Hi author! What if the MC's powers caused a time regression in the MC themselves and they regressed to when they were a child (with the memories of when they were a child) how would the ROs react to a kid MC? 😂 Would August kill a child?

Oooooh, this sounds like it'd be an absolute disaster. Nice! I'm gonna assume for the sake of this ask that the ROs recognize MC even as a kid and have a good relationship with them.

V: Calm on the outside, freaking the fuck out on the inside. Tries to reassure kid!MC that everything's going to be okay while V frantically calls all their contacts in an attempt to fix this right now. Winds up contacting MC's parents to take over while they have a breakdown in their office lol. Spends at least an hour just sitting with their head in their hands.

Amara: Would have fun with it! She just kind of assumes it's a temporary thing anyway so decides to see what little MC (so cute! she would probably pinch MC's cheeks lol) wants to spend the day doing. Absolutely takes some embarrassing childhood photo(s) at some point to tease MC with later once they're back to normal.

August: "No", and, "what the fuck?" is about the only thing going through August's head. He does not know how to take care of kids and would either A: dump kid!MC off on someone else, or B: do something stupid like try to teach MC how to shoot a gun. Because. Why not? MC needs better combat skills anyway.

(As for MCs who don't have a good relationship with August. Well, even when August wants you dead, he would never hurt a kid. Meaning the MC of this scenario would be safe... until the little hiccup with their powers is resolved anyway. 😅)

Hello! I just stumbled upon GC today and it looks really fun! I was looking at the character list though, and noticed one of your side characters is named Lakota - considering this is the name of the Lakota Native American people, seeing it was a little jarring. Have you considered changing it at all, maybe even just by a letter?

Hello there! Glad you found GC and I hope you enjoy it.

Lakota's name was chosen based on the meaning of the name itself, found through searching meanings ("friend") on behindthename.com. Dakota was actually what I first considered for his name, but I felt starting it with L made it sound softer, which suited his nature. It was never an intentional appropriation, and I am fine with changing it as needed.

I did some looking after I got your ask about the name Dakota since the same issue should follow here (it's a pretty common name where I live, which only lent to my previous understanding, and that's exactly why having these conversations is important). I'm not completely ignorant of its origins, but I've always known it as just a name and didn't realize that there were issues with its use.

Nearly all of the names in GC were picked based on meaning and come from several different languages with the intent to be inclusive.
