Slight spoilers for LMK season 5 ig but I have to rant;

Do you think the whole chaos/order thing going on in that season (& likely continuing into the next season) means the Chinese god of primordial chaos (the same kind of chaos NHD was talking about on the last ep of the season) Hundun might make an appearance & possibly be the higher power pulling the strings we kept getting hints to in season 5? Does that mean he would be a sort of narrative foil to Nuwa (who obviously represents the side of order), like different ‘solutions’ to the same ‘problem’?

Do you think Wukong & Macaque are meant to represent the imbalance of the universe in a VERY literal sense? Like, Wukong came into existence just to cause chaos in a too organized world while Macaque came into existence to measure out Wukong’s chaos? I know MK is called ‘The Harbinger of Chaos’, but Wukong also used to be ‘The Havoc of Heaven’ which are definitely VERY close descriptors. I mean, the Heavenly kingdom is very clearly representing itself as the deciding body of order in LMK, but it’s also clear that have little to ZERO clue what they’re actually doing (Li Jing) and/or don’t have the real power to decide anything about the balance even if they want to (Nezha & Azure Lion).

Is MK really the harbinger of chaos, or is he just the warning everyone kept ignoring until the problem exploded right in front of them? Does MK even fully understand the power this forced title holds? How he is part of the weight that balances a scale before it falls over itself? Did Wukong ever understand his own similar title?

I fear Macaque is right; they really are a bit too alike for comfort. Maybe the loss of Macaque (as the orderly counterpart to Wukong) meant that chaos could completely fly off the handle and throw the world into the ‘early restart’ Nuwa mentioned? Does that mean there could be another celestial monkey we’ll get to meet that becomes the new representation of order to act as a narrative foil for MK (like LBD used to be)? Is there already another monkey of order out there?

Will the sun and the moon clash again? Will the consequences be the same (history repeats itself) or will they be far more dire (history learns from itself)?

Will the cycle never end as long as someone who thinks they know better than the universe remains in power?

This is completely random and triggered by the most irrelevant post on my dash ever but I am genuinely so upset about how Frozen just straight up infected and took over Norway in the World Showcase in Epcot like I hate it I hate it so much.

Like no the World Showcase was intended to be a showcase of ACTUAL cultural diversity and you've gone and fucking bastardized it with a Frozen filter in NORWAY. Completely stripped it of its historic Norway folklore, the viking vibes of the Maelstrom and the shops and Olaf's fucking winter wonderland whatever the fuck like NO.

When I went to the World Showcase it was because I loved the genuine connections with other cultures around the world. I LIVED in the Asian cultures because it was the closest I could get to my heritage since my mom was so disconnected from it and didn't pass any of it down to me. You don't see Mulan pasted all over China, it has a cultural theater and a garden and a shop full of cultural knick knacks and traditional clothes and traditional food without a Disney-themed whatever name slapped onto it. They have a Chinese acrobatics show in the plaza there that's phenomenal to see!

The Middle East area was so small and on thin fucking ice because it lumped such a huge cultural spectrum into one little space to share but like! The bazaar and such was still a cool experience! Not an Aladdin reference in sight!

Japan has a rotating museum exhibit on culture that last time I was there talked a lot about kawaii culture and the shop had an oyster opening thing that taught you about Japanese pearl exports and a section about kimono and a taiko show and just!

Then Frozen fucking came along and took over Norway and now it's not Norway anymore, it's Frozenland!

It doesn't even stop there, it's spreading to all the other countries too and it makes me so sad! Ratatouille is infecting France and Encanto is infecting Latin America (which is ALREADY on thin fucking ice for similar cultural Lumping problems) and it just makes me so sad tbh...

It's like yes, I know that these films are big representations for particular cultures but I don't think they should be touted as THE representation of their associated cultures in the WORLD SHOWCASE. The cultures there should be allowed to speak for them-fucking-selves...! If you wanted Disney animation franchise stuff, you got that shit in Magic Kingdom or Hollywood Studios or the REST of Epcot where it belonged!

I just feel like the new episode of Daredevil was....a filler? It didn't really show the struggle of the case like they used to in Netflix Daredevil and it just felt like going from scene to scene without much care. Matt exposing white tiger was like, ok Matt just because you quit doesn't mean you get to decide for everyone, which is what Matt always does, so in character moment for sure. But nobody was surprised that white tiger died almost immediately right? Like, him getting a not guilty verdict was the call to action for the cop punisher cult, clearly. I just wasn't moved by it? Idk, I KNOW the show is different from Netflix and I get they have to change things, but the whole episode felt like a cop show. I'm hating the color tones they're using for the show. It's so cold and dull with blues and whites and greys, when Daredevil used to be yellow and red and rich colors and everything was saturated and now its all so? Bleak. I want to see what else they do, but they also need to get a move on lol, cause they aren't getting full seasons like they did in Netflix, so there's no time for a slow burn.
