was not expecting a boogeyman session again with no changes in the mechanics tbh. but im really curious as to what might come next. however, im ABSOLUTELY not complaining about the boogeyman cuz what the hECK.

scar's pov is so good nowadays for lore. he talks about whispers literally left and right. he's gonna overtake martyn at this point.

also, scar trying so hard to make friends really ties in so well with the lore. previous session was similar to secret life and cabincore nearly fell apart so it's almost like a trauma response for scar to go around and make friends with everybody on the server. plus the fact that he knew he could be the target for boogey kills because SOMEHOW HE STILL HASNT DIED. HONESTLY, POP OFF SCAR, GET THAT DOUBLE WIN KING.

etho stealing joel's armor and giving it to cabincore guys was HILARIOUS. cabincore is healing and we love to see it. boat boys betrayal AGAIN tho. joel is truly gonna crash out if he finds out

also scar thinking that it was grian when scott's dogs teleported to him, cuz apparently grian's always... yk... watching. he unintentionally makes me SICK

oh hello there all!! ive been on vacation the last few days, still am, but i decided id focus on some of these smaller requests while I work on my next full length fic. as an official chris kisser, it was hard to keep this in a best friend way xD but i think i succeeded. thank you so much for your request! it was fun thinking about more fluff things than ... y'know. porn all the time lol. i hope you all enjoy ^^

★ chris is almost always lingering beside you when you hang out. usually he's standing beside you or slightly behind you to ensure that you're in his eyesight. leaving his view really freaks him out, chris struggles with object permanence. being able to hear you, see you, or touch you reminds chris that you're still here with him

★ he loves comparing your hand sizes together, no matter the difference. he'll spend a good minute or two lining up your fingers perfectly. sometimes when he's bored and you're with him, he'll mess around with your fingers and make you give yourself the middle finger. expect a bunch of "why are you hitting yourself?" jokes. hands are built for receiving information and his wants to analyze every bit of you 

★ you will 100% game together. sometimes it'll be fighting games but you both like doing co-op or watching one another play a single player story game like cod or telltale. same goes for movie watching, arcade going, and youtube binging. usually, he’s the one with the controller (unless he wants to watch you miserably fail playing dark souls or whatever)

★ chris is overly competitive with most if not all of his friends. you're probably the one exception though. it's not easy to force himself to lose but mentally delaying a button press or a drift by just a second or two helps you get ahead. just seeing you cheer and gloat (playfully, of course) in his face is a win enough for him

★ he's gonna drag you to his weekly gamestop / gameware trips, don't you worry. chris is gonna constantly complain about how half the stores are plushies and toys these days though. chris also prefers physical copies of him games to show off his collection. anytime the two of you pass one of those demo stations for the switch, he'll drag you to try out every game even if he owns it back home. speaking of which, if he has any games you wanna try out yourself, he wouldn't hesitate to loan them to you

★ sleepovers are his favorite. not only can he stay up late to fuck around with a friend, but you both feel comfortable enough to sleep together too. whether it's back to back, in each other's arms, spooning, or just sprawled out across each other, having you there puts him into deep sleep. not to mention, he struggles getting his head out of electronics, so when you're around, he actually gets to bed at an average time

★ chris isn't super fond of horror / suspense films. if you guys ever put on one, expect him to be grabbing at your arm or flinching against you when he gets scared. he'd usually laugh it off though, feeling silly afterwards. your presence makes it hard to stay scared for long. 

★ chris isn't that much of a swimmer, primarily because of the temperatures up in canada. but on the rare occasion he does, it's a pool party. eventually someone would suggest playing chicken. chris insisted that you and him would destroy the competition. his trick? digging his nails into your legs and giving you complete consent to crush his neck with your thighs. no damn way in hell he's letting matt and sam's duo win. chris would also let you hang onto his shoulders as he swam around, letting you chill as if he was your own personal floatie

★ he insists on sitting beside you when you go out to eat together. sitting face to face is fine but having you right next to him is much better. he can show you all the stupid videos and memes he scrolls through a lot easier. sometimes he might even purposely show you something stupid to earn a jab on the side from you. you never hit hard, obviously, but even that aggressive love was something chris treasured

★ if you started dating anyone, chris would probably take the liberty to sit them down and have a one on one chat to.... discuss things. you've been his best friend for as long as he can remember, he'd rather die than let you get your heart torn up by some dickhead. however there's a pretty high chance that he'd end up becoming pals with them depending on if they share any common interests

★ every hello and goodbye involves a fist bump and hug. chris is almost always the last to let go, meaning sometimes you guys stay connected for more than the average hug time… longer hugs indicate that he hadn't been doing the best and really needed that extra connection. hugs where he picks you up means the complete opposite, he's stoked and probably has something really awesome to show you. chris is just a sweet boy, all he wants is someone there to remind him he isn't alone

well, i hope this was sufficient enough for you! its so nice to write for chris again. my goofy ass poly relationship with jacob and chris has only grown stronger since the day i got into supermassive games ❤️ mmrnenmemerr i love these men. oh chris dearest . gets down on one knee.

The HTTYD hyperfixation from my childhood is back with force

anyways ngl? the live action looks good in so many aspects so far! But other things do look bad. My opinions will be shot out into the infinite space of the internet!! (long af post after the break)

Good stuff:

The actors seem to be taking it very seriously and I think they fit the roles well. Especially in the new trailer, in the scene with Hiccup arguing with Stoic about Toothless, bro. There is so much more anger in Hiccups voice like HELL YEAH!!

Some of the dragon designs look great RAHH!! So far Stormfly/the deadlynadders look good, and tbh Toothless (although very similar to the original movie) looks so cute!

Ehhhh Stuff:

Hookfang… he looks so… boring? yeah. Misses the charm of the original and I think he doesn’t have a very good silhouette, they need to exaggerate some features.

The Red Death seeeeems to have that same issue? We haven’t seen much of her yet, but from what was shown they got rid of her sort of red and greyish blue contrast and really squished her face a bit. As well removed some of her spikes? I hope maybe she’ll look better in the full scenes of the movie but we will have to see.

Both of these issues come down to the fact they are making the dragons look too “classic”? Like too similar to a baseline European dragon representation. Not to say it’s a bad thing, for example the Monstrous Nightmares original design does have those aspects! It leans more on a wyvern esque look but still has a unique design that takes its own risks, especially with the wings. Unfortunately those aspects are largely lost in the live action version.

I’ve realized this is becoming a really long post so NOW LETS REALLY GET INTO IT ACTUALLY BECAUSE I FEEL LIKE IT!

First of all Hookfang!! I really like talking about Hookfang…

Here’s the original design. Notice how the eyes are sitting ON TOP of the head rather than on the side, and facing FORWARDS. Insert smart thing about predators and their eyes vs prey eyes here. Also, the general fire motif through out the design. The spikes and wing tips look like the shape of flames. Also something I really like about the design is the wings having round spikes ??? idk how to say it but YEAH. The double horns and long claws are also important to point out, but contribute less to the silhouette as a whole.

Now here’s the live action design.

The very first difference that I saw of course was the eyes. They are on the side of the head, not on top. Now this can be counted up to it trying to be more realistic with its designs, buuuttt still they could have made the eyes forward facing more, like a wolf or something. The horns are the same, looks great. They gave him? her? Tbh I can never remember Hookfangs gender LOL more of a crocodile jaw, but I personally think an alligator jaw would have fit much better, more rounded on the bottom. And the spikes and wings are just boring!! They are 100% the “classic” or “basic” dragon problem we’re having. Also, in the original design lots of the spikes are HOOK esque! Altogether I think it could be better. :(

Now the Red Death!

Now, there are couple of KEY elements of her design that I think make her have a good silhouette. First of all, that HUGE jaw. It brings our focus to it because of its size and the long sharp teeth. Her mouth and jaw are where her most powerful attacks come from, including the bite that takes Hiccups leg. As well, she’s got the front horn that juts out of her face. Another aspect is her crest, the weird coral like silhouette to it. You can clearly see it in the side shot, as well as the jaw. And of course her stocky and powerful build, this lady is built like a semi truck. Also want to point out the clubbed tail, adding to her “brute force of nature” vibe. Cannot forget to also mention her colours, a deep red and dark grey blue and black that adds great contrast.

Now live action!

We unfortunately don’t have much to look at for her yet, buuuut what we have brings me some questions. First, it does seem like they’ve kept her jaw, although it is hard to tell in the scenes shown how big it is? or rather, where the jaw ends and neck starts. Her teeth seem to be much shorter. From the scenes in the trailer she does look to still have her stocky build, not sure about the tail club though. Also, seems like the wing size has been greatly increased, and imo this isn’t good. Her smaller wings in the original keep the focus on her larger body, AS WELL as the fact she sits and waits for other dragons to bring food to HER, rather than going out and hunting herself. Her crest seems to still be there, but is much less prominent, which again isn’t good as it messes with her silhouette and recognizability. Okay. What is going on with her eyes, especially when she is front facing? they look SO high up on her face but also they stick out on a large brow?? What?? Tbh, in every scene they showed her face it looks a bit different. Of course we don’t have a clear shot of her yet so we have to wait and see.

Can I hear Hideous Zippleback?

…. YEAHHHH

So the original Hideous Zippleback has some really interesting features that make its appearance. Firstly its body is very wide, as to accommodate for its two heads. It’s lower to the ground, with smaller wings. Its heads are its main vocal point that brings the design together. It has an aggressive underbite, a horn on the front of its face and those very thin cone like horns on the back of its head. Its eyes are off to the sides of the face but with oriented forwards. Also, it has two whip like tails to balance out the doubling of the heads. Another very important piece of the design are the colours and their saturation. The Zippleback has this bright green hue with that bright yellow underbelly, while also having splotchy patterning in dark green and almost red (like its spikes). This gives it an almost toxic look, that connects well with its gas and fire breath power.

Now here’s what we’ve seen in the live action:

So far, we haven’t actually had a good look at them. They are in the intro sequence with all the dragons flying but that’s it. I can see they’ve kept the wide flat body, which is good. Wings look a bit strange, like they’re connected on only one spot rather than having the wing membrane connect all along the side of the body. Heads seem to look okay? They aren’t very round, I believe the designers are afraid of round designs :( they also seem to be missing the underbite. The necks seem to be shorter and thicker, but I can’t really tell from the angles we’ve seen so far. Colours (as with the other dragons) are dulled, and can’t tell if there’s any patterning or not. Overall it doesn’t seem bad, but we will have to see.

Now the Gronkle (there isn't much for them yet)

We can break these bad boys down into the most simple of shapes, round wonderful and rotund. They're made of four circles, stumpy legs, and small wings. Gronkles have probably one of the most aggressive underbites, with two large teeth protruding from their jaws. They have a rough bumpy texture, basically they are just flying boulders (complimentary). Usually natural colours but some Gronkles we've seen have brighter more unnatural undertones. Key points of their design are the small and fast beating wings, like that of a bee, and the large faces.

Now we don't have much for the live action yet, but here's some I found in the same sequence as the Zippleback:

We can see that they keep round body shape (thankfully since they apparently hate round shapes) and it seeeems like the faces are okay? Maybe a little more proportional, it seems like they have more of a neck than the original design, and the underbite may be less pronounced. The wings seem about the same, maybe slightly bigger. Unfortunately because we haven't seen them fully I can't speak on the colours or anything else specifically.

DEADLY NADDER BABYYYY!!!!!!

We LOVE the Deadly Nadder. Stormfly <3 <3

SO. Nadders have many similarities to the Red Death, mostly in the head area. Large protruding nose horn, a spiky crest, large jaw. Nadders are much more based off of wyverns in a bird sense, unlike the Monstrous Nightmare which is more reptilian. Nadders have eyes on the side of their head rather than the front. Their wings are connected in one place along the shoulders rather than having the membrane connect all the way down. They have very tall legs, that are more stumpy at the bottom where the claws are. Of course they also have the very long tail, covered in spikes that can be shot out at will. Most Nadders we've seen have more bright colours, with splotchy patterning. The crest and the noise spike define the head of the Nadders, with the large legs protruding down from behind the wings and the long tail being the other vocal points.

LETS SEE THE LIVE ACTION!!!

ahhhHHHH She is BEAUTIFUL!

I really thing they nailed the Nadder design for the live action imo. The signature crest is just as large as the original, the nose horn is much bigger though. I don't mind it, I don't think it was necessary to increase the size but it still stays consistent with the original ig. The legs are perfect, tail is long and thin as it should be, and the colours are PERFECT. I believe the fact that Stormfly's design is so well done is because she is Astrid's dragon, and of course Astrid is a main character. BUT we will get back to that later.

Now it's time for our main boy,

Toothless!!! (aka Nightfury)

The titular bitchular, fellas! Lets get into it.

As most already know, Toothless's mannerisms and body style is based off of a cat (and some other animals too, but mostly a cat) He has a flat oval shaped face, with little ear things like an axolotle protruding from the back of his head. His eyes are front facing, but still set in on his head. He has a long sleek body, that tapers out thinning all the way down the tail. His entire body is leathery black, with sections of more prominent scales mostly his legs and face/ears. The bat like wings, and smaller dorsal wings along the tail, into that big tail fan and the end. His legs are cylinders with larger ovals at the bottom, with super small claws. As well, along the back of the legs, he has small little spikes that match his larger spine spikes. Now I would LOVE to look deeper into his design rn, but i'm losing steam so WE'RE MOVING ON! (Maybe i'll make another post abt just Toothless idk)

Now the live action! (if you can even tell LMAO)

As shown, the nailed it. I wasn't expecting them not to of course, Toothless is the face of the franchise, but still. On the contrary, there are some minor changes! He is generally more angular, especially noticeable on his face. His eyes seem a little closer to his nose from the side, making the width between his nose gap a bit smaller. His colour has of course stayed the same. He is far more scaly in this version, moving away from the leathery skin on his body and leaving it just for the wings. The taper of his body to his tail is way less prominent, making him more boxy. Overall, these are really just minor changes that make him more in the live action movies style. I think he looks great, would've wished they kept him more round and agile looking, but he still looks like our boy.

Now that's it for now! But, I do have some things I want to point out before ending this post off. First of all, I think (unfortunately) that much more care was taken for Astrid, Hiccup, Stormfly, and Toothless because of their MAIN main character status. I really don't want to think of it that way, but it this wild world of entertainment we live in they care much more about preserving a leading couple than what they consider as "side characters" ;-;.

Next, I can see throughout this analysis, that they were afraid of round shapes in these character designs. Now, this is definitely an aspect of translation from fully stylized animation to a live action, but I still think they went too far with it. They are afraid of the stylization of the dragons! It just an unfortunate aspect of the live action, it loses the exaggeration in exchange for "mass appeal" or something.

Anyways I'm full of opinions on httyd rn so I WILL be posting more. Also, ALL OF THIS IS JUST MY OPINION! I'm no expert character designer, I'm just a dragon girlie that wants them to be more funky.

Thoughts on age of Imprisonment

Really long rant ahead:

These are me talking to my friend who very cassually plays zelda and knows generally the zelda lore and the older games

More thoughts:

Nooooooo i dont like thiss!!! I thought ppl were just speculation with a fourth wild era game but i thought it wouldnt happen, i REALLY DIIDNT WANT it to happen, im so tired of it. Nintendo is just milking it so painfully

This game has no character to it!

In botw, the great calamity was mentioned EVERYWHERE in the game, tied in at every moment, the world was affected and newly recovering from the great calamity, it was the biggest part of the game! The champions were super well fleshed out characters, their relationships with the new champions, as well as their relationships and impact on bith link and zelda were important, the game made you fall in love with the champion's characters, the champions ballad dlc made me cry. Each champion had a completely different and compelling personality and character development making you really care about them... the ancient sages in totk have no character to them at all. They are wise calm reagle people who apear in a single curscene each for like two mins. They have no personality, they all look the exact same with the same outfits which look boring, they have no connections to the characters apart for being the same races and the new sages, they all have basically the exact same script!! and we dont even know their names!!!

Totk's weakest point i think are the memories they were executed in the worst way possible that they felt completely detached to the actual game. The imprisoning war had no effect on the world, we learn nothing of it (the deapths and sky islands doesnt even connect to the story well, they are kinda just there "as a result of ganon" but it sucks! We know nothing of the imprisoning war! It happened IN ONE SINGLE MEMORY CUTSCENE AND THAT ALL WE GET OF IT

Botw had the great calamity so fleshed out, we knew so much of what happened down to akala citadel and the routes the champions took back to their divine beasts!

The themes of all the characters in botw are so good! The champio s had their entirely different styles and characteristics, totk has the same monotonous boring zonai rocks and patterns on everything its so boring

This is totk criticism but i never liked or cared abiut the zonai even in botw, it was cool seeing the ancient mystery civilisation, but thatw as all that the theorists were hyperfixationg like MAD on, like every channel and i couldnt care less. But totk came and cashed in on that and just made the zonai the most boring and least creative thing ever. All that mystery traded for meaningless who cares about them, no fleshed out, nothing. All we know is that they were the civilisation that founded hyrule but we dint actually know anything abiut them or their culture, the yiga who were new to botw had lore that tied in well with existing lore and tribes and had such fun personality, the bananas and ego, which the zonai completely lack anything. Also the style is completely different. The zonai ruins in botw have completely and utterly different architecture to the totk zonai that they may as well be different tribes, i dont like them, so playing them in aoi will be so boring cuz i dont care about them at all

We also dont know anything about the ganon's allies, they are all namelss gerudo warriors which is so boring. At least with astor, he was probably the person who provided the prophecy that we know so much about, at least the yiga were interesting characters, at leadt there were the corrupt divine beasts and blight ganons, there were so many interesting villians on that side. Totk/aoi will have what? Ganon... he doesnt even have any character or personality or goals other than main villian like that is so insanely boring, i dont have any motive to want to fight in the imprisoning war

And thats where i think the outlier between age of calamity being great and age of imprisonment going to be bad. AoC fed off of the knowledge, the adoration for the characters and things and lore we were given in botw, crafting it into a love letter of a game to botw, we were hyped to see the champions and to play as them, there was a reason to want to play it to see all these things we know of the lore play out before out eyes

Whearas AoI we know nothing about the imprisoning war. It had no effect on the world, we have barely 3 mins worth of lore on it, we have zero conection to it at all. The ancient sages dont have anything to them and we dont care about them, so why would we want to play as them? I bet they will all have the exact same fighting style as the champions in botw, and we've already seen the new sages and their fighting style in aoc. Sure it will be slightly different due to their sage powers but it wont be anything that special. There is no lore we will be excited to see unfolding in front of us, we have no emotions or connection to these events other than diconnected cutscenes that dont have any impact. Even raru and sonya are so painfully boring, just the kind and fair and powerful founders on hyrule who talk the same calm way as their sages, its so incredibly boring. The zonai have no culture, lore or personality thay is in any way interesting, and they will be so boring to play cuz every character will end up being a zonai character probably most likely. Also link wont be there, so they will have to find some arbitrary way for him to be here, maybe aoc link, which just does not work at all with the lore of totk that we know it just wont work!!

The roster im guessig will be: raru, sonia, zelda, ancient sages, new sages, link, terrako, ganon

If botw was meant to be courage, aoc meant to be power and totk meant to be wisdom, then what is aoi? The lil middle bit? The nothing?

Idk im sad about this game existing, it only exist so that nintendo can milk the crazy amounts of money botw and totk made. I miss when each zelda game was a passion project from the developer, even botw was that but then totk and aoi...

I was actively not wanting a new wild era game, the art style has now gotten so boring im so tired of it even if it is good, im tired of the grand scale game in the same hyrule for THE FOURTH TIME! Let me remind you, A ZELDA GAME HAS NEVER REVISITED THE SAME HYRULE BEFORE TIL THE WILD ERA

Even eow im tired of the style because its the same iversaturated artstyle and plastic toy look of every other nintendo game and series and it doesnt have that much if its own personality like every single zelda game does, it just reuses the links awakening style (which is really cute and fits la but not eow) and doesnt have its own identity like every zelda game does its so sad

Also we've been here for so long, botw released in 2017, was announced years before that, we've been mingling in this era for 8+ years meanwhile no hero has done that before! Hey, I have some questions about this guy, because you said he plays the lute sometimes and I am a huge music nerd.

So, music-wise, what does he prefer? Loud, soft, fast, slow, high, or low? Would he rather dance a waltz or the tango? Would he tonally prefer the sound of a recorder or a shawm?(Renaissance era oboe) And how much would he move as he plays or listens to music?(ranging from tapping toes to full on dancing)

I don't know what time he's from, but if he plays the lute the music he's accustomed to is nearly guaranteed to be similar to the music of the Renaissance, and I guess I was wondering if Susato's music would match his vibe, or if he'd prefer the music of a different composer. (Susato is the only Renaissance composer I really know, guess I'm not that much of a music nerd)

Alright so HE specifically doesn't play the lute, his friend does, this guy just really likes it! And, well, imagine your little brother borrowing your guitar or ukulele and messing around with it. That's what he usually does XD, although he's trying to learn from the other guy, he's a beginner!

As for the music he'd like, definitely something fast and loud!! I think he likes dancing, so something happy and quick is definitely his style!! But I'm sure he can appreciate the calming rhythm of something slower too... I'm not much of a music nerd, so some of the stuff you mentioned I'm not really familiar with. But I love classical music, so I'd say something like Waltz of the Flowers, Flight of the Bumblebee or the Can Can would hit the spot!!

I think he'd prefer tango, but he's still a kid so I think he'd rather boogie it down alone! I listened to both the recorder and shawm and would say the recorder would be more his thing, sounds more natural. He wouldn't know the difference between a lot of music or their composers, just that it made him feel something good. That's what he wants when listening to something!

I don't have a specific time his world is set in, it's a whole other universe! But yeah, I'd like to think around the Renaissance, more Middle Ages and the time of Knights and Kings, when Legends of Camelot were told...

I give you the map for the recently created au I’m gonna call the playdate au, where over the summer, all of the neighbor’s kids often come over to play at Dream’s house (the Dream SMP). Dream’s parents are fairly abusive hence why he’s annoying and controlling to the other kids, trying to keep them from breaking something and such because as the oldest he’ll be the one to face the punishment later.

Locations:

Greater Dream Smp - the whole playground.

Community House - the gazebo, where the snacks, drinks and food are put out.

L’manberg - the pool and pool deck, where Wilbur is forced to monitor as the pseudo lifeguard because he’s the strongest swimmer.

Exile - a little tent area set up in the woods, where Dream sends Tommy for a time out.

Kinoko Kingdom - the mushroomed tree with a house that Sapnap decorated with Japanese lanterns.

Las Nevadas - the cookie stand and sand box that Foolish loves to play in.

Eggpire - the garage with some old red Christmas lights and Easter decorations.

Anarchist Commune - the air conditioned inside of the house, where they often watch movies and play video games.

Wilbur’s burger van - the cookie stand Wilbur set up on the other side of the yard to compete with Quackity.

Pandora’s Vault - the dark and hot inside of the big black slide, where Dream goes to hide from Tommy’s temper tantrum or gets too overwhelmed and overstimulated. Sam tends to guard the bottom from Tommy trying to annoy Dream. Quackity likes to throw rocks up the slide, but Sam also lets him crawl up and show Dream fun games with his cool lighter and pocketknife. ;]

Snowchester - the porch, where it’s just outside enough so they can eat popsicles without making a mess inside as well as a good spot for Tubbo’s stuffed pig to stay safe from getting all dirty in the chaos.

Limbo - the bedrooms used for nap time.

World Spawn - the bathroom

Niki’s underground city - the kitchen, where she convinces Phil to bake cookies with her.

on that note, i'm Really enjoying the area/level/dungeon design, and traversing it Without an annoying big blue star thing blinking at you is really good

see, on the one hand? so far (recruited bellara and got the dagger and fucked around in the crossroads and am currently getting murdered by murdering calivan so lucanis will murder for Me) it… works for me? like it really feels like getting thrown into the DEEP deep end, but it's a kind of. idk. sensible progression?

and oh my god ghilan'nain. i kinda hate how normal she comes across in the memory dungeon lab? (which. AMAZING QUEST) but also i love that SHE'S UNHINGED, that solas clearly held sympathies for her, the way i YELLED when you hear her voice when that dragon shows up in the blighted village??? amazing

(NO fucking idea how this would play for someone who's not familiar with the series, good lord the amount of exposition crammed randomly into codex cards???)

that being said. how the fuck does this connect from trespasser/tevinter nights. solas what Happened to you. like this is (part of) why i'm Not using saar as the inq in this run, bc even pretending they Weren't madly in love, it doesn't work. i don't think it works for Any inquisitor who befriended/romanced him (unless maybe one who decided to go full scorched earth and hunt him down at all costs)

in meta terms i know why this is happening but How is varric our insight point into solas and the connection to him. even if you're not playing them, this Should be the inq. solas doesn't lose a single fucking word about anyone But the inquisitor in trespasser. it's just this really tragic dissonance y'know

also the way this game is frontloaded is so fucking funny (i am also choosing to find it funny). IMMEDIATELY unleash the evanuris. IMMEDIATELY get solas trapped somewhere so he can't use his not-god powers to help you. FIRST "normal" quest is a horror movie walkthrough of The Most Blighted Village You Can Imagine, like okay! solas spends all of da:i being fucking coy about the blight and now it's like 'the evanuris are blighted. yeah they used the blight for power that's why i trapped them. they got out and immediately start spitting blight everywhere For Power. the REST of the blight is trapped in the evanuris prison. yeah the black city IS the evanuris prison. also blight is alive too. uh what else'

sidenote. did. did no one think it was A Little Weird to frame it like 'solas is trapped in the fade' - 'but not like us! we're also trapped in the fade but in a completely different way!'

i do love the fade conversations, it's got dishonored vibes
