how much time do you have? and how much do you want to read? bc i deeply hate everything about totk (for many many reasons that cant just be dismissed as just 'not my taste' or similar, i dont hate many things, very few in fact, but this game deeply and personally hurt me and my passion- it essentially killed my hyperfixation in zelda)-

what i like would be much shorter; i like the sound the parasail makes when you use it in the rain, most music, you can have more horses, the underground is .. a neat idea (but badly executed), you can FINALLY touch the dragons (and in exchange they ruined them for me ...) and uhm ... master koga is there :3

(graphics and style is basically botws so that doesnt count though i still love that and .. the designs... mostly)

the short version; the writing sucks, the gameplay sucks, except for koga theres no character that is well written or enjoyable to me, the world design sucks, theres no connective tissue between botw (which isnt flawless by any means but i love it ..... or used to love it ..) and totk beyond it being called a sequel, pretty much every single one of botws flaws was doubled down on and i cannot believe how few people actually seem to realize this?? if you cared about anything botw and like thinking about things totk will stomp you with its hefty price tag bc it makes it clear it does not care and you are stupid for caring about anything, you should stop thinking and jsut take whatever they say no matter how little sense anything makes, every even mildly interesting idea is either never followed up on/expanded or is even actively contradicted in itself (which is soemthign this game is excellent at, constantly contradicting itself in every aspect but like .. like its unaware of it) it tries to do everything and thus commits to nothing, tries to please everyone and thus comes out saying nothing and meaning nothing and doing nothing, it loooooves to copy botw but gives it a different paintjob and makes it worse but presents it as better instead of actually adressing the issues botw had, ganondorf .... oh my dear ganondorf, you deserve to be in a better game *sniffs*, i have never before felt like im being made fun of by the game im playing, but now i have-

(if you dont care about ... text, or stories and just play it after work for mindless fun in short bursts it might not seem bad at all but once you start thinking it quickly and utterly crumbles, you might say i care to much and well, yeah, thats how hyperfixations work and i dont choose what to focus on either lol)

for a long while i used to try and sound the most tame and nice about it all but at some point of constantly being argued with (often aggressively) back when twitter used to be usable i started to not give a fuck anymore so if this may sound harsh, i have long gotten tired of all that so now im trying to literally just speak my mind with very little "what if i sound mean qoq" filter

Umm anyways last night i was thinking really hard about basketball and robot flower's arc (mainly basketball's part in it. Unfortunatley) and basketballs run in tpot (Unfortunatley)

I just thought itd be fun to put here (under cut) and do some more thinking Because .. its a Little incoherent and im kind of Negative (i err cant provide alt text at the moment for the screenshots, will edit later Dont Worry)

although i still Agree with my points i feel a little bad for Not going into the problems with rf's perspective (and how she was Handled as a whole) (which.. i Wont be doing rn 🙁 DEFINITLEY LATER . TRUST ME I HAVE WORDS . just. This is very obviously about that ball)

one (get it) thing i have to bring up is One (get it) - I can see why they used basketball to get that Part across, she was easy to grab. problems with her team, not being listened to, stress over robot flower. Yeah Yeah.

My biggest problem is how it feels like it just. Wasn't elaborated on, most of this has to do with tpot 13-14, where basketball's whole Deal with one is basically.. Over (ESPECIALLY TPOT 14) but even during the time the two were together.. it felt a lot like.. Basketball was just getting exposition dumped? Besides when rf was coming into Play, none of it really.. corresponded to her character. (I mean.. I can understand Why. You gotta get exposition out SOMEHOW.. Lol)

She's considered important for things she Didn't Do, just things she happened to be There to witness.

and, this is something brought up when i was talking on Here, actually!! - It's implied one had seen herself in basketball, I mean. She compares herself to her. Bringing back my Earlier gripes with Bball and One, how most of the exposition dump doesn't seem to have anything to Do with basketball, I wish more of that needed elaboration could've been in tpot 14.

Girl literally had just encountered a Scary Cryptid alien who made her sign a Mysterious Contract, she can at the very least express some concern. It doesn't even have to be scenes of her doing full on explanations.. maybe a retread of tpot 12? She's desperatley Trying to explain to the others about where she was and What happened.. and if they aren't going to do any "big expansive plot moments" with her anymore, maybe.. just Maybe.. make her a little more on edge than just.. Standing there . LOL

Unfortunatley, alot of my suggestions feel like they'd be discredited just because of the fact that . She's already Taken up so much screentime.. (this is where my mind kind of fogs! I need to rewatch tpot Sorry, some things may be Wrong ;_; ) so much of the basketbot arc is built up upon basketball doing.. Nothing. It took until Tpot 10 for her to actually get a Plan. (which.. as much as i like to interpret it as part of her character of being. Really bad at working things on her own, i Don't think was the intention.. Said plan ends up going nowhere anyways) She gets focus on scenes that don't lead up to anything, really. It's a slow burnt plot that just Wasn't working in the show.. and the way it was solved with the contract is Such a dissapointing ending when you take into account that it went Nowhere. (especially on rf's end, outside of the one stuff, Dont Get Me Started)

From my perspective, if you've given a character so much screentime already, you're going to have to deduct some for the sake of the rest of the team.. which is Understandable!!! I get why 100%. I dont want to look at basketball's Ugly Mug any longer then normal. But it leads to having more to be desired when things actually.. Get Going later on.

But, i guess in our Perfect Bball Centric World- If she had survived her elimination (Please No. Im sorry she HAD to go.. its so funny to Make Fun of her, her vote count is humiliating Ok...) it would've been fun to see her work with fanny and ice cube regarding One.. I dunno, whenever i see tennis ball mystery solving i just think My Ball Couldve Been Here.. but i digress . She's Dead

Now that she IS eliminated though, i really Did think her and robot flower would Continue to be important, given they WERE on fanny and ice cube's whiteboard, and their rather unconventional way of getting Eliminated, they could've gone missing... A Number Couldve Been.. AFOOT.. But nope. Next time we see both of them, they're part of the Masses trying to escape 😭 'Course, tpot isnt Done.. so we COULD get more of them (i really think rf couldve been involved ok... again A Talk For Later (eye twitch))-

Maybe they told the others about one? That's why they all want out? I'm trying to not Focus on speculation though, rather then looking back on how she was this season. Eitherway, her relevancy seems Unlikely 😞

Now, looking back at her characterization .. it's definitley. Done. (Im progressivley losing my train of thought SOS I HAVE MORE TO SAY I SWEAR. Times catching up to me, too.. I Got Things 2 Do)

I like the idea of them branching away from her dependancy issues, i like it A Lot. but in execution (though this may be a fault Of the writer change) it tends to fall flat. Tstoe defintley suffered from the writing change, if i remember correctly they got a Little .. Santized? The team felt a lot less Dysfunctional. (WHICH I CAN HANDLE! it just felt a little sudden.. no real Bonding Time, Yaknow..)

Basketball is ABSOLUTELY not a leader type character, I think the idea of her Dilly Dallying away in challenges to focus on what She deems as more important, much to her teammates dismay, is a fun idea.. I wish she had time to be more selfish and get reprimanded for it (She literally didn't do shit about grassy being Burnt Alive 😭 and then.. No one cared?? Not even robot flower.. girl you knew her the longest you Know how much she cared for the little guy)

I wish her relationships with her other teammates on strongest team were given more importance (Outside of rf, LOL) especially her relationship with Grassy 🙁 grassy immediatley moved on from her and it stinks because.. they had such a fun dynamic (hoping for more of them in idfb.. its Interesting how they're established friends in bfb beforehand.. Please 😢)

Another relationship of hers that was slowly forgotten about was with golf ball, it's just as dissapointing. Basketball's dependancy on 8-ball Immediatley shifting to her wanting that with GB despite not liking her beforehand is really funny, her 'switch up' in Tpot im a big fan of because. You kinda see it coming, she really does Not see Gb as someone she'd want to stick with, but her follower mindset directs her to it anyways. But now she's given the chance to prove herself as 'better'? She takes it and just acts like a Prick. (Okay i May be getting a little headcannony here.. a Rewatch is imminent.)

Alas, basketball's reign of terror is Hopefully done. It's sad to see her go, despite her being Kind Of Ass . I do miss her presence.. it's not the same without her aura farming..

honestly ı am glad sarcastic chorus quit cuz his analyze videos about hb was more complaining on how the New ep oh Helluva didnt go into the direction he wanted rather then actually critisizing the show in his latest videos . it was obvious he didnt enjoy watching season 2 .and he does over analyze things a lot..this show is is comedy mixed drama kind of thing well ıts not really comedy anymore but it still has silly moments..funny gags

and yeah ı agree that hb sometimes has a shtty pacing it makes me so frustrated too (especially S2Episode4) ,though ıts an indie animation and sadly they cant just release the whole season in a week or smth like that like how some shows does.

And in prev episodes we had to wait for like 3 months or more until the next One come in SOMETIMES TWO OR MORE MONTHS ONLY FOR A GIF(full moon episode lmao) 😭 so it makes sense Why the writing is flawed in some ways ..cuz they have to keep the tension so the fans wont get bored waiting the next episode for months ( ı know it relases monthly now but it wasnt like this before).

I actually think that Helluvaboss was never really suited taking a whole season slow character arcs and relationships yeah ı also love shows with more then 4 seasons and at least have 30 minutes episodes or more though ıts not really possible to do that with indie animation ..Helluva only has 4 seasons and SO MUCH to tell in its story YES hb again has flawed writing but ı am just tired Twitter talks about it like ıts the WORST writing in a show .

if you looked on old insta posts( where the spindle crew used to roleplay as some hb characters) you would see that stella was always meant to be abusive to him ( where stolas takes a photo with pilot stella and it obvious he is bothered by her holding his hand on the table you can also see he put a sad emoji on the post SO NO viv never changed how STELLA was abusive to him in the show ..her character was always like how it is in hb now .

and yeah ı honestly agree on them not really exploring stella's backstory but like not every bad person in shows needs a sad sob backstory to make them a villian though yeah ıts kinda annoying stella didnt even speak to Octavia or tried to manuplate her into making her hate stolas in the Last episode and well she just laughed with Andy .

though if ı recall correctly we will see her backstory in season3?..ı really dunno ,ı really hope they show more flashbacks of stolas's teen-young adult years and well how STELLA was always abusive towards him before even he "cheated on her")

Also it is shown in S1E1 that she tried to hit him and he blocked her hand this means she did phsically abuse him before cuz she was in shook when stolas blocked her hand ..so NO... she isnt this misunderstood character who is angry at her husband cuz he cheated on her .

The reason Why she was pissed to stolas on him "cheating " on her was because he cheated on her with a low ranked demon .. an imp .

Again ı wish and WANT Helluva Boss to show more abusive side of stella if they ever show flashbacks of her marriage with stolas when they were young adults .

Also ı want hb to show her manuplative relationship with Octavia MORE (well we do know stella doesn't really care about her and uses her as a tool for andrealphus's plans as it was shown in mastermind episode where stella smirks while hugging to her crying daughter..or not Letting her speak to stolas in sinsmas ep and was happy to seperate her from stolas )

but ..ı want to know more of their dynamic ..like Why Does Octavia cares for her if they are not so close. Does she thinks she has to love her because stella is her mom ?

Well in octavia's drawings when she was a kid shows us that she was more close with her dad since she never included drawing stella on them.also having similar hobbies and interests with stolas..( where they both like stars ..plants..well drawing. Singing to cope with their emotions ..)

..but again ı REALLY want to know Why she said.."you don't love mother" to stolas .Does she even know her parents didnt marry with love and it was actually an arranged marriage Does she thinks her dad ruined everyhting when he cheated on her mom ???

AND WELL ı think stolas didnt even cheat on stella , just like he said "cheating implies a betrayal". these two people were forced into marrying eachother for making an heir together. They NEVER loved eachother . so he CANT betray something that was never there in the first place (love) also him sleeping with blitz was the only "selfish" choice he made in his life..

im so tired of there being tension in the story the character feeling lots of emotions thoughts going through their head, action still washing off them and processing it not going that well, maybe getting some bad but intresting asf ideas after a fight with someone you know thought provoking stuff happening then their love intrest appearing and without or barely saying anything all the tension and story build up just poofing out of existance and suddenly there calm and happy

Minus points if said love intrest has no accual character, AND YES "but sometimes she get's a little faisty and tells him when he's being a dummy" is NOT a character trait, and no the story insisting she's accualy smarter/stronger etc is not character trait

A love intrest should make things more intresting, when we see them interact we should be going YEAH and be ready for fun shit like their dynamic being explored, their thoughts and motivations being pointed at even if its not moving story forward a date or romantic moment can be used for things like character exploration, a moment to breather before/after getting getting lots of lore thrown at us as the viewers, overall i think a love intrest should grow with the main character so it feels less like i took pity on thee and am helping thou and more like an accual relationship

Im tired of some love intrests litellary taking away and putting the story on stop mode at that point that's not a love intrest thats ur pacifier And I hate that

and i hate having to say that bc its one of these things i Dont even enjoy hating on im just tired of it seeing in media i like

Big fckn redesigns here. Well mostly Charlie but Vaggie somewhat too 🥰🥰

Blue fits Charlie soooo much and I cease to see that many redesigns with this color. I still want red to be used in most of their designs because well. They are in hell, but not too present so to make way for other unique colors. Charlie has several physical traits from her parents but also she has some details in her clothes that match with them. When I uhh, introduce their designs you'll see lmao. I also tried to make her have a more roundish design, I jst LOVE those typ of designs omg. I just want the characters with not too many sharp corners pls Viv bro... 😔 oh yeah she's mixed cuz her mom's are darker in their redesigns. Alot of their genetics went down to Charlie so she doesn't look like an exact copy of Lucifer, I kind of hate that trend with hh and hb characters, like did the moxxies dad give birth to him bro 😭 also I kept her bow because it looks so cute and silly on her it just fits, I wish they made it bigger in her show design because it would fit her silliness so much. She has a cape with stars because morningSTAR smh why didnt they do something fun with that, missed potential but whatevs yknow I still love og designs no matter what anyone sayss. The wife ever. I had animation in mind more when I designed her, not like in a "How easy or hard would this be to animate" way. But I like to imagine when she's shocked her hair kind of fluffs out plus her actual fluff, when she's mad her bow turns into kind of horns and then her jacket expands like wings. Gave her a more hotel like outfit, she likes to work for fun (ew). Her socks are socks but she has some fluff under them she just tries to cover it up because she hates herself 🤪 (she doesn't hate her bigger body she actually feels much more comfortable chubby than when she was skinny with Adam. She was burdened with the weight of Adam's image of women... In this sorta rewrite she gained weight when she goes to the hotel because she's more happy. I'm dying I love chub Vaggie so much guys please) headcanon: she kind of likes fashion, it's like a fun hobby of hers to stitch together clothing and go out and buy clothes she'll never wear. She taught Charlie how to stitch and she SUCKS so you can jst see it on Charlie's pants.

Second outfits! Charlie's hotel uniform for. Well. Hotel stuff. She usually only wears it when new people come to the hotel, which.... isn't often, if at all. She still likes to keep it just in case. Also she goes really cartoonish when it happens, she does the looney tunes run and changes into her clothes in like 2 seconds. Can you see my vision? 😭😭

Vaggie's is in her armor. She has several pairs of armor lying around in the hotel in completely hidden spots. It's kind of surprising uhh. Yeah she wears it alot more than Charlie wears her alt uniform but still rare to find her in it. I don't get the whole thing with the exterminators and them not being able to fight according to Carmilla. Which is kinda stupid, I'm not gonna lie. So, instead of that, Vaggie has just let her guard down and has gotten much more comfortable in her surroundings so she feels like she doesn't need to fight anymore, she's just gotten rusty 's what I'm sayin. I have no idea how to draw armor. You can tell...

BABY CHARLIE!!! With the heads of my redesigns for Luci, Eve, and Lillith. Haha you still cant see them. Uhh, ill definitely finish the thing one day. Its not even that big of a project thing, i think i jst keep going to other drawings so im like not focusing on one thing lmao. Lucifer has heterochromia because he was cursed to forever be reminded of his betrayal. I only explained that because Charlie has it too, it's kind of a curse on the entire blood line where at least one eye is red. This is like. Slightly older Charlie than the baby Charlie in show? I jst wanted to put her in overalls cuz omg that's jst so cute ughhh 😭😭

What does him having a motorcycle imply???

Ok ok- hear me out. Having a specific vehicle, assumedly a custom vehicle by the way you said it was a really cool motorcycle (Or maybe you didn'tsay it was really cool and I'm just imagining that, but I'm too late to go look back at). The need for a vehicle would suggest a need for physical travel by means other than some form of televitation, which either means that he just has it for shits and giggles. Which OK go off I guess?? or you're multiverse travel system is altered in such a way that would make having a motorcycle practical. Actually where does he live? Does he live in the omega timeline or does he live in the anti void? Or does he have like a secret third location? I think some people make him a nomad which is really cool. I actually personally make him a partial-nomad, but he does have a little stop and rest place going on in outertale, but I'm rambling now and that's not what we're talking about. If he doesn't have a sit down residence then where would he even keep the motorcycle? How would he keep the motorcycle in good condition? Does he know how to do that stuff or does he take it to a mechanic? Is it just a random mechanic or does he have a personal mechanic? If he did live in the omega timeline, are people actively using some sort of transportation... Does the omega timeline have public transport???

when i was writing that specific hc i was mostly thinking about that popular headcanon that underswap sans would like motorcycles the same way undertale papyrus likes sports cars (dunno how he'd have a motorcycle bed but imagine....) and thats all i really had in mind.. but who says i cant make up some more headcanons on the spot..

I think he would get a motorcycle in a kinda fulfilling-old-wishes kinda way-like hes not trapped underground anymore, AND he can go to any au he wants (probably-Based off of abilities error has from being a glitch) so i think he totally would try to do things he couldn't before.

Canonically!! He lives in the omega timeline and is happy making friends there, which i think makes sense for his character. i dont personally see him as the kind of person to never settle, mostly based off some other headcannons of mines surrounding his want for long lasting relationships with people. But i really like the semi-nomad idea! It definitely makes a cool multiverse motorcycle practical as you said.

I also think that if he were to get a motorcycle purely out of wish fulfillment, he'd probably take alot of pride in keeping it in perfect condition :33 I think it could be a fun little hobby of his, learning the basics of being a mechanic (or just finding a real one in the omega timeline)

l actually have NO idea how omega timeline transportation works. Id have to guess theres no vehicles?? It definitely feels like a more foot-trafficy place. Blueberror would probably be the only resident to break this rule, generally causing minor hijinks by riding a motorcycle directly through a public park or something. Others would probably find it annoying, but hes so happy with his stupid bike noone has the heart to tell him off </3

Can you rate all TSAMS Sun ships?

im gonna be careful with this one so im gonna try and avoid the ships that might be/are "incestuous" since i quite enjoy having friends and staying out of drama. once more ill probably forget some character so i apologize </3 (last post i fucking forgot dark sun im so sorry augh). also leaving out poly ships bc, again, this would go on Forever. AND ALSO same as before, the lower the rating the less i ship it and it isnt about me "disliking" it but rather not personally enjoying it

sun/eclipse - 10/10 - there is soooo much flexibility with this ship istg. probably why i always come back to it lol. it can be toxic, abusive, fluffy, enemies to lovers, fix-it, etc. *slaps suneclipse* you can fit so many dynamics in this bad boy

sun/solar - 10/10 - its on equal footing with sun/eclipse especially bc its the first ship i had in this fandom (tho i was very shy </3) cuz its just. ITS SO GOOD! its wonderful hurt/comfort and helping each other heal from the past they had with different versions of the other while also acknowledging that they arent the same and thats what makes them Better

sun/dark sun - 9/10 - do i just like selfcest? yes. yes i do. i think dark sun should let sun go apeshit and they take over the world while holding hands and kissing send post

Classic. It's not one of my favorites but defienetly in the A category. They have a good buildup and great chemistry. I think nobody would argue against that they're probably going to be endgame and I'm fine with that.

jaisy - is this really how you're gonna leave things out of two childhood friends

They're one of my favorites. Daisy's always there for Jake and Jake is always so kind to her. I wish we could have seen Jake being there for Daisy with her problems as well but Sean slid in there(not really complaining but alas). I really hope we see more progress in their relationship in season 2 although I think season 2 will be focusing more on jailey.

I saw an edit of them that was Zander saying how he's "not like Stacy yknow" and Luke was like "Yes, and?" and I think that's beautiful. Their relationship is nicely balanced and healthy. They're widely mischaracterised in the fandom which Zander really isn't that hard to mischaracterise so idek how yall do that...

Don't get me wrong, I like them. I really liked them when they were first introduced and I am really glad they got a bit more fleshed out in the spin off. I really liked Elliot's character. What confuses me is that I'm usually not a huge fan of the nerd x troublemaker trope. But they work because Milly's not an asshole to other people (Except zoey but she highkey deserves it sooo)

I don't. Like this ship. No matter how much I dislike(half true) Drew nobody deserves to get cheated on. Pei Ming - HE IS A GOOD BOY but hes got some things that land him a little lower on this list. hes a whore but hes a good and respectful whore. hes noble, honorable and he's fiercely protective. but he's a tumor for a reason, he has his eyes on climbing the ladder to success and hes gonna do what hes gotta to reach the top. he definitely has lines he wont cross tho.

Wei Wuxian- everyone's favorite boy. my favorite boy. I love him so much, he's been the hero, and the villain. he's been it all and while his heart has always been in the right place, hes lower on the list cuz of this boy and some of the shit he did okay. hes a good boy, got a beautiful hubby, and a fat ass so hes on here.

Xerxes break is actually THE muse, THE character. the baddest bitch out of my whole roster and yes its entirely biased cuz he is my favorite character literally ever. hes on the naughty list, a little lower than wei wuxian cuz he is someone who while he is atoning for his sins, he also knows life is not perfect and will willingly sully his hands into the filth and do the dirty work to protect others from having to do the same at times. he also knows that life is going to happen, and you cant always avoid it and will teach that lesson in harsh ways. he isnt one to sugar coat, he will push you in the pool and expect you to figure out to swim or die.

oh yeah. i was too tired last night but as i was drifting to dreamland i was thinking of the posts floating around re: dol tfs. everybodys basically said most of what could be said about them but as for myself (bc this is my blog and i can yap all i want :^3 )

obvious disclaimer of everyone can interpret the game and the elements inside it however they want to and my thoughts are my own and do not in any way need to influence others. my thoughts arent "The right" ones, we're all valid, etc etc.

in earlier iterations of the game leaving it up to "its all in your head... or is it?" seemed to be very much what they were going for. but earlier iterations of the game also were more down to earth in terms of it being... not supernatural in the slightest..? it was just a fucked up place with normal people and it could lean into psychological horror but there wasn't actual paranormal from what i understand??

now tho, its pretty on the nose that there Are supernatural elements. you can still edit your settings to make this less so, so that creatures like GH are just a bird, or the animals are just animals, you can toggle the tentacles and stuff off so that its not as whacky - but theres still elements of the game that are going to err on the side of "this is probably supernatural". im p sure no matter what settings you choose you'll still meet the wraith. there's not really... a logical explanation for them..? i dont think we can handwave their existence away as a hallucination.

likewise, with tfs there are some very physical elements that i dont think we can handwave away at this point in the current game's iteration as just being hallucinations/a byproduct of trauma. if you have wings you can literally fly. you can go to the roof of the mall and JUMP OFF lol. when we start getting into things like that, i cant really get on the "its all in the pcs head!" train.

as ive interpreted it myself: the paranormal aspects of dol, including tfs, are real - HOWEVER they will be interpreted differently depending on somebody's level of awareness. taking for example the LIs reactions to eris' angel+cat TFs; sydney thinks the ears are fake. kylar and robin seem to think theyre at least somewhat real, or that the pc thinks theyre real. i read this as sydney not having a very high awareness to the paranomal (mostly for his own story reasons!), while kylar and robin may notice those things more, at least to a small degree. kylar and sydney also notice the angel tf to varying effects; kylar can burn himself on it (a physical reaction), whereas sydney will only notice it for a moment before not seeing it anymore and thinking he was just seeing things.

i love the idea of these traits being all in the players mind! and some people feeding into those delusions for whatever reason. i like the psychological horror aspect. but there are too many physical qualities that affect the world and gameplay that i cant really get behind that 100%. i will note that when you have a high awareness, you end up getting the hallucination trauma trait. this could correlate to the tf discussion but again - im hesitant to chalk it all up to "its in your head" bc. again. we can fly off a roof LMAO. we can see better in the dark with the cat tf. we can have fangs that physically cause more pain when fighting people off. and again, theres undeniable physical paranormal happenings around the town. could it be a mass hysteria thing? maybe... theres something very fun about a story that teeters the line of "is this real or is this a figment of a broken mind". a great and popular example would be silent hill! is the torment of SH real? is it the result of mass hallucinations? are the monsters real or have the mcs been hurting (killing) the townsfolk? it's left ambiguous. however - even tho things are left pretty "who knows", theres still a very clear undertone of there is something sinister and occult going on.

the mind fuckery just further pushes the characters doubt and lack of control bc can they even trust themselves anymore? doltown as it is rn reminds me a lot of those kinds of stories, like SH and the town and its psychological horrors playing on the traumas of specific characters and warping their experience to be a personal tailored hell.

tldr; maybe theyre real! maybe they aren't! are we even real???

Are there any stories you read that influenced you to start writing your own?

Are there any characters you find it difficult to write?

I think everyone has their own opinion on what the best story the fandom has produced is. What do you think it is?

Does it feel strange to have come into the horse fic writing game so late? Especially with so many big authors already so popular.

Drawing on that previous question. How have the other writers in the fandom been towards you? Have you found the community welcoming?

1 - Not fanfiction, no, I was more influenced on media as a whole! And originally I started writing fanfic before I started actually reading it.

2 - Not in an actual writing sense, but fluttershy and rainbow dash dont rly mesh with my kind of stories usually. I usually write large stories with emotional resonance and lots of drama and action and romance, and characters like Fluttershy and Rainbow are harder to motivate for narratives like these, considering how chill and laid back they tend to me. I find it easier to push the others into drastic situations. 3 - I can't say yet, i've only read a few, and although I've enjoyed plenty, I've never had one to truly engross me and make me think "oh yeah, this is the peak. It cant get better than this" yet. Maybe its bc I write what I want and dont see as many stories like mine out there? Again, large adventures with lots of personal drama and romance all interconected with the same themes and narratives coupled with incredible payoffs. I've seen good dramas and good action and good romance, but rarely all in the same fic! (I have seen some incredible comedy fics tho.)

4 - Not really! I am really glad bronies arent around anymore, i did not want to deal with them, tbh. I will say though, now that the fandom is more chill and lowkey and mostly inhabited by gay people, there's no chance that I'll ever get one of my fics to have like. big audio dramas and comics made for them, no matter how good they are or appreciated they are.

It is definitely a shame when I see an incredibly popular fic and its like. Trashy, not even that interesting and bland, and I think damn. Were i in the fandom back then, could I dethrone this? The answer is no because I will never be famous lmao.

5 - Any writers I've met have been incredibly kind and supporting and fun! it's been a delight to meen peeps working on similar projects like mine and having the chance to discuss our crazy ideas, hehh. It is definitely a bit sadly a not very broad space, since for the people that are fans of this show, not many write or even read. Then you see people going "I never watched equestria girls bc it was teenage stuff" over you know, the children stuff, and I just scratch my head lmao. The writing part of the fandom is definitely a very small one compared to the rest, but there's good stuff in there.

It is def a bit disheartening at times, writing is smth that you put a LOT of effort to make coherent and fun, and sometimes peeps barely read it. it is what it is! i've got close friends that dont read my writing bc they cant focus enough to read or find time, it happens.

I think this would push jax to try to tone down his antics

Like he wont totally stop, but it will definitely go back to the light hearted fun I like to headcannon it being when he first joined the circus.. before it got all.. meaner..

Boredom does terrible things to someone and given that the consequences of losing your mind in this place are huge.. I can't help but understand jax a little, assuming my headcannon is correct

Listening to it on repeat though… It got me thinking… and appreciating sans’ character…. a LOT MORE??

Like yeah I already did really like/appreciate him, but this song is giving a LOTT more words to those feelings- AND YEAH.

This is gonna be a wonderful spiral of AMV visualizing + Undertale character/theme analysis… SO ENJOY! IF YOU WANT!

We start off strong, in an ending where you’ve gone and killed Papyrus and/or an inexcusable amount of Monsters-

The subject of this song is about Frisk/You as the player. Its even more fun this way cause Sans in game calls you “kid”…

and its even BETTER with this spesific line from the Empress Undyne Ending (w Papyrus dead) in mind AUGH

Sans believes that “the anomaly” is doing all of this for SOME reason, subconsciously or not. Maybe they’re just missing something in their life, and thinking this will all fill their void??

But…In an ending where you’ve killed way too many people/Papyrus, I imagine Sans cant exactly justify whatever reason he believes the anomaly has anymore.

So, the wording “left me on the line with all your baggage” is him basically saying “you took out all your personal problems on people that were not in any way involved, and ruined my entire life. what the hell, man?”

Then the rest of that verse carries that same vibe/meaning.

Oh Golden Boy, You Shined A Light On Your Home. And At Your Best, You Were Magic, I Was Sold.

This part then takes place in the Pacifist route. At your BEST. When Sans has the most hope that the anomaly has found what it’s looking for.

Ofc, Sans doesnt REMEMBER anything you did, but the proof of time jumping seems to leave him with the same impression. (Also he’s pretty confident you’re responsible just cause of your expressions n all that) He even says so himself in the geno route that ORIGINALLY, before the routes you decide to go on/the humans appearance, hes always believed/wanted to believe whatever/whoever was causing this just wanted to be happy.

So in this ending, he’s hopeful that you’ve found whatever you’re looking for! he was sold…

But Don’t Tell ‘Em What You Told Me, Don’t Even Tell ‘Em That You Know Me. Id Rather Hurt Forever.

This line then switches to a potential Roommate Toriel Neutral Ending

“Don’t tell em you told/know me” referring to how he wants to keep what happened with Papyrus secret from Toriel,

“Id rather hurt forever” being an add/on to that: him preferring suffering in silence over Toriel feeling responsible for what happened.

THEN! LAST VERSE! This one is just tying everything up we’ve already discussed in a nice bow, but we still gotta digest it in chunks-

But You Should Know, That I Died Slow. Running Through The Halls Of Your Haunted Home.

BACK TO THE GENO ROUTE! Sans is dying/dead-

“running through halls of your haunted home” is kinda perfect for Chara though since…this home WAS theirs, and it is currently very haunted- with them and Asriel dying there- n all that….

And The Toughest Part Is That We Both Know What Happened To You. Why You’re Out On Your Own.

At this point of Sans laying down in The Judgment Hall, accepting death, he’s also accepting defeat. You both know why you’re doing this. That “Why” being….nothing. There was no reason, you just COULD. Thats why you’re “On your own” (in this game ofc this is not a personal attack-)

AUUGH. The whole gang is celebrating Christmas in the Pacifist Route, but transitioning to a leaderless ending where only Sans remains, on the phone and saying his farewells to the thing that destroyed his world.

aaaand, see thats why i’m antsy about making this…I wanna get it out as a Christmas post ☹️

BUT YEAH! I really like considering this whole thing from Sans’ lense, cause honestly I DON’T believe he’s that nihilistic! Yeahh its a super horrible and soul crushing situation- and it is hard to “give it your all” when you have iron clad evidence that everything you’ve ever done/will do will just repeat and go on and on, not having true consequences, therefore, not matter.

But… if him not giving a shit were the case, why would he do ANYTHING he does??

He still shows up for the people he cares about/care for him, thats the main thing. He does things that matter to HIM, things that make him happy. He enjoys his life to the fullest. If the day is repeating, why not make that day the best day of your life??

And ive already went over how he sees you. I dont think he…likes?? you persay?? at least definitely NOT in endings where you clearly are killing people to see what will happen- but he has FAITH, hope, even. That you’ll do the right thing…..Eventually.

side note: I also know Sans and Papyrus are absolutely contradictions of each other for interesting dynamic/slapstick reasons- but they’re also REALLY SIMILAR??? Flowey is a reflection of the player… and Papyrus has faith in HIM! Idk, i also just think the connections between a lot of characters are really interesting!

the ayame thinking shes gonna get superpowers is even funnier when you consider that like... azami doesnt have any more spare snakes.

so even if, theoretically, she died and went to the daze on august 15th, nothing would happen other than shed be stuck there.

she cant even get a snake the way her parents did. but incredibly funny image of azami finding a mini ayano in there.

this is like. for some reason my brain is telling me the daze wont open anymore but. i do not remember mca so. i dont know anything.

DONT even bother with the child death tw like. i think over half the characters die as very young children

this is actually like. a genuine question i also have. if jin still did kagepro q&a's and i spoke japanese, MY question would be if the rules of the daze are still active post str. would it happen like u say, like the daze swallows the 2 people that die on aug 15 but since there's no more snakes, no one gets an out? or does the absence of the snakes mean the daze won't swallow people anymore at all? who can say... personally, i'd lean to think it's the first one. i dont see why the daze would suddenly change up just cause there's no more snakes. after all, giving the snakes was the "trick" azami found to be able to save at least some people. so running out of them would mean they'd just get swallowed and stay there forever lol.

so yeah if she died she'd be stuck in the daze, i guess. if we go by that headcanon. which is insanely sad bro i post about my fankid and ur killing her off? honestly great work, i bow to u. ayame meeting mr kisaragi and ayaka sounds sweet though LOLLLL

BTW. ayano is excited ayame's into superpowers but not excited about her getting disappointed over not getting any, so she encourages it from a more creative side of imaginative play. while shintaro's like ITS NOT EVEN A SUPERPOWER THEYRE CALLED EYE ABILITIES AND THEYRE NOT FUN🤓 so they probably butt heads here like omfg u hate her childlike whimsy😑 and stop setting her up for disappointment😑

since she thinks shintaro and ayano's eye abilities are lame cause she really doesn't understand them, she's like. i hope i get powers from mom's side of the family cause kido seto and kano have the Best superpowers😏 (bc maybe no one mentioned they're adopted. so even if it was a gene or something it still wouldn't work)
