#positivity #i dont know how to tag this actually so i'll ramble instead #i always say this to other people now because it feels nice tbh #i had one friend (who randomly disappeared a couple years ago D:) always say this to me and i adopted it #before i only had people tell me what to do and their advice didnt work or wasnt what i needed #or they get angry at me for “being too negative” and i hate it. most people still do these things #i used to try to solve/fix people's problems too because it's what everyone did to me so i thought its what youre supposed to do?#but i generally get way better responses by saying this. there is the occasional very negative person #who gets mad at me for it and is like “no i cant do it! dont tell me i can. dont mock me!” and im just like ok whatever dont do it then????#idk what those people want lmao some people arent happy with anythjng you say #also i forgot to mention i often take people's experiences and try to show i understand and relate and/or tell them them they arent alone #ans their experiences and feelings are valid. but i also get negative responses to that as well....#do most people not like to feel valid and less alone??? i thought most people seek validation and hate feeling alone #but maybe some people like to feel special and like the only one ever or something lmao who knows #those people go in the same box as the overly negative ones that hate everything you say to them #i forgot what i was talking about now #lee rambles #lee text

Something I keep thinking about is how whenever someone says: “this is wrong and inhumane,” in regards to Israel’s retaliation against Gaza, the answer, for a lot of people, is, “Well, it’s not our fault; they started it!” And like, I cannot begin to explain how juvenile and callous that is.

“Why should we provide electricity and water to Gaza? Hamas slaughtered us! They use Gazan civilians as human shields! It’s their fault if Gazans die!”

You have no control over what Hamas does or doesn’t do. You only have control over what you can do. Yes, Hamas murdered, raped, and tortured Israeli civilians in cold blood; yes, they use civilians as human shields. And yes, it sucks that they’ve all put the onus on Israel to avoid civilian casualties or provide basic supplies. But Israel can’t do anything about that. What Israel can do is mitigate the harm they’re causing. Is it fair? Perhaps not. But responding to unfairness with more unfairness when you have it in your power to act otherwise is wrong.

Whatever harm is done to you, you have a choice in how you respond to it. And Israel is responding to it in a way that is cruel and unethical.

The thing about fem! Yuu, is that I do genuinely think she’d be treated a bit differently than her male and gn counterparts, not in a weird way though ofc, just that some characters would treat her differently. Like, Leona is obviously going to be a bit more respectful to her, or maybe Deuce wouldn’t know how to talk to her at first. After a couple of weeks or maybe a month I think they’d just. Forget that she was a girl and start treating her the same regardless. Idk, there would be slight differences but nothing that’s like. Weird or anything. Because NRC is an all boys school so fem!
