One thing I really love is that same school sports teams that would forfeit games because they would be playing against my black siblings are now the same teams forfeiting games because one of my trans siblings are playing on them.
Nothing says "standing up for the Bible" quite like treating other people differently than you'd want them to treat you, boy howdy. Really makes one proud to see the name of Christ printed everywhere but the printers' own fucking hearts.
(you heard me right; has your family disowned you for being trans? fuck 'em, they can burn in hell, they know they deserve to burn in hell for it, the Lord has given them over to their delusions. I consider you as my family; you have a (goofy, non-creepy) uncle now. feel free to drop me a line for irrelevent advice or goofy jokes or heartfelt words of encouragement.
You are valid. You are worthy of love. Even if it's just from some internet rando who never really fit in anywhere he went, you fit in with me. Spite is just as valid a reason to stick around as anything else, we'll hate on the motherfuckers together. I'll bring my SNES. I got Bomberman and Mario Kart)

The chosen, 4x8 Humble ( timestamp: 27:40 )
Jesus: "Rabbi Shmuel, what would you like to see, regardless of who, what is your hope for a Messiah?"
Shmuel: "To usher in a new Davidic Kingdom, that drives out our oppressors, and restores justice and glory for Israel"
Jesus: "Hm. Glory?"
Shmuel: "Yes. On a glorious throne, with prosperity for all. A new Golden Age, with Israel as the Light to the Nations, revealing G-d to the peoples of the world?"
Jesus: "And you? What will you do in that day?"
Shmuel: "Worship? Serve, I hope. How can I possibly know until that day comes?"
Jesus: "I will tell you. When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then, He will sit on His glorious throne. Before Him will be gathered nations, and He will separate people one from another, as a shepard separates the sheep from the goats. He will place the sheep on the right, and the goats on the left.
Then the King will say to those on His right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom that has been prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry, and you gave me food. I was thirsty, and you gave me drink. I was a stranger, and you welcomed me. I was naked, and you clothed me. I was sick, and you visited me. I was in prison, and you came to me.'
Then the righteous will answer him, saying, 'Lord, when did we do these things for you', and the King will answer, 'Truly I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.'
Then he will say also to those on His left, 'Depart from me; for I was hungry, and you gave me no food; I was thirsty, and you gave me no drink; I was a stranger, and you did not welcome me; naked, and you did not clothe me; sick, and in prison, and you did not visit me.'
Then they will answer Him saying, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister to you? Then He will answer them, saying, 'As you did not do it to one of the least of These, you did not do it to me.'"
Shmuel: "This is a hard teaching."
Jesus: "I do not know how to make it less so."

The Heart of the Matter is, Your. Heart. Matters.
What goes into your heart matters. What comes out of it matters, too. For people who didn’t have EKG’s, cardiologists, or heart hospitals, the ancient Hebrew people were pretty wise about matters of the heart. Solomon in particular seemed to have a deep understanding of the way the heart functions, and his Book of Proverbs is full of references to it. With all of our technology, do you think we…

Abortion is Murder & Unbiblical
The Bible does not use the word abortion. How could it? The term itself as a procedure wasn't invented yet! However, the Bible does cover:
Humanity's inherent value and rights as (uniquely among creation) made in the image of God
Murder
Child/infant murder as something abhorrent to God
Life's beginnings, indirectly (although that also has biological support)
Legal ramifications of killing a child in the womb
How God sees and interacts with children in the womb
How we as His followers are meant to treat children
What He expects us to do for the defenseless and vulnerable (i.e., the most defenseless and vulnerable human imaginable is the one in the womb)
And how the question of following Him and His Word is what makes or breaks the difference between a Christian and someone who claims the name but is tragically unsaved Below are some verses and some additional explication (partial credit: @glowsticks-and-jesus)
Proverbs 31:8
Luke 1:44
2nd Kings 17:17
Jeremiah 19:5
Genesis 9:6
Exodus 21:22-25
Matthew 7:20 - 23
John 15:14
1st John 1:5-10, 2:3-6
Exodus 20:13
Mark 10:13-15 Leviticus 20:3-5 (https://biblehub.com/hebrew/mizzaro_2233.htm)
Matthew 18:10, 14
Psalm 22:10
Jacob & Esau, John the Baptist, Samson, etc.
Judges 16:17 Glowsticks-and-Jesus Collection:
"Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying, 'Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, and before you were born, I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.'"Jeremiah 1:4-5
"The Lord called me from the womb, from the body of my mother he named my name."Isaiah 49:1
John the Baptist leaped in Elizabeth’s womb when Mary greeted her cousin (Luke 1:39-45), an example that babies in utero are responsive human beings already aware of the outside world.
The righteous Hebrew midwives at the time of Moses pleased God by saving babies deemed unworthy of life by the authorities of their day (Ex. 1:15-21).
As an additional note -- these references are included above, but worth a second mention -- it's plain that child sacrifice - child murder - is something that God abhors and explicitly does not command. I'd look here (https://biblehub.com/jeremiah/19-5.htm) and here (https://biblehub.com/2_kings/17-17.htm) and check out the cross-references as well. Likewise, there is direct support for laws against murder and the protection of the unborn (up to capital punishment) in the Bible (Genesis 9:6; Exodus 21:22-25 -- an additional reference here included about the common misunderstanding of the latter verses: https://www.str.org/w/what-exodus-21-22-says-about-abortion).
In summary -- it's possible (although, I believe, it does deprive its proponents of a foundational basis for the value of life) to be both secular and anti-abortion. But it is not possible for a Christian who truly understands their faith, their God, and His Word to be pro-abortion.

Most Beloved AEW Wrestler Tournament 2: Week 1 Statistics Dump
Howdy friends, it's Saturday and that means I get to treat you all to an assortment of statistics (before reading further, just remember these stats are in progress. They should not be considered fair to anyone until the tournament is over and all brackets have been tabulated)
Total votes thus far: 70,711 (average of 129.5 votes per matchup)
The Ties
Now I've seen a handful of ties in my tournaments, but those were happening more when there were fewer votes and fewer brackets. I didn't think there would be any here. But there were. Twice.
The Crushing, Crushing Defeats
I am very pleased to say that there were no unanimous victories this week. However, there were two instances of a wrestler only getting a single vote
The Top 20
Above are the stats for the first 7 days of the top 20 frontrunners (I know they're tiny and probably illegible, but I have so many numbers and don't want to deprive anyone of them)
Wins VS Losses
With this tournament formatted how it is, it is only possible for 1 person to have 155 victories and 1 person to have 155 losses. There are currently only 20 names that have a perfect record of wins and 29 names with a perfect record of losses.
The Stock Market
This is where I'll list everyone's rank and pretend it's a little stock market so you see if people are going up or down. In future weeks, I'll add little arrows so it's kind of fun, but since this week is the first, everyone will just have their rank listed

The notification that made me laugh the most this week was this one by @sendhook on Hook vs Orange Cassidy
I promise there will be more stats next week cause I'll have something to compare it to. If anyone wants to see a particular trend or know a stat, let me know in the tags or send an ask. Can't do anymore thinking beyond this cause I've spent 2 hours on it already and I wanna go play Supermarket Simulator

Memorandum from the Department of State to President Harry S. Truman Regarding the Korean Situation
Collection HST-DA: Dean Acheson PapersSeries: Secretary of State Files
DEPARTMENT OF STATE
MEMORANDUM OF CONVERSATION
LIMITED DISTRIBUTION
DATE: JUNE 25, 1950
SUBJECT: Korean Situation
Participants: The President, Secretary Acheson, Secretary Johnson, Secretary Matthews, Secretary Pace, Secretary Finletter, General Bradley, Admiral Sherman, General Vandenberg, General Collins
Copies (from State Dept.): Mr. Webb, Mr. Rusk, Mr. Hickerson, Mr. Jessup
The persons listed above met with the President for dinner at Blair House at 7:45 PM. Before dinner General Bradley read a memorandum prepared by General MacArthur in which he emphasized his views about the importance of denying Formosa to the Communists.
After dinner, the discussion began around the table. The President called on the Secretary of State to open the discussion. MR. ACHESON summarized the various problems which he thought the President should consider. The first point was the question of authorizing General MacArthur to supply Korea with arms and other equipment over and above the supplies of ammunition presently authorized under the MDAP program. He recommended that this be done. He suggested that our air cover should be used to aid in the evacuation of the women and children from Seoul and that our air force should be authorized to knock out northern Korea tanks or airforce interfering with the evacuation. He then mentioned the resolution adopted by the Security Council and suggested that consideration should be given to what

I hold in great contempt every Christian who has ever made me feel small, immoral, or damned for leaving the church, but who then turns around and supports/votes for politicians and policies that deny healthcare, safe housing, and food to the most vulnerable among us.
"Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me." Matthew 25:40-45
I left the church because I grew up reading this and took it seriously.
#I rant about my heavily religious background again#my relationship with the church and God is the most complicated relationship I will ever have.

Ages of Dracula casts
This ask made me wonder how close past Dracula casts were to the ages of the characters as established in the novel. Looking at these adaptations:
Dracula (1931)
Horror of Dracula (1958)
Dracula (1974)
Count Dracula (1977)
Dracula (1979)
Bram Stoker’s Dracula (1992)
Dracula (2020)
In some cases characters are merged or changed; I've associated each character with the person who comes closest to having the same name.
Jonathan Harker (early 20s)
Dracula (1931) - David Manners, 31
Horror of Dracula (1958) - John Van Eyssen, 36
Dracula (1974) - Murray Brown, 37
Count Dracula (1977) - Bosco Hogan, 28
Dracula (1979) - Trevor Eve, 28
Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992) - Keanu Reeves, 28
Dracula (2020) - John Heffernan, 39
On average, Jonathan Harker is cast as 32.
Mina Murray (early 20s)

Dracula (1979) - Kate Nelligan, 29
Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992) - Sadie Frost, 27
Dracula (2020) - Lydia West, 27
On average, Lucy Westenra is cast as 28.
Jack Seward (29)
Dracula (1931) - Herbert Bunston, 57 (aged up to be Mina's dad)
Horror of Dracula (1958) - Charles Lloyd-Pack, 56
Dracula (1974) - none
Count Dracula (1977) - Mark Burns, 41
Dracula (1979) - Donald Pleasence, 60 (Lucy's dad in this one)
Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992) - Richard E Grant, 35
Dracula (2020) - Matthew Beard, 31
On average, Jack Seward is cast as 47, and also assigned Dad.
Quincey Morris (mid to late 20s)
Dracula (1931) - none
Horror of Dracula (1958) - none

Conservatives big mad that I work for a religious nonprofit and yet don’t hate trans people.
Yeah I don’t know what to say besides go read Matthew 25:40-45 again
If there is a hell, and I do not believe there is to be totally clear, there’s a VERY CLEAR reason some people get cast down to it, and it’s not “letting trans girls kick a soccer ball cis girls have also kicked.”
Fuck all the way off.

Why you aren't, but should be shipping Mihawk and Perona together, an essay.
First of all, Perona and Mihawk are adults. When they met, Perona was 23 and Mihawk was 41. Yes, this is an eighteen year age gap, but I want to start with this because it's the primary reason I see for people not liking the ship. After two-three years living under the same roof, by the time Perona leaves to go find Moria she is 25-26 and he is 43-44 (depending on how long you believe is sailing time between arcs and when their birthdays may fall between the time Zoro was dropped off at Sabaody and the summit at Mariejois took place.
Let's pretend for a moment Mihawk really is a vampire. This means one of two things, either he died at 41 and is actually centuries old, or he became a vampire sometime in his 20s and is legit 44-45 years old. Either way, Mihawk comes off as extremely old fashioned in the way he talks, the way he dresses. I would say he, like Perona, is a gothic romantic. Romantics tend to put their other passions first in favor of actual romance, keeping this in mind this would indicate that like many handsome dark brooding autistic men before him (the good ol' Darcy type) he has put romance on the wayside because he wants a love that is real. This is not an uncommon romantic trope amongst gothic romantic and vampire lovers and generally stories with immortals.
Often in fiction and romance novels the centuries old immortal is paired with a mortal (usually completely human) woman between 18-35. This type of romantic man has waited centuries for the right person they could form a lasting bond with and has not had much experience with actual love, if at all. For a few examples: ACATOR series Feyre and Rhys got together when Feyre was 20, and before that she was even younger with her first faerie boyfriend. In All Souls Trilogy Diana is suggested to be in her late 20s/early 30s and Matthew is pretty much old as dirt. In the Twilight Series Bella was 17 when she met Edward, who was 104. These are a trope for a reason, and when done right it’s a pretty good trope.
I'm going to include an incredibly unpopular opinion here, but "Goth Fam" is weird and here's why. While amusing in theory, portraying two grown adults and another grown adult as children and one adult is incredibly infantilizing. I won't disagree Zoro and Perona have a very close relationship where Perona especially is seen taking care of and is incredibly protective of him, I don't see where this necessarily makes them sibling coded (the same way I don't think Nami and Zoro are sibling coded). I won't get into that in more detail here about my thoughts on Zoro and Perona, but here's my hot take.
Both Zoro and Perona are incredibly autistic coded, which makes drawing them drawn as children with Mihawk incredibly cringe. Mihawk did not know Zoro and Perona as anything but adults and does not get a right to claim either of them as his children unless they offer that up first. We never see either one of them directly call Mihawk a father figure.
A 5’3, petite queen, the way Perona dresses and wears her hair is a fashion statement. I don't think she would like being portrayed as an actual child. Post-time skip she even has a tattoo on her arm the same place Nami’s tattoo is placed on her left arm, permanently branding herself and displaying her loyalty as a Thriller Bark Pirate. Perona does not need another father figure, she has not only Moria, but multiple other male figures in her life from her crew more rightful to the claim of being a parental figure than Mihawk does.
I think some people take the title ghost princess too seriously. Do not get it wrong, Perona is Moria's Ghost Princess and has been a pirate since she was presumably a child. Of course her epitaph is ghost princess. But if you see the way she is treated by Moria, he lets her run the place. There's signs of her everywhere, she shows up to his meeting like lol boring you woke me up for this? He lets her have a pick of whatever servant she wants and I'm pretty sure she has Thriller Bark’s master bedroom. She's like Regina George meets Usagi meets a pastel goth pirate.
This also brings me to Mihawk calling Perona "musume". I think Mihawk calling her "gosuto musume", just like her epitaph, is taken too literally. In the modern context, this might mean daughter, but we've already established nothing about Mihawk is modern. One Piece itself is supposed to be 1500s if we're going to get super technical.
Not only is Mihawk incredibly proper, but he's also a piece of shit. This is the same guy that called Zoro a little green froggy when they first met just to get a rise out of him. We only see him calling her this once, and this was presumably days after they met (a week or two tops). Immediately after she's called this, Perona yells at Mihawk not to give her orders. Contextually, this could be taken that he's giving her a backhanded compliment for appearing youthful, a lot like calling someone "auntie" might be taken as offense to the wrong person, which would indicate he's trying to get a rise out of her and it worked
When they first meet, it does not go too well. Perona was already incredibly lonely to begin with before Zoro was dropped onto the island, she had taken care of his wounds for days on end and spent at least a week playing hide the swords so she had someone to keep her company. Meanwhile Mihawk is mildly irritated his quiet castle has uninvited guests and Perona's demands of him, his blasé attitude towards Zoro going out and trying to get himself killed has Perona deciding that he's heartless and she doesn't want to be alone with him.
Somewhere within two years, this changed. Not only does Perona go back to the island after seeing to it that Zoro didn't get lost trying to find his own damn ship, but when it's time to go we get a glimpse of what kind of life they've lived without Zoro around. If she couldn't stand him, that would have been the perfect time to go.
Instead, we see that they have high respect for one another enough to take care of each other. To me, this bickering between them about what they did together isn't a conversation between a father and a daughter, it's a lover's quarrel.
This is your typical “old married couple” banter. She’s saying "you never liked my father and you're ungrateful" and he's saying back that she's the ungrateful one because he's done more than enough for her in return to prove he does care.
I think Perona is trying to start a fight here, to protect her own heart so that she can leave on hostile terms and this bastard reels her right back in with just a few words.
When Mihawk says this, there's a pause in the music from the silly arguing background, to this soft romantic beat, much like one might see in a romantic anime or drama when the couple are having a moment of intense feelings for one another.
Mihawk actually doesn't say much at all, but Perona knows his meaning immediately that if he didn't care for her in any way, he wouldn't have said anything at all.
Perona's personal style has changed a lot in the last two years. She no longer wears her hair in pigtails and appears in a younger style. If anything, it looks like her personal style is heavily influenced by Mihawk's in romantic black, whites and reds. She hung up her crown (presumably because she was under the impression Miria was very likely dead and he was the reason she was a proper princess). Her hat in particular is very much the female version of his, featuring white roses instead of a big fluffy feather. Red lining and all.
Hats in One Piece are so important, and I personally love the idea of him gifting her a hat to make her feel better about hanging up her crown (or because she was stealing his- one of my favorite headcanons).

Tuesday of Passion Week: Confrontation, Crowds, & Conflict
Tuesday of Passion Week was a busy day of teaching and confrontation. (Matthew 21:23 through 22:14; 41-46; John 12:2-8). The Passover created a huge festival-like atmosphere in Jerusalem, during which pilgrims flocked into the Holy City from all over the country. Everyone who was anyone would have traveled to Jerusalem to celebrate. A National Audience During Passover week, the population of…

Matthew 25:44-45
44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’
45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

So I spent like 2 hours on this
Anyways, let me explain:
Methodology: to make this map I watched an unedited playthrough of the game and marked down how long it took to get from one scripted event to the next. I then inserted in the known times/save points the game gives you at certain intervals. I then calculated at what time each event would take place given how long the game takes to actually play, and then put those numbers to correspond with the actual in- game clock. All times marked with a ~ are approximate.
What I found:
The game is actually pretty much in real time, with some exceptions. There are some timeskips. If you’re playing a speedrun, you’re gonna come in at like 3:30, and the game ends roughly at 4 am ish. This means that if you do everything super fast and don’t waste any time, the game timeskips about half an hour here and there. I tried to account for these timeskips where they occur in my map like adding two minutes when Roddy’s song is skipped. Some sections also take a bit longer than the in-game time. For example, the time from Maurice to Virginia to Eugene to Murphy is much longer irl than it is in-universe, meaning no matter who is doing what kill, they are BOOKING IT from victim to victim.
Who did what: so my choices of who did what kill rely on two things: one, proximity to the confirmed kills/scripted events, and two, my own personal headcanons for who did which. I will now put the game’s timeline in order as well as who did what. Please keep in mind anything happening within KFAM like ponty’s calls or the little Peggy q and an after Maurice or Forrest being the rizz king to Sandra are not included.
~11:40 pm: sheriff Matthews is killed (Marie) (I didn’t put an actual time on the map for this because i don’t know if it’s right or not but in my HEAD, Marie started her attack at George’s TOD)
~11:55 pm: whatever the opening cutscene is (Henry)
~12:04 am: Leslie is attacked (Marie)
-Marie recovers from being shot at by the Sherriff and tased by leslie
~12:25 am: Sandra is attacked (Marie) (Sandra’s excact location is unknown but I put her by what is presumably a parking lot by the football field near the river running route.) (Sandra is not seen getting into her car because Marie takes a longer time to actually get into the parking lot due to being injured)
~12:25 am: Henry slashes the fire engine tires and makes his way up to Maurice.
~12:47 am: Maurice reports a break in (Henry)
-Henry is locked in the archive for like 10 minutes
-Marie drops off the tape on her way to get Henry
-when she breaks him out, they hear Murphy acting a fool, but Marie tells henry to stick to his current target before going up to the maze.
~1:20 am: Marie calls Virginia because she has the phone and sends Henry on his way (Virginia’s location is also unknown so I just guessed)
~1:35 am: Henry goes to attack Virginia but is scared off by the frat. Immediately books it to Murphy.
~1:40 am: Eugene is attacked (Marie)
-marie, on her way to the graveyard, sees the teens going to the murder house and watches
~1:53 am: Murphy is attacked (Henry)
-Marie sees the prank unfolding and slips into the group
~2:15 am: the teens are attacked (Marie)
-Marie spends a few minutes at the graveyard visiting George and recovering from getting a bookshelf tipped over on top of her
~2:32 am: Forrest spots the whistling man outside KFAM when going to retrieve LRH (Henry)
~2:43 am: Marie and Henry meet outside the gas station to regroup (optional? Idk)
~2:45 am: the bomb is detonated (Marie)
-Henry goes back to KFAM to hang out outside as the last victims are personal to his mother.
~3:10 am: Ricky is attacked (Marie)
~3:18 am: Jason is stabbed in the woods (Marie)
~3:25 am: Casey calls KFAM now inside her house
-Marie kidnaps Teddy on her way to the school gym
~3:45 am: Henry enters KFAM and locks Forrest in the producer booth
~3:46 am: Interview with Teddy begins (Marie)
~3:58 am: Peggy confronts Marie
Thoughts? Do you agree or disagree? What would you change? Do you think this was a complete waste of my Sunday evening? I’d love to hear your thoughts!!
*edited to add: I changed Virginias location to make at least a little more sense lol
