Vitamin C Serum for Skin Whitening & Brightening: A Must-Have for Glowing Skin
When it comes to skincare, achieving a glowing and even-toned complexion is often at the top of everyone's wish list. While there are countless products on the market claiming to improve skin radiance, one of the most powerful and scientifically-backed ingredients for skin whitening and brightening is Vitamin C. If you’re looking for a reliable way to improve your skin's tone and texture, Vitamin C serum might be your new best friend. Let’s dive into why Vitamin C is a game-changer and how incorporating it into your skincare routine can make a real difference!
Tumblr media
What is Vitamin C and How Does It Work?
Vitamin C, also known as ascorbic acid, is a potent antioxidant that plays a critical role in promoting healthy skin. It helps to neutralize free radicals caused by environmental factors like UV rays and pollution, both of which can damage skin cells and lead to premature aging. Additionally, Vitamin C supports collagen production, which is essential for maintaining skin elasticity and firmness.
But the most exciting benefits of Vitamin C are its ability to brighten the skin and lighten dark spots. It works by inhibiting melanin production, the pigment responsible for dark spots and hyperpigmentation. This makes it an excellent ingredient for skin whitening and achieving a more even skin tone.
Why Choose Vitamin C Serum?
A serum is typically a concentrated formulation that delivers potent ingredients directly to your skin. Vitamin C serums, in particular, are lightweight and fast-absorbing, allowing the active ingredient to penetrate deep into the skin. This helps target various skin concerns like dullness, hyperpigmentation, and uneven skin tone more effectively compared to traditional creams or lotions.
Here are some reasons why you should consider using a Vitamin C serum for skin whitening and brightening:
Brightens Dull Skin: Vitamin C boosts skin radiance by promoting cell turnover and fighting off free radicals that contribute to skin dullness.
Fades Hyperpigmentation: Whether you’re dealing with sunspots, acne scars, or melasma, Vitamin C helps lighten these stubborn spots, leaving your skin more even-toned.
Fights Aging: The antioxidant properties of Vitamin C help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, giving your skin a youthful glow.
Hydrates and Protects: Vitamin C helps to keep skin hydrated, while also offering protection against environmental damage.
The Benefits of Vitamin C for Skin Whitening
If you're specifically looking to lighten your complexion, Vitamin C is one of the best ingredients for the job. It works on multiple fronts:
Even Skin Tone: By slowing down the production of excess melanin, Vitamin C helps to fade dark spots and hyperpigmentation, leaving you with clearer, brighter skin.
Reduces Sun Damage: Vitamin C can help repair damage caused by UV rays, which is often responsible for dark spots, sunburn, and skin discoloration.
Anti-inflammatory Effects: In addition to lightening dark spots, Vitamin C can also reduce redness and inflammation, improving overall skin clarity and tone.
Skin Moderne Vitamin C Serum: Your Solution for Skin Whitening & Brightening
If you’re looking for a Vitamin C serum that combines quality with effectiveness, Skin Moderne Vitamin C Serum could be just what you need. Formulated with potent Vitamin C and other nourishing ingredients, this serum delivers a powerful punch of brightness, leaving your skin refreshed, radiant, and visibly more even-toned.
Why Choose Skin Moderne Vitamin C Serum?
High Concentration of Vitamin C: Skin Moderne’s serum is packed with the right concentration of Vitamin C to ensure maximum efficacy without irritating sensitive skin.
Gentle Yet Powerful: Perfect for all skin types, including sensitive skin, this serum works to brighten and hydrate without causing dryness or irritation.
Free from Harsh Chemicals: Skin Moderne prides itself on creating skincare products free from harmful chemicals and artificial fragrances, making it suitable for those with delicate skin.
Visible Results: Regular use of Skin Moderne’s Vitamin C serum can help reduce the appearance of dark spots, wrinkles, and uneven skin tone, leaving your skin brighter and more youthful.
Tumblr media
How to Use Vitamin C Serum for Best Results
Cleanse: Start by cleansing your face with a gentle cleanser to remove any dirt, oil, or makeup.
Apply Vitamin C Serum: Take a few drops of the serum and gently massage it onto your face and neck. Use upward motions to avoid tugging on the skin.
Moisturize: Follow up with a moisturizer to lock in hydration and keep your skin smooth and soft.
Sunscreen: Always apply sunscreen during the day when using Vitamin C, as it can make your skin more sensitive to the sun.
Final Thoughts
Vitamin C serum is a powerful skincare ally when it comes to achieving skin whitening and brightening. Whether you’re looking to fade dark spots, even out your skin tone, or simply add a healthy glow to your complexion, a high-quality Vitamin C serum like Skin Moderne can help you achieve your goals. The brightening benefits, combined with its antioxidant properties, make it a must-have in any skincare routine.

How to Choose the Best Cream for Your Face
Choosing the best cream for face is a crucial step in maintaining healthy and radiant skin. With a plethora of options available, it can be overwhelming to determine the most suitable product. Understanding your skin type, concerns, and desired outcomes is essential for making an informed decision.
Tumblr media
Identifying Your Skin Type
Accurate skin type identification is a fundamental factor in selecting the appropriate facial cream. Common skin types include:
Oily: Characterized by excessive sebum production, leading to a shiny or greasy appearance.
Dry: Lacking moisture, resulting in flakiness, tightness, and sensitivity.
Combination: Exhibiting both oily and dry areas, often with an oily T-zone and dry cheeks.
Sensitive: Prone to irritation, redness, and allergic reactions.
Addressing Specific Skin Concerns
Once you have identified your skin type, you can focus on addressing specific concerns. Common skin issues include:
Acne: Characterized by pimples, blackheads, and whiteheads.
Hyperpigmentation: Dark patches or spots on the skin.
Wrinkles and Fine Lines: Signs of aging caused by a loss of collagen and elastin.
Dryness: Lack of moisture, leading to flakiness and tightness.
Key Ingredients to Consider
The ingredients in a facial cream play a crucial role in its effectiveness. Some essential ingredients to look for include:
Hyaluronic acid: A potent humectant that attracts and retains moisture.
Retinol: A vitamin A derivative that stimulates collagen production and reduces the appearance of wrinkles.
Niacinamide: A form of vitamin B3 that helps to brighten the skin and reduce inflammation.
Salicylic acid: An exfoliant that helps to unclog pores and reduce acne.
Antioxidants: Substances that protect the skin from environmental damage.
Choosing the Right Product
When selecting a best cream for your face, consider the following factors:
Your skin type: Choose a cream formulated for your specific skin type.
Your skin concerns: Select a product that addresses your particular issues.
Ingredients: Look for creams containing beneficial ingredients that align with your goals.
Texture: Consider your preference for a light, hydrating lotion or a richer cream.

Unveiling Complexion Concerns: Understanding Facial Hyperpigmentation
Facial hyperpigmentation can be a source of frustration for many, affecting not only one's appearance but also their confidence. Skin hyperpigmentation face is a common condition characterized by the darkening of certain areas of the skin, often caused by an overproduction of melanin. This can manifest in various forms, including age spots, sunspots, melasma, and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Understanding the root causes and available treatments is essential for effectively managing this condition and achieving a more radiant complexion.
What Causes Facial Hyperpigmentation?
To comprehend pigmentation face creams and their efficacy, it's crucial to grasp the underlying causes of hyperpigmentation. Sun exposure is one of the primary culprits, as UV rays stimulate the production of melanin, leading to the formation of dark spots. Hormonal changes, such as those experienced during pregnancy or while taking certain medications, can also trigger melanin overproduction, resulting in conditions like melasma. Additionally, inflammation caused by acne, eczema, or injury can prompt the skin to produce excess pigment as part of the healing process.
Understanding the Importance of Treatment
While facial hyperpigmentation is not harmful from a medical standpoint, its presence can significantly impact one's self-esteem and quality of life. Individuals may feel self-conscious about their appearance, leading to social withdrawal and emotional distress. Moreover, untreated hyperpigmentation can worsen over time, becoming more pronounced and resistant to treatment. Therefore, addressing this concern proactively is essential for maintaining healthy, radiant skin.
Exploring Treatment Options
Fortunately, there are various treatment options available to address facial hyperpigmentation and restore a more even complexion. Pigmentation face creams containing ingredients like hydroquinone, kojic acid, vitamin C, and retinoids can help lighten dark spots and inhibit melanin production. Chemical peels and laser therapy are other effective methods for reducing hyperpigmentation by exfoliating the skin and targeting pigment-producing cells. However, it's essential to consult a dermatologist to determine the most suitable treatment approach based on individual skin type and condition.
The Role of Skincare Routine
In addition to targeted treatments, maintaining a consistent skincare routine is crucial for managing facial hyperpigmentation. Daily use of sunscreen with a high SPF can help prevent further darkening of existing spots and protect the skin from UV damage. Incorporating products with ingredients like niacinamide and licorice extract can also help brighten the complexion and even out skin tone over time. Consistency is key, so it's essential to adhere to a skincare regimen diligently to see noticeable results.
Embracing Confidence and Self-Care
While addressing facial hyperpigmentation is undoubtedly important, it's equally essential to embrace one's natural beauty and practice self-care. Accepting imperfections as part of what makes each individual unique can foster a sense of confidence and empowerment. Taking time for self-care rituals, such as indulging in a relaxing skincare routine or engaging in activities that bring joy, can help boost overall well-being and radiate positivity from within.
In conclusion, facial hyperpigmentation is a common concern that can affect individuals of all skin types and backgrounds. Understanding the underlying causes and available treatment options is essential for effectively managing this condition and achieving a more radiant complexion. By incorporating pigmentation face creams into a comprehensive skincare routine and seeking professional guidance when needed, individuals can take proactive steps toward maintaining healthy, glowing skin.
For those seeking effective solutions for skin hyperpigmentation face, Vigini.in offers a range of skincare products formulated to target dark spots and promote a brighter, more even complexion. Explore their selection today and embark on a journey towards skin confidence and vitality.

Time in a Bottle
You take the upkeep of your beauty seriously. Your vampire s/o isn’t afraid to play dirty in the name of securing your eternal love.
G/N reader, light yandere s/o if you squint
He watched you as you carried out each step of your skincare routine.
Of course he did. He watched with owl-sharp eyes everything you did as long as you allowed him.
And sometimes when you did not.
With a towel around your freshly cleaned and polished skin and a terry cloth turban binding your product-coated tresses, you stood in front of the still slightly foggy mirror. All manner of jars, bottles, and tubes lined the space in front of you like offerings to a saint of youth and beauty.
Hyaluronic acids, retinol creams, anti-wrinkle this, and anti-hyperpigmentation that. Cleansers and toners and serums and moisturizers, all of them went on twice a day every day no matter what. Even at your most sickly and exhausted, your beauty was your priority. Your dedication to preserving what Venus herself had graced you with was both a trait worth admiring and a tendency worth exploiting.
For years you had given him your heart and your body, but still you held your blood and your life over his head like a cruel master taunting a dog with a cookie.
“I enjoy being alive, Ivan,” you would insist whenever the subject of eternal life came up. “I like eating pasta, drinking wine…maybe someday.”
You would never give him a specific date, of course. Not even a general idea of what decade he could expect to claim you in. And while he’d gladly take you with silver hair and crow’s feet, he rather enjoyed this stage of your beauty: youthful but developed, mature but still fresh. And from the way you carried yourself, he knew that this version of yourself was your favorite as well. Your thirties had seen you more confident than you ever had been in your twenties.
You liked the way you looked and your devotion to extending the stay of this season of your life showed in every new purchase that vowed to halt time in its tracks. It was his clearest path and he would be a fool not to strike.
“This one is new,” he remarked, picking up a little green tub with a silver lid. He read the label’s promises out loud. “Lady Jade’s anti-sagging and wrinkle reducing formula, clinically proven to firm skin visibly within two weeks, cutting edge collagen formula…”
You cut your eyes at him, gently dabbing an oil on your cheeks that promised to minimize pores or your money back!
“Don’t go playing with that,” you said. “It cost me fifty dollars, and that’s the sale price.”
He put it back and raised his elegant, tapered hands in surrender. “Pardon me, my night angel,” he said. “These remedies of yours are rather expensive, aren’t they? And yet they’ll only take you so far. It’s a bad investment.”
You paused, sucking in a sharp inhale of breath as he reached out to trace a gentle line with one fingertip along the circumference of your face. Your spine stiffened, your nipples perking the way they always did for him.
“Time will have its say and take what it is owed, no matter how much money you offer it,” he said, his hand now caressing your neck. “Spots. Wrinkles. Nothing can stop them forever. Except, of course…”
You batted his hand away. “Cut it out,” you snapped. “I’m trying to get myself ready.”
He was undeterred, his other hand now joining its twin to frame your face, squeezing ever so slightly.
“How long will you let mortality touch you?” He asked. “How many more years must chip away at your beauty?” He bent to whisper in your ear, sending shivers through your whole body. “Let me freeze you in time. Let me hold the blossom of your loveliness in the amber of immortality, forever shielded from death.”
“Enough,” you said. “Or I’m going back to my apartment.”
With a parting caress he obliged you and took his hands away. “Of course, my love. I forgot myself.”
As he left you to finish your regimen in peace, you huffed to yourself. Sometimes you thought you should let him give you the Big Bite already, if only to stop his pestering. But really it was the furthest thing from what you wanted. The sunrises of Venice and the pastries of quaint cafes hidden away somewhere in the countryside of France still waited for you. Immortality could wait.
You leaned in closer to the mirror to examine the corners of your eyes, the shape of your jawline.
How much longer it could wait, you were no longer certain.

Reveal Your Bollywood Glow: Unveiling Celebrity-Inspired Skincare Secrets.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This blog is going to be all about Indian & bollywood inspired products and skincare tips. If you also want a blog separately about Indian natural and authentic skincare or hair care I'll surely make it. 🫶
Know Your Skin Type : Identify your skin type - whether it's oily, dry, combination, or sensitive - to tailor your skincare routine effectively.
Cleanse Like a Star : Use a gentle cleanser like Cetaphil or Neutrogena to remove dirt and makeup and a oil cleaner is a must if you wear makeup daily. Opt for micellar water for a quick and effective cleanse on busy days. (But I don't really recommend it).
Exfoliate for Radiance : Incorporate a mild exfoliator like St. Ives Apricot Scrub or The Body Shop's Vitamin C Glow-Revealing Liquid Peel to slough off dead skin cells and reveal glowing skin. And my personal favorite coffee scrub from The Bombay shaving company. Don't exfoliate more than twice a week.
Hydration Is Key : Use a hydrating toner such as Clinique Moisture Surge Face Spray for an instant boost of hydration or toner + mist from pilgrim works like magic (my fav 😭).
Targeted Treatments : Include a serum with ingredients like hyaluronic acid (for hydration) or vitamin C (for hyperpigmentation) if you are under 17 or 18 like me don't use vitamin c or if you want to use in very less %, I use 2% kojic acid for my uneven skin tone from pilgrim, it's very begniner friendly. (Always consult a dermatologist for your skincare don't go around seeing videos on insta and YouTube believing them). I recommend Minimalist if you want chemical bases serums.
If you are above 23 or 25 Incorporate a retinol-based cream like RoC Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Night Cream for anti-aging benefits. (Got this tip from mumma for y'all 😭✨️)
Sun Protection Essentials : Always apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher, such as La Roche-Posay Anthelios Ultra Light Fluid, to protect your skin from harmful UV rays. More affordable and effective sunscreens from brands — dot and key, aqualogica, Dr. Seth and wish care.
Overnight Nourishment: Use a hydrating overnight mask like Laneige Water Sleeping Mask to replenish moisture while you sleep. Incorporate a facial oil like The Ordinary's Rose Hip Seed Oil for added nourishment and radiance.
DIY Treatments Inspired by Bollywood:
- Try a turmeric, gram flour and yogurt face mask inspired by Priyanka Chopra for glowing skin.
- Use aloe vera gel like Deepika Padukone for its soothing and hydrating properties. (MY fav bolly actress btw 😭❤️)
Lifestyle Tips for Healthy Skin : Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water throughout the day people are not stupid that they are going around telling you to drink water, IT'S A MUST!. Incorporate antioxidant-rich foods like fruits, vegetables, and green tea into your diet for overall skin health.
Some of my fav brands (mostly available in india) : dot and key, Foxtale, pilgrim, minimalist, st. Botanica, organic harvest and aqualogica!
Fav brand released by a bollywood actress: Hyphen by Kriti Sanon, their lip balm can even beat Rhode's lip balm istg- and their sunscreen 🔛🔝.
Channel your inner Bollywood diva and achieve a radiant, flawless skin with these skincare tips and product recommendations. Let your skin glow like a star!

Pretty please can you share your favourite obscure beauty products? 🥺
Had to look through my entire resource list for this one!
HEMP Oil AND Tea Tree Oil (MIXTURE)
This was actually given to me by my family doctor. She knows how iffy I can be in regard to what I use to mitigate issues concerning my body. I had a bells palsy scare (💀) and part of what I was going through resulted in half of my lip turning grey. On top of that I had a horrid medication reaction which caused something similar to Blaschko's lines all over my torso. I got a chemical mixture and the oil mixture and the chemical one failed but the hemp and tea tree oil literally saved me.
I still love to use it till this day to solve scars, help with the rare acne episode and just good skin texture in general especially if you have issues with black heads on the nose. In my area these are sourced by local apothecaries.
Moroccan Hammam Mits/ Kessa gloves w/ African Black Soap or Morrocan Black Soap
These are amazing for really getting your skin clean. I use these once a week because of how stripping the process can be. The Middle Eastern ladies have me hooked on the mit and soap combo!
I'm dark skin and that comes with a lot of natural hyperpigmentation whether it's from heels, acne, or friction. The Black soaps which I'm sure anyone can get online are deeply cleansing and exfoliating. They leave you feeling like a new born baby.
GOATS MILK soap -> Lactic Acid
Goats milk Soaps are really popular in Africa, mostly for their skin brightening effects. Just to clarify, it is not a bleach or anything.
It contains lactic acid which is a chemical exfoliant.
I love to use it twice a week just to keep my skin looking bright and clear.
Furthermore, I used to make my own Lactic acid lotions, similar to Amlactin. I have access to wholesale 80% Food Grade Lactic acid and I dilute it so approximately 10-15% and mix it with a very basic lotion.
The ladies back in the day used to mix it with Jergens. This was for treating keratosis pilaris. Please don't try this if you're clumsy or don't know what you're doing or how your skin reacts to Lactic acid at different percentages. Lactic acid is not the best for melanated skin but in correct mild concentrations is a gentle deep exfoliant.
SEA SALT SOAPS AND SCRUBS
I love sea salt in both my food and my body care. I have a local organic soap maker who infuses her bars and scrubs with this and it works so much better than any over the counter scrubs I've tried.
You can make your own by getting some sea salt, grinding it up in a blender together with coconut oil, coffee and an essential oil of your choice.
I can't emphasise this enough, if there's one thing you take from this, please let it be this. In sea salt we trust!
My other source mixes sea salt, turmeric, citric oils and kojic acid to make highly exfoliating creams and body washes. Use that info as you may. These people are just like you and kojic acid, sea salt and turmeric have been used for years to make skin care which exfoliates melanated skin without the hyperpigmentation risk that other alpha hydroxy acids can cause. Education, research and safe equipment are all you need.
CLAYS
Ghassoul clay, Rose clay, Bentonite clay, French pink clay, Kaolin clay, I could literally go on for days about the different clays and how good they are for masks.
The previously mentioned soap maker uses such clays with combinations of dried botanicals, essential oil blends and exfoliating acids as a base.
However, clays like Bentonite, Rose and Ghassoul can and are used after physical exfoliation treatments to calm and smooth the skin, so you can use them as a little face mask.
Traditionally in Moroccan Hammams the
Black soap, Kessa glove and Ghassoul clay combo is used during the cleansing process
ON DRY BRUSHING
Dry brushing is a must, however I always manage to break the strap that holds the brush to the hand 😭
Because I got terribly annoyed by this, I switched to dry hemp mits to get the job done. Not sure if hemp mits fall under the product band but I just had to include it because I know damn well that I'm not the only one battling with dry brush handles that aren't user friendly or sturdy.
Check your Amazon or Etsy for these products, I'm 100% sure you'll find someone who sells them or a variation of them! Absolute game changers for sustainable, organic, and easy to source (for me 😂 ) skincare.

makeup steps for a glow-tastic long lasting base ♡
+ product recommendations and tips!
a/n: this is a bit detailed so sorry it's so long. xoxo!
Tumblr media
before makeup
what you do before your makeup can change everything. things such as how long your makeup stays, the way it sits on your face, and so much more!! it's the same way as you'd butter a pan to protect your food from buring.
before you do your makeup you should always skin prep.
1. start with a clean base.
- always wash your face. either with just water, or a water based foaming cleanser. my personal fav is the innisfree tea tree foaming cleanser! (Though be careful if you choose this one as the scent is quite strong, so if your sensitive be careful!!!) you can let your face air dry or use a clean towel to dry your face. tiny tip for drying your face: pat lightly, don't rub your face like crazy!! it can be harsh to your skin and cause irritation.
2. (OPTIONAL) Toner
- personally, I'm not a big toner person. though it has some benefits like an extra cleanness to the skin. i like medecubes toner pads from Amazon though usually I use them when I'm going to a fancy event like a nice dinner or something like that as they bring a better hydration to the skin. It really just depends on personal preference! My skin breaks out if I use to many products at once so I tend to avoid certain steps if I can just simplify, especially when I'm rushing.
3. moisturizer
- moisturizer. my shayla. the best way to make sure things such as foundation and concealer stays on and doesn't crease throught the day. my personal favs to use is the COSRX snail mucin or the innisfree dewy jelly tone up cream. (Again the smell is a bit overwhelming if your sensitive be advised!)
4. (OPTIONAL) serum
- I like serums because they make my dry spots not as harsh after concealer. i enjoy just using the COSRX 6 peptide booster serums. Though it is on the more expensive side. Along with the Madagascar Centella Poremizing Ampole right after. (I have large pores lol)
5. Sunscreen!
- my shayla #2. You should always be using sunscreen. If you don't use sunscreen I don't trust you. or if you just choose not to do it, I also don't trust you. stay away. I ask please that you use suncreen please for the love of God. ♡ It helps with aging, cleared my hyperpigmentation, and makes sure I don't get hurt by UV rays. like don't play!!
6. (OPTIONAL) oil blotting sheets
- I'm an combination skin but mainly oily girly. Oil blotting sheets are my #1 best friend so my makeup doesn't fall off like a slip and slide. it also just makes sure my makeup better penetrates (?) my skin and stays all day.
Tumblr media
doing your makeup!
1. (OPTIONAL) Primer
- I like a good primer but sometimes it makes my makeup feel heavy. I like doing it around my oily spots because the oil on my face tends to make my makeup slide off throught the day. I like the elf power grip one if your on a budget. but if your looking to spend on a good primer, Dasique's water viel primer is really good.
2. Color corrector
- again, my shayla, color corrector. I get red easily in the face. I'm also big on blush, except when it comes to my lower cheeks where it just looks like I ran a whole marathon. I like the wet and wild prime and color corrector. But I also like numbuzin's Redness Derma Tone up. (Though it does leave a light white cast, so if your a girly of color please stay clear of the product)
3. Fondation / concealer
- I personally flip flop between doing one or the other or both. It just depends. I like to blend with my fingers personally instead of sponges and brushes because the product tends to typically get soaked up by the blender of choice imo. And also it tends to cake up the product and not apply evenly.
If your doing foundation!
- For liquid pump foundations: I like to take one to two pumps onto the back of my hand and use a spatula (or if your like me just use a clean back of a butter knife) and lightly spread evenly onto the face. Blend and continue adding another layer where needed. If you have extra I tend to just take the rest and blend down my neck
Product recommendations: CLIO - Kill cover high glow foundation, Maybelline Fit Me Foundation.
- For cushion foundations: I like to take a bit with the cushion and lightly tap the applicator off with some of the product on it onto the back of my hand or just the lid that protects the cushion from leaking. Continue by patting, going from inner part of your face to the outer, evenly tapping. Blend out the corners so you don't have a line surrounding your face of where the cushion ends. You can also use extra and blend down your neck for a seamless finish.
Product recommendations: CLIO - Kill cover high glow foundation, Tirtir - cushion foundation.
If your doing concealer! - I like to take a bit of concealer under the eyes, on my chin, around the tip and bridge of my nose, on my smile lines, and on my T zone (aka my forehead) and in any other spots needed. Then blend with my fingers. Work your way from inner to outer so evenly spread out the product. For under my eyes I try to blend upwards and down towards the sides of my nose. For my smile lines I blend outwards towards the sides of my face and my lower cheeks. For the chin I try to focus on my under lip and the tip of my chin. For the forehead, evenly spread to the hairline.
Product recommendations: NARS concealer, ELF camo concealer.
4. Contour
- I go very light on contour because I have a already prominent face. Contour can change a lot. I mainly contour the tip, side and under my eyebrow for my nose. For lips I do the cupids bow and under the lips. I used a small fluffy brush. I use a round fluffy brush for my cheekbones. I have a very round face, so I focus on the hollow of my cheeks, I never go past my eyes with the contour and I try to make a diamond shape, only contouring the outer parts. See diagram for this part!
Tumblr media
red dots are where I don't go out of for contour. Brown is where I contour.
Product recommendations: to cool for school ART CLASS powder contour pallete, NYX cream Contour and highlight stick.
5. Blush
- I like Blush under my eyes personally. I know a lot of kpop idols do it and I love it. It also just makes my face look nice i guess. I use like a peachy pink color right under my eyes. I use Periperas ink velvet as a Blush. (😭) I like using shade 14 or shade 8 as Blush. If you have darker skin purple blushes are better for you and will look more like the desired color. I also like to re-enforce the color a bit more with a powder. Just a light peachy colors around the sides just to lightly blend it out more for a gradient look.
6. Powder
- Innisfree if you ever get rid of your no sebum powder I will have the most historical catastphic crash out. Now. The key to glowy makeup is to not look greasy/oily. Greasy/oily does not equal glowy. We are not trying to look like Namgyu from squid games hair. (Jk I love him and his greasy rat self lmao) I love Jooshca's tutorial on powder because it's so good. You want to go on the corners of your nose sort of like in a triangle. On your chin, forehead and personally places where you have placed any type of concelar. (Aka under the eyes and on problem spots) I also like to use Powder puffs or a small fluffy brush.
Product recommendations: Innisfree No Sebum Loose Powder, and the Maybelline fit me pressed powder.
7. Eyeshadow
- Now this is where I have issues. Eyeshadow can either look good or horrible. I like to start of with a base shade, typically a pinkish nude shade all over my eyelid and under my eye. Then use a peachy shade in the inner part of your lid and in the inner corners. Blend them together. Optionally, you can do ageyosal if you want. Use a skin-color shadow stick under the eyes, ending where your pupil ends. You can use a nude to make a shadow under the skin color. Then use a glitter of some sort (either on a stick or with a thin brush) along the skin color eyeshadow. Back to the eyeshadow on the lid, use a shimmery shade in the middle of your lid, evenly blending it between both sides of your eyelids. Then if you want do some eyeliner. But I'm not good at it and it also just doesn't look right to me on my face so if you don't want to don't do it. I tend to go for brown eyeliners more often though.
Product recommendations: eyeshadow- flower knows, daisque, romand. Glitter: color pop, peripera. Ageyosal: peripera, too cool for school/art class. Eyeliner: Heroine, CLIO-kills.
8. Brows
- I have large eyebrows that are filled in but you can fill them in and then use a brow gel and they look quite nice like that imo.
9. Lips.
- you can line your lips but it has always looked odd on me so I avoided it. I like the nyx lip liners and the elf ones btw. For lips you can look up douyin lip tutorials on Pinterest if you want something really detailed. For me I just apply it into the center and tap outwards onto my lips. Always hydrate your lips before putting on products! (Vasaline, lipbalm, etc)
Product recommendations: Cream shop lip oils, Peripera ink velvets, romand liquid lipsticks/lip gloss, NYX lipgloss, ELF lip oil, colorgram lip tints.
10. Setting spray:
- I tend to spray 3-4 sprays of setting spray. My favorite is the Tirtir setting spray, the elf setting spray, and the Milani setting spray. I also like to use a fan so it doesn't look to sticky or too wet.
11. Lashes
- you can use fake lashes if you want but they're just not for me unless they're extensions by a lash tech. I like to curl my lashes first then use a bit of Vaseline on a spoole on the tips to make them stay up all day. Then use a mascara. I personally like brown mascaras for a more natural look.
Product recommendations: Essence mascara (any kind), Heroine Water proof mascara, CLIO-kills mascara.
Tumblr media
hope some of my tips help you in the future to look even more gorgeous then you already are! xoxo! ♡♡♡

What's your skincare routine currently?
I actually spent the other week taking stock of how my current routine was working and deciding if I needed to change anything, so I have a lot to say on this
AM:
Wash face with water
(extra step for wintertime) Avène thermal water
Serum with antioxidants and niacinamide: just switched from facetheory Colloidal-C Anti-Redness Toner, which I got in hope of reducing redness (did nothing for me) back to facetheory’s Cera-C Pore Reducing Toner, which actually makes my skin look great. It has 5% niacinamide and a vitamin C derivative, which is what I want – I just would like extra perks (anti-redness). An alternative I’m considering is the Isntree Onion Newpair Gel cream.
(extra step if my skin is feeling very dry i.e. what I use during winter) hydrating serum: I’ve just finished Avène Hydrance Serum which I found very hydrating though too light weight (i.e. not good for winter for me) and honestly it lasted so little that I won’t buy it again. My go to instead is snail mucin: Mizon’s Snail Repair Ampoule (best formula but not so much product, what I’m currently using); or COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Essence (best bang for your buck, though my pump was really bad)
Alpha-arbutin: most recent addition to my skincare & it seems to be making a difference when it comes to discoloration (PIE). I’m using Beauty of Joseon Glow Deep Serum, mostly because this was the only product I could find here in Norway.
Caffeine for my undereye: I’m using The Inkey List Caffeine Eye Cream – while I can say it’s infinitely better than what The Ordinary offers (because why would you use a dropped for something that goes around the eyes!!), I can’t tell if I’m seeing results or not, despite using it for almost three months. Maybe?
Moisturizer: Eucerin 5% Urea Repair, my holy grail of all time. I buy this by the litre. Since I entered my mid-20s, my skin has turned dry. Combined with drier winters and the heating I have to put on to survive winter, this is the only thing that makes my skin stay intact.
Sunscreen: probably controversial, but I actually don’t wear sunscreen everyday, as the amount of light I get is ridiculous (though I do in the summer or if there is snow). Over the past year, I tried several ones and my top two choices are Beauty of Joseon Sun Relief (cannot fault a single thing and I found it to be good value for money based on how long it lasted me) and Isntree Onion Newpair Sunscreen (jury is out on whether the onion extract actually helps me, but I found the texture to be perfect for me and it actually ensures I apply a proper amount since it’s not too runny)
Dr.Jart+ Cicapair Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment: amazing!! This has been so far the only thing that helped with redness. I haven’t worn foundation in a year and it’s only because of this. I don’t even think it’s that expensive because I spent 30£ for a 50 ml jar which lasts me six months of daily use. Love it.
PM:
My routine is the following:
Double cleanse: I’ve been liking a lot the Beauty of Jonseon Cleansing Balm – so far the best cleansing product I’ve tried. Micellar water is a no for me, as I don’t like using cotton pads. Oils are mostly ok as an alternative, with iUnik Calendula Complete Cleansing Oil being my failsafe (but it doesn’t remove 100% of my mascara).   Next, I use a foaming cleansing gel. My go-to used to be Neutrogena Clear & Defend, but it keeps being sold out, so I’m now using  CeraVe Blemish Control Cleanser. It works fine. My main criteria here is price tbh.
facetheory Exaglow serum: the daily base, with tranexamic acid, liquorice root, and a vitamin c derivative, this in combination with whatever active follows has helped me reduce my hyperpigmentation so so much
An active (see below)
Moisturizer: Eucerin Urea repair, again.
Actives is when things get more complicated, because I rotate weekly between (combinations of) them
Differin (adapalene): game changer, I tolerate it very well and I recently increased it to three times per week  + Azelaic acid: I love it and over the years I tried so many different products (available in Europe). I find that for me 10% works just as well as 20%. Usually, a higher price tag gets you better texture (i.e. less grainy) but not better results. Isispharma Metroruboril was very smooth, but a more basic one works just fine for me – hence why I keep going back to The Ordinary’s 10% one. It’s not an area where I feel like I should be spending a lot.
Kojic acid: I’m using Dermaceutic’s Radiance, which works fine in combination with my overall routine. + Retinol: bit of a controversial combination, but because I’ve been using retinols for so long, this works fine. I’m using A313, which is v gentle. I bought it in Paris and it has a too thick texture in my opinion, so once I finished the tube I’ll go back to my fave L’Oreal Revitalift (amazing fragrance, great texture, very hydrating too)
An exfoliant: while some of my products have small percentages of lactic acid in it, so I never felt the need to have a dedicated exfoliating step up. However, I thought I could benefit from it and started using  facetheory’s Glycolacsal which has glycolic acid (8.5%), salicylic acid (1%) and lactic acid (0.5%).  I use it twice a week and it’s really good.
In addition to all of this, twice a week I do a face mask with benoxyl peroxide in the shower which helps tons to keep acne at bay BUT is infinitely better than using the cream, which has bleached all of my towels. The cream used to be a must in my routine but now that overall my acne is under control, I don’t need to use it as often.
This ended up being extremely long, but I love skincare and I feel like I learnt so much about my own skin and how to work with it and what products work in the past few years. I’m testing new things but in a calculated manner. And I don’t know. Skincare is nothing static and the whole process of figuring things out can be fun (and necessary).

Step-by-Step Guide to a Complete Daily Skincare Routine for Glowing Skin
Achieving glowing, radiant skin is not just about using the right products but also about following a consistent daily skincare routine. Whether you’re new to skincare or looking to refine your routine, this guide will help you establish the perfect steps to get that luminous, healthy-looking skin you’ve always wanted.
Step 1: Cleanse Your Face (Morning and Night)
Cleansing is the foundation of any skincare routine. It removes dirt, excess oil, makeup, and impurities that accumulate on your skin throughout the day.
Morning: Use a gentle cleanser suited to your skin type. If you have oily skin, opt for a foaming or gel cleanser. Dry skin types may benefit from a hydrating cream cleanser.
Night: Double cleansing is recommended in the evening. Start with an oil-based cleanser to dissolve makeup and sunscreen, then follow up with your regular cleanser to ensure your skin is thoroughly clean.
Pro tip: Use lukewarm water to wash your face, as hot water can strip your skin of its natural oils, causing dryness and irritation.
Step 2: Apply a Toner
Toners help balance the skin’s pH level and remove any remaining traces of dirt or makeup. They also prep the skin for the next steps of your routine.
Choose the right toner: If you have oily or acne-prone skin, look for toners with salicylic acid or witch hazel. For dry or sensitive skin, opt for a hydrating toner with ingredients like rose water or glycerin.
How to apply: Use a cotton pad or your hands to gently pat the toner onto your skin.
Pro tip: Avoid toners with alcohol, as they can dry out your skin and cause irritation.
Step 3: Use a Serum
Serums are packed with active ingredients designed to target specific skin concerns. This is where you can tailor your skincare routine based on what your skin needs.
For glowing skin: Vitamin C serums are excellent for brightening and evening out skin tone. It’s also a powerful antioxidant that protects the skin from environmental damage.
For hydration: If your skin feels dry or dull, a serum with hyaluronic acid can deeply hydrate and plump your skin.
Pro tip: Apply your serum while your skin is still slightly damp from toner to help lock in hydration.
Step 4: Apply Eye Cream
The skin around the eyes is delicate and prone to dryness, fine lines, and puffiness. Incorporating an eye cream into your routine helps to address these issues.
For dark circles and puffiness: Look for eye creams with caffeine or peptides.
For fine lines and hydration: Hyaluronic acid or retinol-based eye creams are great for minimizing fine lines and keeping the under-eye area hydrated.
Pro tip: Use your ring finger to gently pat the eye cream around your eyes, as it exerts the least pressure.
Step 5: Moisturize
Moisturizing is crucial for keeping your skin hydrated and creating a protective barrier. A good moisturizer will seal in all the products you’ve applied in the previous steps.
For oily skin: Choose a lightweight, oil-free moisturizer, such as a gel or water-based product.
For dry skin: A richer, cream-based moisturizer will provide the necessary hydration.
Pro tip: Don’t skip moisturizing, even if you have oily skin. Proper hydration helps to regulate your skin’s oil production and prevent breakouts.
Step 6: Sunscreen (Morning Only)
Sunscreen is the most important step in your morning routine. Daily sun protection prevents premature aging, hyperpigmentation, and skin cancer.
Broad-spectrum SPF: Choose a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30 to protect against both UVA and UVB rays.
How to apply: Use about a nickel-sized amount and apply it evenly across your face and neck. Reapply every two hours if you’re outdoors.
Pro tip: If you’re using makeup, look for a moisturizer or foundation with built-in SPF for added protection.
Step 7: Exfoliate (1-2 Times a Week)
Exfoliation is essential for removing dead skin cells that can make your skin look dull and clog your pores. However, over-exfoliating can irritate your skin, so limit this step to once or twice a week.
For physical exfoliation: Use a gentle scrub with fine particles to buff away dead skin cells.
For chemical exfoliation: A chemical exfoliant containing AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) or BHA (beta hydroxy acid) can effectively slough off dead skin without being abrasive.
Pro tip: Always follow exfoliation with a good moisturizer, as exfoliation can leave your skin feeling dry or tight.
Step 8: Face Mask (1-2 Times a Week)
A face mask is a great addition to your skincare routine, especially when your skin needs an extra boost. Face masks can target various skin concerns, from hydration to deep cleansing.
For glowing skin: Look for masks with ingredients like Vitamin C, turmeric, or honey that brighten the complexion.
For hydration: A mask with hyaluronic acid or aloe vera can soothe and replenish dry skin.
Pro tip: Apply your face mask after cleansing and before moisturizing to get the most benefit from the ingredients.
Additional Tips for Glowing Skin:
Stay hydrated: Drinking plenty of water is key to keeping your skin hydrated from the inside out. Aim for at least 8 glasses of water a day.
Eat a balanced diet: Incorporating foods rich in antioxidants, such as berries, leafy greens, and nuts, can help promote healthy, glowing skin.
Get enough sleep: Aim for 7-9 hours of sleep each night to allow your skin to repair and rejuvenate. Lack of sleep can lead to dull, tired-looking skin.
Don’t skip SPF: Sun damage is one of the leading causes of premature aging. Wearing sunscreen daily is crucial for maintaining youthful, glowing skin.
Consistency is key: Stick to your skincare routine every day, and be patient. It can take a few weeks to see noticeable improvements, but consistency will pay off.
Conclusion
A daily skincare routine doesn’t have to be complicated to be effective. By following these simple steps—cleanse, tone, treat, moisturize, and protect—you can achieve glowing, radiant skin that looks and feels healthy. Tailor your routine to your skin’s specific needs, and remember to be consistent for long-lasting results.
