A clean pair of camera lens could see the island with the brightest blue sky; one could imagine the scent of the sea, the heat of the sun, and the calls of the birds just by looking at a single photograph. Looking out the windows of any of the buildings could create such vivid perceptions, despite being locked indoors. Yet things were tainted, and the wildlife no longer felt clean. It was unsettling.

Unsettling as watching an older man kick a child out of his way, simply for being an eyesore. It was an uneasy, queasy feeling that sunk low into the pits of her heart. Mahiru certainly did feel some degree of loss at Twogami's death. Whether he was truly 'dead' or not was another story, which made the game a bit more interesting. Going through the pain of death in a virtual world was a bitter thought, since it could easily apply to their true bodies back home. Not these simple, reminiscent avatars of their younger selves.

What was most disturbing about all of it was the terror of being trapped in a comatose state. Sure, there was a chance that they could wake up with their island memories in tact. But that chance was so minimal, that it wasn't likely to happen. 'It's cruel to taunt us like this. Even if we died here, there's the chance to come back. But would we really?' False hopes were only too painful to go through. Maybe it was best to sink away and die. She could still vividly remember the angry cries of the betrayed Future Foundation, demanding the deaths of her classmates before they could cause further despair.

She wasn't going to give them the satisfaction of offing her. 

Memories were a fickle thing, and it was silly to think that each person would undergo the same effects after forced memory loss. She didn't understand all of the technical jazz, but she knew that Matsuda was hardly an Izuru Kamukura when it came to understanding the brain. She wouldn't have been surprised if Kamukura did something to jump start her memories. Despair settled in like a parasite, and the once clear colors of the island were no longer in tact. 

Perhaps the shock of the trial and execution managed to sink her into a deeper mood than before, but what was most sickening about all of this was that none of it felt new to her. Despair was natural. It was reality,  so why fight it?

That being said, she had questions for particular characters that she wasn't familiar with. There truly was a 'traitor' in their midst, and while she didn't know all of the details, came to two conclusions. Either Nanami was simply a freakish AI like that Monomi brat, or she was a member of the Future Foundation. In other words; a human like the rest of them.

It was time to get to know the gamer a little bit better.

She wasn't sure where to even start looking for her, but she was probably indoors, knowing how she was. "Nanami-chan?" She called, opening the doors to the shabby hotel. The girl had to be around here somewhere.

The photographer's eyes slowly scanned the crowd, a feeling of sorrow swooned over her as she stared at the others with an empty glare. She took note of her other classmates, in which they seemed..different than usual. Well, whatever. For now, Koizumi would simply shrug it off, proceeding to clear her throat and straighten her posture. There were a few people here she also had yet to meet, but..With a sigh, she began to speak.
