Steve Rogers is a firm believer of museums giving back the artefacts that they stole, not only because he genuinely believes people deserve to have their things back, but also because the Smithsonian refuses to give him back his shit, and if he doesn't get his family recipe book, his mother's jacket and his father's hat, god willing he will-

A bit rushed but my sister introduced me to this game and I LOVED it! I wish I could erase my memory of it so I could play it all over again.

Rules: Post Your OC and then 4 Random Pictures (or more) with no explanation to convey your characters vibe.
Tagged by @katsigian @ghostoffuturespast & @elmknight who also tagged me in this:
compassion: 10/10 (she will find ways to be compassionate even when it's entirely unexpected)
bitterness: 6.5/10 (she's not bitter, she doesn't know what you're talking about, she just doesn't like to look back or remember because honestly they can all fUCK THEMSEL-)
happiness: 8.5/10 (she chooses to be happy when she can but life's beatdowns often win so instead she tries to focus on being fiercely free & flexing hope as a muscle)
politeness: 7/10 (I mean, she thinks she's being polite? She's trying. When she wants to.)
chivalry: 10/10 (Zaddy's a gentleman just do NOT slap a bitch in front of her, she won't ask questions & she'll take the warrant without hesitation)
pride: 🏳️‍🌈/10 (jk, she's learned to be proud of herself but she's not overly cocky)
honesty: 8.9/10 (not always honest with herself + memory issues + knows better than to be a fully open book in Night City but genuinely does her best to do right by those close to her)
bravery: 9/10 (this is maybe not always a good thing)
recklessness: 7.5/10 (look, she knows when to be smart & cautious but she also knows damn well she's always been a chaos gremlin at heart, it's how she burns off steam ♡)
ambition: 6/10 (They said "You're going to die!" She said "No." They said "You could be the greatest Night City's ever seen!!" She said "Jackie already is." Then she promptly fucked off to figure shit out on her time on her terms)
loyalty: 10/10 (if you've earned it)
love: 11/10 (she is Love, she is Fire, she is Passion, she is Hope)
sense of family: 10/10 (she's already debating adopting you into her found family as we speak)
attractiveness: 10/10 (It's taken her a lot of time to learn to love the body she's in & modify it to her heart's content. She's more focused on feeling comfortable with herself than what others think about her but it's at a point where she can feel happy & at home in her body)
agility: 8/10 (she's jumping rooftop to rooftop just sometimes she flubs it & lands on her face, luckily she's got built-in damage resistance & a pretty quick heal response)
sex drive: ~/10 (she's demisexual so it depends)
Tagging without pressure @katsigian @ghostoffuturespast @shimmer-like-agirl @baublekute for the oc qualities + @luvwich @fereldanwench @dreamskug @wraithsoutlaws @rosapexa @astarionhistears @cyberpunkaddict @miss--river @glitchinginthegarden @revachol-route-zer0 @victoria-ward420 @teddys-shion @harellan @my-alternatevy @galdorcraeft @mynonsenseistingling @wanderingaldecaldo & anyone else who wants to join in for either or both! <3

WIP Whenever

It's been 9 months since I had an update on the Nomad Vantage since I either didn't have the time or the space to work on it. But big advancements.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I figured out I could just make decals from really thin printer paper and glue it onto the model. The only printer I have access to is a monochrome laser printer, but it turns out if you put clear lacquer over the printed toner it completely seals it. Then use thin pva glue to adhere it to the model. I mean what nomad vehicle would be complete without flaming horse skeletons. Plus a few others.
I also threw some old waterslide decals on it for good measure, mostly to fill out some blank spaces. I went to clear it, to seal down the decals and the lacquer reacted badly to everything but the decals and I've had to repaint around them. Not the worst that's ever happened, but not an ideal situation.

I also added a light bar to the roof to, which helps to break up the silhouette. Gives it a more aggressive profile, as if the armour plated bumper wasn't doing enough.
Next to do is finish fixing the paint and then do some weathering. I should be done before the sequel comes out.

the whole death watch/true mandalorians civil war is so weird in context because its like if a bunch of "good old days" religious conservatives got in a fistfight with 13th century crusade reenactors in the middle of an iowa cornfield
#star wars#redbean talks#mandalorians#death watch#true mandalorians#theyre both arguing for 'feudal government where we can kill people' but they disagree on who exactly should be getting killed#tor: ah yes everything was better before Those People showed up and made murder a crime#jaster: yes but we should instead strive to emulate the historic crusaders with a semi organized military structured around the resolnare#with which we will go start wars because we like fighting stuff#he even has the neocrusader yellow for field master (jasters yellow diamond)#and red for rally master (jangos red circle; montross' red square)#plus the tradition of adopting the resulting orphans after battles#forget university professor modern au jaster#modern au jaster is a random guy who got a restraining order on him because he started beating up corrupt police#now he's a full on nomadic warlord that nobody can seem to catch#he regularly pops up to exchange punches with Old Rich White Christian-Conservative Politician no.40 in random parking lots#nobody knows where he keeps coming from but all the politicians taking bribes keep getting assassinated#even by mandalorian standards his life is weird#(and then a few decades later boba went and did the exact same thing)#like. he went to CD. got a legal job as a journeyman protector. promptly killed his boss and got exiled. wandered around bounty hunting#for a while. and now hes settled down as some sort of outlaw-warlord who starts bar fights with ex death watch members

What Nobody Tells You About Traveling Solo
• You'll cry in places people dream of:
Beautiful sunsets don’t erase inner storms. Sometimes you feel more desperate in paradise than you ever did at home.
• Loneliness becomes your companion:
Not the kind you feel in a room full of people — but the kind that sits in your bones. Some days, it’s just silence. Other days, it’s loud. Very loud.
• You’ll question everything:
Why am I here? What am I looking for? Not every day is magical. Some days are just logistics, anxiety, confusion, exhaustion.
• You’ll crave someone to share that view with:
There are moments so beautiful they hurt — when there’s no one beside you to say “wow, look at that.” The ache of that silence surprises you.
• You’ll feel invisible and forgotten:
In crowds, in hostels, in foreign cities — you're unknown and unseen. Back home — you've become a story. And that limbo state between introductions and goodbyes teaches you about life more than you can imagine.
• It’s not always growth — sometimes it's survival:
Everyone thinks solo travelers are glowing and empowered. But there are nights when you’re just trying to make it to morning, not become a better version of yourself.
• Strangers won't save you:
Not every connection is deep. Not everyone means well. Loneliness doesn't always vanish with company. You’ll learn discernment the hard way.
• Wherever you go, there you are:
You’ll carry your pain wherever you go. New places don’t erase old wounds. They reveal them.
• You meet the rawest version of yourself:
Without familiarity, everything surfaces — the doubts, the dreams, the fears, the patterns. And you face them all – often jet lagged, in a foreign bed, maybe even mid-breakdown.
• You’ll romanticize stillness:
While everyone envies your motion, you long for a bed that’s yours, a room that knows your name, a kitchen, a routine, or just a place to rest.
• Freedom gets heavy:
Making every decision alone — is liberating until you're too tired to even choose a meal.
• You’ll feel emotionally rootless:
Without a familiar face or place to return to, you drift — physically free, but sometimes emotionally unrooted.
• You start measuring time in goodbyes:
New faces, intense bonds, and then — gone. Over and over again. You learn not to get attached. Or worse — you do anyway.
• You’ll realize independence isn’t always strength:
Sometimes it’s a trauma response. Sometimes it's running away. Sometimes it’s loneliness in disguise. Sometimes it’s survival. You start to wonder: am I alone because I’m brave — or because I’m afraid to need someone?
• You’ll learn that growth hurts:
It isn’t just sunsets and journaling. It’s crying in public, making mistakes in new languages, and being humbled — over and over again.
• The world humbles you:
You feel more. You cry more. You love harder. You forgive sooner. You appreciate the little things often taken for granted. You begin to understand what it really means to be alive.
• You become your own anchor:
When there’s no one to lean on, you're forced to learn how to hold yourself. You become your own safety net.
• You’ll be deeply misunderstood:
No one really gets what changed in you. You don’t either. You just know you're no longer the same, and there’s no going back.
• You carry home within you now:
Home is no longer a place. No longer a person. Just you — your story, your strength, your soul — expanding, quietly, everywhere you go.

I do like how the protagonist of Nomad of Nowhere is a scarecrow and the Big Bad is a bunch of crows. Natural enemies.
