fucking hate the 'oh a hero would sacrifice his love to destroy the world but a villain would destroy the world for you' fuck that and fuck you im not the only person deserving of kindness!! the world is more than me and my super partner there's couples just like me and them and they're having children and there's kids and there's grandparents baking food and there's discoveries being made!!! and what all of them should just die because ohh the villain loves me more then them??? big fucking whoop the world is beautiful and if one person aka me has to be sacrificed to save the billions of ppl then im chill with that!!! what's the point of living in a destroyed world with a supervillain and there's nobody left??? the hero is not an asshole for saving the world!!!

As the Hero of Friendship, I have to save the day from villains at any cost! Sometimes that involves them taking their anger out on me so they can be good again, but that’s ok! I’m strong, and I can take it! I do wish they’d use a different part of my body instead of my butt though…

Hero's code of conduct, explained by a vigilante

tips/advice for superhero sources, au's or conceptkins. Self-indulgent and requested by no-one. I might be a vigilante and not a hero in canon, but I know good rules when I see them.

Keep an eye on the city.

Seems like a big task, right? Surprisingly, it isn't. Going for a walk, stroll or mosey about of some kind each day and giving a good look around is a splendid way of keeping the streets safe.

Public image is important.

Your public image is arguably more important than the heroics of being a hero. Make sure to visit cafes, libraries, independent shops and communal events, either as a civilian or as your hero persona. A good connection to your local community is important.

See something? Say something.

You heroes have a reckless habit of deciding you can just butt in and stop crime whenever, wherever. Sorry to burst your bubble, but this could get you and the victims hurt! Instead, if you see something you should call for additional help from the authorities, 999 and 911 are your best friends here. If you can safely do so, try and get the victim and yourself away from the danger. Your first priority is saving the civilian, not fighting the villain.

Suits and costumes

No capes. Seems like a joke, but I'm being serious. Capes on a costume are easy to grab, snag and backfire. Theyre an easy way to get stuck or get in more trouble than you bargained for. A good costume is comfortable, cape-less, iconic and most of all- functional. If it's too tight, it's not functional. If you feel uncomfortable in it, it's not functional. If it hurts in any places, it's not functional. And if you don't like the way it looks, it's functional but it should be illegal. You have to like and feel comfortable in your suit for it to be anything, if you dont, then you better fix it.

Pockets are mandatory. (not joking)

Routine

You're expecting me to say something like schedule things or work out, right? Wrong. What keeps heroes on their feet is good damn food. Make sure you eat on time, don't skip anything. If you're hungry, eat, don't chicken out for any reason. One of the worst things you can do is restrict your diet, including restricting snacks. Instead of restricting you should be adding on to what you already eat. Things like avocado, eggs, carbs like pasta and potato, fish and most meats are gonna be your best friends forever! Sugars are good for energy, so on-hand snacks are a good for when you're on the go.

hello everyone. i'm heroposting again.

i've faced a lot of cruelty during my time on this planet. there are some incidents i replay in my mind often, others have been forgotten. in my attempts to cultivate a kind and safe environment for myself and the people around me, i've been faced with the unavoidable fact that some just don't want a nicer world. it doesn't suit their needs or desires. it would require them to change their behavior; they wouldn't be able to exploit others, lie or cheat their way into power, or revel in emotionally and physically hurting others.

it's easier to attempt to bully those who want things to be better into giving up on their dreams and smashing their lives to pieces. i watch this happen to others and it has happened to me. moments of trauma are wielded as weapons to force your compliance into a brutal system that wants you to let go of your love at all costs. i've taken the hero's journey for granted, i think. i thought it was easy to be good. but often, there's a price for not prioritizing your own ambitions. that price is ridicule and humiliation. we're taught not to intervene in matters that are not our own, that it's better not to speak of it or rush to save other people. both in my past lives and now, i've faced the consequences of standing up for myself and for people who deserve it. often, the result is a cruel punishment that they convince you and others that you deserve. i'm thinking of ti guan ci fu as a good example of this.

despite all of the intimidation, my body and mind exhausted from their tactics and wanting to give up, i pick myself up eventually. it's worth it. it's so worth it for me. the small moments of peace and joy that i can give to others make all of those moments worth it. i used to be miserable, i felt useless. now that i can create tangible beauty around me through kind acts, i'm much more satisfied with myself.

fucked up in the club again about hero bc like. that was literally me. you come home from college and things don’t fit anymore. and you’ve been glad to be out of this house, out of this town- and now you’re back where you started. and everyone here has known you since you were a kid. maybe you still are a kid, but you haven’t been that kid in a long time. and maybe being home should be a relief but instead it’s suffocating, because the person everyone sees you as, that everyone expects you to be, isn’t you anymore. and you have to go with it because they’re just so excited to have you back. and you should be happy to be home again and see your family again- and there’s a part of you that is!- but you just feel trapped and you want to leave. but where would you go? this is home. and then you see how your family, your friends, have changed and grown and struggled without you there, and you are still suffocating but you also feel guilty for leaving in the first place when you could’ve been there, could’ve helped lighten their burdens instead of bringing home new ones.

in a totally healthy and normal and well adjusted way of course 👍
