Ig the reason people don't tend to like the ship is because so many people just keep her being abusive, but make wander helpless, leading to a not so fun dynamic.

There's three main reasons Deathstar is controversial. My thoughts on them are thorough, and l agree with you that toxic portrayals of their relationship is one of the reasons. It bothers me too. To be clear, I don't have a grudge against any artists or writers at all, and I adore the idea of Dominator being loved by Wander despite not deserving it. However, without any action on her part by trying to be better and no longer compounding her villainous record, the undeserved reconciliation isn't satisfying, it's frustrating.

I'm not going to discuss anything else, because I want to be a lighthearted art blog and the controversy aspect isn't constructive anyway. If you love Deathstar and especially if you draw it, getting bullied isn't uncommon. If it happens, block peacefully and move on. Speaking from experience, other people are friendlier!

But still! He wants to see him, especially since he was already on his way when this happened! So-- he'll just play it smooth and win his heart as a cat.

When Artair finds him sleeping, he crawls on top of him and snuggles in, until Butch is starting to rouse. Then he sits on his chest, and licks his cheeks and the tip and bridge of his nose until he's alert enough to see him. Then he sits back, looking down at him with very large, round eyes, before butting him gently on the jaw and chin with his head.
