five times cried [1859 Cloud Can Stir Up Storm]
Tumblr media
send me five times cried for a drabble on five times my muse has cried over yours!- no longer accepting!
Tumblr media
Hibari wasn't usually one to cry much, but when he did it was over Gokudera. It had been almost half a year since they'd even seen or heard from Gokudera. A bad break up and sudden disappearance told him something was wrong. He cried that night before leaving, Hibari had a bad feeling. The next time he cried was in relief. Gokudera had been located and was alive. He shouldn't have to worry now. But that wasn't the case, he was still worried when he saw the condition their Storm was in. He couldn't blame him though break ups can change someone. The third time Hibari cried was after another fight. He'd been mistaken and pushed the wrong buttons, he didn't mean to make Gokudera mad, but he wanted to be certain there would be no issues with his ex, an ex Gokudera had already moved on from. The fourth time he cried was for Gokudera, hearing about the past he went through, Hibari made it his mission to protect him always from then on. The final time he cried was when an order came in from Tsuna himself. Gokudera wanted his freedom from a family that had tortured and abused him, Hibari's next mission was to destroy them and retrieve a set of documents that would mean he was finally safe and free to start a life with him.

'small things' for Yamamoto <3
[Original] ||Accepting|| @ukigumos From a meme tag in my other blog
Readmore, because it got long (~18k) when I went through canon source, because there isn't too much content for me to go through in threads (yet).
When thinking about Hibari, you mostly think about his grouchy cat-like temperament, but there are sides to him that make him an interesting person to figure out. Sure, he’s got a temper and sure he seems uncaring at first, but that’s not necessarily true- if you know where to look. Each person has various facets to them, ‘duality’ if you will.
There were some memories that Yamamoto had of Hibari that could give others some insights into the otherwise ‘fightophile’ skylark that everyone feared (for good reason).
To begin with, the time when the Ring battle between Vongola 10 and the Varia were going on, Hibari had left some lasting impressions on Yamamoto. What sorts of impressions you ask? Haha! Alright, alright, he’ll tell you.
During his battle with the Gola Mosca, anyone could tell just how formidable it… no, he was? Man, the arena sure looked intimidating. There were gatling guns around the perimeter that would shoot any moving object it sees within 30m radius, pressure sensitive mines buried underground, and the walls were entirely covered in barbed wire.
Hibari, named the strongest of the guardians, is their ace. The way he walked into the arena so calmly and confidently—man… he’s just really cool! Gola Mosca could fly like some kinda jet pack fighter all Zuzuzuuuuuu, and Hibari went bakbak!
That was it.
So anticlimactic, but that’s what makes him so cool. He walks in, wins without breaking a sweat, and hands the ring off. That really was what gave off a dominant stalking black panther vibe to Yamamoto.
“Now, you, the one sitting over there. Come down here. Until I bite you to death, monkey boss of the mountain of monkeys, I can’t go home.”
This fight was way more interesting to watch. Xanxus stepped on a landmine and used the propulsion to launch himself to the side. He drew Hibari into the line of fire of the gatling guns, but both of them seemed unperturbed by the nuisance around them. The only thing on their minds was to fight- and win.
Hibari managed to force Xanxus to raise an arm in battle though he said he won’t raise an arm. Pretty sure he fought aiming to force him to raise an arm to gnaw at his pride a little bit. Just a theory of his.
Gola mosca started going crazy then after having shot Hibari in the leg.
Some stuff happened after that but… that’s not really relevant right now.
The next thing that happened during the Ring Battles was when everyone was poisoned by the uh… huh, they never were given a name, were they? Whatever it was! They were all poisoned with something that could subdue an elephant- but that’s not enough for Hibari!
Yamamoto distinctly remembers hearing the heavy sounds of metal slamming into metal as Xanxus and Tsuna were having their own battle. That stubborn guy really managed to get himself up onto his feet, beat a pole to death and free himself of the poison.
He then fought Prince Belphegor, the genius. He couldn’t see the battle happening himself, but he knew that Gokudera was helped by Hibari’s quick thinking and swift actions. With him released from the poison, he could help Lambo.
The guy is secretly a team player when he needs to be. He came all the way to help Yamamoto get the Rain ring to be freed from the poison.
“You would mess up the discipline if you die don school grounds. If you want to die, go do so outside.”
That is so like him to say. Yamamoto likes to believe that Hibari was really telling him to get out there and do what he does best: be there for his friends as support. Even though he was beat up pretty badly, he still tried to move- probably to seek the others who were in need of help. That’s when Yamamoto suggested a player change, which he agreed to, handing off his ring to Yamamoto.
In the meanwhile Gokudera saved Ryohei and ye, the rest is history!
The stoic guy may mask some of his concern or care behind Namimori, but he does have the ability to work with others… on his terms. There was something about seeing him beaten but still silently intending to do more made Yamamoto realize just how much responsibility and drive Hibari had.
It was so much that even Yamamoto had to feel impressed by it. That’s their ace for ya! Leading by example, showing the rest of the guardians the kind of level they have to get to.
No wonder he considers them all as weak herbivores, huh?
(ref ch. 118-120, 127-128, 130)
-
What else was there? Ah! That representative battle with the little guys? He can’t forget about the time Hibari really joined another team JUST so he could have his fun in fighting strong opponents and also be unhindered by ‘crowding’. That is so like him, haha!
Hibari came out with a baby atop his head instead of one of his little birds. The resemblance of the two is uncanny, and someone may have leaked the information to the rest of them at one point that the two were actually related. How exactly, he didn’t know, but it seems that the bloodline runs strong.
Anyways, it really didn’t take long for Ryohei to have lost his ‘match’ against Hibari. Yanno how it is, Ryohei runs in head first, forgets about protecting the watch and loses instantly. Really speaks to Hibari’s focus, Yamamoto thinks.
He may like to fight, but he’s goal-oriented. He won’t forget about his task: defeating his opponents. Any opening to destroy a watch will be taken advantage of, even if it means the ‘fun fight’ comes to an end quicker.
“There was actually one other reason that I didn’t join your team… your team is full of people I really want to bite to death.”
Yanno? Yamamoto was kind of excited to hear that from him at first. He’s usually only ever referred to the guardians as weak bugs or herbivores, so acknowledging that he wanted to bite some of them made it seem like he acknowledged their strength a little bit.
Yamamoto really admires Hibari’s strength and his drive, so being regarded as worthy enough to want to bite to death (and it not being something related to having broken a rule to warrant it in the first place) was a good thing.
Okay, it’s also kind of a bad thing, ahaha! Yamamoto doesn’t know how to feel about having Hibari boring holes into the back of his head because he wants to fight.
As much as Yamamoto find challenges to be fun, Gokudera and he had their roles to play as support for their boss.
“You aren’t the same species as me, you’re just bugs. Weak little bugs.”
Ah… maybe he should take that back. Maybe he didn’t quite see them as worthy then. Maybe that’s just him taunting them, trying to goad a reaction out of them to rile their fighting spirit?
You think he’d answer if asked?
(Ref ch. 361 + 363)
-
Hmm… some other memory that made a lasting impression on him? Ah, there was that one time he found Hibari injured and had coaxed him into allowing being escorted to the hospital. On one hand it was shocking to see him injured to begin with. It wasn’t anything fatal, but it was still significant enough to be worrying.
Initially, Hibari was being stubborn in wanting to be left alone, to deal with his injuries by himself- but you know Yamamoto! He’s a stubborn one! Like one of those Shibas who will stamp their butts to the ground and allow their leash to squish their face beyond recognition as their owners desperately beg to go home.
Hibari has a nice view of Shiba Inus, finding them loyal and intelligent- which isn’t wrong! Many know them for their willful nature. They’re quite loyal and loving if you’re close to them.
He still thinks about it every now and then, but maybe it’s the whole tranquility thing, that allowed Yamamoto to slowly coax Hibari into allowing him to take him to the hospital. If you were to ask him, he thinks the big turning point is the apple rabbits. His tune really changed once Yamamoto mentioned cutting some apple rabbits for him.
Not only that, when they approached the hospital, he not-so-subtly reminded Yamamoto about the promised apple rabbits. Guess it’s true that the guy has a soft spot for cute little animals. It as a bit of ‘gap moe’ as Haru termed it.
“Hahi? Sure, Hibari-san is still a bit scary, but when he’s surrounded by cute birds or a little hedgehog, the cuteness factor cuts some of his scariness! He gives into them if they speak upon Haru’s behalf you know? It’s scary and cute!”
When Hibari asked if Yamamoto would allow it to be lonely, he honestly… thought it was kind of cute? For a guy who was a lone wolf and hated crowding, he was quick to suggest allowing the lone apple rabbit to have a friend. He did hear that rabbits were social creatures and should ideally be kept in pairs, and if that was the thought process, it was kind of cute that Hibari would be so considerate towards apple rabbits.
It was like he could see what Haru meant by Hibari’s consideration to cute little animals by listening to them or by wanting for them to have a companion to not feel lonely.
Now if only he could be that considerate towards his human companions, right? Haha! That would be a dream- or maybe a nightmare in Tsuna’s case. Poor guy would probably have a heart attack.
Now, Yamamoto had absolute confidence in his vision. As not only an athlete but a swordsman, his vision and his hearing were sensitive. He didn’t miss the smallest hint of a smile upon nudging the two apple rabbits closer together.
What neither of them would know was that both parties were thinking something was cute in that very moment.
It came as a surprise! Hibari and cute in the same thought? Gokudera and Ryohei both would rush him to the hospital for a brain scan if they’d heard him say so. Mn? Maybe Haru would agree with him?
Not gonna lie, it was kinda nice sharing apple rabbits together. It is possible to have a conversation with Hibari and it not evolve into: Let me bite you to death for [insert some kind of Namimori rule here].
Huh? Cheating? Look, Yamamoto can’t remember all the rules, okay? There are some real arbitrary rules there- like, ‘no crowding’!
Eh? What was so impactful about this? Ahaha! Yeah!
No, huh? Hahaha! YEAH! That’s all you’re getting from him!
Truly, Yamamoto isn’t beating the Shiba Inu allegations.

Fran x Female!Hibari!Reader: A Cure for Gelotophobia
Tumblr media
Summary: "After all, you should have been able to predict that Kyoya and Mukuro would start fighting the minute they laid eyes on one another."
Rating/Tags: G (Alternate Universe - Ten Years Later; Party; Dresses; Female Reader-Insert; Reader is Hibari Kyoya's Sister; Public Humiliation; Mild Language; Background Tsuna/Kyoko; Background I-Pin/Lambo)
Word Count: 3,806
Challenge: 160 Collective Drabbles
Prompt: Pyramid
Tag List: @imaginesfire
Notes: So just to be absolutely clear: This is set when everyone is ten years older, but it's not set in the original Ten Years Later universe that they all traveled to for the arc. They've all grown up since that point. Clear as mud?
And yes, I did actually write for this prompt years ago. But when I was going through the challenge, I was terribly embarrassed by the resulting one shot. White people going to Egypt and blowing up a pyramid played for laughs?? And then I spent exactly ten seconds researching how one should behave respectfully in Cairo, and I gave the old one shot up as a wash and decided to replace it. I haven't watch Agents of SHIELD in eons anyway.
Many thanks to my real life best friend for helping me come up with a better idea for "pyramid."
Ao3 Version Here
A Cure for Gelotophobia
Different things scared different people. Oh, there were common phobias: fear of heights, fear of spiders, fear of enclosed spaces. You liked to think you stood above such paltry feelings like fear. At your relatively young age, you'd already faced numerous challenges and come out the other with the battle scars to prove your skill. Rarely nowadays did you feel your heartbeat speed or your breath catch inside your lungs. But you felt both at that very moment, though there wasn't a single enemy in sight.
Tsuna and Kyoko's engagement party had only just begun. The ballroom at the Vongola's Japanese headquarters was tastefully decorated for the event. Evening sunshine beamed through the colossal windows looking out on to the thriving garden. Friends and family (and Family) of the couple drifted in and out from all directions, and all of them wore formal garb, the men, suits; the women, colorful gowns. Standing awkwardly by the drink table, you felt entirely out of place.
"What on earth are you wearing?"
The question asked in the familiar deep voice of your older brother, Kyoya Hibari, did not soothe your nerves. You shifted and found yourself unable to meet his gray eyes. Avoiding his face would only upset him, but you simply couldn't manage to lift your gaze. At least you kept your own voice steady when you answered:
"It's a ball gown."
"Is there a reason you've chosen to look so ridiculous?"
Pins and needles sharper than Roll's shot up your arms. Trust Kyoya to speak your fear into existence the moment he saw you. Just looking at yourself in the mirror before coming downstairs, you knew—well, you knew you didn't look as natural as the likes of Kyoko and Haru and Bianchi looked in their dresses. When your typical black-tie attire consisted of a literal black tie, suit, pants, and dress shirt in your Flame color, of course you stood out like a sore thumb wearing a gown.
"I just thought it would be nice to dress up for the party." You crushed the hem of your skirt in one fist.
"And if something should happen to necessitate moving quickly and precisely?" he asked.
"Kyoya," you groaned. "No one is going to mount an attack on the Tsuna's engagement party, all right? No one!"
"You're certain of that, are you? Hn. Well, if you want to risk getting blood all over your pretty clothes..."
"As if you aren't the goriest fighter here," you muttered, rather than admit he'd made you feel dumber than ever. You'd spent a decent amount of money on this outfit, and some of tonight's guests were sure to misbehave, even if their actions didn't amount to bloodshed. "No one is going to start a fight tonight," you said more firmly, "Hayato would kill them if they so much as thought about it."
"Do you think he'd mind killing Lambo now as opposed to later?" came a new voice to your conversation.
You looked around to spot your good friend I-Pin sauntering up to you and your brother, resplendent in an electric blue and yellow qipao. She offered a respectful bow to Kyoya, who answered with a slight inclining of his head, before she turned to give you a once-over.
"You look great, [Name]!" she said.
Awkwardly, you fingered the neckline of your gown. "I take your comment to mean you and Lambo are currently off."
I-Pin hummed noncommittally. Her surreptitious glance at Kyoya was answer enough. You spied Lambo across the hall, surrounded by the usual hoard of squealing fans, but even from this distance you could see his eyes darting toward I-Pin's back every few seconds. So she hadn't just come over to compliment your appearance, then; this was a strategic position on her part. Whether he'd willingly admit it or not, Kyoya had a soft spot for her—and not an ounce of sympathy for Lambo.
"Anyway," I-Pin said with a wave of her hand, "don't listen to Mr. Hibari. If Lambo tries anything disruptive tonight, I'll kill him myself. You just focus on wooing you-know-who."
You felt rather than saw Kyoya stiffen beside you.
"I-Pin," you hissed between clenched teeth.
She winced. "Sorry. Was that a secret?"
"So that's why you decided to wear something like that," he said.
"Kyoya—" you began, but he cut you off.
"I forbade you from speaking to him, did I not?"
Only your brother could make his fury plain with such a cold, emotionless voice. But he had trained you well. You did not quail at his tone. Instead, you looked him straight in the eye and said:
"I can speak with him if I want to speak with him."
"Oh? And how do you plan to defy me when you can't even reach your weapon right now?"
Poor I-Pin could only watch as you and Kyoya sized each other up. Her dark eyes were huge in her face. Probably she knew the same thing that you did: You couldn't take him. Kyoya wasn't called the strongest Vongola Guardian for no reason. But the minute you let on that you knew that would be the minute he won.
"Tsuna says we should be welcoming. If he doesn't care if I talk to him, why should you?" you asked.
"She's right, Mr. Hibari. Mr. Sawada wants—"
Kyoya gave I-Pin a look that clearly told her to stay out of his family disputes. Her mouth snapped shut, and she shot you an obvious nonverbal apology. Well, it wasn't her fault your brother was so good at holding grudges.
"Tsuna can 'welcome' whoever he wants," he said. "But you—
"What happened between you and Mukuro happened ten years ago, and it has nothing to do with me!"
"Kufufu. Speak of the devil, and he will appear."
And there, through a sudden dense mist that surrounded the refreshment table, materialized a tall figure in shadow. The fog rolled away to reveal a familiar man with long blue hair. I-Pin gasped. Mukuro didn't spare her a second glance. As usual, he had eyes only for Kyoya, and Kyoya for him.
"Don't tell me I'm the culprit of another little Hibari family spat. Poor [Name]," Mukuro purred, pulling you against his side. "Is the big, bad Cloud Guardian bullying you again?"
"Let her go," Hibari said in a tone that would have struck terror into the heart of anyone else.
Mukuro just slid his gloved fingers into your painstakingly-crafted hair. "If she wanted me to let her go, she could easily make me herself. Isn't that right, dear little [Name]?"
All you could do was grit your teeth and tug futilely against his grip. It was always like this when anyone forced Mukuro and Kyoya into the same room together. Try as you might to find Takeshi in the crowd to signal for aid, you couldn't find him. Anyone else getting involved in this exchange would only make things worse.
"Oh, Mr. Hibari, I really don't think taking our your tonfa is a good idea!" I-Pin said.
Or perhaps things would get worse without Hayato or Ryohei's help.
"Do we really have to do this?" you raised your voice so that Kyoya could hear.
Of course, he said nothing. Mukuro simply laughed again. The sound raised the hairs on the back of your neck at such close quarters.
"What do you mean? All I'm doing is greeting a dear friend of mine."
"We are not friends."
"[Name], you wound me. Did you not just say that what lies between your brother and myself has nothing at all to do with you?"
"You're not who I'm concerned about."
"Ahhh. So it's still my beloved disciple that holds your—"
Only because you'd seen them fight so many times over the course of your life were able to shift in time to avoid Kyoya's first strike with his tonfa. Mukuro let go of you before the metal could touch him. The sudden disappearance of his iron grip sent you tumbling to the hard ground.
"[Name], are you okay?" I-Pin asked as you struggled to right yourself around your gown. All you seemed capable of was getting yourself more tangled.
"Kyoya might have been right about the dress," you answered.
"But he's the one that started it!"
At least you'd dodged the opening assault. No doubt your brother would have blamed you for getting in the way of his never-ending battle with Mukuro, skirts or no skirts. But now you lay forgotten—literally—in a heap while those two duked it out again. Each face already glistened with lines of blood, and, much to your horror, the whole debacle had started to draw attention.
"Oi! What do you bastards think you're doing?!"
"Shit," you said as you spotted Hayato rushing in the direction of the fracas. The spaces between each of his fingers held sticks of dynamite. You had to act fast, or Tsuna's entire party would have to be held in the ruins of his recently-built mansion. "Would you two knock it off?!"
If either Mukuro or Kyoya heard you, neither showed it. Only the ubiquitous sound of tonfa clanging against pitchfork replied. Hayato sped nearer all the while. The dynamite drew closer and closer to the lit cigarette clenched between his teeth. Though I-Pin continued to grasp your shoulder as she watched the chaos unfold around her, you managed to shake her off. With a tremendous amount of effort, you heaved yourself up to your feet.
"Stop!"
Although he hadn't mentioned it, your brother probably wouldn't have approved of your heels either. You'd agree with that in retrospect as well. The sudden momentum combined with your clumsy gait sent you stumbling right into the middle of the fight.
"Not at this party, you assholes!"
And just in time for Hayato to throw his own weapon into the ring. The dynamite soared at you as though in slow motion. You could not dodge. You could not swipe it away. You could only watch, aghast, as the explosive sailed right up to you before it detonated with an earsplitting boom.
Crash!
A loud ringing filled your ears. Above you hanged jittering crystals, clouds of smoke, and wisps of purple and indigo flames. You stared at this kaleidoscope in a daze. Then, all at once, sensation slammed back into you: laughter, pain, cold, wet.
"Oh, children! Couldn't you have waited for the real party to arrive before you got to the fun part of the evening?" Footsteps walking through shards of glass heralded the arrival of yet more of an audience to your mortification. "Got into the liquor a little early tonight, hmm, [Name]?"
You recognized the barely stifled laughter before your brain caught up with your eyes to recognize the bright red and lime green blurring across your vision: Lussuria. The Varia had at last arrived.
A chill seeped into your bones—or maybe that was just the wine soaking through your ruined dress. Unwilling to sit there a moment longer, you gingerly peeled yourself off the collapsed table littered with the remains of the pyramid of glasses. Whether I-Pin's gasp was in reaction to the stains on your wardrobe or the cuts you could feel opening up across your shoulders and arms, you couldn't say. You didn't have the mental capacity to ask, for directly next to the Varia's Sun Guardian—who was practically quivering with glee at your predicament—stood the one person you'd been hoping to impress that evening.
Fran's face betrayed nothing of what he felt upon finding you in such a state. Why would it? It never did. Just behind him, Mukuro's red eye danced with amusement. Your brother narrowed his own eyes at the back of Fran's head—covered, as always, by some ludicrous cap.
Fran made eye contact with you. He said nothing. You said nothing.
"Oh, [Name]."
You felt I-pin lightly grasp your shoulder again, but you shook it off once more.
"I need to go change," you mumbled.
Without waiting for anyone to try to stop you, you turned and mechanically marched from the ballroom. Only a few people called out, but you ignored them. It took every ounce of self-control Kyoya had drilled into you to remain stoic with so many eyes watching your progress. One slipup, one crack in your façade, would only make an already humiliating situation worse.
Step by agonizing step, you made it to the hallway, to the grand stairs, to the room assigned to you as a guest visiting for the party. You let out a tremulous breath as you pulled the heavy wooden door shut behind you with a quiet click.
The bed in front of you looked so welcoming. You could pull of this godawful gown, wash off your makeup, and throw yourself into the lush pillows for a good cry. Certainly nothing else sounded more appealing just then.
But you could not. Someone would come searching for you when you didn't return. The last thing you needed was for either Mukuro or Kyoya to catch you crying over spilled wine, and all that after spilling wine all over yourself in front of a cute boy you rarely got to see.
Then you spotted your reflection in the mirror. This alone cracked your thin veil of composure. Dark wine colored huge patches of your dress. Your impact with the table had loosed your hair from its meticulous styling. Your eyes, despite your best efforts, were red and damp.
A sob burned the inside of your chest, but you refused to let it out. You whipped around and marched to the room's adjoining balcony. If you could not fling yourself into bed and cry, then you could stand outside and watch the last of the sunset over the garden. Clutching your upper arms so hard that your fingernails sent little stabs of pain up them kept you grounded enough to stay calm where someone might spot you.
Why did Kyoya have to be this way? You were a dutiful younger sister, enduring all the rigorous training and lectures on tradition he demanded throughout your life. Though you had not been granted the position of Vongola Guardian, you know that Tsuna (and, more importantly, Reborn) respected your strength and abilities. Not once in all these years had you ceased to do whatever you could to serve your family—both blood and figurative. And then the one night you wanted to be someone more than Kyoya Hibari's little sister...
You sucked in your lower lip where it had started to pout. One of your fists pressed into the skin just beneath an eye as a single tear threaten to leak out. Why should you cry? The spiteful part of you wanted to accuse Kyoya of sending you toppling into the drinks on purpose. He hated the thought of you cozying up to anyone related to his sworn enemy, however tangentially. But if you kept thinking that way, you'd never return to the party.
"It would serve him right," you muttered to no one.
But it wouldn't serve Tsuna and Kyoko right. You cared about them. They both deserved to have a blissful engagement celebration without the typical Vongola Family nonsense ruining things as usual. Knowing Kyoko, she wouldn't let the festivities begin until you came back anyway. And yet you couldn't quite bring yourself to make a move to head downstairs. However much you might try to deny it, you did feel fear the same as anyone else.
Still, your fear of embarrassing yourself in front of so many important people in your life could not be allowed to ruin everyone else's evening.
Sighing, you turned back toward the door to your quarters. If you could stomach wrangling Lambo without Futa to help, you could stomach being laughed at for a few hours.
"Why does it take women so long to make themselves look exactly the same?"
That voice drifting up to you froze you to the spot. Your higher brain functions seemed to cease. Did you want to handle this? After a moment or two of mute dithering, you moved back to where you'd been standing to peek hesitantly over the balcony railing. There stood Fran, flat-faced as always.
"Or do you just have identical dresses that look stained?" he asked.
"It's the same dress!" you snapped when your brain finally caught up with your eyes.
"Oh. I wasn't aware that looking that like a drunk dalmatian was so fashionable. I'll have to inform Captain Lussuria."
"Did you only come out here to irritate me?"
"Mah. Not only to irritate you. Your crying jag was getting lengthy."
"I wasn't crying!"
"I suppose having smeared mascara down your cheeks is fashionable now as well."
You inhaled sharply as you lifted a hand to your face. The skin there felt damp. No need to look in the mirror inside to confirm that Fran wasn't making things up.
"I wasn't crying the entire time," you said. "Tell everyone I'll be there soon. I just need to clean myself up a bit, and—"
"Don't bother."
"Huh?"
"Don't bother cleaning up."
"Fran, wine stains and smeared makeup really aren't in style. I'm not going back downstairs looking like this."
"Why even bother going back?"
Your fingers tightened around the railing in front of you. Sometimes you really had to wonder who thought the cosmic joke of you falling for this boy in particular would actually be funny.
"I can't just ditch, Fran. This party is a big deal. Everyone will notice if I don't show up."
"You mean like they noticed when you fell backwards into the drinks?"
"I didn't—"
But you bit your lip hard enough to make it bleed in your rush to clamp your mouth over the end of your sentence. Dutiful sisters did not blame others for their own failures, and neither did full-fledged members of the Vongola Family. You and you alone were ultimately responsible for the whole fiasco. After all, you should have been able to predict that Kyoya and Mukuro would start fighting the minute they laid eyes on one another.
"You do realize they're just going to do that twenty-six more times before the night is over," Fran said, as though he could read your mind—not exactly a comforting thought, all things considered.
"Maybe I should change into pants this time," you conceded.
"You do that. I'm leaving."
And indeed he turned around to do just that. Your heart nearly popped out of your chest.
"W-wait!"
"Why?"
You scrambled for an answer that wouldn't leave you all alone with a sympathetic I-Pin for the duration of the party. "Won't your boss be mad?"
"My boss is always mad," Fran said. "So is Captain Squalo. And Captain Levi. And—"
"Okay. Okay. I get it. Everyone in the Varia needs anger management classes. Duly noted."
"Your brother's already plenty mad, too."
True. Your choice of outfit had already incited Kyoya enough to ensure a thorough dressing down later on, even disregarding your spectacular trip into the wine. Now he'd only be more convinced than ever he had been right, that you had no business dressing up like that even for parties such as this one. And while your brother would never physically strike you in order to punish you, his icy demeanor would likely be enough to make everyone around you miserable for the rest of the night.
So why bother going back? You could always beg Tsuna and Kyoko for forgiveness in the morning. Kyoya would be infuriated regardless of your absence. At least Tsuna had been on the receiving end of Kyoya's tonfa often enough that he would likely be sympathetic to your plight.
"Okay." Your entire body slumped over the railing as you surrendered. Undoubtedly you would regret your choice the next day, but for now, you only felt relieved.
Fran hardly reacted. "Let's get going."
"Hey! I still need to change!"
He looked over his shoulder just far enough to allow you to hear his response: "You can if you want. I'm not hanging around here long enough to get dragged back to that sad excuse for a party."
Fran did not stop. If you really wanted to join him, you needed to move fast. Your body seemed to move of its own accord upon seeing this. Down you swung from the balcony to land neatly on your feet in the shadowed grass. Although the dark stains on your gown still showed through, at least in the darkness of dusk they were more difficult to see. And while you paused to check this, Fran moved ever on ahead. You rushed after him and, in a fit of bravery, grabbed his hand.
He looked at where your fingers interlaced, but said nothing.
This made you feel braver still. You squeezed his palm and asked, "Where are we going?"
He shrugged. "There's not much to do around here anyway."
You opened your mouth to protest this impugning of Namimori's honor when a flash of light and movement in the corner of your eye brought you up short. Of course, your luck would lead you right by one of the ballroom's enormous windows. Standing there and looking straight at you were Tsuna and Kyoko. Your blood ran cold. What would they think of you sneaking off with Fran of all people? The Vongola Family's alliance with the Varia was tenuous at best to begin with! If you did something to break the fragile peace with Xanxus, you shuddered to think what sort of training you'd endure at Reborn's hands in retaliation.
Tsuna smiled, the expression so fleeting you thought you imagined it as he turned to walk away. Kyoko made sure to catch your eye, then she winked and held a single finger up to her lips before she followed her fiancé into the waiting crowd.
You couldn't help gaping after them. It couldn't really be that easy, could it?
A tug on your arm drew you back to your immediate surroundings. You couldn't tell by his face if Fran had spotted the happy couple giving you their blessing. He probably wouldn't care if they had. But when he saw you looking at him again, he said:
"Come on. Show me what's so great about this town. We can deal with your brother and my master some other time."
And all at once, your fear melted away. Who was scared of overbearing brothers, manipulative instructors, and Family feuds? Who could even be afraid of being spotted in public wearing a ruined gown and smeared makeup? With Fran by your side, you didn't fear anything at all. And when Kyoya arrived to scold you in the morning, you'd still have one magical night to remember of being your own person whether he liked it or not.

((Hi hi! I’m sure you know how I do my lil drabble things. You are free to do as you like with them. Hoard them, reply to them, post them as is, etc. You can consider them canon or otherwise, all good!))
-
Who didn’t know Haru to be that dedicated friend who always liked to celebrate others and to show affection to those that she cared for? Not only that, who didn’t know that Haru was very willing to call in some favors to a certain ‘scary’ Cloud Guardian whenever it suited her on the basis that they were on friendly terms. He’d never admit to it, but Haru has a ‘built-in Tsundere radar’ as she calls it to understand the truth.
Over the years, Hibari had grown used to being the primary person Haru would ask a favor to deliver gifts to the mafia don herself. Sometimes she’d request the same of Ryohei or Yamamoto whenever they were in Japan. They both did a fair amount of travel for their work as well. Sometimes, if it worked into her schedule and Tsuna had come to visit Japan herself, Haru would have some gifts that she’d been hoarding in the corner of her room to gift to her friend.
It wasn’t a promise that was ever spoken, but if Tsuna had arrived to Japan, there was always some time set aside for the two women to spend time together. It was almost like an unspoken promise between them. As Haru would say, ‘it’s friendship law to spend time after being apart for so long!’
Hibari walked up to Tsuna and handed her a bag. “For your birthday,” is all he said before he turned to leave. As usual, the aloof man who didn’t stay in one place for very long, as per his aloof tendencies. Unless business matters called or there was a fight brewing, he didn’t stay still for long, and that was something everyone had long since accepted about him.
Inside of the bag were a number of things, including a number of letters. One was from Kyoko wishing her a happy birthday. There were two other letters, one bigger than the other. In the bigger one, was letters written by the children who wanted to wish their aunty a happy birthday. The kids drew little drawings in their letters and some pasted pressed flowers to decorate their letters. The last envelope contained a letter from Haru.
[Kyoko’s letter]
Dear Tsu-chan, Hope you’re doing well! Haru and I are doing well in Japan. The children are growing up well, and I think you’d be happy to see how well they’ve been acclimating to life in Japan. Everyone is working hard for the Vongola, and that’s great, but don’t forget to get rest. It’s important to take care of yourself. You’ve done so much for the Vongola, changing some things for the better and I’m always proud to be your friend. We may be far apart, but I’m always thinking about you and hoping for the best. The next time you visit Japan, we should go to a new cake shop that opened up. I think there is a cake there that you’ll really like. Sorry that we can’t be there in person to celebrate your birthday with you, but our hearts are always with you. Haru and I both made your gift together, hope you like it! With love, Kyoko Sasagawa
[Haru’s letter]
Dear Tsu-chan, Haru hopes that you’re in good health when you’re reading this, or she’s going to have to scold you the next time we see each other in person, you know? Haru will give a stink eye to the guys too for not paying enough attention to you. [she drew a small pout face] Joking aside, Haru is sure that you’re doing well. She trusts everyone to do their best to care for themselves. Kyoko and I are doing well in Japan and the kids are also fairing well. We miss seeing you, but we know that you’re doing great and important things in Italy. We’re so proud of everything that you do. You are doing what you can and we’re here doing what we can. Don’t forget that if you ever get tired and need someone to listen, Haru can always lend a figurative shoulder. Sleep isn’t as important as you. Hopefully one day we’ll be able to celebrate your birthday in person! For now, we have to utilize Hibari-san as a delivery-service [she drew a laughing face] This year, Kyoko and I attended a pottery class and we made a cup and plate shaped for you. You should find it in the bag. Hope you like it! Love, Haru Miura
The children all wrote letters as well with simple messages wishing her a happy birthday. There were lots of pressed flowers, drawn doodles, and one child made a bookmark.
Inside of the bag was an orange box with two carefully wrapped ceramic pieces. One was a mug that looked like a lion’s head with ears jutting out. The plate was long, so it had plenty of space left over for her to place snacks on the plate even after she places her mug atop the plate. A dual-purpose plate was just peak efficiency.
It had a shape of a pawprint at the one end of the plate, with each paw pad being outlined with a groove so she could put different snacks in each paw pad if she wanted to.
This set probably couldn’t be used with company around, but it was something that she could enjoy in the peace and privacy of her own home.
There seemed to be another gift in the corner of the bag, placed in a small box. Inside was a chain brooch, the kind that you attach to lapels of any dress shirt or a suit-coat. On one end of the chain brooch was a lion with embedded orange gems on the mane. On the other end of the chain was the emblem of the Vongola with the sky symbol. Clearly, there was some custom-work done on this piece. There was no note that came along with the gift.
If Tsuna were to ask Haru about the chain brooch at a later date, Haru would’ve informed her that it wasn’t anything that she prepared as a gift, so that one had come from Hibari. Perhaps, he was too ‘shy’ to openly convey his birthday wishes to her.
Was he actually shy? No, but it was Haru’s troll-antics that liked to spin things in weird ways as small jokes. In reality it was simply: Hibari was aloof and it was in his nature to put his gift in with the other gifts and allow her to piece together the mystery for herself. His ‘boss’ can’t have such a slow wit, after all. She can figure it out.
One day during one of his travels, he saw the chain brooch on display with two lions embedded with green emeralds, and he’d consulted with the jeweler to make some modifications to replace the emeralds with golden citrine gems instead as they most closely resembled the color of the Sky flames. Additionally, the gem is said to be great in absorbing and dissipating negative energy while bringing an abundance and prosperity to the owner.
Did he believe that their ‘healing abilities’ included benefits such as anxiety relief, boosting confidence, providing protection, providing good fortune and success amongst other perks? No, but if it were true, that would be nice, he thought. Though on the other end of the chain was the same lion facing the other direction, he’d put in a special request for something else instead. He’d custom ordered the Vongola emblem with the sky symbol to replace the one lion brooch.
This chain brooch would be pinned on the lapels of dress shirts. It would be quite fitting for her, wouldn’t you think?
Tsuna sat down in the comfortable armchair in her Florence apartment. Beside her on the table was a cup of tea, its gentle aroma mixing with the scent of the autumn day drifting in through the open window. On her lap rested a package Hibari had just delivered. As always, his approach was curt and reserved—no unnecessary words, just a brief "For your birthday" and a quick departure. She remained seated for a moment, smiling at his typical way of communicating.
She opened the package slowly, as if trying to prolong the joy of anticipation. The first thing she found were letters. As she began reading Kyoko's handwriting, delicate and precise as always, her heart warmed. Kyoko's words were filled with love, support, and that natural optimism that always had a calming effect on her. The mention of new pastries from a bakery in Japan made her laugh. "Yes, Kyoko, we will definitely make time," she murmured to herself, flipping the letter over to read the next one.
Haru… Haru was always the livelier, more spontaneous one. Her doodled smiley faces and little notes in the letter brought a wide grin to Tsu-chan's face. "Haru never fails to brighten the day," she thought. She could clearly imagine her, enthusiastically picking out gifts while simultaneously planning their next adventure as soon as they reunited.
The letters from the children were the highlight. Tsuna felt her eyes well up with tears as she read their simple yet sincere wishes, brimming with childlike innocence. The little drawings, pressed flowers, and even a handmade bookmark—every small detail reminded her that, despite the hectic life she led, there were still people who thought of her with love. She gently ran her fingers over the drawings and smiled. "Maybe it's time to visit Japan again," she pondered.
Then her gaze fell on the ceramics. The lion-shaped mug made her laugh immediately. It was so whimsical, with its adorable ears, that she could already picture herself drinking her morning cappuccino from it. The plate with paw prints was equally practical and amusing. "Kyoko and Haru have outdone themselves again—exactly how I like it," she said, carefully placing the ceramics on the table to display them later.
But there was one more gift. A small box tucked into the corner of the package. She opened it with curiosity, and when she revealed the chain brooch, she paused in silence for a moment. The lion motif and orange gemstones… everything about it exuded elegance and symbolism. She gently ran her fingers over the details of the brooch. On one side, a lion; on the other, the Vongola emblem with the Sky symbol.
Hibari.
"So quiet, yet he knows exactly what to choose," she thought. It wasn’t an ordinary gift. It was thoughtful, perfectly reflecting her position and personality. She spent the rest of the day trying the brooch on various blazers and shirts, pondering where she could wear it so it would be visible but not too conspicuous.
In the evening, as she sat on the balcony watching the setting sun, she picked up Kyoko's and Haru's letters again. "Family," she murmured softly. "It's not always about blood. It's about who thinks of you, who brightens your day, and who gives you the feeling that you are not alone."
These small gestures—letters, gifts, even Hibari's peculiar way of showing care—reminded her that even in the chaotic world of the mafia, she was still surrounded by love.

Guess who started to write and cried? Yeah, @whiskeysmulti, Cloud Can Stir up Storm. I'm not sure if they are in a relationship or not but... Enjoy? Originally a drabble, so is up to you if you wanna write an answer or not.
Tumblr media
Since the moment Hibari Kyoya appeared in his bar, he didn't let him out of his sight, or at least not enough for Gokudera to actually find trouble or even do anything against his own body. There weren't many options for Hayato. But to be fair, the Cloud company was helping him to learn how to deal with his feelings and what to do in certain situations.
So it was a good thing, the Storm was slowly going back to work in missions, working in the Mafia again, and even slowly taking his old life as he was organizing it. The progress was there, he still avoided certain things as it was triggering his depression and anxiety, but in general, it was a miracle.
Except today, today he found something, and that made him crash. His blood boiled, and his heart hurt so much that he couldn't stop the thoughts rushing through his mind. He wanted to get in trouble, he wanted to get hurt, he needed something, but he knew the moment that something happened or he tried. Hibari would be there and stop him.
For once, he closed his eyes, and then...
HIBARI KYOYA!
The yelling was the only warning he gave the other, after all, no matter what Hibari Kyoya was capable of, Gokudera didn't want to kill him. As the arrow hit where he was previously, Hibari jumped back just in time to avoid getting hit. That is when Gokudera started attacking arrow after arrow where he would be, as the arrows were deep in the floor.
Changing to the cannon, so he could shoot the multiple types of ammunition he had. Watching as the Cloud gets closer and closer to him, using the bone circle to float and keep shooting as he moves to keep his distance.
Tumblr media
But obviously, even if Hibari Kyoya were only defending and dodging, Gokudera for more bloodthirsty than he was right now, he was still avoiding to actually shot to hurt. So the difference was bigger, as he soon felt the Cloud push him and pin him against the floor, rolling around before the moment stopped and they were face to face.
He tried to struggle, but that was useless, again the difference in one heart set to protect and dodge, while the other is confused and mixed, the one who was set in won. As Hibari kept him pinned down, Hayato looked at him emotions flowing. The adrenaline, the hurt, everything so mixed. No words were necessary as they both tried to calm down from whatever that "fight" was.
Tumblr media
He closes his eyes embarrassed, not for losing, because that was set to happen since the start, he was embarrassed at how weak his heart was right now. It was unfair, it was unfair to himself. He felt so good, he felt that he was finally moving on, just to be hit with that. It was unfair. Was I... Am I so easy to move on? Am I not... worthy to fight for...?
One tear slowly rolled at the side of his face. WHY? WHY DIDN'T HE FIGHT TO BE WITH ME?! He yells as tears are now rolling one after another. Why... Why did everyone end up leaving me? Why did no one fight for me? WHYYYYYYYYYY?! He cries openly, while looking at Hibari, but not exactly at Hibari.
First mom... then father who left me with daddy... Now Takeshi... Who will be next? He feels the tears falling quicker as he looks now back at Hibari. You? Will you be the next to leave me? Am i...
He couldn't stop the tears or his words from leaving, forgetting how he got pinned as he was finally able to let his thoughts leave. As that small fight was enough to actually break the wall of his words, and let him finally talk and say what he was feeling.
Is it my fault? Am I the one wrong? Hibari... I... Am I... Really that worthless?

Hibari + Tsu-chan's first childhood love (yeah, it is one of my headcanon, Hibari was her first love in childhood XD) + drabble
Send me a word or theme and " + drabble " and I will write a dabble / one-shot surrounding the given word. || Accepting || @signorinavongola
Haru couldn’t really see it. THIS scary guy was the person that her Tsu-chan had a crush on? Of course, after finding out this fact, Haru had gone to investigate this person.
The person who moments prior ‘bit’ someone to ‘death’ for the ‘criminal offense’ of ‘crowding.’ That’s a lot of air quotes but… what else can you expect?
Was it his looks? Haru had to admit that he was… pretty? In a way? Maybe?
It’s hard to say, considering Haru was more the sort who fell for people for their admirable qualities and come to find them attractive for all sorts of reasons. If she loved someone, she wouldn’t find them unattractive.
Right now, Hibari was looking like an evil monster man who has some kind of obsession with biting people.
What was it about him that she liked about him? Even when she asked the guys about him (citing pure curiosity), they had some things to say: ‘The guy is pretty dangerous when he’s pissed, you should stay away from him,’ ‘He’s got a bit of a temper, but as long as you keep your distance, you should be fine.’ ‘Oh, Hibari? He’s just a grouch, don’t mind him too much.’
Well, she couldn’t understand for the longest time, until one day… she watched as the guy held out his outstretched hand and a small bird perched itself on his finger! Who does he think he is? Snow white? Well, he’s got the complexion and the beauty for it—but not the temperament!
This is that thing they call ‘Gap Moe’ in the shoujo manga her friends read, right? A powerful thing indeed. Seeing him be so gentle with the little birds certainly had Haru looking at him in a new light.
Still, the way he terrorized people still left a lot to be desired. Haru was going to have to judge him hard to see if he’s good enough for her good friend, Tsuna!
“What are you doing here?”
“Hahi? HAHI!?” What (un)luck! She got caught! When did he get behind her?
The real question for him was that this weird girl has been stalking him on Namimori premises for some time now. He knew that she was Sawada Tsunayoshi’s friend, and he gave her some leniency, but his patience was slowly wearing down to nothingness.
Her loud voice was making the sand in the nonexistent hourglass flow even faster.
“Ah… eto… ehh… Haru… Haru is” she was frantically trying to figure something out. “Haru just wanted to say hello to your cute birdie friends! Haru had brought seeds as a peace offering!” She babbles randomly, pulling out a bag of seeds from her bag.
Waaaaaaahhh today is the day Haru dies! Haru is sorry, Gokudera. Even though you warned her to stay away, she failed the mission! She did her best to keep distance, but… he came up to her himself!
Suddenly, his hair ruffles and a tiny head pops out. A little birdie! Haru stares, mouth agape in awe. Do the birds use his hair as a nesting place to sleep in? He lets them?
+5 points for this guy.
How many points does someone need to be ‘good enough’ for Tsu-chan, you ask?
A BAZILLION!!!!
“Seeds! Seeds!” The little bird chirps.
Hibari’s grey eyes leer down at the seeds Haru was holding in her shaking hands. This one… was like a shivering chihuahua. Had attitude, was audacious, but also somehow cowardly.
“I’ll take the seeds. If you wish to visit your friend, report yourself to a committee member, who will escort you to Sawada Tsunayoshi.” With that, he takes the bag of seeds and leaves.
Haru drops to the ground, the wave of relief making her knees go weak.
“Eh? He knows that Tsu-chan is Haru’s friend?” So… he pays attention to Tsu-chan and her friends who go to other schools?
+10 points.

“Ha-hahi! Haru is sorry, Hibari-san!” She is both whispering and screaming in fright. What do you call it, a screaming whisper? Yeah. “Haru didn’t know that quiet giggling would wake you. Haru will do better next time, don’t bite Haru to death.” If there was a ‘sounding like a kicked puppy’ contest, Haru was winning it for the next 30 years.
When the little bird chirped on her behalf, she internally shed many tears. How gratifying that it would defend her from Hibari’s wrath. This one gets extra treats later, she makes the mental note.
“Yamamoto-kun didn’t lie… huu… that was scary.” She whispers under her breath. Hibari-san really was super cranky after being woken up! Still, scary as it was… he did spare her on the account of her being nice to his bird friends. ‘Guess he really isn’t that scary…’ she looks at the tonfa, ‘no no! That’s a lie, he’s still scary!’ Haru is shedding tears mentally and in person.
Tumblr media
Waaaahhh Okaa-san… Otou-san… if Haru doesn’t make it back tonight, offer the leftover cake to Haru’s lamenting spirit. No worries, the (dramatic) tears are silent. She’s a quick study!
Tumblr media
UKIGUMOS - »❝浮雲❞«
Kyouya's eyes snapped open. He had warned the woman about the consequences of disrupting his sleep. Or did he not make that clear the first time? For her to make noise like this was unacceptable. With a cranky look on his face, Kyouya sat himself up. He rubbed his temples with his thumb and index finger before shooting a warning glare.
"In case you've forgotten... If you make any sound," Out comes his signature weapon, "I'll bite you to death. Understood?"
[ Hibari! Hibari! Delicious! Delicious! ]
The yellow bird chirped, seemingly in his direction as if to defend its feeder.
...On second thought, perhaps he couldn't blame Miura too much for that annoying giggle. The bird is cute. And smart. That was factual.
Kyouya held his gaze for a few seconds more before curling back up on the couch, tossing his jacket back over himself with a light huff.
"Hmph."

Rules: List the first line of your last 10 (posted) fics and see if there's a pattern!
Sukiyaki: The first time Jigen came back to Hibari, it felt like he hadn’t left.
Steaming: The day was young, and Goemon was alone.
Days past and days to come: “No way in Hell I’m going anywhere near that thing.”
Adieu: It almost hurts to come home.
Hanafuda Part 2 -Botan: It was a chill morning, both by its weather and by its lack of activity.
Hanafuda Part 1 - Sakura: A melodic chime filled the shop as Jigen pushed the door.
Become: Daisuke Jigen doesn't work with women.
If we had known each other back then: The sun was setting on the Bronx and on the last day Jigen could spend with his best friend.
Drabbles and other drabbles: Cheerful notes filled the ballroom, ringing against the glass of the bay windows and mingling with the crowd’s laughter.
Family photos: This safe house was a lot more well-kept than the ones Jigen was used to.
The pattern seems to be a quick setting of the environment and the situation, usually involving a character's perception of it or place in it.
If you want to do this, consider yourself tagged by me!

Omg!! I didnt know asks are open!!!!!! May I request for a scenario where Hibari reluctantly introduces his s/o to Dino, who as Dino always is, does something embarrassing or trips or whatever? Thank youuuuuuh
UwU Yes it is! even if your Admin needs some times to write between life, tons of video games and the second writing tumblr, I’am sorry! Dino is a real pain and it’s way we love him so much. ♥
Tumblr media
Kyoya Hibari
This was it. The inevitable social torture Kyoya was trying to avoid since months, the incovenience of his entire life, the angle of furniture against his toe, the puddle under his sock… Here he was, the clumsiest man on earth, in front of him, hand-kissing you graciously a stupid smile on his stupid face.
Dino used to send a message to him each times he came to Japan to see Tsuna, message Hibari used to delete right away, sighing because he knew the parasit would stop by to have a boring chit-chat by the end of the day, but not this time, and Hibari knew exactly why.
It has been months since you barged into his life, and he was struck by those feelings he tried, helplessly, to push out of the way with your entire person. Your smile, your soothing presence, your punchy spirit, and after tilting at windmills, he finally cracked open a breach to let you in.
Hibari is a pretty secret person when it comes to his private life, so even if the other gardians understood something was up, they all respected his secret garden and gave him the times he needeed to introduce you to every aspect of his life… that was totally not Dino’s case.  As soon as he got a glimpse of the scarf you offered him, of your smell on his sofa and of your forgotten jacket at his place? It was the end of Hibari precious privacy.
Ecstatic like a teenage girl, he asked and investigated more like a nosy mom to discover what, who, Hibari was hiding and he promised himself that if the cloud guardian didn’t want to talk about you or introduce you, then he’ll find a way to force him into this...situation.
And so.. that was when Dino decided to knock to Hibari’s door while you were both sitting comfortably on the couch for a movie night. And by the look on Kyoya’s face while he was kissing your knuckles, he knew he won.
He apologized for the interruption, like the gentleman he is and by the way you acted, it didn’t take him long to realize how sweet and kind hearthly you were, what a fantastic contrast.  And what a nice situation he would be able to exploit, he knew too well you would insist for him to stay when he will propose to leave to not disturb you, saying that he was just so happy to see his «pupil» after 14 hours of  flight.
Hibari was boiling, his eyes burning deep holes into Dino’s head, there were good reasons for him if he wanted to keep you away from all the things going around in his life, the Vongola, the mafia life and.. the Cavallone Boss, the thought didn’t got the chance to fully ring into his head that the first desaster of a long list happened right in front of him.
While you were smiling politely next to the blond as he took off his coat, he slapped you with one of his sleeve, turning around abruptely to apologize profusely, it was Kyoya's turn to be slapped by the other one as he made a step toward you to see if everything was okay.
Then came the glass of water spilled on the table, the tripping against the imaginary carpet that sent Dino fly at your feet and the listing of not-so-funny anecdotes about your pouting boyfriend that didn’t let out a single words from the night.
The frown still deep between his brow, Hibari clicked his tongue his eyes darting anywhere but on Dino’s huge smirk as he was telling you an embarrassing story about him. Your laugh filled the room and a shiver ran throught Kyoya’s back, gosh, he loved that sound so much, your hand cupped his under the table and your bright smile warmed his chest, at that moment, there were no embarrassment, no trouble, no Dino, just him and all the reasons that made him love you.
It wasn’t that bad after all..
