BIOGRAPHY (abridged)

mari's parents are the definition of opposites attract - rinji nakamura, a famous crime author from a family of well-respected journalists, is a quiet man, reclusive and sensible. ariane auclair, a socialite turned model turned one-time actress (an erotic thriller that was critically panned) from a wealthy family of her own, is reckless, and outgoing, and more than a little vain. no one really knows how they met or why they got together, but they did, and they had mari.

she was always closer to her father, who would let her stay in his study while he wrote. she would lie on the floor reading, or drawing, and eventually writing along with him. she declared that she wanted to be a writer when she was seven.

the circumstances surrounding mari's mother being cut out of her parents' will are somewhat shrouded in mystery. what's common knowledge is that ariane borrowed A LOT of money from them over the years, and got away with it for a long time as she was the baby of the family. when they eventually chose to confront her about this, however, there was an argument that turned pretty nasty — no one knows exactly what was said, but ariane made some below the belt remarks so damning that she was cut off.

the nakamuras moved into a smaller house, sold overseas properties, and mari started to attend a much cheaper private school. neither her nor her father were remotely bothered by this. in fact, it was refreshing. she learns from her peers, visiting places that real people go to and discovering the value of money that isn’t endless. in stages, she grows to detest where she came from, and her own family most of all.

despite now being social pariahs, they were still invited to the occasional family gathering (she suspects solely so they can be gossiped about). in the summer before her second year at meraviglia, oleander's family invited them to stay for a week. after six days of passive aggressive comments and thinly veiled insults, mari snapped.

during a party the day before they were due to leave, she slipped into oleander's mother's dressing room and tried her luck with the safe, correctly guessing the code after a few attempts (her son's date of birth — really, she was asking to get robbed) and stealing the marchesa diamond.

the act of stealing their precious diamond was not about acquiring something of worth, but about taking it away from them. she told as much to professor dupont, who seemed amused by her story as she detailed scouting the room for security cameras, an awkward encounter with a maid as she exited her guest room flushed with pride, rejoining the party with no one having noticed she’d left.

mari doesn't particularly like dupont – he’s far too much of an entitled snob for her taste – but as a child raised on mysteries, there is a certain appeal to the whole situation that gives her a quiet thrill. it’s why, in spite of her feud with caper, she was so willing to team up with them again in order to solve it. it’s harmless fun that allows her to get close to one of her best friends again, but she can’t deny that she would like to find out what happened to him.

since her family was cut off from her grandparents, mari has become something of a kleptomaniac. she never steals anything too valuable (with one notable exception, of course), usually just small trinkets that people might not notice are gone, but over the years she’s amassed quite a collection. pieces that were stolen years ago are displayed around her apartment like trophies. more recent acquisitions are kept locked in the bottom drawer of her desk.

she lives alone in a small apartment off campus. it’s notoriously disorganised, with mugs, papers and clothes scattered across every available surface, and books stacked precariously in towering piles on the floor. though she makes efforts to tidy it all up every once in a while, she actually quite enjoys the mess, as it makes her feel like a real writer.

at any given time, mari is working on several writing projects. a book of poetry, a one-woman play, a collection of essays. her favourite, however, is a biting satirical novel about wealthy families and hubris (think knives out).

one of her best qualities is that she’s unfailingly generous. most frequently seen materially – always more than happy to pick up a tab or give away books or clothes because ‘I read this and it reminded me of you’ or ‘it would look better on you anyway’. to those she's closest to, she’s also generous with her time, and is extremely dependable if you need someone to show up in an emergency.

mari doesn’t particularly like parties, but will attend the occasional gathering with the idea of finding some inspiration. every so often, however, she’ll feel the need to blow off some steam and will overindulge in whatever’s available. it’s also not uncommon to find her drinking on her own in an evening, or smoking a joint on her rickety balcony.

truth be told, she’s kind of a gossip. It’s not intentional, or through any ill will, she just enjoys the basic principle of acquiring and passing on knowledge. particularly grave or serious topics discussed with close friends she knows to keep private, but if you decide to tell her about someone you have a crush on, you’re running the risk of that person knowing within the week.

she’s surprisingly gifted at forging handwriting, a skill her friends are welcome to utilise if they ever need it.

music is something that mari treats with almost as much reverence as she treats the written word. she has curated playlists for every possible mood or activity you can imagine (motivational, shower, despondent, angry, cooking, sex), and uses them to fuel and inspire her writing. (however, she also has a penchant for true crime podcasts. she blames her father for this.)

speaks japanese, french, english, and italian fluently. she enjoys reading books in all four languages and comparing the way similar concepts are treated so differently, but her own writing is usually in japanese or french.

Had a dream about the 2003 boys meeting the 2018 boys and it. Was. Epic.

So, poor 2003 Leonardo, he didn't know what the heck to do with this. He spent his entire life being a responsible, overprotective, golden boy master of self discipline and strategy because he desperately needed to show his family and clan how hard he worked and how good he was, and he suffered through his own violent personal hells until he was broken from post traumatic stress and he still forced himself to carry all that weight... and here was another version of him who was just a bit younger and who didn't even understand this concept of epic heavy deep personal responsibility, because he was a blissful kid who didn't have to grow up under the shroud of being responsible during times of permanent war inside and out. This Leo was brashly overconfident just as much as he was quietly insecure but he didn't hide and smother himself, he glomped onto his brothers and confessed his sads like therapy. And they hugged. They HUGGED ALL THE TIME. 2003 Leo couldn't quite understand why all the hugging all the time. And Little Leo let loose with quips, dad jokes, snark, and great love like it was a career option. What the hell, 2003 Leo kept thinking. That's all the stuff I wanna do, that's how I would be without all this heavy and responsibility. How often do I get to safely break out the shitty jokes without losing face? What the heck happened or didn't happen to let this boy be like how I could have been?

And then they met 2018 Splinter, and 2003 Leo just stood frozen, gaping in puzzled disbelief and pure stunned realization, like ... OH. Okay. I get it. This Splinter is the result of shoving away his traumatic past and turning into a snarky, cynical, lackadaisical uncle type who has had enough of his darkness and just wants to be left alone while making sure his children are prepared for the world. Damn it, why can't he be MY DAD.

Later in the dream, 2003 Leo considers adopting 2018 Mikey and running away with him to learn how to be carefree and have a cinnamon roll to protect, but 2018 Leo catches on and challenges him to a sword fight, stealing one of his katanas because forget my magic odachi, I wanna be honorable bitch, and 2003 Leo is SO PROUD of this fiery little trash lord him who really is a Leonardo, just without the darkness.

Meanwhile, 2018 Michelangelo is still tied up in the corner (because 2003 Leo had to stop him squirming) shouting encouragement to both of them. And 2003 Leo just.... breaks down LAUGHING. Like, this is amazing. And then both Raphaels turn up ready to beat him up for trying to kidnap the baby. And 2003 Raph just does not understand why his Leo is on the floor giggling so hard he's snorting. And then everyone else shows up and 2003 Mikey starts laughing too and explains everything because he is an utterly intuitive walking pop culture encyclopedia and Meme Grandpa who knows exactly what his Leo is on about.

At the end of the dream, they're all crowded around the 2018 media room watching Lou Jitsu, while the Donnies and Mikeys are yelling at the tablets 2018 Don gave them because now they're on the internet with the memes, and 2003 Donnie is literally You Kids These Days Don't Even Know - oh hey by the way, we got Utrom technology at home, so who wants some uranium to make functional toys with!

Aaand the 2018 brothers have to dive bomb him screaming NOOoOO as 2018 Donatello gets a wide glint in his eyes, stands up forcefully, and thrusts his fists to the sky screaming YEESSSS

... and the 2003 boys are horribly confused and have been absolutely flattened by Big Child Raph who is just holding them all at once muttering bad idea bad idea and Don is starting to realize his mistake with dawning horror while 2018 Splinter has fallen off his chair laughing and 2018 April has facepalmed so hard she left a bruise

Title: Jonas Corbin’s Guide to Life

Jonas Corbin’s sophomore year of high school is getting off to a good start - he’s been assigned the locker next to his childhood friend and long-time crush Kiera Bernhardt in the same year that Kiera’s rather intimidating older brother has gone off to college, giving him the perfect opportunity to confess his feelings. However, will he be able to talk to Kiera without choking? And why is their mutual friend Chloe suddenly being so harsh towards him? Tells the story of Jonas’ sophomore, junior, and senior years at Foxwood High School in New Hampshire.

Other things:

Lots of esoteric references, mostly to anime and JRPGs.

Some degree of fourth-wall awareness, but not to ridiculous levels.

Teen characters are treated with respect.

Despite being named after a specific character, has an ensemble cast. Jonas is the narrator, though.

Everyone is ****ed-up to some degree, just like in real life.

At the same time, no one is purely good or bad. Again, just like in real life.

Some supernatural elements, although most, if not all, of them would be Maybe Magic, Maybe Mundane.

When did Odysseus’ days as a child prodigy end? Instead, falling short of every single expectation their intellect bore from their youth. Partially thanks to the excessive drug use at an early age and what was likely undiagnosed ADHD, Odie struggled in school since their pre-teens. School was boring, and the teachers were too busy catering to the dumbest kid in class to notice the link between Odie’s fulfillment and their behavioral problems.

The schoolwork didn’t interest them, and despite the many lectures given to Odysseus about the importance of work ethic, the lessons never stuck. Though, their learning didn’t stop. They catered to their own niche interests outside of school, spending hours at the public library teaching themself computer language. Despite their insistence to avoid schoolwork, they aced every exam and kept up (or often lead) academic discourse about the subject.

Adults recognized this potential, yet no one possessed the patience to truly tap in to it. Instead, Odysseus was dismissed as a basket case, a know-it-all troublemaker with a chip on their shoulder against authority. Not only were they infamous for unfinished work, but Odie was labelled a disturbance for their classes.

This bred a resentment toward education, which in turn fostered their procrastination and lack of effort. Nothing could convince Odysseus completing a redundant study guide was anything but an absurd waste of time.

College, thus far, has been somewhat of a success story for them, largely in part to Odie being in control of their own curriculum. Odie never intended to go to college, yet their beloved high school physics teachers paid for the application fees himself and insisted they apply to a few schools in the area.

To this day, they are a frustrating, talkative, unfocused student, yet their contributions are often applauded for their depth. Odysseus is constantly hounded by their friends and family for not applying themself, yet they prefer to think their priorities are just greatly misunderstood.

The second child of the long-married Artharvaa and Ghanavi Reza, Odysseus inherited the same responsibilities and expectations of their older sister without any of the tools to achieve them. They were a moody child, often reprimanded for talking back and blatantly refusing to bend to their parents’ commands. Causing an upset became their norm, the only real validation they received from their parents in the form of long-winded speeches and cruelties posed as punishments.

Odie felt comfortable in the role of the black sheep, seeing firsthand how their parents’ expectations crushed the souls of their siblings. They were determined not to end up a carbon copy of their parents, despite how desperately their father clung to the idea. Yet, their bright intellect caught the attention of several teachers who pushed the hopes of Odie’s eventual success onto their parents, much to their dismay. They have potential, their teachers would preach, you just need to learn to nurture it.

Neither parent had a nurturing bone in their body, instilled with tough love and having raised their kids under the same conditions. Their toughness failed to motivate Odie, instead forcing them to harden and detach lest they crack from the pressure. So what if they were smart if they were just as lazy? They couldn’t be expected for greatness if they didn’t try. It became their unspoken rule of sorts; you couldn’t fail at anything if you never really started it to begin with.

Much of Odysseus’ adolescence was spent in solitude, the tall brunette declining every opportunity to involve themself in anything. Besides a good book. Odie spent more of their time hidden in the aisles of the public library prodding and surfing than they did with kids their own age, but this was a blessing if anything. People were complex, and they tended to lie. They didn’t see the point in entertaining meaningless connection, just as they didn’t see the point in building up a future for themself that was never gonna happen.

People born into a family like theirs never truly had a chance to begin with. It was a simple fact of life Odysseus accepted in middle school, a decision made of self-preservation. They hated the world for making it seem otherwise, and they hated the fools who bought into it even more. More than that, they hated their father, who was a strict devotee to the “American Dream” and the individualistic notion of picking up his own bootstraps by sacrificing everything and putting in the gruesome work.

Marcus was a street rat, just like Odie. He was smart too and just as troublesome. The two instantly clicked, and the rebellious boy was the first person Odie felt had the slightest inclination of how they felt. They were inseparable after their first few hangouts, which consisted of hours of endless rambling about the state of the world and the latest Rick Riordan novel they finished.

Marcus’ home life was complicated. He didn’t like to talk about it much with Odie, but from what they gathered his mother was a hard drug user, often times slumped over in the recliner in Marcus’ living room on their frequent house visits. It was almost a blessing in disguise for Odie, as the two could smoke carelessly in Marcus’ room and come in and out whenever they pleased.

He was only a year older than Odie, though it felt like a decade to them sometimes. Marcus was full of potent rage, though it was something Odie never saw unless provoked. Or if Marcus had a bit too much to drink. He could be so wise, which didn’t align with the reckless, boyish behavior Odie was used to. And somehow, Marcus always had enough money for both of their subway fares. When they would tell him they couldn’t afford to go out to eat after school, Marcus tisked and paid anyway.

In passing, Odysseus wondered how a kid like Marcus always managed to have a few bucks on him, but they hadn’t realized the extent their friend went to guarantee they could eat well. Until a friend of Marcus’ pulled up to his house and he demanded Odie stay in the room and keep quiet. They went back and forth in the living room, until his friend demanded Marcus ride along with him and the boy reluctantly agreed.

They were only gone an hour, if that. Marcus popping up again with his hair in a mess with no words of explanation for Odie, though they’d pieced together the semi-private meetings and his severe distrust of strangers. They kept silent, knowing any words of discouragement wouldn’t sway Marcus and may very well disrupt their space free of judgement. Marcus knew what he was doing, and who was Odie to tell him his methods were wrong?

(tw: violence) As the two grew together, Odie watched as Marcus fell deeper into the scene, his crew and duties practically engulfed his life by the time Odie turned fifteen. On the second week of summer following Odie’s freshman year of high school, they were jumped on their way home from a mutual friend’s house. It should have been a typical beating, retaliation for whatever profits Marcus and his crew swept from under their feet, but Marcus refused to stop fighting and the boys refused to relent.

(tw: murder, graphic injury, blood) With their face shoved in gravel and their arm pinned painfully to their back, Odie pleaded for Marcus to stop and stay down. Their eyes stung with tears and blood as they watched the stubborn boy endure strike after strike, still aimlessly swinging his arms and legs against the assailants. It felt like an eternity, watching the life slowly drain from their friend before he collapsed to the ground beside Odie, pale, bloodied, and out of breath. Only then did they release Odie, running into the black of the night and leaving the dying boy in the arms of his best friend.

Every bone in his face was broken, smashed out of place to the point of almost being unrecognizable. Odie sat beside him limply, cursing at Marcus, telling him what a fucking idiot he was, trying to figure out how to pick him up and get him back to his room without hurting him. It was only a few blocks. If Odie could just pick him up. He would be fine.

He didn’t make it past the end of the street, a broken rib jutted into his lung preventing life from finding him again. Odysseus trekked the path to Marcus’, collapsing in his front yard upon realizing they’d lost him. Odie yelled for Marcus’ mother, yelled for anyone to help them.

When his mother came out to her porch to see Odie holding her son, she became hysterical and charged at them, spewing accusations and beating on their chest. Odie didn’t flinch away from her anger, instead embracing every hit until one of the neighbors intervened and pulled them away. Why? They couldn’t say. Odie deserved to die right beside him. 

The police released them of any suspicion despite their refusal to answer any questions, seeing Odie for what they were; a traumatized kid lost in a pit of darkness. Their mother was hysterical upon their release, giving one firm slap across Odie’s face for their apparent involvement in gang activity (they didn’t even try to argue) before sobbing and openly embracing them.

It was a rough few months following Marcus’ death. Their parents had them on lockdown, claiming it was for their safety but Odie recognized it as the consequence to their years of lying. Marcus’ mother never spoke to Odie again, except to let them know they were not to come to the funeral. And they didn’t. They mourned their best friend silently for years, though in all this time they never managed to accept they weren’t accountable for what happened to Marcus.

Graduating high school with a barely acceptable GPA, Odie had every intention of working their family’s bodega for the rest of their life or until it went out of business. By the grace of their favorite physics teacher, an application for Ogden’s financial scholarship (and a lengthy recommendation letter and explanation of Odie’s tremendously poor grades) was submitted on their behalf. Their teacher urged them to go and finish a degree, lest they allow the hard-earned money he spent on their application fees to go to waste.

So, Odysseus went to Ogden and has a relatively unimpressive track record at the school. Not much is known about the laidback STEM major, Odie much prefers to keep to their inner circle and is proud of their status under the radar. Yet as things grow more tense on campus, Odie seems to thrive amongst the chaos of the other students.

the connections

relationship to greer: ex-fling.

Much like it is at Ogden, everyone knew and aspired to be by Greer’s side. She was the spawn of two incumbents of old money empires, and the pinnacle of white privilege Odysseus learned to despise from a young age. They should have resented her, and by all accounts they couldn’t care less about the gossip and rumors constantly surrounding the Golden Girl.

They weren’t friends. They’d barely spoken all throughout high school, despite attending the same institution and their family’s bodega being a routinely, afternoon stop for her group of friends. Odie was civil, if not a bit indifferent whenever she came around. 

One of the only parties Odie attended in high school was at the behest of their close friend, at the residence of one of Greer’s many minions. They couldn’t recall where the night went, but eventually they were stuck on the empty patio of the affluent house, with their ride battling alcohol poisoning in the bathroom.

Eventually, Greer stumbled upon Odysseus hiding out in the cold rather than waiting inside with the remaining stragglers. She sat down beside them and asked to hit the spliff in their hands. The words of a pretty face were always so much more convincing, and Odie found themself not hating the company of the girl they’d often sneer at in school.

They sat beside each other until the sun rose, bantering and flirting and debating the purpose of existence. She was easy to admire, and she shattered Odie’s cynicism against her with ease. They were so wrapped in Greer’s world, they failed to notice when their friend finally emerged from the bathroom and left assuming Odysseus had long since returned home.

In the safety of the daylight, a sleep-deprived Greer offered to walk Odie to the station. It felt surreal, being filled with elation in the presence of the most  popular girl in town. They gave their goodbyes, but not before Odie leaned down and planted a longing kiss on the Golden Girl’s lips. They stepped on the train, leaving with a heart full of hope and a pretty girl’s phone number.

The next few days, Odysseus watched the clock in anticipation to see Greer walk through the doors of the bodega. When she did, she paid them little mind while she laughed and chatted with her other friends. They gave her a friendly smile upon checkout, one that was returned with a half-hearted laugh and a grimace.

They understood instantly what role they would play for her. A comfort in the night, a heartfelt conversation, warmth by her bedside. Yet, they would never be something Greer could love with pride. They were her shameful secret, a guilty pleasure she couldn’t help but feel magnetized too.

The next several months, Odie played the role exceptionally well. The two would sneak around, wreaking havoc in the night and sending gushy texts throughout the day. Odysseus didn’t complain for the most part, until it became increasingly apparent how serious Greer’s relationship grew with the Big Man.

When they expressed qualms about being a consolation prize, Greer caved and promised the start of her college years would be the beginning to bringing their relationship to the public eye.

Having Greer was never about placing a claim on her, but rather Odie couldn’t fathom her closeness if it was not motivated by their love. They swept much under the rug for the belief she felt the same for them, yet it was becoming increasingly clear they were just as meaningless as the rest of her superficial relationships.

When Greer started at Ogden, she quickly fell back on her promises to Odysseus. “Just another semester,” she urged, yet the end of the semester brought about nothing but the clarity Greer would never be willing to change for them.

Odie broke off their mostly-concealed fling shortly after the first semester of Greer’s freshman year. Since then, any trace of their history together has been wiped clean off Odie’s slate.

SECONDLY, A LIGHT OUTLINE

✧ No one would really admit it, but Leonora was that baby that married couples have when they’re on the brink of divorce— she was meant to fix George and Odessa’s failing relationship but the novelty of a new baby faded soon enough as her parents returned to their old routine, the new baby falling to the wayside. 

✧ Even so, they’d never gotten around to the divorce. Babies are like monkey’s paws in that way and neither one of them wanted to go through with a divorce when they’d gone and had another baby to care for. Through the mess of their marriage, they loved each other still, and those legals proceedings would only be inconvenient.  

✧ After his paternity leave had come and gone, George went back to working his long hours in the Sheriff’s office and Odessa was left home with a toddler and a newborn. She’d spend all day feeling alone at home, tending to the home and her kids; trying and failing to rekindle the love they’d cultivated in their adolescence.  

✧ While Leonora and her older brother were babbling little ones then, kids can still sense these things. Leo was a fussy girl herself, and she’d always demanded more attention than her mother was willing to give. Once she’d started crawling, her mother set her down in a little corral and left her to her own devices. 

✧ Most of her infancy was spent that way, her mother holding her at arms length as she reached out to her. George was a little better, though his own love came in bursts and then fizzled out entirely— he’d never had much energy when he came home, and most of the time he’d set her on his chest and doze off. 

✧ Toddlerhood was a little easier on Leo, if only because she’d had access to other forms of distraction ( unfortunately for her mother, these were messy ). She’d started painting around this time, though it’s something all kids do, right? Must be the same with the colorful handprints all over the walls which pissed her mom off to no end.

✧ Life teaches Leo to be loud and messy— those are the most surefire ways to get her mother’s attention: throwing food at her brother, running a crayon along the surface of the fridge. Anything to get her parents’ attention, though hindsight would say these acts only pushed her mother further away than before. 

✧ By the time Leo and her brother are in elementary school, Odessa’s thinking of joining the workforce. Desperate for anything that will get her out of the house, she applies for a waitressing job at Marie’s. The pay is minimal but the work fills whatever hole in her heart George has left. She needed this.

✧ It’s obvious then why she turned out the way she did: needy, nosy, annoying and whatever else the other kids would call her during her childhood. Leo hadn’t learned how to separate the good press from the bad; so long as someone was looking at her she’d felt like a sunflower facing the sun, and that would be her undoing in the end. 

✧ Puberty hits a girl like a ton of bricks then and it only gets worse. At home she’d had no audience save her brother and he’s gone and tired of her shit. He was hanging out with his own group of friends and she’d grown ungrateful of the ones that had allowed her in their own circle; she’d go and ruin them soon enough.

✧ One risky dare starts it all and then she’s flying higher and higher towards the sun in one massive Icarian feat before the wax on her wings start melting. Icarus’ own father warned him about his recklessness, and her own had gone and put her in handcuffs. When she’s high as a kite, she thinks about how tragically poetic that is.

✧ Fuck up first, apologize later is all fun and games until you’ve gone and burned all your bridges. Leonora now exists in a limbo of her own creation, not knowing how to move forward though everything she’s done keeps her from turning back. ‘I’m sorry’ seems meaningless at the end of the line, but what else is new.

THIRDLY, SOME HCS

Leo wasn’t diagnosed with ADHD until the latter years of Middle School; while she knows this is due in part to the socialization of girls and all of that, it digs the ‘your parents really went and overlooked you’ knife a little deeper.

The first time she ever put ink on her skin, it was because of a dare ( go figure ). Leonora could choose whatever design she wanted so long as the ink went on her lower back; the pain of getting her tramp stamped nearly killed her.

If memory serves her well, Leo first bleached her hair the day before the first of high school. She’d thought to make it subtle to keep her mom from freaking out, but once it was said and done she didn’t even try to hide it.

Foster Home for Imaginary Friends was one of those things that stuck with her in her childhood, so when her grandfather gifted her a red doberman, Leonora was quick to name the little guy Blooregard Q. Kazoo ( Bloo for short ).

She feels ridiculously lonely all the time, and her therapist tells her that it’s directly correlated to the reckless behavior of her youth. Leonora doesn’t necessarily think correlation equals causation, but the man might be right. 

One such bit of reckless behavior had her piercing one nipple on a dare, another had her biting into some shellfish she was allergic to ( leading to a fun ER night ), and a third had her eating a steak even though she’s vegetarian.

As far as more lasting consequences ( the piercing has since closed, so that doesn’t count ), one small piece of the cartilage on her right ear is missing and she has one scar running down her calf from these dangerous liaisons. 

Watched a single clip of Euphoria, a zoom-in of some lady’s eye makeup and it's kinda become a whole thing. Leo isn’t going all out with it or anything, but she can’t stop herself from sticking those little diamonds underneath her eyes.

As far as cliche artsy things go, she’s lugging around a sage green kanken decked in patches and pins, filled with hb pencils, an overfilled sketchbook, an empty one, and two toiletry bags because you can never be too prepared. 

Has a replica of Sam’s iCarly remote, which is basically her soundboard. She’s got it programmed with her favorite bites but switches some of the other ones out depending on the season ( and she’s got terrible comedic timing ). 

Follow-up for the iCarly remote, she’s got two specific sounds on lock: a slow clap ( because obviously ) and the sound of the world’s smallest violin from that one episode of Spongebob. The other stuff on rotation is mostly from TikTok. 

She’s got a membership to the fabric store in town and they know the girl by name; Leo loves all those fashion things but she’s not gonna burn money she doesn’t have so enter a hand-me-down, some fabric and a sewing machine

Leo: Beware the Quiet Ones, because even though he's the smallest and youngest, he's an example of a Badass Adorable who seems to have a Wall of (bladed) Weapons hidden in hammerspace.

Mikey: The Heart and Conscience of the team whose 'strategies' often utilize Confusion Fu.

Raph: The Boisterous Bruiser with a Soft Center often pulling a Leeroy Jenkins in battle.

Tmnt AU where Mikey is the oldest turtle, Leonardo is the second oldest, Raphael is third in line, and Donnie is the youngest. 

Mikey: 

-Is still the same fun loving turtle, he is very laid back 

-Due to his laid back nature, most people are shocked when they find out he is the oldest brother

-Rarely, if ever, uses his oldest brother authority. He will if he needs too, though

-When the turtles were very young, Mikey was the defacto leader in everything. As they got older, he and Leo started co-leading the team depending on the situation. Mikey is leader in the day to day situations, but Leo becomes leader when they are training or in battle. Mikey is fine with this as he never really wanted to be leader in the first place. 

- Takes his training more seriously overall then most of his counterparts due to having three younger brothers, but Splinter still thinks Mikey is not living up to his full potential. 

-Is a great emotional support to his younger brothers, he sometimes has a ‘Live and let live’ attitude with them making mistakes in their daily lives, but he will give advice if needed 

-He has faith that his brothers can take care of themselves, he has seen them in action. However, make no mistake, Mikey is viciously protective of them and, if you hurt any of the three, Mikey will end you. 

- Is sometimes not taken seriously by his brothers due to his laid back attitude

The Rise Leonardo post, the most blogged fandom post I've ever made, keeps getting bigger, and I kind of want to know what will happen as it gets even more notes. Maybe I'll finish the first Rise fic I ever thought up before it hits 700.

But I'm noticing that as new episodes reveal more big plots, angst moments, family fluff, and awesome back stories that might appease the haters (especially those comparing Rise to TTG), I am realizing that I really do want to hold off on writing a fic, which I've rarely ever done, making me want to explore every angle because if you've been patient and paying attention, you'll know that the writers have huge things in store for the characters and it makes me recall the spirit of Mirage more and more, as Tales of the TMNT was meant to be. This reboot really is wonderful at taking beloved characters and adding new dimensions. I suppose people who hate it haven't read too many AU fics.

Heel Face Turn - it’s when a character turn from good to bad and vice versa. It really applies to Daphne since she was once on Luke’s side.

Deadpan Snarker- She knows when a plan is stupid and will not hesitate to poin it out.

Ironic Name- In greek mythology Daphne was someone who Apollo loved but she didn’t and she pleaded the river god Peneus to free her from Apollo. She was turned into a Laurel. Ironically Daphne Briars is a daughter of Apollo.

Misunderstood Loner with a Golden Heart- Loner mostly because she betrayed the camp and people still resent her but really that camp is her home and she realizes that now.

Human Mom Nonhuman Dad - her mom was a consecutive archery winner which attracted Apollo. Twice.
