omg thank you for asking me this bc i have sooo many thoughts about their relationship across the different continuities fhskjfds (i even made a gdoc filled with my analysis and summary of their different origins and relationship dynamics lmao 💀 i feel so unwell) so—!!!

I definitely think they can be either close or distant OR in-between depending on the continuity! I like it that way anyway bc it keeps things fresh and exciting. Plus who doesn't love the usual sibling angst? :D Like for example, they're clearly close in G1, and in IDW we all know they have a very rocky relationship and became distant at some point before eventually reconciling, meanwhile in Aligned they're a bit distant but still familiar with each other.

I just really love twin dynamics man, whether they're inseparable or are on opposing sides, or not getting along very well due to clashing personalities and ambitions or can't live without the other. Sideswipe and Sunstreaker happens to fall in various categories in both canon and fanon depending on where you look, but for me...I like them when they're close but don't always get along hehe. It adds so much to their dynamic because them having different views on things but still stubbornly care about each other because they're family is sooo so good omg

It's hard to specify the exact hc I have for them bc for me it's entirely dependent on their origin and the world they live in...for example in TF One they were (probably) constructed cold as miners and since we don't have enough canon info about them, we can make up our own :D

Like what if the twins came online at different times and only found out they were split sparks later on? How does this affect their dynamic? And imagine Sunstreaker who's only in Tier 3 struggling to get the resources he needed to survive so Sideswipe has to chip in? It would create such a delicious angst especially when you take into account Sunstreaker's ego in not wanting to need help even from his own brother, and Sideswipe feeling so run down and pissed bc his brother isn't making their lives any easier either by being an ass to everyone and himself. What if they were close when they were miners but grew distant as the war grew worse and they kept being stationed in different places? The war changing them until they couldn't recognize each other...

That's one example! But in general, I really love when there's tension between them sometimes but they still try to look out for one another bc they've been through so many things together and built that bond. I also love when they need each other but are also suffering from it and so they would need to either work it out or go on their separate ways, like siblings in real life. And I also adore when they're a package deal and are in sync, that they would kick other people's asses for messing with them, when the only one who truly understands them is each other—there's just sth so satisfying about this dynamic.

My heart's big enough to love different versions of them idk what else to say ���💖

Anyways, I'll talk about my views/analysis of their relationship in each continuity one by one, so if any of you are interested feel free to keep on reading!

In this universe, the twins has a very imbalanced and unhealthy dynamic, where Sunstreaker has a much higher standing between them compared to Sideswipe because he was his Training Officer. They were clearly close at one point, bc Sideswipe cared enough to tag along to watch the gladiatorial fights to accompany Sunstreaker, but this dynamic of theirs as well as Sunny's strictness and dismissive attitude towards SIdes evidently put a massive crack in their relationship, filling Sides with contempt and an obsessive need to prove himself and his worth to his brother.

Megatron Origins #2 and #3

Their relationship was so broken, so much so that Sideswipe didn't even care to continue his "rescue mission" on Earth and left his missing brother there, because he never went because he was genuinely worried in the first place. (I'll come back to this later) He was finally at peace and saw his own worth, and had no more reason to stay on Earth. He was free.

Spotlight: Sideswipe

Obviously they do reconcile later on, and well- impending death does wonders to make you realize how much your sibling means to you :D I do wish we got to see more glimpses of their lives before the war and afterwards...it's one of my gripes with IDW but oh well 😞 at least we got a few amazing interpretations from fans as to what could've gone between them after Sunstreaker's "death" and resurrection.

I personally like to think that Sideswipe did feel guilty later on about abandoning Sunstreaker back then, especially after finding out what actually happened to him, hence his 180 attitude towards him after the mess the Autobots landed in due to Sunstreaker's betrayal (but he didn't know that yet lol):

All Hail Megatron #7

Look at him trying to get Sunstreaker to open up...so he does care :) but yknow. It's a little too late now.

He could feel the guilt eating him up inside and later on beat up Bombshell in anger now that he knew what had happened to his brother.

Later on so many things happened--Sunstreaker's "death", resurrection, Bob acquisition, his PTSD and guilt from having betrayed the Autobots due to his fury and trauma, and we do see them reunited a couple times and reconciling, but we never got another scene dedicated to them until...

The Trasformers Vol. 2 #49, #50, #53

Here are my thoughts and observations on what happened:

1: Sunstreaker rushed to the site as soon as they landed and immediately began to search the rubble for his brother.

2: Sideswipe and Sunstreaker used to write or send videos to each other when they're apart, and they probably stopped doing that some time ago before picking it back up after they reconciled. Specifically some time after Sunstreaker's return to the Autobot ranks following his "resurrection" by Alpha Trion. It wasn't as if they instantly became close, but some kind of attempt was made by both of them to an extent.

3: Sunstreaker speaking in past-tense when referring to Sideswipe, and his expression in the second to last panel of the last image...is probably a sign that he was already trying to distance himself from Sideswipe, that he was forcing himself to accept the reality of their situation even though it was crushing him. *head in hands* Maybe he subconsciously thought it would lessen the pain. We all handle grief differently after all.

...And the time finally came to pull the plug.

Optimus Prime #9

4: The first thing Sideswipe noted when he woke up was that Sunstreaker wasn't there (unlike Arcee who was always there watching over him and made him feel less alone). He felt abandoned. When Arcee mentioned how Sunstreaker should've been there, he tramped down on his obvious disappointment and all his complicated emotions with a too-casual reply, and for the second time, we see him vehemently saying he didn't care if his brother lived or died, that he was sick of having to clean up after his mess, that he hated how he looked down on him, that he--

But Arcee's words were like a cold bucket of ice water thrown on his head. A reminder. It was enough to convince him. He didn't want to let Sunstreaker die, he didn't want to abandon him, not again. Not like he did the first time.

Optimus Prime #9-10

5: Sunstreaker's grief. Do you think he regretted not treating Sideswipe better? To me Sunstreaker sees himself as the best as thus expects the best out of others around him as well, and that's doubly so for his own twin. But that itself caused the rift between them, and I wonder if he regretted it after everything he's gone through.

I wonder if he regretted not staying by Sideswipe's side more, because in case you forgot, the only other person who kept Sides company during his stasis was Arcee and Sunstreaker only returned to perform the mnemopathic projection to ease Sideswipe's passing.

Do you think it was because Sunstreaker didn't want to keep seeing Sideswipe's lifeless form in the tube bc it was just a grim reminder of their hopeless situation? OTL

I know the twin bond doesn't exist in this continuity, but if it did...it would've crushed him even more to feel the other end of the bond die out. I'm actually glad it doesn't exist (but for those of you who hc it does, more power to you hehe) bc it makes things so much harder bc unless you communicate, you genuinely wouldn't be able to repair a relationship you broke. Yes they could have shut the other out of their end of the bond, but I like to think that IDW is a universe where the twins have been pitted against from the start by the narrative, the lack of a telepathic bond further ripping them apart, and it only took two deaths to finally get them to properly reconcile and accept each other.

In this universe, the two learned to be brothers again even if it was too late in the end.

Aligned

Meanwhile in the Aligned continuity, we actually get to see them interact later on in 'Retribution' (the third book of the series) and I found their dynamic there to be pretty fascinating. They didn't seem to be super close, but still close enough to know and tolerate each other. In this universe Sideswipe felt more mature, never letting himself get worked up over Sunstreaker's usual "I'm the best" bs and general arrogance and showing considerable patience (and weariness) faced with his nonchalance. That‘s probably bc in this universe they both were equals in many ways, each of them holding a significant role in the war effort (with Sideswipe being the Ark's best pilot and Sunstreaker a commander of a sizeable troop under him). I'm guessing this is why their relationship didn't deteriorate like in IDW haha

Here‘s their first interaction in chapter 29:

You can tell Sunstreaker also respected Sides enough to wait for his green light before charging off, even though he was clearly dying to go kick some asses, and you could also say that he was trying to alleviate Sideswipe‘s burden by making him trust his judgement. (Or maybe he just really wanted to fight lmao who knows with him)

Their bickering also shows how familiar they are with each other which is always nice to see :D It's not explored as much but from the few interactions we get we can already guess what kind of relationship they have here and I like the more mellow, mature dynamic they have in Aligned. Now if only we got Sunstreaker in WFC too...ha

WFC Trilogy

I mean we kinda did in the WFC Trilogy series I guess? (the animated show in case yall don't know) But that's like a whole nother continuity and we got even less there than in here 😭 but it makes you wonder...did Sunstreaker die and that's why Sideswipe hallucinated about him and was so happy to see him that he went in for a hug ??? LIKE BRO ?????? Let them be happy for once omfg

G1

And how can I not mention G1!!! By this point, the twins have already created their own fanbase build by the fans' hcs and takes that I honestly don't know where to start...

Well, I might as well start with the popular hcs LOL everyone has their own hcs of the twins in G1 specifically but some things seem to have been agreed upon. And the consensus is that they are an absolute terror and wreck havoc in the base, hence the Bots redirects that destructive energy by unleashing them in the front lines against the Seekers specifically (esp considering a huge chunk of the cons is made up of them lmao).

They are glued to the hips most of the times in the series, Sunstreaker being a vain, egotistical and sociopathic bastard who doesn't get along well with others most definitely playing a factor into it. Sideswipe gets along better with others, but only Sunstreaker understood his need for violence and

We even see them arm wrestling to test who‘s stronger, and I headcanon that this is because they only have each other to truly test their battle prowess without holding back. They are highly dangerous and capable warriors who fight flawlessly together, having such well-oiled coordination and developed complex (and risky) maneuvers such as the "Jet Judo" that could fell Seekers from the sky.

In case it wasn't obvious, I'm a HUGE fan of the twins being so terrifying that that's why most of the Autobots avoid them on principle ahaha. But I also love Sideswipe being an absolute menace who can't sit still and needs sth to occupy his time outside of battle hence his need to wreck havoc and pull pranks on unsuspecting bots. Meanwhile Sunstreaker uses his time and energy for himself by taking care of his looks (self-care!) and of course, painting :D

(Fun fact: Sunstreaker was canonically a mural artist in the old Dreamwave comics in case any of you are wondering where Artist!Sunstreaker originated. And Sideswipe was a trader who likes to con his customers LOL that might be where his prankster persona came from)

That being said, they are so so silly in G1 and I wish Sunstreaker's original personality as written on his bio wasn't toned down but well- this IS a kid's show so 😭😭😭

And lastly: the 'twin bond'. I feel like them having the twin bond is sth as old as time itself and I really am not sure when or where it originated. In canon it was only mentioned twice: once in Bayverse (with Skids and Mudflap) and another in TFP (between Dreadwing and Skyquake), but we've sadly never seen it get mentioned anywhere in canon when it comes to Sunny and Sides...damn. But who cares LOL we decide how things work 🫵

I like how the twin bond plays a part in it as well, how they can feel when the other is alive, or how the other feels. I love how in many iterations they can communicate through the bond and bypass comm links, how they can shut the bond and cut the other off if they had a falling out...

Everyone has their own version of how the bond works and I find that to be so beautiful hahha

My headcanons:

I love when they only have each other to rely on, where they trust no one else and prioritizes the other, bc no one else had their backs. They have this kind of...codependent dynamic that I love to see in fictional twins bc it can go so wrong in so many ways.

(Although...I have seen some hcs where Sideswipe would put the Autobot cause above theirs while Sunstreaker wouldn't care less about the Autobots and would choose his brother first...man, I sure love the many flavors of sibling angst :D)

Another favorite headcanon of mine is how Sunstreaker is averse of physical affections even though he would literally die for Sideswipe lmao (he loves himself too much to die for anyone else except his brother), meanwhile Sides is an absolute "casual physical touch !!! :D" bot, so you can imagine how chaotic it would be. I also love when they have their own inside jokes and makes fun of other bots through their bond...Sunstreaker would smirk and creep others out because he's usually scowling, while Sideswipe—who does a good job of keeping his emotions from showing—would laugh out loud seeing the expressions of horror on the other's faces.

And there's just something so wonderful about Sunstreaker who struggles to empathize with others because he's so used to completely feeling the raw emotions from Sideswipe that he can't connect with others because it feels fake or surface level. Sideswipe who can't keep still and is jittery because he needs to move and punch something or someone and Sunstreaker always spars with him without complaint (and he enjoys going all out anyway)

Sideswipe who is the extrovert, managing to befriend a bunch of bots despite his reputation but feels at home at the presence of his brother. Sideswipe who is brash and loud and rough around the edges but hides it well behind a bright smile and a cackling face. Sunstreaker who is the introvert and keeps to himself but goes along with Sideswipe's shenanigans with a roll of his eyes. Sunstreaker who refuses physical touch from others but tolerates Sideswipe's because he was the closest thing to home. The twins being super protective of one another bc it was just them for the longest time.

Sideswipe who enjoys racing outdoors to blow off steam in quiet days in the Ark and forces Sunstreaker to actually go out and not get cooped up in his room all day. They're both competitive af and the race was high in adrenaline and both of them were dirty by the end of it (Sides was practically avoiding getting rammed to the side by his furious brother—it wasn't his fault he fell for one of his traps!), but their race eventually ended at a beautiful place where the sun's orange glow casted an ethereal blanket over the view below (sth he knew his brother would love to paint) and all is forgiven (more or less).

I get so incredibly happy when people bring up the fact that Sunstreaker was a gladiator in the Marvel comics, and even though Sideswipe wasn't mentioned, it makes sense that he was too since they were always meant to be twins. It adds to their terrifying dynamic because they used to be gladiators and I looove it omg

Like in Bayverse, Sideswipe exists but Sunstreaker was only mentioned in the Titans comics by Ironhide, but he does canonically exist! Fuck yeah man. A win is still a win 😭 Just imagine if we could've seen the twins in the big screen bickering and kicking ass together...but I guess that's too much to ask for :/ at least we know that Sides was literally created to fight in the war (a war-build!), and by extension Sunstreaker as well. I can see their dynamic mirroring their relationship in G1, and I know a lot of fans have the same thought as me

Man...I know I could basically make my own continuity like everyone else but...I'm terrible at that LOL and that would require me thinking about every other character too and that would take a lot of energy dhsjkfhs I'm quite content with simply exploring their possible dynamics in different canon universes haha

OKAY so back at like 2020 or 2021 I was ACTIVE in the genshin rp scene and one of my friends made a fatui oc that, due to being the only survivor of a snow blizzard, was adopted into the fatui and raised to be a soldier! also this was before inazuma's release so shoutout to [unnamed bc we fell out of touch so I don't know if they'd like to be named] for predicting the house of the hearth!

anyways their oc was not only an absolute BANGER, but also sparked what I now realize was whumperflies in 14 yo me! so I copied it with my own oc. also had the stellar idea to think that if [friend's oc] was integrated, why not make it a whole program? badabim badaboom fatui orphanage. I shit you not the first thing I came up with is that the rejects get sent to dottore

uhhhh as stuff came out and someone leaked a fatui orphanage then the secret shrine maiden quest came out I TWEAKED. my oc got updates. leaks about lyney (and lynette) being from the hoth(house of the hearth) brought me back after I'd gotten bored. I desperately held myself back from telling everyone their surnames. I listened to their leaked voicelines. I read their stories.

it was not as bad as I envisioned in my head. fym arlecchino saved them!! white knight white knight!!! fym they're not sleeper agents!!!! fym freminet has a job he enjoys that is in no way related to the fatui?!!?!!! free time and healthy hobbies on my extremely fanonized interpretation of a fictional orphanage we previously only had teeny tiny crumbs about?!?!?!!!;1!?!

arlecchino releasing made me fully give up on the vision I'd originally had on the hoth. I generally do actually like the canon hoth, but I was super attached to this whole miniature concept I'd invented and shared with so many people.

so I'm making my own child soldier orphanage!!!

CONSIDER CHILD SOLDIERS IN WHUMP. WITH CONDITIONING. consider telling children that have nowhere else to go (and whumper KNOWS they have nowhere else to go) they can either join the military or continue whatever they were doing. consider training and conditioning them. consider reminding them where they'd be, had carewhumper not taken them in. consider "letting them off easy" via punishment, or threatening to put them to other use.

consider teaching those children happy lies of doing good, and shattering that reality when they dare be ungrateful and try to run away. consider always making the expectations on them clear. consider the bonds these children will form both with each other and carewhumpers. parental whump my beloved. consider living weapon whumpee that isn't an on-field combatant. consider living weapon whumpee who's allowed to be a person as a reward.

consider living weapon whumpee who was previously rescued from a different kind of whumper and is just perfect for molding into a killing machine. consider orphans children willingly volunteering for the military because the program is well known. consider generations upon generations of this where previous whumpees retire to work in the same orphanage so that they'll never have to move out, prolonging the cycle of violence with promises of family. and that family isn't even false, just conditional.

whumpee who was rescued from a vampire thrall trade and is constantly reminded where they would've been had carewhumpers not been so generous as to rehabilitate them. ungrateful little thing, always reacting so slow, cowering from the vampires the carewhumpers have taken in as if they're the same one, either hoarding food or immediately wolfing it down.

whumpee who was abandoned as a child and came in to a place they knew they'd be accepted, but gradually realized the danger behind it and tried escaping. they were brought back and thoroughly disciplined. it's obvious that they're using a facade once one simply reads their file or asks them, but that doesn't matter so long as they're obedient.

a whumpee turned carewhumper that sees nothing wrong with what they're doing. they were raised this way, and though it was very scary, so is life in general. they certainly wouldn't have survived in this world without this orphanage, and much less by being coddled. the children brought here have all had difficult experiences that have scarred them, they can't be treated like normal kids.

I'm honestly unsure of what to call this thing. I can't really go with the house of the hearth. at some point I internally called it erysimum institute because I read destroyer and the name beldam institute just sounds rlly catchy. also erysimums symbolize faith in unfortunate situations which I think fits perfectly. but the loneliness/shyness part of wallflowers (a prominent type of erysimum) is a little less fitting.

I'll definitely change the name because I want it to be as original as it can be!! probably to some kind of flower meaning rebirth or smt but idk.

Saiouma Puella Magi AU, but Kokichi takes Madoka's role and Shuichi takes Homura's.

For one, Kokichi's too naturally distrustful to just hear "I can grant you any wish :)" and not think ok where's the hook. So he just does what no one ever has & essentially interrogates Kyubey, so he knows it all even before he gets to make a contract. So, some of his classmstes are MGs & he won't become one himself BUT he still ends up tagging along to just protect them in his Kokichi ways. (Though I'm entertaining Kokichi lying about being a magical girl, because, well, it's Kokichi).

(I also got a small idea of Gonta being a magical girls and Kokichi originally tagging along him into labyrinths, Gonta also makes him a magic gun from the toy one he had, and at some point witches out & Kokichi manages to kill him with that gun. So he always has that spare Grief Seed on himself, bc it's still his best friend & he can't handle the idea of just giving it away or using it himself (he does anyway in the end).)

Shuichi prolly ends up being a new kid & it isn't like MadoHomu, the ppl who reach him first are Kaede & Kaito, classic. Kokichi's there, too, but he's his usual sus self. He's actually discouraging ppl from making a contract when they find out magic and miracles are real, which absolutely includes Shuichi. He's very vocal abt it, but he won't explain stutf, bc 1) he's a liar, so who'd believe him? and 2) he doesn't want them to witch out upon finding out the truth or, idk, murder everybody Mami-style.

Anyway, fast forward, bad things happen bingo & by the end of the run most charas are dead, there's Walpurgis nachting, and he makes his wish to bring back the ppl who died notably not as magical girls. Contract signed, he fights & fails, rip. I also thought it was similar to how he thought he could end the killing game by himself - he though he could finish Walpurgisnacht by himself, too. And he failed in both times. Whatevs.

Shuichi doesn't actually make his time travel wish for Ouma specifically, he wants to save all his friends. Timelines are messy esp at first bc he either tells then or it backfires or just makes himself look very sus bc he's trying not to tell them. He also realizes why Kokichi hadn't told anybody aby witches at some point, bc, yeah, it messes them a lot, assuming they believe it.

Still, Kokichi ends up one of the few people who are nearly always giving him a chance, not necessarily out of belief, but out of pragmatism - bro can stop time & knows the truth, that's just too useful. So they often work together & Shuichi grows closer to him but still we ain't there yet. But the thing is, Shuichi's time travel still makes Kokichi more & more powerful with each timeline, bc Shuichi usually goes back after Kokichi dies, so the universe figured out this guy's life's important. Anyway, another notable thing is the iconic Homura kills Madoka scene, but it's Saiouma with guest stars of Kaito & Maki. It's Walpy, it's not defeated yet, but the training trio are spent & just kinda accept their fate of turning into witches together. And then, boom, Kokichi appears & steals their Soul Gems for a sec & he's like did u know you can cleanse your Soul Gem with a darkened one? But it's a lie & he quickly tells them so, he just had a spare Grief Seed after cleansing his Soul Gem & he needs them to do some stuff. Shuichi can travel back in time & fix things, and Maki & Kaito are needed to fight Walpy here. He actually questions what happens to the timelines Shuichi leaves behin, and ofc he doesn't know. There's a chance they remain, so Kokichi needs Maki & Kaito to fight Walpy here.

Kaimaki leave, and Shuichi finally looks at Kokichi & realizes sth is Wrong. Kokichi struggles to hide how he's trembling & grimacing, and it's Kokichi, so obviously it must be extremely bad. Shuichi dreadfully realizes something worse, and he weakly asks Kokichi why aren't his wounds healing. And Kokichi just falls, laughing weakly, and Shuichi catches him & searches for his Soul Gem and, God, he knew it. It's nearly completely black. Kokichi laughs & admits he lied abt having two Grief Seeds, he only had one he never wanted to use. But they'll have the second one soon, so no need to worry. He asks Shuichi to maybe destroy his witch form as it's hatching, so he'll have the Grief Seed without any fighting… and he admits that he hates fighting, he hates this magical world and all its violence. He says that Kaito was right in calling him a coward, even here he just can't handle the idea of fighting any longer, he's so sorry. And Shuichi tells him he ISN'T a coward. He was scared, but he always followed everybody, trying to help, and when push came to shove he would always make a contract for the benefit of others rather than himself. He's a lot of things, but a coward isn't one. Kokichi actually tears up hearing that, and Shuichi promises he won't let him fight ever again, and especially he won't let him turn into a witch and hurt anybody, because he knows it's the last thing he's ever wanted. Even now he only accepts turning into a witch to help them fight to keep others safe. So Shuichi won't let him. Kokichi probably apologizes and thanks him and then he dies.

Keeping Kokichi from fighting starts off as a side quest that gains importance with time, bc it's something Shuichi won't compromise on (ah, trauma), which leads him to occassionally neglect others a bit, which makes them more likely to get hurt & ironically Kokichi more likely to make a contract, especially since he gets more powerful & Kyubey is more interested in him with each timeline. And that also makes him witch out super quick. Shuichi's paying more attention to him & over time grows resentful of others for how they're treating him. To Shuichi it's no question that Kokichi cares & is just doing his best to help, but nobody realizes that.

But the biggest obstacle in keeping Kokichi from fighting is actually Kokichi himself, bc he's too smart and nosy, lmao. Even if he knows nothing, he will find out quickly. Doesn't help that Kyubey wants him to make a contract.

Also, obviously Kaito is Sayaka-coded and Maki could be Kyouko-coded, so that's a thing, BUT it's usually Maki that witches out. Kaito is usually pretty close, but Kokichi intervenes & he survives, but Maki later cracks on her own (and since in the new timeline Kokichi isn't there, Kaito's the one to die, so he's still the secretary). So it's Kaito who gets the dramatic sacrifice. I imagine he genuinely hoped you could bring somebody back if you tried Very Hard & Kokichi called him a moron bc obviously it's not possible. If it was there'd be far less witches that there are. But it's Kaito, he doesn't listen to reason. So, Kokichi follows him to the labyrinth. At first Kaito's mad cuz what if Kokichi being there ruins the plan? Maki hates his guts! But eventually he gets hit pretty hard, and Kokichi is near immediately by his side, trying to help him get up, which kinda makes Kaito short circuit a little bc wait Kokichi's trying to help? But witch!Maki attacks them & Kokichi pushes Kaito away & gets caught himself (and choked until unconsciousness, naturally). Anyway, Kaito gets him away, Shuichi catches Kokichi & Kaito makes up his mind about going down with Maki & asks Shuichi to tell Kokichi that he's sorry. He doesn't get him, but he got hurt trying to protect him, so he'll believe in that if nothing else. F.

As for The WishTM, in the last timeline Shuichi lashes out at Kokichi for his willingness to just become part of the system. In no timeline has his wish actually helped, it did NOTHINHG, which OUCH but it also makes Kokichi think out of the box more & he becomes the Law of Cycles. And Shuichi realizes what is happening & freaks out bc Kokichi's doing it bc of what he told him & like Homura they end up having a momentTM in space & Shuichi remembers. He feels a lot of guilt even tho he also questions whether anything was real, but if it was, he pushed somebody he far too realized he loved into erasing himself from existence.

wowowow omg they have been running around in my mind for AGES now, ahem anyways

Tamlins and Andras met when they were fairly young, most children of the high lords have personal guards, Tam being friend to be a soldier, Cernunnos didn't see the need for one for tam, his mother tho, insisted. Tam at that point was pretty fucked up by his father, dead on the inside, little emotion felt and stuff right, and he's like 'idrc, but what's the point, I can protect myself just fine' and so, Cernunnos was like 'hey! There's some people I wanna punish, let tam fight them to death, if they lose, they lose, if they win they get the honor of being the third prince's retainer'

Stuff happens there's all the pomp and glamour and stuff in the end, be luck, skill or both, maybe tam is tired, (magic isn't allowed btw) maybe Andras is just better, maybe he got lucky but all in all, he becomes Tam's retainer. Andras originally joined BC he doesn't have much to do, hr lost his family to the war and was just kinda floating around, so be figured at least this might be something interesting to do

Tam at this point is pretty closed off and didnt run off to the warbands yet so he's just doing dirty work and studying right so there's little interaction b/w the two. Andras hates this, he thinks tam hates him, and tries to be friends and stuff not much progress is made unfortunately (mostly thanks to Cernunnos). Tamlin also thinks Andras hates him, I mean who wouldn't hate him (smh Cernunnos, manipulation? Not cool)

Then tam left for the warbands. Andras, instructed by tam was to not come, and so Andras was like ykw, im pretty sure ya don't need me to be ur personally guard and also went to the war bands, just a different one (could be the same idk) they're pretty awkward around each other, they start from the bottom as soldiers and work they're way up, slowly tam is kinda coming out of his shell, and he's no longer so detached from reality and they're sorta friendly w/ each other

After tam became high lord, they have more chances to interact w/o outside pressure of acting a certain way or smth, tam is still pretty cold and shit right, he's currently drowning in this guilt for the crimes of their forefathers as rulers. So he's working himself to the ground disappearing in his office for days, and like Andras was like, this won't do, so often he would bring dinner or smth up for tam, and Tam's like, bruh this is not ur job why are u doing this, Andras would just smile and say that's what friends do, but also that he should make sure tam is still alive and stuff

And they just kinda are like this for awhile, then one day, eris sent a note, and they rescued Lucien, at first Lucien was pretty depressed and wouldn't see people, Andras became his first friend from spring. For a good while Lucien was just kinda there healing from trauma and making new friends, one of which being tamlin, tam having this habit of keeping heir traits under glamour, continued this trend. So it was only after awhile that Lucien realized his new friend 'tam' was really the high lord of spring. After a couple of months or so, Lucien could keep up with a charade that he was fine, he isn't really, but it's just that now he's kinda more functional. He doesn't want to sit around and do nothing and hes offering to help and get a job and stuff, something something he becomes the spring emissary

time passes and tam kinda lets go of his more... Colder? And more pessimistic? Mindset, smiles and becomes more friendly with people, the trio all kinda have crushes on each other, Andras became pretty aware early on, BC ofc it's the pretty lil ice Prince he's been around for so long, Lucien also caught on pretty early, tho he still has some hesitations abt it, buts he's kinda chill with it after the initial panic. Tam on the other hand was oblivious to his own feelings for the longest time, when he did realize he's all over the place, thinking there's no way, he's not gonna ruin this friendship, ( still not quite understanding that he'd pretty and desirable and people genuinely like him)

I don't think there is much panic about the fact that it's poly BC it's lowk pretty normal, they live so long and stuff, and generally there's open communication and all that. So soon enough, Andras and Lucien was flirting with him pretty regularly, poor tam is pretty flustered most of the time, they get more comfortable with each other and gets more physically affectionate, casual touches hugs, cuddling never more tho. BC when it comes the subject of their relationship, it's a fucken mess, technically Tams the HL it's really hard for a relationship tobe public while not be attack and his lovers not being seen in certain lights and it just kinda sucks for them

it takes quite some time and a lot of convincing themselves and each other, they get together. It'd pretty good for them for a couple of years, they're happy and cute and all that, it grew from less of an infatuation and lust, and it kinda settles down to fond affection and love, a deep connection and all that sap, but it all comes crashing down after the curse and amarantha, at that point, one night tam asked for things to end between them, he's can't try to break the curse with that, it's unfair on all of them, the innocent party, Andras and Lucien understand but it just really hurts them all and slowly chip away at their spirits

Between the years, there was a couple of candidates that fitthe bill, but thensomehow one way or another they didnt last, some died, some left, one figured it out and left, it really wore them down and so tam stopped. Around the end of the 50 years, it was pretty terrible, there armt really anymore options, and so Andras was sent out, other sentries were much younger, and tam and the others didnt want them to die, or they were pretty dam strong and were needed if there are anymore conflicts. and so he went

and mother above it was terrible on them all, technically they arnt together, but like its not like they just stopped loveing each other, it was especially terrible when they found Andras' body.

after everything, after lucien left with feyre and after hybern, tamlin started having hallucinations, sometimes its andras, sometimes its his brothers, sometimes even his father. they would talk to him, insults, blaming, sometimes echos of comfort from this brothers and andras, sometimes he sees andras but he would often hear his father instead blaming and wearing him down

When lucien first came to the spring court, it was when tam recently became the high lord, so the spring court was pretty isolated, people outside of the court rarely met tam, he has this reputation of being grouchy and tactless, so lucien, didn't know what tam looked like or what he looks like. lucien was unconscious after the fight with his brothers and the majority of spring citizens are shapeshifter,he didn't immediately assume it was the hl who saved him. when he first woke up, he didn't realize the pretty blond who was reading (working) at the bedside was the hl andras realized pretty early on and absolutely loved putting them in situations where tam inst addressed as HL and has them interact, he dragged this on for as long as possible Even before they got together, Andras liked teasing tam and calling him 'princess' BC he's pretty and all that, (andras is not that much shorter than Tam, and almost as muscled) he eventually got Lucien to join in (lulu is almost half a head shorter and nowhere near as much muscles, tam doesn't not look tanky BC if inhuman proportions elongating limbs and stuff Andras dual wields swords,(hes proficient and very skilled but those are his fave) before he left over the wall he game one each to tam and Lu. they have promise rings three each, two representing the others and one with elements of all three, Lucien wears his as earrings or rings, tam keeps it around his neck on a delicate chain, Andras has his imbedded in his swords and wears one as an earring i have more ideas but this is getting wayyy to long, maybe I should actually start writing than just thinking 😔

Other heirs

some older ideas often involved the former summer and winter heir, eris the the spring children. Bc there was mention abt how the heirs knew each other and stuff. (Including my spring family HCs) The twins and eris was allies/acquaintances (that's a lie they're besties) and so BC they are all from the seasonal courts they're sorta familiar right, then at some point through some evtns and coincidences, like catching the others plotting against their parents (beron and Cernunnos) ect

They sorta just started bonding and stuff, then the twins and Tam improve their relationship, and he joins the friend group and stuff, he's the youngest so they kinda treat him like a younger brother, in return there's just this small period in time where he gets to be silly and a kid and a gremlin hehe

After becoming the high lord, despite the twins not being around anymore, tam still hung out with the others, they would lowk help him with stuff he didn't learn and just overall very wholesome and cute until it's not

the summer heir once tried to teach their group how to fish in more open sea, eris got it pretty quickly, the winter heir on the other hand kept didn't have much luck, and so the twins (I really need to find some names for them 💀) kept teasing till he froze the whole area skewering all most fish out, while this was happening, tam was practicing more aquatic forms in shapeshifting he too, was skewered (not severely off) They tried to come up with combo attacks, w/ magic it was majorly destructive, and so they stopped. It was like a snowstorm typhoon fire poison and all sorts of stuff all mushed together and very chaotic they had lots of fun tho Their next attempt was something like that thing in voltron(?) where they became a giant, the frame was the spring brothers W/ branches, minerals and stuff, while the more elemental ones were the limbs there was an ongoing prank war, where they would pull stuff during important meetings and shit, spring brothers vs the others, tamlins often being very trusting after getting over the initial fear and stuff often fell for most of the pranks During utm, tam never got a chance to say goodbye before the winter and summer heir died, he only heard the news weeks afterwards Later after UTM, he gets to know kallias and Tarquin, tam and eris sometimes finds shadows of their former friend in them

Thesan

Personally, I HC that Thesan became the high lord after/during the human wars, when he was around 500-700 ish, he was the heir and was trained for this position since forever and something something tamlin being not the heir went around other courts for education and stuff, where he eventually met thesan

Sometimes they met normally like he was going around the capital and theyre both in a store/looking at an invention at a booth or smth, chatted & became friends, other times tam walked in on Thesan and his lover. At that time it was a secret bc the older and more narrow minded didn't like that his lover is lower rank (plz they're fae, gender means nothing to them) and so they kinda became friends and stuff

Lowk I first thought of this connection bc of how their courts both sorta represent rebirth and new beginnings

When tam became high lord, one of the first things he did was go to thesan for help BC he trusted the other to be an ally, at first thesan being raised an heir was lowk sus of tam at first ( jus a lil) but then he quickly realized, becoming high lord didn't spontaneously change his friend and they have some cute bonding moments :D Knowing tam has a thing for music, thesan often gifts tam instruments and teaches ABT dawn culture and stuff, they teach each other lots of stuff, cultural exchange being hl, and for tam mental stability and being at peace with himself Tamlin sometimes jokingly calls thesan the chill and cool older brother he never got IN HIS HEAD, but then he'd feel really guilty abt it bc he knows his brothers would feel really bad for letting him feel alone and suffer, it just got worse after they died, and he never told thesan

I have similar ideas for Tarquin and to an extent nesta (but this is for tarquin), as in lowk tam is to Tarquin, what thesan was to tam in this HC, except more grouchier, more pessimistic, but still chill and overall a really good friend and ally and like FEELS YKYK??

Children

This is sometime after hybern, tam is quietly rebuilding his court, going around village to village, (or maybe clan/pack/region? Cuz village feels kinda... Missing something?) anyways, sometimes when visiting and fixing and helping reestablish & check in w/ local government, orphans would follow him around

More and more followed him around village to village, and like tam is kinda closed off at first right, but then he's a softie so he slowly warms up to them (and they do to him) and so it's like a cute lil family

They sorta motivate him to be more social, and less cold and broody. BC at first, when going around his court, he's helping yes, but he's kinda detached to reality and really just not in a right headspace, when they start following him, he's gets more alert and pay attention BC he worries ABT them, then soon he bonds w/ them and they sorta heal each other

There is a this pair of kids, one a really small fae like a lil flower fairy (think Tinkerbell or smth) who's inseparable to a ... Reptilian fae(?) I thought half dragon at first ... But Imma let that drop for now, the smaller one is much older, almost a parent to the bigger child (in size, and I'm probs actually thinking a toddler) anyways, the toddler loves tam, refuses to seperate from either of them. Pretty much imprinted on tam like chicken do or smth follows him around everywhere At first, tam was kinda cold to it toddler, but he's not just gonna be mean to him, and naturally they just slowly became family Small problem tho, the small fae, the older one, absolutely despises tam, they can't do much so they just do everything in their power to make teams life a bit more inconvenient, Singular sock, constant buzzing, being a huge pain in the ass Heh found family's amirite

Imagine tam winnowing away after reviving Rhys, tryna hold everything in, he feels betrayed seeing Lucien like that, then he feels guilty, coz he shouldn't feel that, after all he betrayed Lu first.

Falling forward, balance off, he catches himself on one knee supporting his weight on Andras' old sword. He could almost see his face, his figure floating in front of him, his voice- Slowing his breathing, he doesn't cry- the instinct long beaten out of him- but dam does he hate it. Not even able to show a normal reaction to his death. He stares at the ghost of the past, fading in and out. he was to reach out, he wants to follow but he can't. Arms heavy on the sword, he let his other knee fall. He can hardly lift his head. Please- please just don't go, he whispers he feels weak, clinging on the sword like its an offering, kneeling in front of a shrine, begging for the mercy of someone thats not there, not really. hazy figure visible his eyes only. mother why- what did I do? ill do anything, anything to stop it from hurting ........

........ anyways thats as far as i can write, heheh maybe i should practice it more than just thinking of it 😮‍💨

Okay. This post is gonna be about Bart Allen, and all the Thawne-Allen stuff.

This is what I’ve gathered so far about his existence is hopefully comic accurate, but maybe not continuity accurate:

It starts with Iris West. Apparently, it’s recently revealed to me (today) that this girl is actually from the 31st century. Because of the semi-dystopian era of her birth, her real parents sent her back in time to the 21st century to keep her safe. She was adopted by the Wests, but she doesn’t know her future origins until later on.

She meets Barry as a news reporter, and they marry. When they were thinking about having kids, Reverse Flash/Eobard Thawne comes along and murders her because his likes to make Barry’s life as miserable as possible. But because she’s from the future, her parents found some magic comic book science to “revive” her, thus placing her in the 31st century to live her life.

Barry finds out she’s alive in the future, and basically goes into retirement to live with her in the 31st century. He passes the mantle of The Flash to Wally West. Why he doesn’t just get her and bring her back to the 21st century, I’ll never know. Or he just wanted her to be with her real parents (which i would assume she barely knows lol).

I was trying so hard to find out why Barry decided to raise their children in the 31st century, but we have our answer there. Iris is future girl. Their children, Don and Dawn Allen, later operates as the Tornado Twins much like Barry did as the Flash. In Central City, I’m assuming. There was some clashing with the Legion of Superheroes, basically the 31st century’s version of the Justice League, but whatever. Not really important to Bart’s existence.

Dawn Allen marries Jeven Ognats. They have a daughter named Jenni Ognats, who later joins the Legion of Superheroes as XS. Jenni is Bart’s cousin.

Don Allen marries Meloni Thawne, and that’s where this gets more complicated.

Meloni Thawne is the daughter of Earthgov President Thaddeus Thawne, who irrc is a direct descendant of Eobard Thawne. When President Thawne learned of this marriage, the dude’s pissed because the Thawne-Allen feud is still on in his mind. He disowns his daughter, indirectly has the Tornado Twins killed via Dominators, and then kidnaps Bart.

Idk where Barry is in all this, maybe he went into the Speedforce and just chilled there through all this?

Now Bart had this hyper-accelerated aging thing going on as a side effect of being born a speedster (I think). Like nearly a teen by two yrs I think. Thawne grandfather stuck him in this VR so he can grow up “normally”, intending to make him a living weapon against the Flashfam. I’m pretty sure Meloni was locked up or something during that period of time too? Otherwise she would’ve done something about this.

Iris kidnaps Bart, and takes him to the 21st century via the Flash Museum’s Cosmic Treadmill (how they used that idk), hoping that Bart would have Wally West as a mentor. Instead, Wally ditches him to Max Mercury to be trained, and it plays on his low self esteem. Wally was pretty mean to him at some times, like when he gets recruited for the Teen Titans as Kid Flash.

But, hey, Wally did run him around the world fast enough to fix his accelerated aging problem.

Anyways, he gets some visits from his other cousin, Jenni, and his mom in the Impulse 1995 series, which was so fun to read. It was so cool to read them talking to each other in Interlac he Max being all confused.

This all makes me wonder: was Meloni ever Don’s lightning rod? As to Iris is Barry’s lightning rod?

Okay so crazy thing is this AU follows directly after my original pizzaplex AU. Well okay maybe not DIRECTLY after since the sun and moon designs you see are them after like. Thousands of years. Im still working with it but the premise is the world they live in is an odd mix of ancient/modern world stuff and futuristic magic. And since its a two parted story the follow up AU is called ": ROUND 2". so i guess you could call it that if you like. Im still working on an origin AU name though. (Ill edit the tags for these posts when i get it).

And yes these guys are much more fucked up mentally because they had to get through a mutative apocalypse to get there and pretty much everything is re-evolved in some way. It happens some time after the plex burns down so up until that point the timeline is relatively the same (unless i change it, at least). Its inspired of how adventure time did their stuff except we arent doing the princess and candy stuff kinda magic. So yes humans are still a thing, just sparse.

And the reason they practically look the same after thousands of years is bc idk Rule of Cool i do what i want. The changes for them are more internal anyway. Or deeper than internal. However you wanna call it.

It includes themes of reincarnation, specifically with the reader. And yn actually dies the night of the gregory's break in to the plex. (Yeah the first part does NOT end well).

It will lean towards romantic but not until after a LOT of work. You fucking die for christs sake. Not that you remember that. However it will be mostly platonic/pining, because i like the chase more than the real thing when it comes to reading or writing, funnily enough. Im not as familiar with writing romance as i am with drawing it so that might also be a part of it.

Theres more i could say, but i dont wanna say too much. Mostly because i'm not sure yet what parts are susceptible to change. As for everything I've said here though I think it'll stay pretty solid.

been thinking about it lately and Ascended Astarion = Dead Dove content and I'm not sure that's really understood, even by the writers. when I finally got around to the character I decided to ascend him with, I was SUPREMELY disappointed by the conversations options following it. it seemed like the dialogue choices were trying to push the narrative on my character that they made this choice w/o considering the consequences and they are bound to regret it. the closest I could get to answering his question of "why did u let me go thru w it?" was "I wanted u to be powerful".

but with that character? my accept Bhaal durge? that isn't the reasoning. at all. (related: "what do u want as a reward?" "ur body" was the closest answer my character could give. otherwise I'd've answered "murder :))")

for context, this run was born of a conversation w my friend discussing supposed content no one had seen bc "no one's that evil". we thought, what's more evil than killing literally every npc? I failed the conceit of the challenge immediately bc I can't handle senseless animal cruelty in my games. killing children? fine (u need a mod to do this in BG3, but I am thankfully plenty delighted to use mods), killing a neutral animal npc? no can do.

so I started this durge (they are the only character that can come close to "killing" Gale with that first interaction) run with the intention of killing everyone except Shadowheart (only a cleric of Shar can truly kill Aylin) and Astarion (bc I need to smooch him). (and there is a mod for playing an origin character as durge, which would have meant playing as Shadowheart, but I MUST smooch Astarion and I don't tend to do het or female romances, unless I'm forced to (*sighs dreamily* oh, Garrus Vakarian). I'm just not interested in that set of equipment in that way, so may as well just make a durge dude.) somehow something went wonky and Halsin ended up joining us and I was so perplexed I just allowed him to stay. (he's meant to attack if u destroy the grove but free him anyway, but instead he just showed up that night and went straight into his Moonrise spiel. is it bc the wolf Silver never aggro'd me and thus survived???) so I fixed the Shadow Curse all while killing every single humanoid and hostile animal in acts 1 & 2. including Thaniel, which makes Halsin's talks later in act 3 of getting news from Thaniel and the Grove hysterical. idk what I did but I sure as hell broke this poor man.

(on a related note, Halsin will give out to u when u accept Bhaal, but will still give u the "u have exceeding my expectations, also we should bang" in the same conversation. I DON'T KNOW WHAT I DID BUT IT'S DARKLY FUNNY.)

in the conversation when Astarion is expressing surprise that u let him go thru w it, my durge is just like, yes my motivation is that I like to kill ppl :))). it's not a sex thing for him (that is separate from the murder!), but he's still fine w the outcome. yes, Astarion looks down on him, but that's fine! he's allowed to be wrong about that, durge doesn't care. so long as Astarion lets him kill ppl he genuinely just does not give a shit.

(I actually had the idea that if Halsin were to ever rediscover his morals and tried to leave he'd ask Astarion to turn him so Halsin would not have a choice. as I said, this durge *does not fucking care*.)

this is probably the only character I will play that would let Astarion ascend bc I enjoy dead dove SOMETIMES, but not always or in large doses, but I get so few dialogue options that convey that in an rp sense! I don't think the writers/devs REALLY took that into consideration, sometimes. like, yeah, there are going to be ppl making fucked up choices but surely no one would go THIS far! for THIS reason! honey, u need to look up the Dead Dove tag on AO3, there are absolutely ppl making choices for those fucked up reasons.

(and I understand the whole "this confirms to Astarion about sex yadda yadda". even if that's not Tav/Durge motivation, that's how ASTARION would *interpret* it.)

(oh yes, and also, don't let Orin abduct Yenna. it doesn't matter whether u find out in camp or the sewers, Grub will not survive. I was devastated. if I'd known, I would have made sure Halsin was available for her, but she won't abduct a party member or someone ur romancing.)

long story short, I want to play a durge that even ascended Astarion finds unsettling. that's the dream.

Hello there, duck!

Your run sounds delightfully evil! I wish I could play one of those, haha, but I'm too soft hearted. My one evil run with my durge Salira was ended before even entering the grove because I felt horrible after getting rid of Gales hand! Seriously, I can barely take killing the squirrel as durge, and I always save Alfira because I feel horrendous otherwise!

(Fun fact, on all five runs I've done Yenna just vanished at some point and grubs was left standing in my camp, which was like...eh?)

And yes, Halsin is always somewhat of an issue, isn't he? He's just running around, causing mayhem in peoples games because he seems slightly bugged out, haha. I had one run, where he wouldn't go to the spot where we save Thaniel because he joined the fight against Marcus at Last Light and somehow got stuck, for some reason. Same run, none of his vocals would play, which was also very interesting. Everybody would make noise when they climbed or got hurt but Halsin was always silent and just there! And in another run the dude really straight up hated me - he was so mean and snappy, I swear to god he wanted my Durge dead - and then he suddenly went: "Hey you're super cool and strong and I just want to gently fuck you beneath the moonlight if you'll let me" and I was like: Say what.

Regarding the dead Dove: I've talked to people of Discord before, and some of them mentioned something similar a couple of times, but personally, I do think the writers actually knew what they were doing here!

Of course, I do agree that it relies heavily on the regret notion and that it somewhat shoehorns you into a certain narrative corner, I noticed that too when I was ascending him for research - I hated doing that, but all for the asks, haha - but I thought it was really fitting for what it is!

The bad ending, that is. I know we all somewhat forget that because of how people view him as a character, but ascension is the bad ending. Even on an evil run, where your character may have considered all options, it is very likely that Tav hasn't accounted for one very important part of being a true vampire.

The obsession.

It's still somewhat mild in the game, though definitely there, but it will only get stronger as time goes on, and it will probably get to the point that the only escape is death. Either his or Tav's. So, in the end, ascension will come with an armload of regret and the writers were making sure we know that.

And, on top of that, even if we let him ascend in a pursuit for power - or in in your durge's special case: murder :) - we still cast spawn Astarion aside because he doesn't fit our needs, thus making it very clear to him that who he is isn't enough and his behaviour is the price we now pay.

It's pretty much the same with all the other companions as well - justiciar Shadowheart and ascended Lae'zel, for example. However, it doesn't bother us as much, because we have different expectations towards ascended Astarion than, for example, dark justiciar Shadowheart. We don't expect a positive narrative here, a narrative where becoming shady-shar's loyal subject isn't an objectively dumb decision to make, so we don't mind the dead dove as much. It's exactly what we've been expecting - and Aylin even warned us how Shadowheart would change upon becoming a dark justiciar - so yepp. This went exactly how we thought it would and this is what we wanted.

Astarion, however, is a somewhat special case, because his bad ending is, by far, the one that gets the most romanticised. He's so heavily romanticised by so many, that the bad parts nearly start to fade, even with those who don't like the ascended ending. It becomes just 'the other ending', if you will.

And yet, it's still the bad ending.

Ascension is the bad ending for a character that we've somewhat given up on. That we misunderstood so deeply, mayhaps, that we traded his entire being for power and, quite frankly, beauty. Lil (long) simblr gratitude day post

I wanted to make a post shouting out some of my favorite creators, storytellers, and just general simmers from over the last year, mainly focused on ts4 since that's where my attention has been the most. Long post ahead so it's going under a cut. If you're not tagged please know I did wake up late today so it's not as complete of a list as I wanted it to be!!

@adelarsims - You are an essential in my mods folder!! I love how much realism and/or character your cc adds to sims, from things like the piercing holes to the wonky glasses to the mechanic overlay... Just so many little things that I can't imagine not having in my game or on certain characters now. Speaking of characters, your sims both original and premade are always so gorgeous, and I really enjoy your interpretations of wg and jeb. & Thank you for being WCIF friendly, I know it takes time to get that info but it's so appreciated, u've help me find some very beloved pieces of CC. Also the level of dedication u have to organizing your mods folder is incredible and you've inspired me a lot to get my folder's act together finally!! Which is SUCH a QoL improvement

@bearphase - I adore the bright legacy and I admire all the little details and effort you put into your posts, like fixing clipping issues, making icons and templates for custom careers or story events, ur creativity really shines through. You've also reminded me how fun NSB can be and inspired me to get back to it and my human enough gameplay and I can't thank u for that enough, it's got me sooo excited for future simming endeavors

@daisydezem - You've been a welcome addition on my dash back since POSE, which was a fantastic first community experience for me and so much fun, & I love your gameplay & love how much work u put into rainbowsin! (I adore Venus so much btw!!) I hope you're healing well and that u have a lovely new year!!

@divinedionym - CLAIRE!!! I was SO happy to see you dipping your toes back in the community I missed you on my dash! and while I adored ur vatores and their story and ur an incredible storyteller, I'm glad you've been able to pivot into something more enjoyable for u. I hope you have lots of fun in the coming year and I can't wait to see what Aspen gets up to… or into… especially with his vampire BF. Aside from that idk if you'll ever wanna run another sims server, but I did want to give you a late shoutout and props for that bc I know from experience it can be difficult and I really loved how you ran yours! I could just be an anxious bitch but I feel like its so hard to find comfortable servers.... and esp the storytellers one was so cozy and helpful, and ur management of it was *chefs kiss* I've also really enjoyed it every time we've talked, tho I'm sorry I'm so shy 😭😭

@earthmoonz - LONG TIME MUTUAL ALERT ….. ur sims are always so gorgeous. Love the Devereauxs and... Max and Lena… WOO. I support womens and nonbinary rights. and wrongs. Wifey has been SO good and I'm pumped to see where the rest of the story goes. U have a natural talent for storytelling and I really appreciate how much care u put into your characters. Everyone read wifey today rn

@hauntedtrait - Another mutual I enjoy every time I see you on my dash!! Your Lilith is drop dead gorgeous but honestly so many of your sims are. I love ur premade makeovers and Dakota is sooo pretty I'm obsessed. I can't wait 2 see who he ends up with! :]

@horusmenhosetix - I love seeing u on my dash and every time we've talked has been so lovely!! There's been so many times you've made me want to jump back into my projects for ts2 or even go back to ts3 once I have the space to download it. I love your s2cc and god ur sims …. its been a year but I still smile whenever I think about the vatore siblings you shared jhskfdh they're so perfect its got me inspired to throw together an s4 save whenever I get my mods folder sorted. & I'm so excited to go thru ur downloads tag and fill that baby UP with ur stuff next time I work on that !!!!!!!!

@myshunosun - One of my favorite CC creators, pretty sure my folder has all of your stuff in it bc I couldn't help myself. Always impressed with the quality and I love the variety. Thank u for sharing such incredible work with us!

@nucrests - I downloaded a lot of ur cc more recently but MY BOYS!!! U'VE CLOTHED MY BOYS!!! You make such good quality content and I'm always a huge fan of those that help me give my male sims some flair and style, thank u! :')

@oshinsimblr - Long 1 incoming... While I've never been a sims 4 hater, like a lot of people I've still struggled with the gameplay aspect of this iteration, so it's been really inspiring to watch how you go about your game and immerse yourself in it, see all the care you put into your sims. I have to thank you for the videos you've made on it, like the one on how to make sims you connect to, season 1 of Lovesick where you went basically vanilla with the specific intent to show people how much you can do with imagination and what that looks like in gameplay! It's been literally game-changing for me lol and helped me to have more fun with my saves, even if they're not one of the rare few that starts out off the rails, I get more enjoyment playing it out until things do start happening outside of my control. & YOUR CC RECS!! I've downloaded so many of the mods you've recommended and I love how much they fill out the game. On the topic of Lovesick, I have not been able 2 get enough!! I'm so hooked lmao. Watching this series has really taken me back to the days when I was a teen reading like those particularly juicy drama-filled sims 3 stories you can't help but to keep clicking "next page" on, except Lovesick is so solid writing-wise. SO excited to see where Lizbeth is going in her life!!

@simandy - Your hairs have been an essential in my CAS folder for so long, and I've been so impressed with the evolution of your creations over the years. I've always liked your work but GODDAMN the quality always blows me away these days!! & I really, really adore and appreciate the variety! @squea - ANOTHER SORT OF LONG ONE BUT ... Your sims just POP!!! SO much character, and your edits and art r phenomenal. Corn is one of my favorite little digital guys I've had the pleasure of experiencing on line in all my years in the sims community reading stories and gameplay. If Cornelius has a million fans I am one of them. If Cornelius has ten fans I am one of them. If Cornelius has no fans I am no longer on the earth. If world against Cornelius, I am against the world. So on and so forth TBH you've also helped me have a lot more fun with the sims 4 talking about how you enjoy your game, and have a healthier mindset about my place in the community and connect back with the reason I made this blog in the first place, which was just to have fun and archive something I love, regardless of whether it got any attention or not! I started going MIA a bit post 2019 after really getting involved in the community, for Life Happens reasons, and naturally the lack of consistent posting for a while meant less eyes on whatever I came back to share. For a while I let that discourage me esp when a lot of effort was put into something, but after you posted about just genuinely enjoying ur game and loving what you made regardless of notes it made me realize what I was doing and helped me get back to that state of mind. Now whatever I make gets to matter simply because it matters to me, even if I post it at like 3am bc I'm so excited and no one ever sees it bc of that DHKDHKHSD. & I feel like I have u to thank for that!! U turned da lightbulb on

@thefoxburyinstitute - I could not make a gratitude post without forgetting to include the foxbury institute!! I've been messing around more with making CC the last couple of months and your blog has been so incredibly helpful, and I highly recommend everyone interested in creating or just wanting to maintenance and mend their mods folder a bit check them out!

@tricoufamily - YOUR RENDERS ARE SO GORGEOUSSS and I love your take on the Villareals. I never ran into the original story so I'm really excited tbh to see whats up ur sleeve... also I love everything you've shared about two headed lamb so far, so eerie and offputting in the best way. @warwickroyals - Ok so first off your clothing is a STAPLE in my folder for my more wealthy and/or fashion-oriented sims! And as for the Warwick Legacy? One of my absolute favorite simblr stories I've read. I still remember when I started it, it was pretty late at night so I was just planning on reading a handful of posts and then picking it back up the next day. That did not happen I could not stop. Straight up stayed up the entire night bingeing all the way to the latest post (which was the Big Phillip Thing. I had to get up from my computer to pace I was having a Moment LOL) I've got some catching up to do but so far I think that's been my favorite arc. Aside from that your editing is beautiful, and I've always been a character enjoyer so I'm in love with how much thought you've put into all of yours, and the fact we get to learn so much about them. I think you do a really good job of balancing the cast and I really dig your storytelling style in general.

@whimsyalien I know u post moreso on twitter but since u ARE technically also on simblr... I just wanna say I love the polaris legacy and thank you so much for all the poses and templates you share!!!

@windbrook THANK YOU for making so many fantastic builds and for sharing your saves, it's one of my absolute favorites. Also all the original sims u post are so striking, and ur cartoon-ish makeovers were so much fun!! Loving the recent builds/world pics u shared as well, and looking forward to whatever you create whether its in sims 4 or a previous game in the series!

@yooniesim Your cc is a more recent addition to my folder but there's so many things you've made and I'm sure will make that are essentials there now, like the teeth and body hair and god that necklace set for men is a necessity, but outside of that I love a lot of the other CAS CC you make you have some of the cutest hairs and I really adore the accessories! Thank you also for speaking out on certain issues within the community.

To My Followers: thank u all for sticking with me even as I've been a biiit flaky over the years. What news to tell ya?

Some might have read it I finally updated my game last weekend and it took me half of the day bc so much updated after this big last update and I reduce my game each time to entire vanilla deleting my copies, compare the paths and files, download the updated originals and so on. No problems this way with everything working fine.

Didn't do much though as I wante to see if the game runs smooth and constantly or if it crashes after a while. It did very well so I took a few pics I needed for the story anyways I'm also still spending most on in my free time after work.

I selected some final music for chapter 01 that can be clicked onto and listened to in the background while reading the chapter is my idea behind it.

Idk if anyone will ever do but I just think it adds something athmospheric to it, maybe helps to have a better picture as we know every picture of a movie is supported by music in some way that makes us dive far better into it.

I've started saving links for creating Hizumi so I quickly find them and do not have to search all over nexus again. Female V has too many cloths fr. It pains me already.

I'm not cetain when I create them but I will need them present in VP in the 2nd chapter for sure. They already appear right from the start of ch01 and I left them out already. I know they will definitely have different hair as they have on my cospaly pics bc my hair doesn't exist. I've seen some oc with a similar hairstyle but I don't think it's a public mod, so pixel Hizu will def look a bit different.
