One thing I’ve noticed about people in or entering their 30s is they don’t make as many compromises anymore. If someone doesn’t meet them halfway, is not up to standard, is just not where they’re needed to be, they’re just like “ok cool” and they move on from the person. Which is not to say they’re less empathetic or understanding, but more that they have learned that time is their most prized possession and they’re not willing to make massive compromises on it. They are not obsessed w the idea of fixing someone (bc the concept of fixing a person doesn’t really exist). They simply move on to someone who is up to par. I want that. I want to always move w the awareness that time is my most priceless belonging and I can never buy it back. Ever. So I have to use it wisely

hihi! i figured i’d share this for anyone who is interested! what started out as a way for me to get to know rowan and play the new pack has now deviated into… something more O_O

so the current gp is an alternate universe of Tessellate and the choice made that changed certain events was Rowan choosing to move on from Atlas in part two of White Rabbit. i can’t go too much into detail about that part though for spoiler reasons but yeah! nothing about this is canonically correct but we do get to learn about rowan, how he evolved through change and see some events that do take place in White Rabbit!

also because my mind has been racing over the what if’s or how certain character arcs changed, here are some things that occurred to me in thought! all hypothetical of course bc i know there’s one part here that might get a few (it got me LMAO):

The whereabouts of Atlas are completely unknown at this point as he separated himself from the friend group, thus leaving himself completely unchecked

☆ Atlas never developed a connection with Taryn

☆ Taryn in return has remained in a similar state in which she was introduced, which is this state of feeling like things are stable in her life but incredibly stagnant.

☆ Dan still met Ares, but I’d like to think things went a bit more smoothly

☆ Kai does come out of the closet much sooner however, he and Taryn do have their disagreements from time to time but it’s more subtly as Taryn doesn’t really have that confidence to speak up

☆ Frances… Wouldn’t have needed another source of income so… They never met Icarus BWUGHHHH ! i mean maybe they could have met in some different way....??? hmm

*taps mic* Celebrities do not owe you insight into their sexuality, nor do they have to define or abide by your standards of how they act regarding their sexuality. You do not know them personally enough to inspect their private lifestyle in such a way, and even if you did that behavior still isn't warranted. Just because celebrities are more known to the public, doesn't negate the fact that they are people with feelings and aspects of their lives that they might prefer to keep quiet about. Sexuality, in general, is an intimate thing, that everyone experiences and expresses differently, and having random strangers deny or question their queerness does more harm than good. Stop acting like you're entitled to it.

I’ve been pondering Rui’s relationship to his gender forever…… Ultimately, functionally, I think Rui is a cis guy, in that I don’t think he’s particularly attached to being a man, but neither is he at all in conflict with the expectation that he is. If you could goad him into developing a sense of self unreliant on how other people perceive him, then there’s another conversation to be had, but as it stands, Rui is content to play to the audience. That’s why he so often plays the villain, no? Because it’s a role that suits him, path of least resistance in the eyes of the spectator. I think gender occupies a similar space of “roles he’s expected to play”. I don’t think he much cares about masculinity except as relevant to the showman/gentleman bit, but that’s nonetheless something he consistently plays into, and doesn’t feel the need to step outside of.

I think there should be canon alternate universes where this happens. I wanna see what could be done if Malcolm had been raised as an Allen. I wanna see what Barry's life would have been like. How the Flash legacy might have changed? The Thawne lineage? That might not exist at all if Malcolm never develops a hatred for Barry. (Bart still might though with his perpetual paradoxical existence.) Also what about the existence of Don and Dawn and their history? Would he have had the chance to raise his kids in the 20th-21st century? Would Don and Dawn been alive longer in the 20th-21st century?

There's just a lot of details that could be thrown up into the air by shifting the course of both Barry and Malcolm's lives in this one little way.

In my imagination of red and leaf being twins and both autistic I think the only reason leaf doesn't have the same totally blank 😐 face as red is because she did the age old classic of practicing facial expressions in the mirror every day until she learned the basic ones. She also made her default expression a smile 🙂 to seem more approachable.

Unfortunately since the expressions don't come naturally to her and she had to learn them, the can come off as exaggerated/overly dramatic. Which is fine for some people but others find it equally as off-putting as reds poker face. It makes her a little sad when people dislike her because of it bc shes doing her best to fit in but can't seem to get it right.

She puts a lot of effort into masking at least when she's a kid-teenager but once she's older and has made more solid friendships she can let herself relax and not need to stress about it so much, although in social situations she may still slip back into old habits.

Red does not mask and never really has. I choose 2 believe his mom was really supportive and accommodating so he wasn't forced to hide his autistic traits unlike leaf. This is because in my au they are twins but their parents split and leaf had to stay with their dad. Who is not as understanding as their mom.

Idk if he'd be actually horrible to her but he was not as patient or understanding as their mom + leaf also just craved more friends and wanted to be able to socialize more so she eventually learned how. Red is content with the 4 people he knows (mom, oak, daisy, green) and prefered to mostly be alone so he didn't have that motivating factor to do it.

He was very content with having one friend, green, but he was def lonley during their "rival" phase when green stopped hanging out with him and was focused on trying to prove himself in some way only he understood or worried about. Along with that is green also being the master of masking for the most part. I don't see oak as being particularly accommodating and patient with him so while Daisy probably was, she's also not a parent so she couldn't be responsible for caring for green the way oak should've been.

As they got older green also craved to be seen as cool and popular amongst his peers so he started masking heavily and also distanced himself from red. Unfortunately he realizes that being accepted for a fake version of himself by mainly strangers is actually very lonley and he misses their friendship 😢 but atp he probably figures red wouldn't wanna be friends again bc of how green ignored him for so long so I think they don't become close again until After the gym challenge "rivalry"/red dissapearing/reuniting years later. So they were both missing each other a lot but both felt unable to reach out bc of the distance that grew between them when green pulled away. Anyways tldr green pro masker leaf trying very hard to mask but struggling a bit and red rawdogging his autism never masked a day in his life.
