watching Lego Monkie Kid and the Dragon Prince at the same time is so funny because in LMK when a child (well MK is in his 20s but bear with me) is willing to sacrifice himself to literally save the whole world, literally everyone is yelling at him not to do it, even people who don't know him well. And then you watch The Dragon Prince and meet characters who would tell MK to do a flip while sacrificing himself / are willing to kill babies or let small children die in the name of the greater good and they're like, Main Characters who aren't even necessarily Bad Guys

Getting looser with lineart and better at colour schemes and simplifying shading. Is good actually.#It's so much easier to eyeball what a colour would look like in a setting instead of colourpicking the OG palette and struggling with...#...like 9 overlay and multiply and soft/hard light layers #Approximating colour genuinely looks better than forcing local colour into the piece. As long as the values are still there it works out #comic

Love the idea of the Batfamily showing a serious, united front whenever they’re working with the Justice League (i.e., obeying Bruce’s orders without question or defaulting to Dick’s authority, following Bruce’s comm protocol, upholding expected field etiquette, coordinating with one another with terrifying efficiency, and generally just not fucking around), but then the minute they get back to the Cave they immediately start to throw hands over who gets to use the PS5.
