Here's a petition for combatting the latest anti-trans stuff in Alberta!! I'm pretty sure you have to at least be in Canada to sign it, but I'm not sure if you need to be in Alberta specifically. Please sign it if you're able to, this directly impacts my community and people I care about!!!

i think race in hockey is a bigger discussion that we Need to constantly be having and acknowledging the rampant racism within the league and within fandom. but i think acting like Literally Hockey Blorbo Polls That Uses Tumblr User Voted Data is the nexus of evil and racism in this fandom when it's is a very real and serious issue in the ACTUAL LEAGUE and in fandom in more tangible and negatively impactful ways is weird and a waste of all of our times and energies

Been getting an influx of obvious spam/porn bots and also blank blogs in my follows the past couple weeks so I guess this is a good time to state my policy on the latter again:

I don’t block blank blogs that follow me on sight if they have usernames that look like a person might’ve chosen them (ie not a random mash of letters and numbers). This is because it’s possible these blogs might be real users brand new to tumblr (or newly remaking etc).

However, I do go back and check and if after 1-2 weeks (whenever I remember to check) the blog still has not been customized with an icon etc and still has zero content, even likes? Blocked. If it has likes or other content but those seem…sus to me in very specific ways I won’t get into? Blocked. This is because I have decided that either the blog is a bot, is not intending to truly use tumblr anytime soon, or may be something more annoying or outright harmful specifically to me.

So if you’re new to tumblr and just followed me, hi! Please start using tumblr by reblogging and liking posts! I hope you’ll enjoy your time here. But…I’ll block you if you don’t actually use your blog. Sorry!

looking at a bunch of my old favorite mutuals blogs that have been inactive for years. i miss them, even if i never really talked to any of them. when you're mutuals with a person for so long they become a comforting presence even without talking. you see them every day and read their posts about their thoughts or feelings or about what's going on in their life and so on. and they just become a part of your daily life in such a subtle way.

and then one day they just never post again. without warning. shit sucks. i actually hate it.

@autumnartistsworld is a scam account / potentially just a robot stealing art and trying to pass it off as its own, probably to get your bank account information. It blocked me as soon as I called it out & I reported the blog but just warning ppl there’s a new kind of scam on tumblr. It commented on my clown makeup selfies like they were the pinnacle of beauty lmao

Copyseeker is a good reverse image search tool btw I found all of this art elsewhere online attributed to 3 different artists 😂

I've got an art account that i sometimes log onto and queue stuff for, but it doesn't get anywhere near as much engagement as this account does! I was wondering if changing the queue time could help that.

Calling on writers/readers to help come up with terms for facial expressions if they exist.

For today, I'm calling this "the (un)impressed pout", but it's not quite a pout and not only used when (un)impressed. You see the issue.

If you were writing a story and want to express that a character is doing this exact thing with their mouth while considering something they perceive to be unknown but low stakes, how would you describe it? The shorter the better, I'm specifically hoping someone comes up with something as repeatable as "knowing smirk" or "frowning doubtfully" that anyone could use, or even find via google search (took a while to find all these, i had to look up "funny faces" to find them).

Extra bonus points if there *is* a term for this expression in a non-English language! Loan words are more than valid!!

I love The Locked Tomb and do think it's smart and you can do a lot of in depth analysis of its themes. I'll be the first to defend the series in that regard, but sometimes I do see ppl trying to pretend it doesn't also make meme references in it and can be fun and silly on purpose. Idk what I'm trying to say other than I think trying to sell someone the book without preparing them for a none pizza joke is a disservice
