metafrank flirting but its actually just him getting in real close and giving her a pretty straight-forward compliment and her staring at him blankly
i was thinking. meta can use a gun and shes ok with rifles (not so much pistols) but real rifles are pretty heavy and she struggles keeping them steady so in an attempt to hit on her he offers to help her hold it (to take off some of the weight). theyre real close like that and i mean thats the point hes very much doing that on purpose and he tells her shes a pretty good shot yk right into the ear and she just. stares at him. goes back to shooting. two people who are bad at social interactions in slightly different ways

meta dies after taking a bullet meant for frank (as most of his women do, in some sense) and while frank returns most of her ashes to her family, he keeps just a little bit of them with him. not because of attachement or love or whatever but because all that time meta just wanted to be near him, be with him. well shes got her wish now
