his godly children are zagreus (god of rebirth), melinoë (goddess of ghosts) and makaria (goddess of blessed death)

in percy jackson we have;

hazel levesque - died and was reborn

nico di angelo - self-proclaimed Ghost King

and bianca di angelo - who died in the first (and one of the only) books we saw her in

no clue if this is intentional but it's food for thought

Family Dinner in the Underworld

Will awkwardly sitting there, disturbed by the staring of Melinoë.

Frank, Nico, Hazel, Hades, Persephone and Zagreus chilling.

Will: “Um… I didn’t know Nico had such a… big family.”

Persephone: “Yes, I suppose we do have a big family.”

Will: “So… Melinoë, you see ghosts?”

Melinoë: “Yes. And I drive mortals to madness.”

Will: “Do you… How do ghosts… y’know… react?”

Melinoë: “Well, all ghosts are different. Some seek vengeance, some are laid back. But that’s not what you mean is it? Ask me.”

Will: “There’s a doll on earth, a ragdoll, and people say it has an evil spirit inside. Is that true? Because that would change everything. That’d make it true crime, right? And with that being linked into true crime then all ghost crimes are true crime. Which is so interesting. Can you imagine? Then cops would have to take them seriously and they’d be classified as supernatural murder. Anyone who had seen ghosts would be taken seriously. Which would then change the course of mental hospitals. The whole justice system would change. That would be so interesting!”

Melinoë: “Yes, Annabelle is inhabited by a ghost.”

Will: “Seriously?!”

Will starts to rant again, asking questions.

Zagreus: “Is he always like this?”

Nico: “He’s really into true crime.”

Frank: “But if ghosts are committing murders then why haven’t they been taken to the underworld?”

Nico: “Well, that would ruin the fun wouldn’t it?”

Frank shifting uncomfortably.

I have this little headcanon that some of the godly relatives (or really close people to their parent, but mostly close relatives) likes to check upon demigods or they do by the parent of the child request

So I'm sharing my thoughts about this!!

Leto LOVES to take care of her grandchilds, the Apollo kids are pretty used to the fact that every single one of them have at least one history were they meet this kind woman , she also checks up her niece childs (Hecate) sometimes, she knows that her sister asteria also would have loved to have the chance of meeting her grandkids, so she's there doing that for her

Artemis also has an eye upon her nieces, especially the ones that she seems potential for joining the hunt, but in general she's there at the distance taking care of them

Both Hecate and Hermes kids (who are more aligned to their father cthonic aspect) can get some help of the god or goddess if they are lost in some way and have a pretty good chance of maybe see them in person sometimes

Macaria and zagreus used to visit the di Angelo's house pretty often to see Nico and bianca during summer and spring when hades couldn't be there himself , they also try to look upon them at the lotus casino but it was to risky ( that doesn't stop them from shot Alecto with their questions about their little siblings everytime)

The nine muses kids always end up meeting at least one of their aunts when they are little

Same for the apollonides and the Apollo kids with musical/artistic alignment, 99% of them have seen some of their sisters around them (note* I couldn't really find what was their role as muses so that why I let it vague)

Melinoe used to see how hazel was doing it pretty often, it was for both pluto and Hecate/trivia request, she end up having a little of affection for her step-sister, just a little bit

I would love to see other people headcanons around this idea so feel more than welcome to share your thoughts.

Zagreus to Bianca, Nico and Hazel in that "siblings with a huge age-gap" style.

As in: Zagreus letting two-year-old Nico sit on his shoulders while five-year-old Bianca is dangling from his biceps. People would tell him "Your daughter is so cute!" when he and Hazel take Cerberus out for a walk together. He's the one tucking the kids in. When they do the challenge Nico marches to Zagreus's spread arms instead of Hades. Persephone tells Bianca no but Zagreus says yes so it's a yes. He's the kids' enabler.

Thinking about pastel goth Hazel and then remembering there's other goth subcultures and I'm doing a quick search bc im not v familiar w/ them but from a few glances of the different fashions:

Hazel: Pastel goth/Gothic lolita

Nico: Emo goth

Bianca: Mall goth

Macaria: Pin-Up goth

Melinoe: Nu-goth

Zagreus: Glam goth

Hades: All his clothes are just black or dark-coloured, what the fuck is an "aesthetic"/Corporate goth (for meetings. Or to make his nephew realize he's bisexual)

There's a lot of subcultures and I am not good with fashion and trying to find examples (especially for men's looks) of the various subcultures was. hard, but I think it's pretty good rep of my various headcanons on how they dress!

As soon as Nico is done in Camp Jupiter after seeing Percy, he goes to his brother to complain and whine. Zagreus knows when something is caused by his aunts and uncles being stupid nearly as well as he can tell his father is doing something stupid. Zagreus also pokes in on the quest to Alaska to think them for saving his boyfriend and meet his Roman sister.

God Nico breaking Hazel out of the underworld and Zag being their ultimate cheerleader. Like decades of Zag meeting with Hazel in Asphodel and trying everything he can to get her pardoned but he can’t and it is killing him. Then one day he’s on a run and she’s gone. He’s not too proud to admit that he panics. Bianca has the choice of rebirth and it definitely ached something fierce when she took it but he knows she will make it back the next two times she needs to make it to isle of the blessed. But Hazel? She should be as bound as he is. As trapped. There is no escape. He’s terrified he will be the one sent after her. He knows the defenses the best after all. He would be the to scour the underworld but… the order never comes.

What does come is his little brother, wild eyed and terrified as he tumbles out of a shadow rambling on about how he “fucked up bad this time zag but I can’t leave her gods how could I leave her she deserved more she needs out she-“

(He’s glad one of them got to escape. He’s glad she got to see the surface. Maybe she’ll find that horse she always told him about.)

He has a special interest in the quest to Alaska. Both because his other little sibling is headed for the place she died and because someone took Thanatos. He pops in more than a few times and gets to stay longer because dying isn’t exactly working for anyone right now even him.

Bianca Di Angelo lives au. She's still a hunter, she spends her days running alongside Thalia and visiting her brother at chb. She's there with Nico when Hades tells them about Camp Jupiter but she never visists. She's there when they rescue Hazel, the two trying to find Maria instead.

She's in the underworld with Nico, when he gets captured by giants and taken to Tartarus (I'm not sure abt the chronology here, if he was found first or fell and then taken). Naturally she follows him, willingly falling under her fathers domain. She cannot save him nor get to the doors, instead she gets stuck. A certain curious step-sibling finds her there and helps her survive.

By the time Percy and Annabeth fall, most of the monsters stay away from her. There are whispers, everpresent, the shadows warning each other. The Princess of Hell, The Fallen Angel, The Seraphim of Tartarus. And alongside her the Heir of Hell, The Dead God, a forgotten epithet of Dionysus, Zagreus.

Nico embodies his fathers rule of the dead, Hazel the domain of riches and caves. But Bianca is the dark, the shadow, the just reaper, the fury.

Misery does not survive her trick, The Blood Siren and The Archangel Executioner and The Weaving Juror send a message to all who still think they can threaten them. Nyx lets them pass out of pure respect, claiming Bianca as one of her own despite not birthing her.

Percy, Annabeth and Bianca may not ascend, but the older gods, those related to Nyx, the monsters already treat them as if they had. They come back, an darkness following them wherever they go, no matter what they do, how much they laugh and smile. There is forever a shadow following them, and Dionysus finds that the few times they are in danger he seems to black out, as if shifting to another version of himself.
