A shaky video goes up on Tiktok that levels out on Steve, head in hand. There’s a lot of voices before one rings out loudest and quiets the rest. The camera pushes forward, “Mr. Harrington, can you play it again.”

“One more time,” He sighs. “Then no more. We’ve got fractions to do.”

There’s a lot of agreeing and people get closer to hear as Steve presses to play the voice note he received ten minutes before.

You hear Eddie’s voice a bit too close to the phone, a bit out of breath: Hey, hypothetical, say you’re married and you told your husband to stop taking the cat outside because she kept killing bugs and bringing them inside, and um…um. He didn’t listen. How mad are you?

Steve presses another note and Eddie’s voice is more frantic and louder: I didn’t lose her! That message made it sound like I lost her. I didn’t! She , uh. She brought something into the house. Not dead! Improvement! But, it. It is a, uh. It’s a pigeon. Inside the house.

Another note, and Eddie’s like: I need you to calm your type-a brain down, okay? I’m handling it. I- why are you running??! This is your friend! You brought him here, Joan! Joan, you’re an apex predator, apex this bi-

Somehow it's always Alistair who ends up dealing with the nociosphere. He must just linger near it whenever we need to send it out somewhere so he gets roped into it.

Unfortunately, our colony does happen to have a sanguophage hanging around at the moment. I wonder how Jut is coping?

Ah, well. Those refugees won't mind if Jut bloodfeeds on them a little bit. It's the least they can do after invading our space and then complaining nonstop about everything. Don't worry, Chomper—the pigskin refugee that Jut targeted—is fine, just (understandably) grumpier than he was before.

Now Jut can snuggle up in bed and get some well-earned deathrest! I'm sure we won't need him for anything anytime soon.

Well, a combination of mortar fire and the nociosphere seems to have been enough to take the Apocriton down (yay!), but the nociosphere now only has a few stray emus between it and our colony...

Just in time! Those emus held it off for the last few precious seconds. Good job, emus!

Well, I'm glad we got the nociosphere out of the way. Now we have an empty holding platform! Tune in next time to find out what will occupy it...

Hey I feel weird coming in the tag to ask this but I can’t tell if I’ve been ghosted…

Has anyone who commissioned Johannah the Mad in December 2023 gotten their comm from her? And furthermore, has anyone commissioned since then and received their art?

I know she’s incredibly busy and a hurricane hit close to her over the summer, and I consider myself a really chill and patient person when commissioning artists, but at this point I don’t know if she’s not getting my messages, too busy for everyone, or intentionally ignoring me. I’d like to know if other people are having the same experience so I can figure out if it’s a me thing or not

I feel like Chat would be the type to say some pretty wild stuff when startled. Depending on the situation, I bet they'd either A) yell out the first random message that comes to their hivemind brain, B) yell out all of the messages at once in a horrible, indecipherable stream of gibberish, or C) mash together parts of a bunch of different messages to form a completely new sentence that no one actually said in the first place. I'm sure option C usually just results in absolute nonsense, but on the rare occasions that it doesn't, I bet it's REALLY funny, which is what made me draw this comic, lmao. Poor Magical John probably scares them most often, and has to deal with this regularly without any context.

After defeating the lone scyther (Lansa did the heavy lifting), our group decided to defeat the other mechanoids in the complex before cracking open the mechanitor's cryptosleep casket.

Lansa is lucky that Tokori specialises in medicine.

Either that uranium mace is more op than I gave it credit for, or Jut's level 20 melee skill isn't actually that impressive, seeing as Randy Random seems to enjoy letting my colonists beat scary enemies super fast.

We're not here to pay respects, Tokori. We're here grave robbing, so get to it.

I swear that name was randomly generated. I laughed too hard to reroll, so newly-made Mechanitor Tokori now has a robot named Dr Eggman, I guess.

In the meantime, here's a look at what the others have been up to before we wrap up:

I bet Ivy thinks she's hilarious whenever she says "excuse my French" after cussing something out with everything Jut taught her to say. She does have the comedian trait, though, and everyone knows dad jokes are the best kind.

XiaoLiang might not be going with Mechi and Kwahu for the next leg of their journey, but that's alright. He still has Tokori and Lansa to crush on, and he's already testing the waters to see if they'd be open to dinner dates (they are not open to dinner dates).

Ah, facial hair. That reminds me...

I promised my brother I'd draw his favourite colonist looking majestic before the end of Season 1. So, here you go, brother mine. Maybe one day you'll see Flapjack and his beautiful beard again. We can only hope.
