I love how varied and universally weird the circumstances for making lifelong friendships are. Here's this guy I accidentally messaged once and I could not imagine my life without them now. Here's this girl I was so scared of when I met her, I would kill for her and remind her to rest on the regular. Here's this other guy we have so much in common we used to joke we were the same person in different timelines. It took us years to meet in person and I attended his wedding. There are also people who entered my life in absolutely unremarkable ways but changed it forever for the better. It's wonderful how easy it is to find people to love.

That is a good point. They can't cross moving water, sun's out and fuckin', and you know another reason Dracula and the Weird Sisters aren't at the beach? Because this is my house, and I say so. In the stylings of a true beach episode, no conflicts are allowed to take place other than very small and inconsequential ones.

Is Jonathan ever going to stop clinging to Quincey like a frightened cat and finally... stretch out his legs and realize they're only in waist-deep water? Will Quincey get fed up and toss him into deeper waters like a football?

How will the Godalmings cope with their awful sunburns? Will Jack answer their cries with the fabled "I told you so" or offer real aid?

How will Mina finish her book with Van Helsing blustering about how some hot guy didn't wave back at him?

You're probably trying to not repeat characters, but I just suddenly think of beginning Naruto as the Fool and Shippuden/Hokage Naruto as the world for some reason. Also I just read that 3 symbolises creativity and want to see Deidara there(maybe 3 of wands?)

You read my mind actually!! You're right, I am trying not to repeat characters, but I cannot get the idea of little og Naruto as the fool and then hokage Naruto as the world out of my head. It would just be so satisfying, especially considering the fools journey through the major arcana! I havent had any ideas for the world that I love half as much as two narutos tbh.

Like the imagery in my head for the fool is naruto how he is introduced to us: running around on rooftops after defacing the hokage faces. I feel like that would be an easy way to fit in a lot of the "traditional" imagery for the fool and also capture a lot of aspects of the card in a way that is intuitive to read. Recklessness, the older meaning of an outcast, but also the limitless potential for growth that we KNOW a protagonist has. Naruto is truly the perfect fool card.

And then to have the world be the hokage ceremony with the entire village in the background? Showing the fool achieving that potential and the outcast finding a sense of belonging? I'm gonna make myself cry lmao.

I actually haven't seen creativity mentioned much in 3 of wands, though you'd think wands is where you'd see any connection between 3 and creativity. I think 3 of wands is more about committing to your goal, waiting to see how the plans you set in motion pan out, and finding out if any risks you took were worth it. It's quite a grounded card for the wands! Deidara will definitely be in the deck though, I like him too much to leave him out.

Yes, Asirpa feels definitely odd. I think the idea is she has too many things in her head like what do do with the gold and with Ogata and her sense of guilt for almost killing him.

Her own is a situation wather complicate for a child...

Thanks to the last ask I'm now imagining a US adaptation of Dracula where everyone is American except for Quincey who charms Lucy with an Aussie accent. (I'm not sure if VH stays Dutch or also go American)

There was actually a podcast set in 2014 where Dracula is moving to San Francisco instead: The Dracula Files by StoryForge Productions. Don't know if it was ever finished? It's supposed to be three seasons, but I can only find the first season. Quincey is still Texan in it but doesn't really have an accent? And Van Helsing doesn't appear in the first season.

I was in dread at the start of the sentence that you were going to say Quincey was British, and I would have been like "Absolutely not" iojegrpja. I swear I'm not Anglophobic, it's just that it would just be that one guy from Love Actually, and I would hate that. Aussie is definitely a good way to go. Though... probably not during the same time period, because Australia didn't really have its cool Outback reputation then...

Hmm. What is the American equivalent of the Dutch-English dynamic... Maybe Van Helsing is still Dutch, but he's Belgian lol. But like logistically, it would have to be a nearby country, but America is...

I'm thinking too much about this. I would recommend The Dracula Files if you aren't bothered by it being unfinished. Jonathan's whole section is amazing. But there is a lot of whispering that suddenly escalates to screaming, so it's not a pleasant auditory experience. Especially in the medical logs-- Renfield gets very loud while John is whispering.

Regarding the late release ask: is it about the raw version or the English translated version? Because the Chinese version I read updated on a regular basis just like always. If there's a reason for the delay of chapter 185, I think it might be due to Japan having a day off on Dec. 24 (Dec.23 is their emperor's birthday and since this year it falls on a Sunday, Dec.24 was also made a holiday so they don't have less a day off). I don’t really know as I’m not the one who did the ask but the answer for either the raw or the scan is the same, holiday break, which is why I didn’t worry about if it was one or the other.

In fact the raw for chap 185 are out by a while so, if it’s talking about raw, it’s about the ones for chap 186, which won’t be released this week because Weekly Shonen Jump doesn’t get released this week as they take their usual end of the year holiday break.

If it’s about the English scanlations of chap 185 the English scanlators wrote on their web they would be on a holiday break so again the reason is holiday.

Still thank you a lot for the extra info on why Noda takes breaks here and there! They’re really apprecciated!
