Was thinking about what weapons they'd use in the pjo au so here are the ones I have so far (and these aren't all at the beginning of the series, just generally their staple weapon):

Sophie: a spear, I imagine that it's made out of a material that makes it easy for her to zap people with it (so basically metal) and is about as long as a lacrosse stick. <- when on quests it's kept in a lacrosse stick looking case so it isn't suspicious (the mist would make the spear look like a lacrosse stick)

Fitz: something akin to a falcata sword? Like that sort of shape but longer. I'm not very knowledgeable about swords and fighting techniques so that might change idk

Dex: comically large hammer. Yes I am serious. I imagine he would do something to make it compact and carry-able (mix of machinery and magic) and can take it out and make it change into the hammer so he can beat up monsters. Element of surprise, ya'know? (he has a lot of upper body strength so he can wack monsters with the very heavy hammer)

Stina: bow and arrow, arming sword for closer range. Not much to it. In my au Stina is really good at archery and even teaches the class occasionally. Again, not very knowledgeable abt swords so idk if that's the best option for close range but I don't think she'd use a dagger unless it's a last resort.

Okay but why haven't we talked about Dailey Planet photo journalist Evan Buckley who is sooooo excited there's a superhero around and maybe spends a lot of time thinking about him (not like that! jeez, Maddie) and has taken the most photos of him out of anyone and is a little too invested in finding out who he is because he just has to know.

Enter Tommy Kinard, new reporter from out of town with no experience at a big news outlet but somehow is already getting stories that Buck had to grind for when he first stsrted and is also! Like way to handsome seriously, Maddie who does he think he is? Superman??

Anyway hijinks ensue and Buck does meet superman somehow and sort of gets a crush on him but also gets on on tommy?? Somehow?? It's just their hair looks sort of similar it's crossing the wires in his head that's all.

Buck has a first kiss with both of them and Tommy somehow thinks that Buck has figured it out before he really has which prompts some hilarious miscommunication and Buck panicking because he thinks he's somehow dating both his coworker and the local superhero.

Hello. So apparently the Madoka discord wnk channel had unblurred the japanese sentences in the background of the concept trailer 11 months ago and. Just nobody outside of there ever talked about it here???

Anyway here are all the ones i have been forwarded so far by a kind fellow fan on a different discord server. They mention a new character named "Wasu" which is theorized to relate either to the Japanese for for "to forget/lose something" or to the pronounciation "WAruporugiSU" of Walpurgis(nacht).

Discord person also said the haircut part could also be translated as "betrayed Homura-chan" but thinks the hair translation is more likely. They also theorise the Margarita part might reference or be code for Margaret/Gretchen in Faust.

Additionally, the discord apparently thinks Wasu might correlate with the new green haired girl? We think she could correlate to the red eyed Homura clone because red eyed Homura has shorter, wavy hair, and Wasu is mistaken to be Homura by whoever is speaking in the draft.

I also personally believe she might really be related to Walpurgisnacht or even be her, with her stated to be "acting" and, like the discord person pointed out, possibly be fulfiling Homura's desire to just destroy and destroy with Madoka that she had while being filled with despair. Preparing Madoka to be the other half of Walpurgis's hourglass, and for giving the world a "Grand Finale" with her teaching her to dance.

She might be sort of continually "merging" with the other clara dolls and being affected by them in her appearance (which is what makes the brown headband Homura look in the mirror in a sort of confusion), until finally absorbing Love/Ai for her encounter with Madoka shown in the latest posters- giving her the red/pinkish eyes she didn't have in trailer one.

This would be similar to the abilities of Wraiths, who can swallow memories and even transform into those they ate given enough intelligence.

The fact Wraiths are almost certainly extant somehow in this movie, with the Wraith like visuals with the word wraith around them swallowing the blonde new girl- an amalgam of other girls herself, makes this idea more interesting and plausible to me.

Do with this info what you will, and remember these are from the CONCEPT trailer, which WAS probably based off of the same Urobuchi script he wrote before doing his own thing, BUT we still don't know how much changed since the trailer came out regarding the vision of the movie!!

Anyway here's my current Batfam nail polish tier list:

Kate: wine red, sharp/long except for the index and major which a clipped short

Bruce: transparent top coat

Babs: very chipped fluorescent oracle green. She scratches bits of it off when she's stress-focused.

Dick: lavender mauve

Helena: purple with white crosses

Cass: black with yellow little bats. Sometimes she'll do black with a fluorescent green line

Steph: deep black. She has a couple of rhinestones stuck on some of them she uses like stim toys by rubbing against the rhinestones to self-soothe. Often seen detaching her rhinestones in unfortunate places.

Harper Row: alternates electric blue and mauve, with a metallic silver top coat

Tim: black

Jason: dark red but it's purposefully messy on the skin around the nail and the top of fingertips so they look bloody (see Jason digging out of his coffin for reference)

Duke: at least four different glittery golds that were definitely meant to be used as top coat, it's messy but the cool thing about messy glitter top coat is that it doesn't look like a mess it just looks like you have glittery fingertips

Damian: super clean white with cool prints, designs depending on how he's feeling, often flower prints, most often in gold accents but the prints can also be other colours

Also all of those are designed to change colours in reaction to drugs and other substances btw. Mostly the reason I wanted them to wear it is because I love nail polish, but also I can definitely see them all wearing it for investigation purposes. At least maybe Dick will finally stop putting stuff in his mouth.

There are several reasons I don't think Goro Akechi is the name his mother gave him but high on the list is the image of this 14-year-old about to start his epic revenge quest going "Yeah I'm going to be a famous detective just like Kogoro Akechi! I'm not small though. Just take that character out, it's not me."

literal moments before this: a group of people in the crowd suddenly started chanting for miles to play standing next to me. he acknowledged it for a moment with the hint of a nostalgic/wistful smile, and then proceeded to level us all with reactionary, wry, raised-eyebrows look and launched immediately into see ya when i see ya instead. and this isn’t even my milex brain talking (the girl next to me literally went “oh wow”), the way he did it was genuinely SO loud. like it was an unmistakeable expression that so clearly showed he feels something about those two songs is inherently connected. it was such a from-the-gut, instinctive response and it spoke VOLUMES. i wish wish WISH i'd managed to catch it on video because i know my description is not doing it justice at all, but trust me. it really packed a punch. like there was this reminder of the most popular puppets song from the crowd (and one that’s particularly associated with all their milex antics at that) , and then this visceral expression from miles of "yeah, none of that anymore" or "look at where we are now" as he introduced see ya when i see ya. there were just. SO many emotional layers. and like yes, i know it's sort of an open secret that see ya when i see ya might be about alex and their creative/personal relationship, but god. this really felt so close to an open admission that that’s the case.
