I do believe that the arcane cursed Jayce and Vi, I really truly do.

There is no other conceivable reason why these two people, who are so fucking intelligent and principled on their own, should fail so horrendously every time they’re near eachother.

Their first collab was when the door between them blew up and everything just went downhill from there. I think them being caught in that explosion, in the same shockwave of arcane magic, did something. Mostly because it would be funny but also because genuinely what else is the reason.

They enter a 10ft radius of each other and everything immediately goes up in flames. For no reason. They see eachother and they just go stupid, like poorly trained service dogs crossing paths. It’s awful, they are both way too competent for this, I’m calling bullshit. Magic curse. It is a magic curse.

Everyone panicking and crying and shit and then you turn and there's these two clowns babbling about their partners while doing the utmost to fry the 1 (one) braincell they share and somehow ending up making things worse for everyone else

But can we be serious for a moment and talk about the fact that they meet eacht other because of Caitlyn? And I'm not saying because she's the person in common. Cait trust him, Vi trust Cait, so Vi trusted Jayce. And I think Jayce respect Vi (c'mon, he never ever tried to take HIS gauntles back) because he loved Cait.

Saw someone talking about how people only want to mention platonic relationships as important when it's to demonise queer ships and that really hurts the aro/ace community.

Sometimes that can be difficult because I understand why certain characters might be shipped and a lot of platonic relationships can be seen from a romantic lens if you twist it right enough. Plus, as someone who enjoys shipping, it's mostly about exploring character dynamics and how they would interact with each other if they had to actually care about someone so different from them.

That being said, there are some Platonic relationships, that are not blood-related, but are actually very solid and that I hold dear to my heart and can never be confused for romantic relationships 🥹 (well almost).

Caitlyn and Jayce from Arcane, I love their sibling dynamic.

Vi and Jayce's chaos-junkie dynamic (even though this one is mostly fanon).

Lenore and Duke from Nevermore (Duke would actually kill for Lenore and it's so sweet cause we don't have enough representation of platonic I-will-genuinely-kill-for-you dynamic and that is a grievous crime. 😌)

Also Annabel Lee and Prospero because they are both such hot messes. 😂 I love them so much and their shared need to hold on to the image of perfection.
