I think it's a bit on Gege for not fleshing Shoko out more and generally slowing down the plot every now and then to give more character interactions, but also M!Shoko almost certainly gets more interest and benefit of the doubt from the audience. Like I think the outsized outrage is really due to the fact that for the first time people who view Shoko as irrelevant HAVE to pay attention to her to get to the stuff they want. It's possible to ignore geto coming to see her, or her walking out, or her getting visibly worked up about his attack, or shoko relapsing hard into smoking once gojo's sealed, or "I was there wasn't I?", or her parts in the S2 OP and ED, or etc etc. The plot is still more or less comprehensible if you ignore Shoko, but does imo create characterization misunderstandings, specifically with the Tokyo 5 and especially Sashisu. If people want to have Gojo and Geto wearing friendship bracelets be canon, Shoko's squished in right there next to them with a matching one. They like Gojo and Geto taking a nap on the floor, there's Shoko. They like Gojo playing the guitar, Shoko again. They want sleepovers in matching t shirts? Shoko's right in the middle and hard to crop. Mappa is forcibly drawing eyes to what was already stated in the manga, that she was there the whole time, that she mattered, and some people just don't like that one bit.

i agree!! i think there are a lot of characters we definitely could've gotten some more information and background on, especially to understand the significance of why they act the way they do . but i do also believe that poor gege was given the short end of the stick bc he truly didn't have the time to slow down his story !! i think that if people just had more patience he might've actually given us more detail instead of rushing to finish the series ... and yeah i see m!shoko getting a lotttt more love which is . very interesting... but you're so right !!! it's easy to brush aside the small things that are unique to shoko's character, especially if you already don't give a shit about her . like you said, you can easily dismiss her walking out, her smoking, her "i was there too" yada yada ... and yes that absolutely does lead to horrible mischaracterizations and shoko is unfortunately one of the biggest victims of it <///3

but yeah !!! exactly what you're saying bc if people want more content they're forced to acknowledge the fact that she was a vital part of that content . i think it's so funny how people want more stsg content but then can't take it when they see there was a third person who was also there :// kudos to mappa for literally highlighting that she isn't just someone people could push aside if they want to take in gojo and geto content . if you want more stuff about them then you do just need to suck it up and take shoko too :333

I need to draw and make designs for the three yunas (manga, anime, light novel) cause i need to doodle her so i can actually draw something good. I’ve never drawn any other design but i was thinking about how her side hair pieces are weird, checked the light novel, and saw that she doesnt have those extra things that frame her face. Honestly, the main reason im having trouble writing these days is because of a huge lack of this; just people interacting with me about things! Espeically my works. I always love to talk to other Sonic fans and hear what people have to say. Interaction is the lifeblood of fando!

Its also what makes me want to make stories; having other people I want to tell those stories to, instead of just keeping them to myself.

(I know that a lot of people are silent fans of things...but its like talking into the void after a while. Its difficult to find a reason to put things out there publicly, if I rarely hear anything back and people dont even talk to me, y'know?)

Messages like yours are really special to me, and I love hearing how my work makes people feel. (And I enjoy people's tears the most, especially when it comes to Rose Drops lol)

how long does it usually take you to draw a piece like, say, I dunno, the doctors post carnivale fanart? And how much time do you spend drawing in general? You said it gave you arthritis- I'm not good at telling tones in text but either way, take care of yourself!

Ah well it's hard to say as I don't keep track of how much a drawing takes me usually, but I'd wager normally a drawing takes me around 1 hour

But The Carnivale Fanart (assuming you mean with all the doctors) is a bad estimation because there's so many characters at once but I'd say somewhere around 5-6 hours give or take, though I kept coming back to it and adding details, like the footprints on Alex's clothes and stuff. It took way longer cause I also took my time and didn't think I'd be posting it or anything.

as for how much draw- well not a lot. I usually am able to draw only during holidays or every other weekend, but when those times come I tend to draw as much as possible.

so-so. I don't want to say too much, because it's established... fairly early on (as in the first Vox P.O.V.) in what I have for the long fic so far, but you are correct in that it's a power move.

It just has less to do with Charlie herself (at first) because even before her failed interview with Katie Killjoy, she's considered something of a... non-issue? Weakling? Not necessarily a laughingstock (that doesn't happen until after the failed interview) but pretty much everyone knows she's a bit of a pushover who spends more time with her head in the clouds than her feet on the ground.

Charlie isn't held in particularly high regard by most sinners, let alone overlords, is what I'm trying to get at. Sure she's probably powerful given who her father is, but she's so adverse to using/demonstrating that power that she might as well be on the same level (or even below) them.

The Vees are not immune to this thinking. Vox just knows something that makes buddying up with the princess worth it, and the other two just kinda go... okay, sure. Might as well. They tend to trust Vox's savvy so long as Alastor isn't involved (which, in this AU, he is not - the Vees got there first).
