Deca and Venti both have a messed up sense of time. Its a case for all long lived beings (see Zhongli's multi hour long tea) to not get how long something truely takes. Venti's a lot better at this than Decarabian cause he had friends to atune too for this. Deca hasn't talked to Amos in months and is like "oh yeah we are still best buds :)" and not realizing how lonely she is. :(. She wants to tell him how much she misses and wants to talk to him more but he litterally can not tell how long it has been. "It feels like yesterday they were on a date night together! What dose she mean by that was weeks ago? What do you mean the last time they celebrated an anniversary was 3 years ago? Huh"

okay okay so he likes the idea of being a trophy, he likes even more the thought of being a trophy husband but has to deal with his issues of feeling like he has to win/be valuable first

weirdly the thought that a trophy husband is jokingly/affectionately not meant to contribute anything besides being pretty is comforting to him??

it's the fact that someone wants him around because he's there and not because he's a prize despite the name

is confident in his looks, but will have a mini crash out if something happens like a pimple or something

sunbathes like a cat. is there a sunbeam? he's in it and probably half awake if not fully sleeping

Hi! :) Back when viv was still developing hazbin and making speed draws, she would often draw art of vaggie with these unique eyes surrounding and staring at her, and the art would display vaggie feeling annoyed or uneasy. I find it still very interesting and was wondering if these were eyes that represented all the demons she killed and her guilt? or had to do with something else entirely. We’re still not completely sure if these are still present in current hazbin rn but I was curious on what your take, theories and over all thoughts are on it! Love your comics and AUs on Chaggie sm and can’t wait to see more!

Oh yeah that! I always did find that pretty neat when it came to her earlier arts. Even more interesting, is that this concept was carried over even in one of her trading cards.

I think the eyes are meant to represent a lot of things tbh, especially since eyes in the show had been associated with both Heaven and Hell.

Let's look at Hell's side first.

Your interpretation about the eyes being the demons she killed I think is one of the things it's supposed to mean. I don't know the source, so I dont consider this info canon, but I found out somewhere that the eyes that can be seen all over Hell is supposed to be what remains of the demons the Exorcists have killed. Like being cleansed by angelic steel can't completely erase them but simply make them part of Hell, if no longer sentient.

I have my doubts though, because in the intro backstory, the eyes seem to have already been in Hell before the Exterminations began.

And in the intro, the eyes showed up specifically after Charlie talked about Sin worming its way to humanity because of what Lilith and Lucifer convinced Eve to do. If this timing is in any way relevant, the eyes could be related to Roo aka The Root of Evil instead.

I'm not sure if other characters were drawn with these disembodied eyes as much as Vaggie has been. But at the very least, I think Vaggie's the one drawn the most often with them.

Anyways, considering all this, the more obvious and plausible answer could be that the eyes was just Vivzie's way of foreshadowing her guilt over Exterminating demons. But if Vaggie can be allowed to be more involved with the biggest bad of the show in a more direct way than just her close proximity with the main protag, then maybe it's even meant to foreshadow even more than we already know. I don't have a lot of hope for this tbh. It's not like Vaggie was a very important angel. Exorcists gave me the impression that they could be pretty low in Heaven's hierarchy. So like, idk why this could foreshadow a connection with Roo, but it is a super interesting thought to entertain lol

Now on Heaven's side though, the eyes could also just be for a touch of tragic irony I guess. Angels in the old testament looked a lot closer to this...

... Lotsa eyes and shit. And that's why the seraphs like Lucifer, Sera, and Emily could manifest multiple extra eyes in their "true forms".

But Vaggie was stripped away of everything that physically made her an angel. Lute took away her wings, halo, and even one of her goddamned eyes. Ain't it ironic that she has only one eye when the most powerful angels have been shown with a whole dang lot? Seems to me like it was another cruel way of Lute's to show that Vaggie "has no place in Heaven". And the eyes haunting Vaggie could be a manifestation of her thoughts of it being true.

So to tie this all together(except for the Roo thing), you're right. It could be the guilt over what she did to Hell's denizens. But it could also be an ironic, symbolic reminder that she was an exile of Heaven.

Reading your take on Spamtom/Tenna (which I found pretty interesting btw) made me kinda curious: Do you think that Spamtom knew about the prophecy during the bigshot era?

Because, in chapter 3, it's pretty clear that Spamtom at least knows about it RIGHT NOW. But when did he learn of it? I've seen alot of mixed theories on it and I think that this tidbit of information/where it fits in their timeline is probably one of THE big components in understanding their relationship and how it ended.

I just think that this interpretation/theory, where Spamtom, despite his many faults, did alot of things out of genuine care for Tenna (and that his love for Tenna was basically THE tipping point in his downfall) gets even more depressing if you consider that Spamtom moght have known that Tenna was going to die and wether or not that might have influenced some of his decisions. And it genuinely seems more like Toby's usual tone of writing compared to some interpretations I've seen (no hate to them obviously. Also not saying that your theory is the only plausible one or anything)

Tbh I think that Spamton knew about the prophecy in Big Shot era. I'm not sure if he knew immediately though. It's hard to say when he found out about it. But tbh I doubt that it was during the last phone call. Cause what would Tenna's death change despite that Spamton would lose his love. Tenna would die and Spamton would still be a Big Shot. He'd still have everything.

And why sponsor would need to punish Spamton for being with Tenna if it wasn't for something Spamton would try to do against sponsor's orders. And if Spamton tried to defy fate and save Tenna I think that this could be something that goes against sponsor's plan.

Cause even if what happened to Spamton might have been a part of plan I just think that helping Tenna to prevent his fate wasn't a part of it.

And I think that both Spamton and Tenna wanted to use each other but they fall in love with each other. I think that they at first thought that they're fooling each other but at some point they didn't even see when it became so real.

I think that Spamton really wanted to help Tenna and prevent his fate. I don't have any proof of that actually. I just can't help but to feel that their love was never a part of anything. Like it wasn't a part of the prophecy and it definitely wasn't the part of whatever that sponsor wanted from Spamton. Their love was never meant to be.

I just think that love is important in this story. I just feel like it might be the answer to how the world can be saved.

You know how they say that love defies odds and how it conquers everything.

I also think that love is what would actually give Spamton his freedom. Like yeah he probably know that he's a part of the game considering that he wants to reach heaven which is more than likely our world (you know irl). I just think that love would allow them to be free. Like idk I just think that love is important. Especially considering that it's even in the prophecy. That part with a girl and that love found her.

Like yeah I get it that if it's a part of prophecy how can it change anything. Idk tbh but I think that love requires being honest with yourself and your own feelings. Which is something both Spamton and Tenna weren't. Hence why I think that it was a part of reason to why their relationship fell apart.

Even if they were torn by fate itself if they were honest with their own feelings and knew that they loved each other it wouldn't stop them. They would do anything to find each other. And yet they ended up hating each other.

But I think that seeing how quickly Spamton forgot about any bad feelings he had towards Tenna when he saw that Tenna still has Pippis which was a proof that Tenna still cares they may have another chance. Because I think that their love is real. It was tested but they now have a chance.

Ofc it solely depends on Toby so I wonder if he has more for these two to come in the future. Cause I feel like their story seems quite important. Maybe it's because it seems that Tenna is one of Toby's favourite characters and Spamton seems to have some knowledge about some things or at least he seems to be important due to how he had that thorn ring in Snowgrave route.

And well Spamton's design has a few things in common with Friend - black elements like hair and shirt just like Friend's body (skin or fur or whatever that is) and pink and yellow glasses just like Friend's eyes.

And I really want to see Spamton and Tenna get back together you know please Toby please.

Also about a part about Toby's writing. I don't know much about his works or anything. I'm new to this fandom. I just love theorizing especially about my favourite characters.

Also I think that circumstances of Spamton's life like who he is - a spam mail - and how he was treated by everyone before he met Tenna - Addisons ditched him and they never bothered to look for him and they didn't want to talk about him and later Swatch also turned on Spamton even if they were friends amd he was angry that Spamton stole his looks but never cared to ask what's wrong - all of this made Spamton to look out only for himself making him selfish.

I also can't help but to think that what Spamton had to do in order to become Big wasn't anything fun if what he said during Sweepstakes we can take as truth. But I think that sponsor never cared about Spamton's well-being. Because it wasn't important to whatever sponsor's plan is.

But I think that Spamton wanted something more in his life. And he believed sponsor while I think that the right answer was love. Hence why I think that Spamton actually did care about Tenna. That he actually tried to do something against sponsor's orders.

Hence why I don't think that Spamton is evil. He did many bad things. But I don't think that he's actually that bad like many people seems to think.

I don't know how much inspiration from anime and manga Toby Fox gets for his stories but in anime and manga there are lots of characters like Spamton who at first glance seem to be only bad and selfish but underneath all of this is hurt and loneliness. And such characters upon recieving kindness or love change for the better.

And like I said in one of my posts Spamton reminds me of Ekubo from Mob Psycho 100 in many aspects. Hence why I can't help but to sympathise with Spamton and I believe that he's not that bad and now that Fun Gang helped him he actually changed.

(Yeah I know. And many interpretations are really interesting. I'd die from happiness if my theory (or guess more than anything) will turn out to be correct. But I'm happy that my ramblings resonate with others.)

TBH I was expecting someone, sooner or later, to ask me about a cookie that already has a disability. So, my take on Prune Juice. PS: Im gonna mostly explain and show images, not sure if I'm gonna draw something but I can add it later (its very late and I don't have the energy for drawing). ------------------------------------------ So, as many of you know, Prune Juice has a physical and magical disability of sorts. This has make him pretty frail physically and not been capable of doing magic. Here's a snip from the Wiki which goes a bit more in detail but also brings something to note.

It's mention that Prune Juice might have a myopathy of sorts (a myopathy is an illness that create a deficiency or abnormality in muscle groups) which makes sense. Now, this doesn't look bad if you're looking for something that specific but... What's my take? Even before that, gonna add a quick one not related but I prefered here than at the end. I can see Prune Juice with Photosesitivity. My father has very similar light blue eyes and, for him, bright places can hurt his eyesight quite a bit. Why would it affect a cookie? - Simple. Prune Juice Cookie ingridient (literally Prune Juice) is very high in sugar. You could say that maybe it wouldn't be Hypoglycemia, but Diabetes, which is fair. BUT that would make all juice base cookies with high sugar to be on the same boat. So, having him missing a part of the sugar his body needs seems more plausible.

Is this why he can't do magic? - Pretty much. Try to think of magic has having to balance different elements of the cookie world, such as sugar. This lack of it makes it so Prune Juice is unable to do magic.

option one: it's a direct translation. sinestro is in fact saying the words 'alley rat' in korugarian and the ring is picking it up and translating as is. this raises a few questions, namely being what the hell does a rat or rat-equivalent look like on korugar? are the implications the same? is it a similar animal? is it a small mammal commonly considered a pest and historically associated with grime and pestilence? or is it a different looking animal entirely with a similar meaning behind it? and would it also be called a rat even? what animal is sinestro comparing kyle to and what exactly do those connotations mean on his homeworld? is it better or worse than being called a rat on earth? tldr: sinestro IS saying the words 'alley rat' but what the fuck is a rat on his planet?

option two: no, sinestro isn't saying the words 'alley rat' directly translated, but an insult similar to it. as in, there is an insult that is widespread in korugarian but doesn't have a perfect equivalent in english. i think this is pretty plausible too bc i'm bilingual and i find that there are various phrases in my mother tongue that i genuienly cannot translate perfectly to english. i feel like these differences over whole different planets would be far greater and more widespread. tldr: sinestro ISN'T saying alley rat but what is he saying instead?

The Sirius being in love with James if he was into dudes is so real - how did Jegulus and Wolfstar become so popular when Prongsfoot was right there?!

The real reason is that shipping is more often a product of what fan culture wants than what the story itself shows (which is fine!) When Wolfstar became a thing, Jily was still the most popular ship for the MWPP era, and so you basically could have everyone's favorite characters double-dating (perfect excuse to cut unpopular Peter out of the dynamic altogether.) It was insanely popular for years and dominated all fanart and fanfic for those two characters—people when the books came out really thought it was canon and there was a lot of drama when Remadora sailed. The dynamic with Sirius and Remus in those fics played with a lot of typical/popular slash tropes (cool guy and bookish hot nerd) of the early 2000s.

Now, people ship what they ship, that's fine. My biggest issue with Wolfstar is that I feel like it led to people in the fandom fundamentally misinterpreting the dynamic of the Marauders as a group. James is clearly the person both of them like and trust the best of their friends, and it's canon that they both distrusted each other enough to each think the other was a spy. There is nothing in the books that would indicate there is anything particular in Lupin and Sirius's relationship (they might have actually been the least close of the four, given what happened.) In the Willow scene there is a classic adolescent boy group pecking order and Lupin is very obviously below James in Sirius's esteem. It's not a friendship of equals and is never portrayed as such. Lupin's inability to check Sirius and James's less savory behavior is a major character defining trait—he and Peter are both the followers in the group.

For the record, I think you could write Sirius/Remus in a romantic dynamic that would be consistent with their characters in the books, it would just be a hell of a lot more dysfunctional than fandom usually portrays them. Sirius would probably be using Lupin because he can't get James and Lupin would understand that's what's happening but put up with it because he has low self-esteem. He would still be passive-aggressive as hell, though.

Of course, Sirius and James having a romantic relationship gets in the way of the most important canon relationship, that of Harry's parents, which is why I suspect it never got a lot of traction in the fandom.

Jegulus seems to be a product of just moving away from the books/straight ships tbh. Back in my day Jily was a totally sacrosanct ship, nobody shipped either of them with anyone (except Snape with Lily, which actually had a canon basis! I guess Snape/James sort of existed too, but that was pretty fringe.)

Bonus: I even find Sirius and Snape being shipped together more plausible/interesting than Sirius and Lupin, lol. Shout out to the Snack people.

There are so many…Teru is a big one, most fans fail to see that everything he does is self-sacrificial and he is far from pure evil. No, Akane is not a sexual assaulter/harasser, and he has a personality outside of Aoi. No, Nene is not flawless nor a pick-me but she’s not intentionally awful either. Hanako is meant to be sympathetic, he’s not just a killer or a “yandere.” Aoi is more than her ships, that goes for both Aoinene and Terukaneaoi. Hakubo is NOT a groomer and yes he has emotions. Mitsuba is one of the kindest, most empathetic characters in the series. Kou is increasingly becoming more selfish and has quite a few faults. Sumire is her own character beyond all the characters people compare her to. Tsukasa has many selfless qualities and is not just an abusive murderer. Sakura is more emotional than people give them credit for. Natsuhiko is not purely silly but he’s not totally heartless either. Mei and Shijima are not the exact same, and they both have personality traits outside of yuri shipping. I could go on forever tbh

He canonically wants Mitsuba to depend on him to the point of being useless, and we’ve also seen him hold Mitsuba down and attempt to force-feed him. I’ll also say I don’t like the way the fandom handles the Sousuke vs. Mitsuba thing, they either view them as entirely the same or entirely separate when neither are true. They share a soul, but are different people

I know I should say the twincest bait but I have a personal hatred for the scene where Hanako possesses Nene. Obviously the twincest thing is bad too but at least that has some plausible deniability yk. And they kinda stopped doing it at some point. Whereas Hanako SAing Aoi and Nene at the same time is an undeniable thing that happened on screen and was never addressed again. The fact that Kou didn’t help bcuz he found it hot also made me cringe. Idk I just wish the scene hadn’t been included, it was very odd. A total of 29 for all fandoms combined…I don’t have many squicks but the ones I do have are intense. It’s pretty much all just ships I don’t want to see. I have some ship tags that I unfiltered because I ended up liking them (TsuMitsu, Tsunene). But my current count is 29

FUCKING HAKUBO I love him to death. Tsukasa too but the Hakubo hate makes me extra irritated because it’s very obviously racially motivated that fans are unwilling to see him as an actual character and instead just shove villainized traits onto him in order to justify their hate. It’s as though nobody read his arc, or more like people did in fact read it but nobody even attempted to understand it because they subconsciously didn’t want to care about a black character. While he isn’t the only character to be called abusive, it has very different undertones with him due to the stereotype about black men being violent. Yes he does act violently in certain scenes but fans overlook why he does that, and the fact that he has very strict morals with him refusing to kill children.

There are many things to like about Hakubo, he’s one of the most well-written characters in the manga. First of all, his character design is very badass; I’m not into dudes but imo he should be the designated Adult Male Character To Simp For instead of Tsuchigomori (Teacher Amane is also valid). He’s got a sense of humor that fans don’t seem to pick up on, it’s cute to me how often he teases Sumire. His entire arc is marked with tragedy, the kinda angst fans usually eat up. He spent his entire life thinking he didn’t have feelings, and he didn’t realize he did until he was forced to kill the person who made him feel the strongest. I mean c’mon!! That is top tier angst. Arguably the saddest part of the manga. And the scene where he kills Sumire’s village to avenge her???? Easily one of my favorite scenes, it was so metal. He’s also got blorbo potential because despite being a literal god of death, he is ultimately Just Some Guy. Half the time just kinda stares at people. And also the dehumanization he went through at the hands of the Minamoto clan is my prime reason for hating them (aside from the main siblings and their mom). His story is so upsetting like this man has never had an easy life. And I just want to hug him. Guys please stan Hakubo he deserves all the love in the world

So many fans dumb down his character due to him being “silly.” And don’t get me wrong, that is absolutely a side of his personality. He is very goofy and likes to tease people and canonically has an atrocious fashion sense. But some fans reduce him to those more comedic traits and ignore his flaws and trauma, and subsequently every other side of his personality. He is sadistic and charming and highly intelligent despite not being educated on domestic tasks. He may not be able to survive in like a regular house on his own but if the gang got stranded on an island together, he would be their leader. Multiple things can be true at once yk

that one thing you see in fics all the time

So not to come for my own gang but I’m a little burnt out on one-sided Aoinene, especially when Nene is fawning over some man instead. I know it’s more accurate to canon but since when do gay shippers care about canon??? We’re supposed to be the creative ones. I still enjoy those fics because people work hard on them but unrequited love is like my least favorite trope ever. Besides, we see one-sided Aoinene all the time. At this point, the trope is overdone. Let’s start focusing more on Nene’s side of things, I want to see her get flustered over her girlfriend. I also think it’s funny that Nene gets written as straight so often considering the fact that she canonically blushed at Sakura and called her a babe. I’ve read a couple reallyyyyyy good fucky Aoinene fics that utilize Aoi’s temporary canon death, usually involving her haunting Nene or Nene hallucinating her, and I would love to see more of that with them. While it is valid to criticize the sexualization of teenaged characters, some fans take it to the extreme of denying or shunning any sexual themes at all, which happen mainly with the adult characters (aka Hakubo and Sumire). And also the discourse surrounding Mitsuba’s sexuality and the canon status of Mitsukou, which shouldn’t even exist. Mitsuba is gay, Mitsukou is canon. End it discussion

Not sure what is happening in Drarry fandom but it feels like many authors don't even ship Drarry, all they focus on is down and out Draco and Harry treating him terribly in the name of trauma. It's good to have a reminder that canon does not support this interpretation so I can continue to reject this brainwashing. Give me these two being gremlins obsessed with each other or give me death.

Thank you so much! That's lovely to hear. I think a really great thing about fandom - and especially a big ship like drarry - is that there's room for all different interpretations and content. The key to enjoying it is seeking out the things we like and curating our own experience, and letting others do the same. Also, while fics have no obligation to be true to canon, I will say that personally I don't think the "down and out" Draco trope is necessarily inconsistent with canon. As far as I know this trope refers to Draco having fallen on hard times which...is quite plausible given that his family managed to somehow alienate BOTH sides of the conflict. A pretty impressive feat tbh. Honestly, post book 7 probably the one thing everyone in the wizarding world can agree on is 'we hate the Malfoys.'

And remember, Draco's got the Dark Mark, Voldemort was using his house as a base, the Carrows probably spill the beans on him having been involved in Dumbledore's death & Imperiusing Rosmerta, plus other Death Eaters probably testify that he used the Imperius Curse on them since I'm sure post war they all start selling each other out to get lighter sentences. From an outsider POV that kinda makes it look like Draco was a super hardcore DE who was in Voldemort's inner circle. Which probably does not endear him to most anti-Voldemort people post-war and probably makes his life a lot harder.

But yeah. It's true I do personally find drarry fics jarring when they go too hard on the enemies thing post-war. I mean, while I don't think Harry would immediately fall into Draco's arms or trust him unreservedly post-war, I also don't think he would hate him or be angry he didn't go to Azkaban. What makes these two characters so special is not just their antagonism, but also how they are drawn to each other and how when the chips are down they always risk everything to keep each other safe, even when they're on opposite sides of a war and common sense says they should be at each other's throats. I love some good bitter enemies to lovers, but the cool thing here is how even at their most antagonistic, they DON'T hate each other, even though they "should."

But that's just me. I'm not here to judge others or to tell people what they should or shouldn't enjoy. And I think fandom is nicer when we focus on what we personally enjoy rather than on criticizing or judging others.

So because for whatever reason, TFA Sentinel has been incredibly prevalent in my mind today, I decided I might as well draw him

The first big issue was drawing that goddamn face. The big chin caused problems for me because it changes how I need to draw the face. So he didn’t really end up looking great on my first try (top left)

But by the second drawing I found a way, one that stuck throughout the rest of the drawing as I had the sketch on hand to look at. This is how I had it for that last one

But yeah, scheming Sentinel probably ended up turning out the best in my opinion

I still need to work on his body proportions though, the bottom left especially is pretty wonky. But maybe with some more practice I’ll get it down more

It’s the shovel things on his shoulder that get me the most, I feel like I make them too small but also they cover too much area at the same time

I think he needs to properly suffer before getting a proper arc though. Or I guess have that be what drives him to change his ways. Not really sure what the suffering would be though, since I don’t think getting punished for his shadiness as acting Magnus would do that, it’d be more comeuppance than anything

I’m thinking it should deal with his organic phobia, like have him be made a techno-organic or something, if only temporarily. But even if temporary, he has to properly suffer like that for a while, maybe gaining more of an understanding of what Blackarachnia’s gone through and/or more of an understanding of organics

Honestly considering Blackarachnia was going to be the villain of Season 4, it probably wouldn’t be that implausible, I just don’t know if they would. And it’ll never happen anyways, so who cares?

Ah well, I suppose. That’s what fanfiction is for. So I need a multi chapter fanfic about a Sentinel redemption arc. Maybe it could be me one day, but I don’t have the commitment for that right now, just like every other idea I had
