The woman, engrossed in her phone, barely glanced up. He repeated himself, louder this time.

She finally looked directly at rodney, her eyes shielded by enormous sunglasses. She had a practiced air of bored indifference. "Yeah?"

Rodney gestured towards the scattered trash. "Would you mind picking that up? It's… it's not very pleasant for the beach, you know?"

She sighed dramatically, as if he'd interrupted the most important call of her life. "Look, I'm on vacation. Can't you just, like, chill out?"

"This isn't about chilling out," Rodney replied, his voice rising slightly. "This is about respecting the environment. We all share this space."

Autistic Rufus is obviously an unintentional reading of the character but also fits so perfectly. Guy who knows he doesn’t fit and has never fit in - yet tries desperately for someone to finally understand him and fails kinda miserably, guy who presumes people are always being genuine with him, guy with a one track mind and low empathy, guy who can’t understand people period, guy who lets his frustration and anger either manifest as (what other people view as) a tantrum or moments of brooding during which he refuses to talk, guy who lets at least half of his decisions be made simply because he’s sensory seeking - yet the idea of wearing different clothes upsets him greatly, guy who knows he’ll never be accepted for who he is so all he can think about is running as far away as possible (where he PRESUMES he’ll be accepted and understood), guy who could have everything he wanted - refusing to, because he has to fill the role of someone who is seen as more acceptable in the public eye. Reasons dragonflies are awesome & cool & why you should like them

They look cool. look at all the pretty colors.

They dont sting and rarely bite people (and most cant break skin even when they do)

They eat asshole bugs like horseflies and mosquitos (and they look like badasses while doing it)

theyre amazing at their jobs. experts in their field. they have tons of eyes and super amazing flying skills and can often catch stuff mid air so not only do they protect your garden, they look cool while doing it. (Someone give them a raise)

They have awesome sounding names like what's cooler than being named after dragons. nothing.
