College modern AU Labru thoughts (cuz I really like the thought of modern au dunmeshi)

I feel like Kabru (working on his PhD in Forensic Psychology or something) would create situations in order to "bump into" Laios (working on his masters in Zoology/wildlife biology or something, started late cuz he was struggling with what to study, also tried to join the army or something but couldnt make it past bootcamp) and everything would go wrong

Like:

Staring at him intently at the bar, hoping to make eye contact (chilchuk notices and gives him a wtf look before convincing laios' group to leave for another bar)

Wearing a certain scent to catch his attention (altho I feel like he would accidentally fall into a trash pile so he would just smell like trash)

Dropping something/bend and snap (I think he pretended laios dropped something in canon, but laios doesnt notice)

Literally bumping into him with an iced coffee or something (accidentally times it wrong and bumps into mithrun instead)

Trying to compliment their outfit (laios had headphones in and was running late to class or something so didnt hear)

Wearing a revealing outfit (something with a boob window and tight leather pants and some chains and eye liner; laios notices but doesnt say anything, is just very red and walks away quickly)

Pretending to get mugged (he ropes kuro and Mikbell into it and they almost get the shit kicked out of them; kabru apologizes with food)

((Laios has noticed Kabru but is too socially awkward he hasn't said anything until they end up having a class together the next semester (probs an elective or something?? Idk if have to look over that stuff lol) and end up being paired up on a project together or something.))

Kabru: *chugging water after finally getting over his coughing fit*

Laios: *pouting* "But you got to say you're "hear me out," which was just that elf character from the book you like. It's not even that outlandish..."

Marcille: "..."

Falin: "Brother, some people aren't into the same things you are..."

Laios: *deep sigh* "fiiiiiine, even though we were supposed to say non-human things..."

Kabru: I MUST study him...

Grim went off her food today. vomited up breakfast, and then refused to touch anything further. I thought the vomit was Pangur’s at first, so I spent the whole day babying her and hand feeding, until dinner when it became clear Grim was the one with nausea.

I’ve been doing my best to keep Grim from the kitten food, because the high fat content can give adult cats pancreatitis, but there’s been a couple times where I’ve put the food somewhere I thought was inaccessible only to find Grim up there accessing it. I didn’t think she’d stolen more than a couple mouthfuls, but her symptoms today seem very pancreatitis-y.

I’m so angry at myself for not having done a better job keeping the kitten food out of reach. I took her to an emergency vet (my regular one was closed) and they’ve decided to keep her overnight. the bloodwork tomorrow should show whether it’s pancreatitis.
