Stolas made a lot of mistakes, ofc. Who doesn’t? Especially when your whole life has been nothing but isolation, pain, and keeping up appearances. But beyond his mistakes, he loves so deeply and tries so hard.

Personally, my parents never loved me. In fact, they just can't love at all. I was just a little toy and a sort of punching bag to those pieces of shit. Anyway.

When I see Stolas with Via, it really hits me. I understand Via's pain so much, that's not the point. It's just so hard to watch.

That sincere and deep love is so beautiful. And right now, it's just a stupid chaos of misunderstandings and ofc, it fucking hurts.

Obviously, they're going to reconcile, but for now, it’s just terribly sad for both of them.

But to me, it’s also the beginning of honest communication, and that’s important and beautiful too. Breaking to rebuild is painful and terrifying, but sometimes it's necessary.

Just saying, if you're picking sides between Stolas and Via, you clearly missed the point of the show (and of human relationships). Same goes for Stolitz, ofc. Sorry not sorry.

From someone who's Dad has barely been in their life and mostly out of forced obligation from the courts,

Stolas Is not even remotely a bad dad.

Besides not paying as much attention to her as he could have been during all the ensuing chaos (which, there was a lot of chaos) and not getting Via out of an abusers house (which I also don't blame him for as he was a victim that didn't think even himself could leave). Those are the only things I think he's ever done. Besides those, he's been a pretty fucking good Dad.

And he'll continue to be one if he continues to fight for her.

Don't even start with the whole, "he was half naked around his daughter' thing cause there are PLENTY of dads that walk around the house in their fucking boxers and no one bats a fucking eye.

Weirdly enough I’ve personally seen NO ONE talk about the ABSOLUTELY AMAZING SONG THAT OCTAVIA SANG???

Like the parallel to “you’ll be okay” is so perfect. I was waiting for a reprise to come up in Helluva Boss.

Also the lyrics?? “My tears won’t fall upon your shoulder, I’ll just get older and you’ll only know my name”??? Like

Stolas’ story aside and ONLY looking at Octavia, she is so mature and so strong for that. She knows her worth and she said “you will value me or you will not know me at all.”

And the fact that she can admit that “I’ll be okay though I’m not okay today” is so important for kids to understand. Not one thing will completely ruin your life, you are not your parents, you WILL get older and it WILL be okay.

I just can’t stop listening to it. It’s personally my new favorite song in the series- it’s so emotional and real and beautiful. I love Octavia and I will not tolerate Octavia slander
