This isn’t an accusatory ask or anything but as someone who tries to keep up with most intersex term coinings, I thought I’d let you know Interqueer was coined (with a pretty nice flag imo) already!
/interarchive/707726020819730432
Awesome, thanks for letting me know! 🌈
And I'm excited/relieved that the interqueer term that was already coined is in alignment with the one I coined, so I think that term won't cause confusion! 😁

i had the thought last night that like. beyond just being a dick move to multigender people, "(straight/cis) women/men dni" just seems to foster a really sad form of interqueer relationships? like i try to have sympathy because a lot of people who put these kinds of dnis on nsfw content have had actual experiences with cishet men harassing them (altho their methods of dealing with that arent beyond criticism). but its also like. the assumption that men would only or can only engage with lesbian content in a predatory way. like women could only engage with achillean love to fetishize it. and ime a lot of the people who put these dnis on their posts haven't really had a lot of negative experiences, rather these dnis are a way of asserting your identity as a lesbian (or as a gay man, but "women dni" seem to be more of a reaction to the trend in wlw spaces than smth organic). putting a No Boys Allowed sticker on your post allows you to share in the communal commiserating about lesbian identity needing safeguarding & partake in the in-group exercise of policing who can have a relationship with lesbianism, or even just appreciate various forms of queer art. i may be pretentious here but its like man even if i WASNT also a woman, its weird that just because i am a man attracted to women its assumed i can't interact with lesbian art in a respectful or meaningful way?

I'm so confused why you're suddenly rb'ing asks that are just...slandering other queer people? One single google search about Chappell Roan turns up lots of concrete activism for trans people. Please don't be a superspreader of misinfo and interqueer community fighting.
I’m not trying to spread misinfo at all, and I’ve made longer posts about why I genuinely believe her trans activism is performative, which you can search up on my blog. Believe me, I used to love Chappell, and I had previously made posts criticising the way people were too quick to misconstrue her words, so I’m really not trying to jump on a hate train. This is simply based on what I’ve witnessed, and how dismissive she’s been lately of ever including trans men in her activism. Not to mention how her ideas of transfemininity seem to be largely synonymous with drag culture, because she rarely mentions transfems outside of the context of drag (and obviously, drag culture and transfeminine culture have been intertwined throughout history, with many drag queens also being transfem, but they should not be treated as synonymous with each other, and when paired with Chappell’s “men don’t make good art” remark, it does set off some red flags about what her ideas on trans people actually are).
I don’t dislike her, and I’m not trying to stop people from listening to her music at all, but with her being cisgendered, I do have to be constantly wary of whether or not her activism on behalf of us is performative. If she’s going to shout out a country artist who is infamously anti-trans and who’s wife went on a tirade against transmasculine people specifically, how am I supposed to believe that she’s truly safe for someone like me to be around?

Series: Digimon Adventure (1999) the anime that most people got into Digimon. It's the first and it's influence can't be overstated with a good balance between seralized and episodic stories. And the very realistic and relatable kids.
Digimon Tamers the fan favorite season that slightly more realiaitc and gows pretty hard in the psychological horror. It also uses cards as a gimmixk (the old one not the new TCG but it still cool to see)
Digimon Universe Appmon well Appmon is coming to the TCG next year and I think the show is highly underrated. It's the most "digital" show of any Digimon show cuz it has a lot of relevent things to say about A.I then it did in 2016.
Digimon Ghost Game is a fantastic episodic horror show every episode can be watched independently really. And it's a good way to see a variety of Digimon and what they can do and also have some really fun characters.
Games: Digimon Cyber Sleuth is a fantastic video game with simple and easy to understand mechanics and is relatively modern it goes on cheat for sale quite often the Complete Edition comes with both the original game and the interqual Hacker's Memory both of which are fantastic with no need for prior knowledge.
Also check out Digimon Liberators it's a web novel / webcomic online for free that focuses on the TCG basically it's like Yu-Gi-Oh or Vanguard in that sense.
I’ve grabbed cybersleuth and started it. I’m enjoying it so far!
I’ve got Liberators queued up to read!
Thanks for the other recommends!

Why Does the Same Procedure Require Different Authorizations for Different Patients?
In the complex world of healthcare, one of the most frustrating experiences for both providers and patients is the variability in prior authorization services requirements. It's not uncommon for two patients needing the exact same medical procedure to face entirely different approval processes from their respective insurance companies. This inconsistency often leads to delays in care, administrative burdens, and confusion about coverage. But why does the same procedure require different authorizations for different patients?
The answer lies in the intersection of insurance plan variability, patient-specific factors, and provider network differences. Let's explore the key reasons behind this disparity.
1. Insurance Plan Differences
Perhaps the most obvious reason is that patients have different health insurance plans. Even within the same insurance company, there can be multiple plan tiers with varying rules. For example:
HMO vs. PPO vs. EPO Plans: Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs) typically require strict prior authorization and referrals for specialist care, whereas Preferred Provider Organizations (PPOs) might offer more flexibility but still require prior authorization for high-cost procedures.
Employer-sponsored vs. Marketplace Plans: A procedure covered without prior approval under a robust employer-sponsored plan might require multiple steps under a basic individual marketplace plan.
Medicare Advantage vs. Commercial Insurance: A patient enrolled in a Medicare Advantage plan might be subject to different rules compared to someone with a traditional commercial insurance plan.
Each plan comes with its own utilization management guidelines, which define how and when care is authorized.
2. Medical Necessity and Clinical Criteria
Insurers often determine whether a procedure is medically necessary based on evidence-based clinical guidelines. However, medical necessity is not always judged uniformly across all plans or insurers.
For instance:
Patient A may have a history of failed conservative treatment, clearly justifying an MRI or a surgical intervention.
Patient B, on the other hand, might be seeking the same procedure but without documented evidence of prior treatments or diagnostic imaging.
Even if both patients report similar symptoms, the lack of clinical documentation in one case may result in a denial or delayed authorization.
Moreover, different insurers use different clinical criteria databases like MCG, InterQual, or proprietary guidelines, which can cause additional variability.
3. Variation in Provider Networks
Insurance companies maintain distinct networks of healthcare providers. Whether a provider is in-network or out-of-network can influence the prior authorization process.
In-network providers usually have streamlined workflows and pre-established authorization protocols with the payer.
Out-of-network providers, however, often face more scrutiny and may require additional documentation or justification.
Thus, two patients getting the same treatment at different facilities—or even from different specialists within the same system—may encounter entirely different authorization requirements.
4. Benefit Design and Coverage Policies
Even if a procedure is covered by a plan, how it's covered can differ. For example:
A plan might cover physical therapy without prior authorization up to 10 visits but require it after that.
Another plan may require authorization from the very first visit.
Similarly, the same imaging procedure (like a CT scan) could be covered under radiology benefits in one plan and under outpatient hospital services in another, triggering different rules and approval requirements.
5. Geographic Variations and State Regulations
Insurance rules are not always uniform across state lines. State mandates can influence:
What services require prior authorization.
How quickly a response must be given.
The appeals process after a denial.
A patient in California might benefit from laws mandating quicker turnaround times or fewer restrictions on mental health services, while a patient in Texas could face longer wait times for the same services.
6. Risk Stratification and Case Complexity
Payers often use risk stratification models to evaluate patients. These models consider age, comorbidities, medical history, and even social determinants of health.
A patient with diabetes, hypertension, and obesity might face more scrutiny for an elective orthopedic procedure than a younger, otherwise healthy patient. The insurer may require more extensive documentation to justify the benefit-risk balance in higher-risk individuals.
7. Historical Utilization and Claims Behavior
Insurance companies track patterns of healthcare utilization. If a patient has a history of frequent high-cost procedures or prior denied claims, the insurer may impose stricter review requirements.
Similarly, if a provider has a history of submitting large volumes of high-cost procedures or has previously been audited for overutilization, the insurer might flag those cases for additional review—even when the clinical justification appears standard.
Conclusion
While it may seem unfair or arbitrary that the same procedure can require different authorizations for different patients, these disparities are rooted in systemic complexity. Variations in insurance plans, benefit designs, clinical documentation, and patient risk profiles all contribute to this inconsistency.
For providers, understanding these nuances is critical to streamlining care delivery and avoiding delays. For patients, education and advocacy play a vital role in navigating the insurance maze.

Proposing/requesting some new intersex terminology
In my talking and thinking about intersex and intersex studies, I've found a desire to put names some of the concepts and groups of people that are out there. Here's what I've come up with, and would like feedback. 💛
Alternate language for medical/identity models
Intermedicalist: referring to a person or ideas which support the pathologization of intersex. Alternate language for what Costello (2016) refers to as the medical/disorder model of intersex. Intended as a parallel with transmedicalist.
Interliberationist: an intersex person who supports intersex liberation, in contrast to intermedicalism. Alternate language for what Costello (2016) refers to the identity framework of intersex; the view of intersex as a social identity, and intersex people in need of liberation from pathologization and presumptions about sex/gender norms.
Language for how intersex people relate to gender
Extergender. An intersex person who is not intergender, i.e. their gender does not feel affected by being intersex.
Language for how intersex people do or do not relate to queerness
Interqueer: an intersex person who sees their intersexness as being queer 🌈
Ipsoqueer: an intersex person whose queerness comes solely from being intersex; they are heterosexual, cis/ipsogender, etc. A subtype of interqueer.
Ulterqueer: an intersex person who understands their intersexness as queer and is also queer in other ways (sexual orientation, gender identity, etc). A subtype of interqueer.
Interseparate: an intersex person who rejects the idea that being intersex makes them queer. Opposite of interqueer.
Interconforming an intersex person who disidentifies with queerness on all axes (they are hetero, cis/ipsogender, etc). A subtype of interseparate.
Internormative: an intersex person who rejects that being intersex makes them queer, but they are queer in other ways. A subtype of interseparate. Chosen as parallel to homonormativity and transnormativity.
In terms of feedback: these are all concepts I want names for, but other than intermedicalist & interliberationist I feel pretty tentative/uncertain about what I've come up with. If you have ideas for improvements please let me know! 🤗
I'm a little worried that ipsoqueer and ulterqueer would lead to confusion with ipsogender and ultergender but also couldn't think of anything better!
EDITS: - 2023-11-27: changed "interstraight" to "interseparate", TY to anon who suggested the change. 🏳️‍⚧️
