i fear sometimes the shameless fandom is like. mickey fanclub. and ian's their favourite extension of mickey. but god forbid he exists on his own 😭

IVE BEEN SAYING THIS!!

and the thing about this is that (don’t hate me mickey is in my top 4) if anything it’s the opposite. mickey becomes a main character, but if he and ian weren’t a couple he wouldn’t exist as a side character. you may argue- “oh! but early season 4-” but no, because even that all is regarding ian (the fact that he’s married to svetlana).

i love them both so much together and individually and it’s so obvious people really don’t care much for ian, only liking mickey, and it sucks. ian had so many storylines that mickey wasn’t in that were important to his character, but people chose to skip over it due to mickey not being there (almost all of season 6, gay jesus, shim, etc.).

and also, like i said, ian is, and always was, a main character. i just don’t understand how he can be so acknowledged yet overlooked at the same time.
