No Rules Is Cool
With Michaelangelo x Charlie
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He would not stop jumping about the jet in his excitement constantly asking Charlie where she's taking them on their date. She too was excited. She gave him but one hint: It's a place so crazy, they wouldn't care that he was a walking talking turtle! The hint itself made him wanna know even more. It was a fun trip as they ate, goofed off, kissed and made out, briefly joining the Mile High Club.
The jet started to lower itself to their destination. The doors open, Charlie looks around and screams.
"We're here, Mikey Poo. Come on out." She waved her hand. He exited the jet, looking around to see what appeared to be an amusement park for long forgotten or struggling artists. He was stunned beyond his wildest dreams.
"What is this place? It's like a work of art only more creative. Like the lair back home but on the surface. More sandy." He says, excited to explore this new world.
"We're in Slab City, California. The place with no laws and you can do whatever you please. This place is completely off the grid." She started to run away coaxing him to join her. He checked to make sure he had his skateboard and ran after her. They explored the art area where people would add their own art to the area. Playing hide n seek around the trailers and lounging areas. Having laughs and making memories. What made Mikey feel comfortable was the locals. They were so welcoming and accepting of him, that they invited him and Charlie to join them for Open Mic Night. They wholeheartedly agreed.
"This is so awesome. I could come here on vacation. Maybe the guys would like it!" He cheers. Charlie couldn't help but think of all his brothers who would hate this place the most would be Donnie. Given there is not many forms of technology in Slab City. In fact, there's none! Then again, it's Donnie. He'd find a way.
"Aw what! They have a library!? We've got to check this out!" She pulls his arms towards the library.
Mikey and Charlie were having a field day enjoying the outdated magazines and comics. The movie selection had them hooked as they collected some to watch on their projector in the outdoor lounging area after Open Mic Night.
They explored, they kissed, Mikey entertaining the locals using his skateboard. Charlie felt good about her choice to bring him here. It's one of the things he wanted most in this world: Acceptance. She felt a tear in her eyes as he giggled with the local kids, giving them high fives. He looked up and seen her crying.
"Oh Vixy. What's wrong?" He asked, wiping her tears away.
"Nothing, Mikey. These are happy tears. Just seeing you be yourself without people misjudging you, makes me happy!" She hops into his arms, the kids snicker as the 2 hugged.
They continued to get into mischief, finding a lot of miscellaneous items, creepy things, leaving their mark as they went along. Whether it be Charlie leaving strands of her Fox tail in a few areas or Mikey writing his name on something. They had a ball.
The picked a spot in the lounging area to rest when a middle aged woman approached them.
"If you wish to bathe, we got a hot springs over yonder. Please help yourselves." She kindly said, patting Mikey on his head before leaving. Charlie and Mikey shared a look. In instant, they bolted off to the hot springs to wash up before Open Mic Night.
It wasn't an oasis, but it was clean enough to bathe in. They frolick and played in the water, splashing and scrubbing. Then Mikey farted!
"Good thing the guys and my sisters ain't here! Imagine their faces with this water and what you just did!" She exclaimed, laughing up a hurricane at Mikey's comedy choices.
"Whoops! Hot Springs just got hotter! Hehehe!" Mikey chuckled. Charlie quirked a brow, crossed her arms and let it rip as well. They both laughed at their disgustingness. Time going by in a flash, then it was time for event.
youtube
Everyone was gathered in a lit seating area with a small stage. The locals kids took to Charlie and Mikey well, asking questions and playing little games. As the event started, many people went up and shared stories, sang songs, played instruments, and read poetry. The best part about the trip was have interactive everyone was and with everything. Mikey was having the time of his life. He looked over at Charlie playing with the children, he felt something come to mind.
He volunteered to go up to the mic. Charlie was curious to see what Mikey was up to. She is the one that planned the trip for their date.
He looked at the crowd and began speaking.
"I have a lot of words to describe my day. Filled with fun, laughs, adventure. I never had this type of experience before. To be here is like a dream." He spoke, the crowd nodding and smiling. Charlie at the brink of tears. "All this because of that beautiful woman right there." He points to Charlie, making her blush. "You accepted me more than I'm used to. I'll always love and cherish you. In fact, if I could, I would marry you! Right Here! Right Now! I Love You, Charlie. Thank you for bringing me here on this adventure and meeting these wonderful people!"
The crowd cheered for his dialog. Clapping and screaming. The kids were getting ideas as were the crowd. The kids ran off into the little city to retrieve some things. Charlie and Mikey were confused.
When they returned, the townfolk had Mikey turn around while they prepped Charlie. The little girls gave Charlie a dingy white skirt, a fake bouquet of flowers, with a vale. They gave Mikey a bow tie and a crooked black top hat. They were in shock to what was happening. They didn't even care where the items were from, their date just got better with this.
Mikey turned to see the girls sprinkling fake rose pedals on the ground. Right behind them, Charlie being walked down the aisle with an older gentlemen by her side. No matter what she wore, she looked beautiful to him. He fought back tears as she made her way to him.
A casually dressed man came up and smiled at them. Placing a hand on Mikey's shoulder.
"I do not know you, but I can tell this will last forever!" He declares. The 'wedding' began. Charlie asking a kind woman to record it.
"Do you Michaelangelo take this woman as your wife? To have and to hold til death?"
"Yes. Yes, I do!" He quips.
"Do you Charlie take this turtle man as your husband? To have and to hold til death?"
"I do! I Do! I Do!" She says, tearing up.
"I see you have a ring for her. Place the ring on her finger."
Mikey did just that. Tears escaping his eyes, soaking his bandana. This moment he never even dreamed of because of what he is. To have it happen felt like a fantasy to him. He wished so badly for his brothers and her sisters to be here.
"I now pronounce you husband and wife! You May Kiss the Bride!" He says, nodding.
They share a very slow kiss. No tongue because of the kids. The crowds clapped for joy, throwing rice at them. Charlie tossed her bouquet to one of the little girls in the crowd. Mikey was so ecstatic he picked Charlie up bridal style and kissed her again. The lady who recorded the scene on Charlie's phone did a splendid job capturing the moment.
The night felt like magic to them.
Open Mic was over and everyone went to bed, but the newlyweds. They stayed up and watched the movies they chose.
They cuddled on the couch, watching the movie from the projector, going over the day's events.
Mikey couldn't stop kissing her forehead. "Vixy."
She looked at him, eyes read from her happy tears,"Yes, Mikey."
He kissed her hand,"This was the best date ever. Thank You for everything."
"You deserve this and so much more, Mikey. You're a phenomenal ninja. I'll always love you, Michaelangelo." She says this as she stroke her palm along his cheek. She didn't even care to mention that the entire trip costed practically nothing.
The heart-shaped mark on his abdomen throbbed as did his actually heart with her words. He sat her on his lap, snaked his hands behind her head and kissed her fervently. Lips smacking, sweet caresses, they whimpered as the moment got intense. When they separated, they giggled and continued the movie.
As much as they wanted to stay, they had to leave after the movie. The local kids were sad giving hugs, asking crazy questions, wondering if they'll return. Mikey and Charlie gave a nod that they will come to visit again.
They loaded up on the jet, waving their goodbyes and took off back to New York.
They snuggled up together, nuzzling each other's noses. Charlie snaked her tail out, puffed it out, and covered the both of them. Charlie wanted to send the video to her sisters and his brothers, but decided to wait. They felt bad with them not being there, even though it was a mock wedding. They knew from looking into each other's eyes that their actual wedding will be beautiful.
They share one last kiss before dozing off.
Mikey neglected to mention he sent the video to Raph. Raph showed his brothers and her sisters, they were shocked. Kenzi and Dinah looked at each other, Alopex pinched her forehead, knowing what's about to come.
"THEY GOT MARRIED AND DIDN'T INVITE US!!!!" They say in unison, holding each other crying salty tears.
The guys just shook their heads and thought of their own weddings someday. Needless to say, the Wild Card and the Triple Threat have started something.

To some, The Orginal Beef of Chicagoland was a run-down dingey sandwich shop that may or may not have sold coke out of the kitchen when COVID wrecked the city. To Richie, it was his home. He and Mikey had been friends for almost four decades, and The Beef was their baby. When it came to The Beef, there was a layer of sentiment to every part of it. Even with its quirks, it was part of Richie, and after Mikey was gone- it felt like the only connection he still had to him. Of course, that mother fucker left his legacy to shithead little brother. Richie loved Carmy; he’d known the kid since he was in diapers- and now he was trying to change the sandwich shop into some bougie millennial hot spot. Richie tried playing nice; he tried explaining to Carmy that The Beef was fine before he took over, but Carmy convinced himself and the rest of the staff that they could become something bigger, that greatness was within reach, and everyone was running with it.
“He needs to get laid…” Richie muttered under his breath as he brought bags of flour to the dry storage shelving by Marcus’s station. Marcus chuckled as he’d overheard the comment. Richie wiped his hands on the apron tightly tied around his waist, “What’s he even tryin’ do… Mike and I ran a tight ship.”
Marcus shrugged, “I like Carmy… He’s challenging me- I loved Mikey… he was a good guy, but what Carmy wants to do is in honor, ya know?”
Richie shook his head, “He’s fuckin’ with my system.” Marcus waved him off and returned to the notebooks and cookbooks sprawled across the stainless steel counter by his mixer. Richie scowled as he walked to the dining room, muttering complaints about Carmy to himself. “Yo, everyone! Meeting in the dining room!” Carmy’s voice echoed through the kitchen as Richie stood by the host stand, scrolling through his Tinder messages. Richie slipped his phone back into his back pocket as the kitchen doors swung open before leaning against the wall, watching as people entered the room.
“Okay- thank you, everyone for being flexible and understanding. Carmy and I both understand that changing an operating system can feel overwhelming, but y’all are doin’ great.. Carmy.” Syd monologued before turning the figurative mic over to Carmy. Richie turned his attention to him but quickly went to the front door of The Bear, where a mystery woman entered the dining room. Before Richie could say anything about them being closed, Carmy piped up.
“You’re early…” he grinned. The woman shrugged and put a small suitcase on the floor before approaching Carmy and Syd. Richie chuckled when he saw Carmy causally give her a side hug, his hand lingering on her hip slightly longer than it should, “This is Y/N. She’s one of my friends from New York… here to help out Marcus.” Carmy pointed Marcus out to her.
“Fresh meat…” you commented as your eyes ran up and down Marcus, “You’ll be a baker by the end of the month.”
Richie stood back and listened to you explain your background before the meeting ended. He noticed how Angel was looking at you and how Carmy was glaring a hole in the side of his head. He looked between you and Carmy; there was no way Carmy could get a girl like you. He chuckled to himself and waited for the meeting to end before going to the alley to have a smoke before dinner service.
~
As the weeks passed, Richie noticed little things about you and Carmy. Nothing was explicitly sexual or romantic, but he’d known Carmy the kid’s entire life, and he knew how Carmy behaved when he was around a girl he had a crush on. He saw it when Carmy was in middle school when he always brought extra peanut butter pretzels for one of the girls in his English class. Then again, in high school, when he’d become even quieter when Claire and her friends were hanging out next door. Carmy wasn’t a kid anymore, but Richie noticed the little things he was doing for you, the subtle touches, making sure your water bottle was never empty, the way he’d watch over the baking lessons you’d give Marcus when he had downtime, but the moment that solidified Richie’s suspicion was the day Angel finally made his move.
Richie returned to the kitchen after taking a phone call in the alley. Neither you nor Angel noticed his presence as he stood behind one of the storage racks. Angel was initially subtle, asking if you were into some punk band Richie had never heard of. When you said you’d seen them live before, Richie noticed Angel’s face light up. Then he offered you an ‘extra’ ticket he had to their upcoming show; he noticed the shallow swallow you took before awkwardly telling him you ‘were seein’ someone’. Angel’s face fell, but he nodded and playfully punched your arm before walking away. You laughed and walked into the office, leaving Richie to theorize. He wasn’t sure how long he’d been standing there when Syd joined him, startled by Richie’s prowling. “God- you scared me… why are you standing behind the shelves?” she asked as she reached for a large stock pot.
Richie shrugged, “You know if Carmy’s ‘friend’ from New York is seein’ anyone?”
Syd thought for a second, “Uh, I think… she’s stayin’ with Carmy, so if she is seeing anyone, it’s not serious.”
“Wait, she’s staying with Carmy… in his studio apartment?”
Syd nodded, not realizing what Richie was implying by his questioning. Richie rolled his eyes, “I fuckin’ knew it…”
Richie’s suspicions only grew stronger as the week continued. It’s not every day Carmy comes into work with an extra pep in his step and a faint hickey by the collar of his t-shirt. That afternoon, he finally decided to ask Carmy about your relationship. After finishing his necessary prep work, he hung out in the kitchen and waited for Carmy to head to the alley to smoke.
“Yo.” Carmy greeted when he noticed Richie join him, leaning against the wall. Richie nodded and pulled a cigarette from the beat-up box in his pocket.
“So… that girl…” Richie started. Carmy looked at Richie with an eyebrow raised as Richie continued. “You tappin’ that?”
Carmy scoffed before ashing out his cigarette, “Fuck off Richie.” Richie grimaced and watched Carmy walk back into the restaurant.
“He’s tappin’ that…” Richie scoffed as he turned his attention to his phone.
~
“Shit..” Richie grumbled as he stood at the register of the corner store by his apartment building, “Yall do ApplePay?” the cashier looked at him with a bored, disheveled look before snarkily commenting about how they didn’t accept bills over $20. Richie shook his head and left the pack of cigarettes and six-pack he’d been trying to buy on the counter before heading back to his car to look for his wallet. Richie realized his wallet wasn't there as he dug through his glove box and center console. “Shit…” he swore when he concluded he must have left it at work.
Richie moved to unlock the door to The Bear’s back kitchen door when he realized it was unlocked. “Shit…” he mumbled, assuming someone had broken in; he’d left his phone in the car and figured he’d just deal with all the drama tomorrow morning.
He expected to see pots and pans all over the counter and a broken safe in the office, but when Richie walked into the kitchen, his eyes went wide, and his jaw dropped. You were sat atop the middle station with your top pulled down, exposing a bright red bra. Carmy stood between your legs with his pants undone, one of your hands hidden beneath his boxers. Richie tried to speak, but the sound of Carmy’s throaty moans made his ability to speak vanish. Your head fell back as you loudly moaned, “Louder baby… let everyone know who you belong to…” as the words left Carmy’s mouth, Richie felt his body retch.
“You aren’t alone!” Richie yelled. You yelped in surprise and pushed Carmy away from you before yanking your top up. Richie closed his eyes and let his head fall to the floor. He heard Carmy clear his throat and the sound of a zipper pulling up. The three of you existed in an awkward silence for what felt like hours before Richie broke the silence, “So… you are tappin’ that…”
“Shut the fuck up, Richard.”

The way I screamed when I saw you write something for kess, ugh I love you for that. Can I request one for kess where reader surprises him at a game after saying she couldn't make it (like they've been apart for a bit) and he gets all excited during the game🩷
michael sulks through the phone, bottom lip pouty and his voice sad. he frowns at you, face taking up the entirety of your phone screen as the two of you facetime before his game—a little tradition that he’d started doing on roadies after the two of you started dating and he’d won an away game after you’d wished him luck via facetime.
it’s been a while since you’ve been to one of his games. your schedule never seemed to match up with his; you were always on work meetings or too busy to make it to a game whether it was in or out of town. but this time, you had enough time.
you’d used the several sick days you’d acquired from your job to call out for a few days, just enough to fly to missouri for their last game in the season. but you’d kept it a secret from michael, letting logan in on the secret to keep him preoccupied.
“i’m sorry, baby,” you say softly, leaning in closely so michael can’t see the airport behind you. you talk to him through earbuds, fingers crossed that the mic doesn’t pick up any weird background noise. “i’ll be there, in spirit,” you lie easily, glancing upward to see that your gate is boarding.
michael let’s put a dramatic groan, “it’s not the same,” he insists. “i just wish your boss wasn’t an asshole. you work too hard and he doesn’t ever reward or notice you!”
you chuckle, “i know, mikey. it really sucks, but i’ll be at home watching the tv and cheering you on. okay?”
michael sighs and runs a hand down his face, long fingers rubbing at his jaw. “okay,” he finally relents. he sighs again, “i better get going. i’m sorry, babe.” he frowns and the sight makes you frown.
“it’s okay, mikey, duty calls.” you reassure him softly, getting ready to board the moment you hang up. “i love you, okay? i’ll be watching.”
he nods and lets you know he loves you too before the call dies. you’re up in an instant and board your flight, prepared to see him in the evening.
when you land, you shoot off a text to logan letting him know you’re in st. louis. he’s quick to respond, telling you to go to baggage claim and that someone’s already there to pick you up.
sure enough, one of the assistants is there and grins and waves at you from where they stands. they wear a light blue uhc polo, the team’s logo hidden under a dark vest.
they help you with your bags and the folded poster you carry and drive you to the enterprise arena, letting you drop your bags off with the team’s things inside the bus for you to grab later. they hand you your ticket, a seat up against the glass so michael has a good look at you during warm ups, and then run off.
you get to your seat and unfold the poster that you’ve tucked under your arm. you hold it up to the glass, showing the two teams and everyone around you the words you’ve written on them.
‘i’ve come a long way—puck or stick?’
you watch as multiple players skate past you, smiling wide when clayton does a double take and waves at you and when logan winks. it takes a few more players to skate by until michael sees you, sign held high above your head and a large smile on your face.
he skates up to where you stand, giddy and smiling widely. he bangs on the glass, even though your attention is already on him, and turns around to receive a puck shot in his direction. he smiles as he scoops it off the ice. you bring your sign down and watch as michael brings the puck to the player bench and grabs a sharpie. when he returns, he takes the time to write something down quickly, glancing at you with a soft smile and flushed cheeks.
he knows you’re going to scold him later, but he brings the puck to his lips and presses a kiss to the cool rubber before tossing it over the glass. you catch it immediately, ignoring the other fans and children screeching beside you.
michael points at the puck and mouths, “read it!” when you catch it. when you look down, you smile at michael’s scratchy writing, the words i love you written on the puck.
you look at him and smile, pressing a palm to the glass. he reciprocates and presses a gloved hand to yours before the timer runs off.
“this game is for you,” he says, and you can barely hear it but you can tell what he says regardless.

When he’s working late at the theater, he spots a punk girl with a younger girl on her hip, chatting with the kids. He doesn’t recognize her though it can be passed off as being new around, but she’s unnerving in a way
It might just be her mannerisms though, she’s so chatty and open with everyone
@puppy-love-canis
He tilts his head, taking in the scene and smiling at the small child she’s holding.
Mikey directs his attention back to his task, checking the wiring on the old mic pack in his lap. He hums softly as he works, Greenday’s Holiday.

they can't let frank wear a collar and leash on stage because he'll get the leash tangled around something like a slapstick comedy and he'll end up dragging two guitars a mic stand some poor crew member a speaker mikey and half the drumkit around as he throws himself around while playing
