Who is Jennie?

Jennie, a refined woman with a captivating, endearing personality and immense charisma off-stage, as well as a sleek and forceful image on stage. BLACKPINK's main rapper and lead singer. She was born in Anyang, South Korea, in the province of Gyeonggi. In addition, she spent five years in Auckland, New Zealand. Jendeuk, Nini, and Mandu ( due to her soft and squishy cheeks ) were some of BLACKPINK's and BLINKS' nicknames for her. In the group, she is known as 'the YG princess.' Jennie had a temporary tattoo on her wrist during pre-debut with the words "Stay Strong" written in cursive. She used it as motivation to pursue her dream of becoming an idol. It was a long and tough path for her, as she studied for six years with YG Entertainment before making her debut in 2016. What a wonderful young woman she is. Jennie has become Chanel's global and House Ambassador, Hera's Muse/Ambassador, and Calvin Clein's muse, despite all of the challenges she's faced over the last four years. y'all i rlly think chaennie are going to the met gala 👀 rosie went to 2 events and she's still there. ik jennie had her jentle salon pop up thing but why would she fly all the way to nyc to be in the store for literally 5 mins when there are stores in several countries incl korea? plus i saw on twt that all of skz just landed in nyc and tommy hilfiger posted them being all sneaky and no shade, i'm sure they're nice and all, but there's no way that whole group is going to the met gala and chaennie aren't, ykwim? 😶

Respect for fanwriters

this is gonna be a rant post, and i'm so sorry to all my followers after having been inactive for so long and coming back with this but, something has to be said. by no means am i trying to offend anyone or pick on anyone; this is definitely a small minority out of the fanfiction community. it's just simply something i've been waiting to speak about for a long time. 

as some of you may know, i'm also a writer on another blog that i co-own with my friend. she does a lot more work on the blog than i do and i commend her for her dedication. she's recently been writing a fic and has a schedule that she keeps up weekly. she's 7 chapters in and she's only delayed updates once, and that is truly admirable. this past week, we were both at a competition overseas and we had 15 hours days before collapsing into our beds to wake up early for the next day. we'd never anticipated the stress but it was our priority to perform our best at the competition. nonetheless, she had no time to complete the chapter and only remembered about the chapter when it was already past the scheduled update. 

to say the least, she got a few angry anons about the situation. some saying that the situation was disappointing, and requesting for longer lengths for the chapters. this is my first time having such a personal experience with this, but tl; dr, fanwriters deserve a lot more respect. we aren't robots, sadly, and we aren't able to churn out fics right out our minds. believe me, most of us would love to be able to do daily updates with 6k chapters. but life REALLY does happen, and even i can't predict what will truly happen tomorrow, let alone a couple of days or even a week ahead. 

fanwriters do this for FREE. without any sort of payment or motivation; it's purely out of their own will. i'm forever grateful to the wonderful writers in the community because they really do this for practically nothing. yes, they may receive the occasional ask about it or thousands of likes, but they really never start out writing for all that. all they want is to share their creations with the wider community, and hopefully bring joy to those who come across it. when we get these negative asks, rather than motivating us to work harder and produce more content, it drives us the other way. a lot of fics out there are abandoned for many reasons, but i am sure that one of the main reasons is the fact the negative comments. of course, fame always comes with a price, but i think we can all make a little bit of an effort to be a little more positive and think about things from the writer's standpoint before sending in a negative ask.

this shouldn't stop any of you readers from supporting your favourite writers though! rather than asking them to update or asking for longer chapters, maybe you could give them some (nice and constructive) feedback on the previous chapters or simply ask them about how life is and how they're doing. don’t know if the ask is nice and constructive? if you were a writer yourself (or if you are already), think about the ask and think about whether you would feel upset or annoyed by it. if you would, it’s probably not a good idea to send it in. being positive will always be much more motivating than being negative.

so please, show some respect to all the fanwriters out there. AO3, tumblr, wattpad; it doesn't matter. we all share one goal and we hope you can give us some respect for what we do too. i know, it might be asking for a bit too much, but i can bet you that all the talented writers out there have other priorities, yet they take time out of their lives to dedicate to their craft. send them a nice message, ask them about their day, or simply respect them and admire them for their hard work.

although my opinion may be invalid, as i update very rarely as a fanwriter, but i'm sure this will resonate with a few in the community of writers.

Every single picture that got taken that night

Carats remember that day very well. When not only Seventeen made MAMA their bitch but then they also had Minnie do her solo performance, with which she shot down all the news tabloids that called her untalented, that she was the reason for Hanbin’s downfall back in June, and that she won’t be famous without Hanbin by her side anymore.

She performed her song ‘Solo’ that still hasn’t been officially released yet.

No one knows what she had for breakfast that day, CDs most definitely, but the entire K-Pop industry and almost ever fandom went absolutely wild - especially because of her outfit. She got a full lightstick ocean with almost every fandom helping, but Carats and iKonics were the most prominent.

When she went to visit Minghao on Idol Producer, had to attend an event the next day, and got bombarded with questions without having any of her members by her side. She hated it.

Carats loved her reaction in the picture but felt very sorry for her as they know she doesn’t like these kinds of situations.

This picture got released by K-Netz that hacked into Hanbin‘s iCloud.

Carats and iKonics already kinda knew that they were dating but getting this as a “confirmation”. And they went INSANE. Edits, fan edits, theories were made, fans looked up past videos of the two to see if there were any signs they missed, they watched older videos to see if their members teased them (which they did) - it was a very good day for both fandoms.

Carats loved the grey suit, but why these pictures went viral was because of what she admitted a day later during her Instagram Live: Minnie said that the sunglasses hadn’t originally been part of her outfit, but that she had found them in her bag and put them on to hide her swollen eyes - she was extremely hungover from the night before. The fandom made sure that the pictures were everywhere on Twitter and Minnie didn’t mind but laughed at the situation.

When Seventeen left for their American Tour of Ode To You, Minnie let Minghao style her for the airport, as he had already done many times before. Carats found the scarf/hat extremely cute and the pictures ended up everywhere on the internet, calling Minnie cute and praising Minghao for his sense of fashion.

Carats are convinced that Minnie’s friends fear no one, especially not Pledis. They have always and will always post pictures of Minnie being drunk/enjoying herself at parties. Fans love this side since it shows her being a normal human and they also love seeing her so carefree while spending time with her close friends from school.

Minnie uploaded this on her Instagram Story with the tagline “A very good morning” but deleted it only seconds later. Carats started calling it THE PICTURE since the entire fandom went crazy and said that this was officially Minnie’s “The Morning After” look

They were also confused because of the phone since Minnie is known for having an iPhone. Still a mystery what exactly this pic was about but an absolutely ICONIC picture.

This makes me feel so comfy, the jentle "Beorge" stuff you show. I mean, I see a lot of stuff even in "60s music" fandom with kinda nasty context and this makes me a little confused. I guess, the stuff you posting is a bit more romanticize bromance, and i think that bromance are always romanticize by fans in the kind and jentle way :)

ahh i’m glad you feel that way! i feel the same, altho that might be at least partly bc im ace and sex-repulsed so anything even slightly more than Soft Gentle Romantic Friendship is Eh for me. not to say that one can’t enjoy it of course!! but i prefer the Soft :~)
