a joke, it’s not trying to promote/exploit off of his abuse

36. Mrs. Mayberry is canonically lesbian, it doesn’t matter that she married a man in her past life, she’s allowed to change her preferences

I've got an au for you! I'm at work at the moment, so I'm sorry if this is all over the place lol

We're over the drama and moving on lol

So this is an official ask about our new fluffydemon!Adam au! My names literally suck so please change it if you think of something better. It's so early where I am, my brain is lowkey fried- but I'm trying 💀

So, it takes place after Adam dies in episode 8 (I think that's the last episode?) And he respawns in Hell, but in another Ring. I've never seen Halluva Boss, so I'm not sure which Ring would be better? Lust, Greed or Wrath? Maybe Lust? Or Wrath. Adam as pretty angry for a while (not that it matters to the story 🤷).

I don't know if Helluva or Hazbin have actually shown demons in an episode? I personally wouldn't count sinners as demons, even though I've heard them be referred to as demons. But for this, demons aren't really a thing, so Adam would be the first Demon.

He's not technically Hellborn. He can't die of old age like a Hellborn, but if he gets hurt and dies, he will come back after regenerating, like a sinner.

So, I guess you could say he's a mixture of Hellborn and sinner, and because of that, he can travel between Rings.

He's definitely made a name for himself in Lust and Greed (I know there's other Rings, I just don't have any ideas for them? If you do, please add them in! It'll be super interesting!)

His first big thing was being a singer/ performer in Greed, doing some shows for Mammon, where he got extremely popular. He even started doing some work for Ozzy- we both know what type of work 👀

I'm thinking where our rp picks up with be 10-15 years after he died in Hell, so you know, a good chunk of time. Adam is really popular in a few different Rings, but this'll be his first time back in Pride.

He's doing sex work for his manager back in Lust, who got him a temporary contract with Val- it's only ment to be six months but Val being Val basically manipulates Adam, and makes him dependent on him. So he actually manages to get Adam into a full contract.

I'm adding bits of another au I've told you about, just because their basically the same thing. So this one will be merging with the fliffywhore!au- where Adam is basically like Angel Dust. So, I'll attach some screenshots of my ask to help the story along (and to stop my thumb from cramping 💀)

Now, I'm a tad suspicious as to why my screenshots where so recent in my gallery so I have a feeling I might have already sent them to you? Actually, now that I'm really thinking about it, I sent this to you not long ago... well. My memory is completely shot 💀

Adam looked at the contract carefully, he knew people were shady and would word things very carefully to get exactly what they want.

Adam: Only six more months?

Val: Yes! I promise you'll do great you already have.~

Adam wrinkled his nose, this guy was gross but he paid well. He signed his name in the contract.

I'll probably just go on a rant after starting with this topic, but Helluva Boss really failed at showing us that Stolas doesn't look down on Imps. Or that he doesn't treat Blitzø as an exception, while not caring for Imps as a whole and the struggles they face. The only Imps/other lower-class Hellborns we see Stolas interact with are ones he:

-dislikes and shoves in Blitzø's face to make him feel guilty (Striker)

-abuses physically (his Butler)

-is indifferent to because they're on his side with being mad at Blitzø (Verosika, Tex)

-gets something out of (Blitzø, the guy at Verosikas party)

-ignores (Millie, Moxxie, Loona)

He gives Imps nicknames like: "little ones", uses the word "impish" as if Blitzø being an Imp implies anything about his behaviour (specifically his behaviour in bed). He tells Blitzø that his "friend", Striker tried to kill him, which either means that he believes every Imp knows/is friends with eachother or, that he said that to make Blitzø feel like he and Striker are like-minded (basically putting someone who was reasonably mad at him and tried to discuss their issues on the same side as someone who tried to assassinated him twice), which is manipulative as hell. He also ignores the fact that Blitzø couldn't come to save him because he had to take his daughter to the doctor (as if Loonas safety is less important than his, even though Blitzø has more of a reason to care for Loona than for him) and, that he sent Millie and Moxxie to save him (without them he literally wouldn't have survived). Stolas ignored Millie and Moxxie helping him in "LooLoo Land" as well, he only asked where Blitzø is because he is his "knight in shining armour", because he gets something out of him, which means he can just ignore the other Imps, who have no obligation/interest to sleep with him. Stolas being rich is never something he uses for the greater good. He could easily help Blitzø and his employees out financially, though I get that that might not be something Blitzø would want. But other than that as well, him seemingly having authority as royalty is completely useless. He only gets recognized in public when it's plot convenient (he has assassins trying to kill him as soon as he leaves the house in "LooLoo Land" and "Harvest Moon Festival", but going to a party with atleast 50 people or so is completely fine and no one seems to recognize him). We don't really see any of the duties he has as royalty. Apart from organizing the Harvest Moon festival, there really seems to be nothing he does (unless i'm forgetting something). The fact that he has to repress his sexuality also feels a little less impactful when you remember that Andrealphus and Vasago are also Gay. Though I guess we don't really know the connection they'll have to the story yet. The fact that he is super wealthy isn't really brought to focus either. He lives in a mansion and wears fancier clothes than the Imps, but that's just sorta it. Him being royal just makes the power imbalance much more apparent. Something that (from how I see it) was done intentionally, because Blitzø and Stolas were never ment to be endgame from the very start. At first it seems like Stolas is mostly just a running gag character, who got some depth in "LooLoo Land" but was never ment to be that important to Blitzø's story. He was more of a device that the I.M.P need to keep save, not because they actually cared for him (as he doesn't really care for them either), but because he is the only way they'll get to the human world. Characters that seemed like they'd be much more important to Blitzø's personal journey were:

-Moxxie (who probably gets used the best out of pretty much every character in HB, atleast in his relationship with Blitzø. Though they also didn't have real interactions for a while now)

-Loona (who hasn't changed her abusive behaviour towards him, because the show fails to give her meaningful screentime with Blitzø)

-Millie (who sorta has no real relationship to Blitzø aside from not really being dismissive of his actions. Though the Ghost episode might focus on how they met, etc.)

-Verosika (who they could've gotten more out of with the actually interesting relation she has to Blitzø, with a seemingly genuine and happy relationship they had, had they not sidelined her for the other, more uninteresting ship)

-Fizzarolli (who is utilized pretty well, though he and Blitzø got over their issues really fast and now they're just best buddies again with no complications and interesting moments whatsoever)

-Barbie Wire (Ya know, his sister who literally got nothing at all in terms of screentime, even though she should arguably be one of, if not the most important relationship Blitzø would need to be confronted with)

-Striker (who, from my understanding presented not only a threat to Stolas, but also a possible temptation for Blitzø to go against the system they live in. It was clear that he and Blitzø shared atleast some common ground, judging by the fact that he nearly became a new member of I.M.P because Blitzø liked him. They had chemistry and what Striker says about the system of hell is true and seemed like it would present a new option for Blitzø. A way to break free from oppression, which he might have never considered but is considering now that someone gave him a chance for things to change. But Striker got turned into a villian who completely lost the connection he shared with Blitzø. To become just another way the show could coddle Stolas by saying: "Oh no, Striker is saying that the upper class takes advantage of the lower classes?! But Stolas would never look down on Blitzø! He must be really aggressive and also, he was just hired by the evil Stella who wants Stolas dead for no good reason! So let's just ignore all the good reasons Striker has for wanting Stolas dead one way or another! Striker doesn't know what he's talking about, he was only an Imp suppressed by the upper class his whole life, how would he know what's best for Imp's?! Afterall Stolas is in love with Blitzø for real!!! That means that there is no problem with the royalty whatsoever and Striker and anyone like him should just shut up and stop complaining UwU..." <- definitely exaggerated)

Some of these characters got dropped in order to make space for more screentime for Stolas, who is now considered the most important relationship for Blitzøs development, even though he should most definitely heal in other places, with other people before immediately deciding wether he wants to be in a romantic and sexual relationship or not. Blitzø has lots of issues and hurt a lot of people, there should be a lot of room to explore these relationships and to make Blitzø heal by sorting out his stuff, but the one he has with Stolas is not the one they should focus on first and foremost. If the way they've been writing Stolas for season two isn't going to change for the better, then I think he should've just stayed as an edgy joke. Atleast then he would've added context to the Imp's lower class status without taking away screentime from them and leaving way more interesting characters to be ingnored.

Spindlehorse making the decision to paywall helluva boss is kinda stupid, even if Amazon paid a load upfront they still don't know how things will play out. Making viewers wait a month to watch on YouTube will just make people pirate it, a lot of the audience are kids who will have the choice of harrass their parents to get prime or just find a site on their phone which they're probably chronically on and probably use to watch the show on anyway, which goes for most of the audience in general.

The choice to sell out is only a good idea if helluva boss never ment anything to spindlehorse in the first place.
