I was scrolling through my art folders on procreate, and I found this huge panoramic piece of a bunch of fnafsb Sun & Moon artists with mini versions of their Suns & Moons that I really looked up to.

Unfortunately it never really got past the sketching phase and even then I hadn’t gotten everyone drawn who I wanted to.

But looking back at it gives me this big smile and reminds me of all the good memories of the fandom I think I might as well share it.

Also mind you this is like a year old so it may not be entirely accurate to the designs.

Why I like to torture myself with these elaborate panoramic pieces with like 10+ individuals on a piece is beyond me.

"just be yourself" has always been one of my most hated things to hear from someone. it may sound simple and easy to you, but when you grew up never able formed a single solid personality (because you grew up autistic or for some other reason) and/or have always felt more like 20 different personalities in a trench coat who fight over who is supposed to be in charge, that "simple" advice is so much less simple.....it can even seem impossible.

I think I found a way to explain the difference/connection between dan heng and dan feng with a silly metaphor. don't know if it will make sense to everyone else, but it makes sense to me.

dan heng is a cassette/vhs tape that is recording over the original content on the tape. if you are old enough to have used those, you might have accidentally recorded over things that were already on them. maybe you had family video tapes your dad recorded of you and/or your sibling as babies and you accidentally recorded your favorite TV show over one of them (and got in huge trouble.....I'm sorry dad 😅) or your sibling recorded over your cassette that you redorded things on and lost most of what you did)

the reincarnated vidyadharas get a new tape to put in the same device to record a whole new tape. however, in dan heng/feng's case, we know it was messed with. it wasn't a new tape. it was the same tape put back in, rewound to the beginning, and started over. dan heng's life/memories are recording over top dan feng's. in my experience with these tapes, sometimes when you record over top something, there will be little blips of the old thing that sneak through in between different recordings. (at least I recall that happening when my sister recorded over my cassette. there would be a minute of me talking and then she cuts me off and babbles for few minutes and then part of a song on the radio I recorded for a few seconds, then back to her, and so on) that's dan feng's fragmented memories coming to dan heng here and there.

they are essentially the same tape, but being re-recorded over the old one. therefore, it's basically a different tape at that point because all the content recorded on it now is different, minus some little bits that didn't get recorded over.

if you had a vhs for the movie shrek, but when you watched it, it turned out to be a barbie movie (and maybe after the barbie movie ended, instead of credits, it switched to the ending of skrek), would you still say that vhs tape is shrek? no, you'd probably cross out "shrek" and write what barbie movie it is instead.

that's basically how dan heng/feng works and why they are different people, yet still connected.

Grief shows itself in weird ways. Like i haven't physically cried since the day of his funeral, but i've got no motivation or drive to do anything. Way worse than my normal amount.

I'm clipping coupons for when my mom and i walk down to the grocery store today and i can't help but think that he'd be doing this if he was here. I see foods and things that he'd like and for a split second it's almost like he's here again. Not knowing that i'll have a little surprise treat to give him next time i see him.

But that won't happen.

being the only aroace in a group of people is so lonely/isolating because 95-98% of the conversation is always about sex/romance and I cant relate so I cant join in. if I try I get ignored. and I don't even care about this stuff so I dont want to be here anymore. the only other choice is leaving and being alone. sighs

I can't get the idea of Lee! Eclipse and Ler! Earth outta my head- they have such a good friendship, and she'd be so gentle with him. He's probably not used to tickling, knows what it is, but has never experienced it. So Earth is happy to teach him! She listens to him if he says stop, asks if he's okay, and and aaaa-! It's cute, and wholesome, and Eclipse trusts her completely- She might even teach him how to tickle as well, so we get some good ol Lee! Earth and Ler! Eclipse-!
