when I look at Trump voters I'm seeing a few different reasons for why they might have voted for him and whether they got what they were hoping for, and obviously this is a very qualitative assessment based on discourse vibes, not aiming for polling accuracy or anything:
there are the people that want to troll the libs so they voted for Trump and he gave them exactly what they asked for, best exemplified I think by stuff like the recent push to bring back the Washington Redskins brand, like why would the US president be doing that? why would anyone be doing that? but boy does that troll the libs! so these voters won, at least if they haven't been deported or lost their jobs or benefits or anything like that.
then there are the people that really dislike Democrats, and they are technically correct that Trump is not a Democrat, so whether they approve of Trump or not relative to other Republican candidates they at least spared themselves four years of Kamala.
some people want a tax cut and figure Trump is going to give them one; I think that's actually not guaranteed when you look at the bigger picture, like a big tax cut over here tends to be balanced out by a tax hike over there, but at least in the short term Trump is delivering the goods (to voters in the appropriate tax bracket anyway).
some people dislike Mexicans specifically or foreigners in general and they're certainly getting what they wanted.
apparently there are some people who aren't super racist or xenophobic but just want people to follow the law and so they voted for... Trump? fuck off, the man hasn't seen a law he wouldn't wipe his arse with, but okay sure let's admit the possibility that there is someone out there who believes in deporting illegal immigrants, is absolutely not racist about it, and also believes in the principle of unchecked executive power so they're not hypocritical about it either, no doubt they're heartbroken to see how ICE is doing this and they're also a fucking moron.
a group of people I find interesting are the evangelicals who vote for Trump because a lot of them go hard on the idea that he's a servant of god, it isn't just a political coalition of convenience where they hold their nose and vote for the morally repugnant guy who's going to help them ban abortion in exchange, they actually believe he's a devout believer or a prophet or even a god-king of sorts, like that sounds crazy but go look at some of the shit that middle aged evangelical women used to tweet at this man when he was still on Twitter, it's unhinged, so much so that I can't even say with confidence whether they got what they wanted because what they wanted and what they see is so completely detached from reality.
there are also various tech billionaire types who pivoted to back Trump for a variety of reasons, one would assume self-interest, and it's complicated to evaluate whether they're getting what they paid for, jury is still out on that one, but crypto supporters certainly seem to be getting what they wanted and that's relaxed regulation on crypto products and potentially US government investment in bitcoin (!).
now who have I missed

“I can’t believe people hate Endeavor and like the League of Villains”
The league members are all shown to have faced abuse, neglect, and injustice in their lives that lead them to where they are.
What abuse, neglect, or injustice has Endeavor faced to make him do what he did?
Not as an excuse for their actions, but as an explanation for why people empathize with the league members more than they do with Endeavor.

EDIT: please stop calling me stupid and talking down to me for “not paying attention” to nintendos other dirty tactics (which I already was VERY well aware of btw) and getting angry because “erm well how was I suppose to know, dumbass” THIS WAS A VENT ABOUT TECHBROS ON TWITTER WHO WERE SPECIFICALLY BEING DISMISSIVE OF IT THE RB WHERE I CLARIFY THIS IS GETTING BURIED SO IM PUTTING IT ON THE MAIN POST NOW
Nintendo hatedom is crazy because like wdym y’all think the switch 2 not having an OLED screen and having inflation pricing is the most anti consumer, discourse worthy thing they’ve ever done but peach’s VA finding out she got recasted the day Mario kart world launched isn’t worth raising hell over or talking about whatsoever???
#I s2g all the Nintendo haters go silent the minute they do something actually awful#I better see people talking about how they handled her recasting so poorly nonstop#thoughts#nintendo#mario kart world#switch 2

Long ask.
Forgive me, this will be all over the place.
I have noticed that over the past few years the hate for the boys has been escalating particularly for Jimin, Jungkook and Joonie.
For Joonie, among other things, because as a leader, if they break him, they might break BTS. (Gosh look at him😭. Has me my man, my man, my man-ning all over the place like a dog in heat, it's embarrassing and a little concerning). Sorry, I digressed but look at him 😭😭😭, y'all don't thirst over this man enough. Woof!
Anyways, moving on.
For Jungkook, among a plethora of other reasons, because of the unrivaled, unmitigated global success he has had and continues to have (am so proud of my funky lil popstar ✨).
He came, he saw, he conquered. Kicked ass and took names. Ate and left no crumbs. Had them by the neck. Pulled up and shut it down (Somebody stop me 😭)
The way some army attribute his success to the 🛴 guy boils my blood, and that rage is for another day.
This post is towards Jimin.
Jimin's hate is both from outside and inside the fandom ( am not talking about solos, toxic shippers, mantis and the like) but people who claim to be 0T7.
I know that Jimin has had haters for years but the shady tweets I saw during the FACE and MUSE era from so called "ARMY" said a lot. Am not here to debate who is or isn't ARMY. That's for another time.
My question is, why does Jimin's success seem to be a sore spot for some 0T7s? The one reason I have been able to come up with is that Jimin sort of messed up the hierarchy system.
Let me explain and see if I make sense. For a long time, when people thought of the maknae line, no matter the order in which they ranked Tae and Kookie, Jimin was always the third one. Too many posts relegating him to the role of cheerleader and not much else. I saw posts before solo works commenced dismissing the idea that Jimin would ever release an album but would instead fully support the others. Well, he not only released two solo albums, but was also a composer, lyricist among other things, so they can take their opinion and smoke it.
When the solo era started, people had different expectations for what every maknae members would achieve but no matter the expectations, those for Jimin were that he would be third. Bronze medalist if you will.
FACE was released, Like Crazy got to number 1 and I logged off twitter. We were in hell particularly when it went from 1 to 45 after Billboard deleted over 100k sales and changed the rules (thank you Travis Scott for freeing Jimin and finally taking that number 1 spot). The hate from outside was expected, it was when it came from within the fandom that it hurt.
Fast forward to MUSE and it got worse. Sprinkle in a dash of Are You Sure and we have
Here I have a list of things I have noticed
1. An increase in the number of people talking about how they hate PJMs and how they are making them turn against Jimin. Honey, if a solo can make you dislike one member, you aren't sh*t anyway.
2. Dislike for Jimin disguised as dislike for his solos. If you haven't seen it, consider yourself lucky.
3. How sometimes ARMY came in droves when a member didn't achieve something but Jimin did. For example Spotify US. When a new song failed to enter but Jimin's songs increased ( during both LC and Who era).
4. His long run on the hot 100 has really revealed people's true colours. It's not his fault. Blame the fandom for their clear bias.
5. The number of ARMY accounts on X low key calling AYS fanservice.
6. Discourse on Jimin's ability to sing. I don't argue with stupid people.
I could go on and on but what I am trying to say is that in a perfect world, it would be wonderful if all the members had the same support from ARMY. The discrepancy needs to be addressed (caused by a multitude of reasons) but making it a member's fault and not the fandom is asinine.
I used to be a 1D fan and my favourite member to date is the least favourite and successful, Louis Tomlinson but that doesn't mean I hate on Harry, Zayn or Niall for their success. I wouldn't even know where to begin.
What prompted this you may ask? I saw a post talking about Jimin being the company and fandom fave and having special support. Like huh?
All in all what I am trying to say is that Jimin really shook things up and some people resent him for it. That one post (article?) about Jimin bringing out either admiration or envy keeps getting proven right.
Keep supporting this angel for a long and happy life.
What do you think are some other reasons for the increase in the 0T6 agenda against Jimin?

It’s actually crazy to me how popular dropout has become. Like I’m so fucking happy for them and the budget and success they have (pls give Brennan a break though he has a baby he needs like 9 months paternity leave at least) but it blows my mind when there are all these thinkpieces in mainstream media about them. Selling out Madison square garden. Talking about how it’s bringing the British panel show to America”. Like I’m not even American but you could bring together a group of 10 people and at least 1 of them would know dropout stuff. And then I just think back to 2020 when I was so into the Dimension 20 fandom and there were legit like 250 people active. Everyone tuned in for the Covid adventuring parties just to watch them do bits over zoom for 2 hours. You could get the cast to follow you on Twitter. I was in so ground floor I own the username “budcubby”. It was so small and niche. And now that it’s everywhere, it’s kinda crazy to think about. Remember beartrapbrennan? Remember lesbians4zacoyama? Were you there for the auction discourse!! Do you know who Rabdiodal is!

I've never actually gone out of my way to like, actually watch 9-1-1 myself, and thus just about everything I know about the show comes from twitter discourse, gay fanfiction, and random clips and edits that i come across on tiktok, and yet I have decided that ABC desperately needs to let me become the new showrunner, and thus;
Things I would do if I suddenly got to replace Tim Minear as showrunner (even though I'm not 100% sure what exactly his job is past deciding on storylines):
The first episode is the entirety of the opening emergency - doesn't totally matter what specifically it is, but there are actual like serious civilian injury and casualty, Athena and Chim have to work closely together for this one and one of the larger groups of injured civilians is this group of middle schoolers and one of those kids even younger brother. it's the opening of the season so we probably shouldn't do anything too horrific to the kids, but they're hurt and it's just a little too close to being bad for for Athena or Chims comfort. At the end of the day Chim says that he's headed home to hug Jee and the baby, and Athena asks if she'd be welcome to visit as well. there's a scene of chim, Maddie, and Athena hugging jee, then chim goes to take her to bed or smth while Maddie takes Athena to see baby robert in his crib - Athena smiles down at him and says "hi bobby," and for a moment we cut down to her pov over the crib of the baby stirring, but right as his eyes open we hard cut to an overview shot of Bobby nash, alive, waking up on a table, he doesn't look particularly surprised just tired and miserable. and thats how we end the episode 🎉
jee still thinks that baby Robert is her sister. no matter how many times someone tries to correct her, no matter the fact that his name is Robert, she insists that that's her little sister. it's an unending recurring bit through the entire season
there's a whole episode where buck finally just decides to binge watch glee (possibly after getting injured and put on temp leave), and one of the characters thats only in like two episodes of the first season that looks disturbingly similar to chim. like, that's literally him. and buck goes on this whole crazy conspiracy about chim having a secret twin or clone that is also an actor, before chim finally just tells him that he was on the show bc he was friends with someone that worked on it at the time and had extra vacation time and thought "that might be fun" - buck goes slightly crazy at this information
eddie gay realization scene is something silly and dumb. like the thing that finally makes it click in his head is so small and absurd that he starts to think back on all the things that should have tipped him off and goes "Oh my god I'm a fucking idiot" –> it's something silly like,, he watches brokeback mountain for the first time bc buck wanted to see it, and while he's crying at the end he just goes "oh my god I'm gay 😭" and buck goes "what." and he goes "wha? 😥" and doesn't even realise what he'd said - or that he meant it - until like 30 minutes later while buck spirals next to him
Buck actively calls himself bisexual. thats all.
tommy and gerard stay gone, DONT CAAAARE 🙂↕️😋
Ravi and Karen mains
a whole plot line about Karen's job - I dunno what specifically about but it be fun and I need it tyvm
more random plot lines that really skirts the line on whether supernatural elements exist or not, for funzies
Ravi centric stories - we learn more about his trauma, his relationships, his parents who are actually cool chill people (to which, the rest of the 118 are like "wtf, why doesn't he get parental issues like the rest of us???")
adhd buck canon 🙂↕️
once Bobby finally returns he retires and gets to have nothing but silly background plot lines - i.e. Athena shows him twitter fandom, and now that he has so much time off he gets like Way too into it, Athena thinks it's very fun until she finds out that they've blocked each other on Twitter over ship discourse
an entire episode from Chris's pov - it's majorly shot differently than the rest of the show, and has a different narration style. honestly, after the end of s8 I just think we deserve more of Chris's perspective on everything happening around him, thanks
buddie canon by the middle of the season, I dunno how specifically, but yeah - secret relationship for a few episodes which then leads to;
bottle episode in the firehouse - everyone is violently bored and causing problems about it, theyve even tried saying the q-word but it just wont work, buck and Eddie keep trying to sneak in some alone time but everyone is in such close corters and aware of everyone else that it's fucking hard, finally they get a moment but chim walks in on them and is horrified. they manage to convince him that he needs to keep it secret at least for a little while (they're guilt trippy as fuck, you'd best believe) - he's struggling the entire rest of the episode, and honestly buddies made peace with the fact that everyone's going to find out today anyways, so they're not particularly upset or surprised when he finally blurts it out infront of everyone. everyone else though goes deathly quiet, glancing between chim and buddie, and finally buck goes "... it's really quiet right now." and Then the bell finally rings for the first time in 10 hours
buck and Eddie run into father Brian while they're out (pre buddie canon, me thinks) and Eddie is kinda embarrassed while he tells him that he was totally right and blahblahblah. meanwhile, buck is right beside him about to pop from jealousy at Eddie giving some credit to this guy for his gay realization - even when he realizes he's literally a priest, he cannot stop being weird about it, and Eddie just thinks it's soo funny of him
Maddie becomes an emergency medical director for dispatch: she directs people on what they should do during medical emergencies until help arrives - she kind of already does this, but I think having her take on this particular role would be a good move forward for her character and career
hen, karen, Maddie, Eddie wine nights. they gossip and talk shit and get tipsy. plus Maddie Eddie interactions finally
and probably more things but this is long already and I need to do homework
#911 abc#911 on abc#evan buckley#chimney han#maddie buckley#maddie han#jee yun buckley han#robert nash han#thats still so goddamn funny to me LMAO#bobby nash#bobbyalivemaxxing#eddie diaz#christopher diaz#karen wilson#hen wilson#buddie#henren#madney#athena grant#ravi panikkar#911 season 8#911 season 9#bathena#fuck tim minear#im showrunner now 😌#headcanon#fanfiction#i might make one of these ideas into a little mini comic#thatd be fun#anyways

How I would have done Teldrassil
There was some Sylv discourse today on twitter, which I totally missed and Nobbel deleted whatever tweet he made so idek what it was about lol, BUT I read some "how it should have been" tweets and I wanted to write down how I would have done Teldrassil:
So, Azeroth just got stabbed and everyone is trying crazy experiments with the newly discovered Azerite. Kaldorei druids end up making some azerite infused super-life substance that has pretty great healing properties, but by accident, they discover it has the opposite effect on undead. It vaporizes undeath. Maybe someone had an undead battle pet out and it touched the goo and it died like a cartoon in roger rabbit.
Anyway, the worst thing to happen to Azeroth in recent history WAS undead and having a potential weapon against that is super good, but there's the whole political problem of ~oops~ we have something that can instantly vaporize a particular enemy race… a race that's not insanely well liked even by their allies... a race that can only keep 'living' by preying on the dead of everybody else, and makes anywhere they live spooky and rotting and gross to everyone but them… anyway we won't keep this secret forever, but, in the middle of this whole azerite-rush, we'll just wait until tensions are not QUITE so high, then bring this all to light in a peaceful and honest way and both factions will have control of supply and security etc., and use it only for the good healing properties, or against any new undead threats, and definitely not against Forsaken.
But ofc, Horde spies end up discovering the existence of this Undead-Away and tell the Warchief.
A good Warchief would handle this by demanding it all fully be turned over to both factions, they would acknowledge the benefit of having that kind of power, studying the tech, but also acknowledge the extreme danger to an integral part of the Horde, and take extra steps to ensure their safety and reiterate the Forsaken's value to the Horde.
Warchief Sylvanas, however, would need to ensure Undead-Away was destroyed, and kill anyone who knew how to make it, at any cost. That type of unique threat to the Forsaken could not be allowed to exist. She would claim the Night Elves had been creating a weapon unbeknownst even to their allies (technically true), and were therefore preparing to be aggressive (a lie). She would omit the fact this weapon only affects undead, maybe even orchestrate an incident that made it seem like it affected the living too, with the help of her alchemists. Even if it came to light that this weapon only really affected undead, the idea of deceitful Night Elf weaponry would still have been planted, that particular knowledge would come too late to really matter.
Teldrassil must be attacked and temporarily controlled in order to purge this substance too dangerous for either faction to control. "USE IT ON THE ALLIANCE" some more bloosthirsty members of the Horde would say. No, no, Sylvanas would say, that would be dishonorable :). For the good of Azeroth, such a weapon must be destroyed. Sylvanas has turned a new leaf after all, she's not blighting anymore, she's interested in stability as Warchief. Both factions should be kept in check.
So, the plan would be to surprise attack Teldrassil, occupy it, purge the city of all the Undead-Away, and then... leave. They would make their intentions clear to the Alliance (after they had started the attack, of course) and actually, pretty true to their word, they would let anyone who wanted to leave the tree go peacefully. Obvs any nobody-druid who knew how to recreate the weapon would wind up dead, and any too-important druid would have to risk escalating the conflict by calling out Sylvanas's lies. But for the most part, there would be no excessive death caused by the Horde forces, Sylvanas would even make a point of publicly punishing any Horde for unapproved violence.
Sylvanas wouldn't need or want a greater conflict than necessary, so there would be none, unless the Alliance wanted to return to all out war against the Horde over what would ultimately amount to just be humiliation.
Because a pre-BFA, pre-Jailer, pre-shit Sylvanas's end goal was this: Don't die. She tried dying before, and she went to Hell, so her goal now is Never Die Again. Never Dying would be achieved by ensuring the Forsaken are a strong race with a secure future. For that, she needs a balance of Forsaken power, but also healthy and happy living races that keep reproducing, so that they keep dying, so that Forsaken can keep reproducing.
But, at some point during the occupation, Teldrassil burns. And we don't know why. Maybe some Horde did it to be mean. Maybe it was an accident as some Night Elves fought back righteously against the occupying Horde. Maybe some kind of magic + Undead-Away is insanely flammable. We never learn the truth, and if we did, it doesn't matter. The Alliance blames the Horde, and the Horde blames the Alliance.
The leaders of the Alliance heroically and epically rescue most of the citizens still in the city, with Tyrande and Malfurion leading the effort. The Horde occupying the city are not quite as lucky, but they're soldiers. So a lot of them are tryhards and have gliders so they can just jump off the tree :). And some Alliance and Horde still die horribly in flames.
Night Elves lose their home, and Sylvanas prepares for the Alliance's retaliation. It wasn't her goal, but it's something she can work with. The Horde and the Forsaken will not fall, and the banger ass BFA trailer actually makes sense and isn't false advertising.

Okay I'm gonna try to summarize the recent IWTV goings-on, skipping over the background that we all know next season they're primarily adapting the Vampire Lestat novel, and the focus and tone is gonna shift heavily toward him being the central character when Louis had that role in the first two seasons (and particularly last season when for plot reasons Lestat was absent for a lot of it). That's a cause for... excitement for some and also concern for a lot of people. For reasons that should be obvious but believe me I've had posts in the drafts.
There's already been a whole round of award discourse before Emmy season started, and this is kind of a continuation of it. Insert 13 disclaimers that I don't hate Sam Reid, but there's a vibe that they'd really love to anoint him as the breakout star/"face" of the show already and it doesn't totally track with the fact he had a relatively minor role in season 2.
So first off, there were multiple press events recently - meant to promote the show and season two specifically as an Emmy contender - where Sam Reid was the only member of the cast present, alongside some white producers and occasionally Daniel Hart the composer. Oh, Sam and Eric are scheduled for one of them I think. Like we're not even getting into S3 promotion yet, they just ended a season unquestionably led by two Black and one South Asian actor and uhhhhh... listen some choices were made here.

Speaking of the Emmys, AMC did submit Jacob in the lead actor category, Delainey for supporting actress, and 20-something technical awards, but only submitted Sam for supporting actor again, notably excluding Assad Zaman even from consideration.
In a particularly awkward moment from one of these FYC events, producer Mark Johnson (not to be confused with the showrunner, he's a higher exec involved in the Mayfair/Talamasca spinoffs too) was talking about how positive the reaction to the show has been and that it has a 98% on Rotten Tomatoes and he credited much of that to "this man". Sam quickly deflected and started naming the rest of the cast as well, while the producer "playfully" interjected "No it's allll you!" Did he say it in an "I'm just joshing" way? Sure. Did he or anyone other than Sam take a moment to sincerely credit the rest of the cast at any point? Not that I've heard!
Meanwhile Jacob Anderson's off recording music mostly and the last time he was asked about next season, he gave a not very reassuring answer that sounded like he hasn't been much in the loop about it. About a week ago he managed to log into twitter, retweet (possibly by accident) a very pointed fan tweet about only one actor being at all these events, and then deleted it and made a cryptic post indicating he was just lurking and telling fans to 'behave'.
(deep breath)
So. It is in THIS CONTEXT, and the worst timing possible, that AMC today released a press release that there would be a Rockstar Lestat-themed "promotional tour" ahead of season 3. It's kind of unclear exactly what that means... mostly it seems like it's aimed at advertisers who want to do, like, tie-in branded content? But whatever it is, the season hasn't started filming yet and they're gearing up to do some crazy levels of marketing unseen in the first two seasons so I was a little salty about it.

Am I the asshole in this situation??
First of all I'm so sorry for bringing t/b discourse here but this has been so gd annoying I need help. And all this is is on twitter-retro etc.
I'm 100% here for switch please keep in mind. Idc what anyone else likes it's food I'll eat all of it. But this fandom. Oh this fandom. So here's the context, it's a anime show with a really popular almost canon mlm ship, one of them is crazy beautiful and the other one is a big muscular man. Naturally the fandom like the pretty man as bottom and the muscular man as top. Let's call this DC. Not all people tho and it's the problem.
See, there are some creators who hate the above dynamics so much they make the muscular man a woman, sometimes trans which is fine but they always babygirl him, call him wifey, use she/her pronouns, go all out to make the pretty man over the top masculine so he can be top while making the canon masculine man demure little wife. Note that they're both really tall but D has long hair so they always make him wear accessories to feminize him. I made friends with some authors who used to like switch, they wrote DC back then and they were so good. They were all into switch too. Over the years they became really hateful of DC dynamics and started to exclusively write CD, talk about CD only, rt CD art exclusively.
This is still fine, they're like 10 people out of thousands who don't care, and most people don't care. Until one day recently when I said it was better to ship switch. Those people started clowning me, saying it's their right to exclusively like whatever, write whatever, started ignoring how the show portrays them. They wrote literal threads detailing how to how use tags as if no one knows, shaded people who said they didn't care and would use whatever tags they liked. It got to a point I had to ask them to stop, they started saying I was harassing them and accused the fandom of harassing them on anon and ao3. When I said it Doesn't Matter they said it was racist to suggest that, telling me to block if I didn't like their posts. I could not make them understand how fetishistic it was, just because Japanese fans do this doesn't mean it's good or we have to follow? They somehow figured out who I was and blocked me, kicked me out of a server we were in together, so I lost mutuals and some followers too.
Then they started answering my asks unseriously like "I write CD to piss YOU off" "can't project on the twink like yall" and started insulting switch fans calling us hypocrits. There isn't much CD content to begin with how can I share more of those? Whatever is available they make it heteronormative like that. One of them deadass called me an asshole for "harassing" them just because I said it's rude to block people over t/b dynamics when no one is bothering anyone, because these people are always blocking anyone posting DC and making a bubble of CD only fans. This is bound to make them lose track of canon but who cares anymore. They keep complaining about being harassed for liking CD and yes some fans probably send anon hate but that doesn't mean any critic of CD is harassment?
Tell me how I'm the asshole here for suggesting they stop obsessing over t/b this much? How am I the asshole when I'm the one they all blocked and apparently I'm a bad guy because I followed some popular accounts who post DC and said some weird things about D which I didn't even know about.
What are these acronyms?

You are SO brave for throwing yourself on that discourse grenade, and also you are CORRECT and everything you said is in line with my observations as well, and if you don't mind me chiming in with one more thing - something very concerning I find about a lot of that doesn't-know-it's-kink fic is how much of it includes tags or author's notes that are like. "This is PLATONIC it isn't WEIRD AND GROSS don't make it WEIRD AND GROSS." And I truly want to take these folks gently by the hands and assure them that they *are* being a little bit """weird""" and that's okay. like this is an okay thing to be weird about. it's not gross and even if it WAS sexual it wouldn't be gross. truly i am worried about some young person driving themself insane with internalized shame over this. friends it's okay to be a little weird and you're not gross for indulging in some fun little fantasies that make your brain go !!!
The thing is I absolutely understand why some of these authors are adding tags like that, especially if they come from a setting like twitter that is actively telling them that anything kinky means they're basically writing porn, which is basically the same as actual sexual assault, and they should get doxxed about it. That's not an environment that lets you really start to examine the fact that you really want your blorbo to be tied up and helpless, and people are going to frantically police the line between platonic and nsfw and keep themselves on the "right" side of it at any costs.
But, like you said— it's not vanilla. I hesitate to call it "weird" in this particular cause even though I normally happily self-describe as weird, just because this is such a charged topic, but like— sometimes your interest in a topic or trope or setting is not bog-standard! And that's fine! It takes a lot of different folks to make a world! I'm not gonna be listing which of the kinks I just listed are ones that I search up personally in my off time, but some of them on the list are tags I have bookmarked, it's literally fine! Some of these I'd hope that you were over 18 before you started an unfiltered search for them on Ao3, but if you are 19 years old and really into vampires and you want to spend an evening seeing the whole breadth of the tag, or 16 and looking at t-rated fics with every vampire-related tag you can think of, that's part of a very normal grand tradition of goth teenagers. It's FINE to have things that make your brain go !!! a bit.
And so I am posting about this cause I think the twitter atmosphere of shame about this is going to drive people crazy for the really absolutely fine experience of liking borrower aus a little more than is standard. I always end up feeling a little sad when I see author's notes that are like THIS IS ALL PLATONIC DON"T BE GROSS IM NOT GROSS because it means either they've already gotten hate or they're kind of horrified of doing this interest of theirs "wrong", and man, I would hope that when we're bashing the blorbos together like dolls we could have a little more grace for both our neighbours and ourselves if we want to have some extra scenes about tickling.

the anti butchfem Sns discourse happening on twitter rn CRAZY
Hi anon!
omg yeah the girls are losing their goddamn minds over Sakura being headcanoned as straight as if she isn't straight...
When I called Sakura addickted one inosaku shipper replied to me that I hated women and used a collage of filler scenes as "proof" of Sakura and Ino's homoerotic subtext like okay girl, you're stupid.
Idk why they get offended over butchfem sns when they love to claim SS and NH are butchfem to try to make their het slop sound "woke" or whatever

with the new release of the spring quint banner, there is ofc always some discourse happening. and it’s mostly on twitter, but are we surprised.
i’m not super active when it comes to posting on twitter & interacting w people but the amount of seasoned players in the game who pretty much look down on newer players in how events/pulls and wishes work bothered tf out of me.
people were just expressing the craziness once again in how it takes at least 75 pulls for a singular outfit and if you want all five of them, it’s like 275 pulls or so.
and i’ve seen so many seasoned players call out newer players saying the game’s always been like that, or why are we surprised every time a multi banner happens that the outfits start at 75 pulls, basically calling new players complainers and such. and to me that’s just crazy behavior???
even if that’s how it’s always been in the game, doesn’t make it any less insane. like god forbid people don’t wanna spend a lot of money just for outfits. and it doesn’t make it right either? and my god, newer players (including myself) have a right to be a bit overwhelmed.
most people who start out, start as f2p players/low spenders. and over time, it gets progressively harder to obtain diamonds. and i get it, they’re a business first at the end of the day so ofc all they want is profits & money. they wouldn’t be doing this if not for money obviously. but that doesn’t mean its always fair. like yeah that’s how it is, but it shouldn’t be!
i just got a bit upset bc i was like why are people acting like it’s a god damn crime to call out infold’s greed? yeah it’s not new news but why are we being arrogant and rude about it 😭
i’d like to think infold truly tries to listen to players and what we say on our surveys; this has been kind of a prevalent issue and it gets harder w more LI’s and w how many events and reruns they’ve been doing & have planned, you’d think they’d give us some slack/breathing room. i can only imagine how much money they’ve racked up since doing reruns so when it comes to newer events, some thought they’d chill out a bit w the pull rate, and i don’t think that’s an unreasonable expectation?? like it’s never a cause for being an asshole🧍♀️
#again this was all on twitter and twitter is always so messy#twitter fandoms of any sort are actually the worst kind of spaces#and this is why i’m hardly on twitter#tumblr is always nice 💓#love and deepspace
